9/11

Today is a sad day for all Americans. It has been 10 years ago on September 11, 2001 at 8:42 am that horrific event unfolded. It has been an agonizing disaster that everyone in America will never forget and will forever be etched on everybody's mind.

Have we all changed? Do I think everybody changed? I am not really sure, but I think everyone has become vigilant and fearful of everything! Why is that? Well, for one thing, no one knows when a calamity like this will happen again! Heaven forbids but I do hope & pray that we will not see anything again as horrific as this!

Has our country changed? Our country has definitely changed! Look at all our surroundings....there is a surveillance camera all over the place...at the airport, work place, streets, etc, etc...Seem because of the 9/11, we have ceased to become a democratic country! Sure, we all can still go around our business, but our democratic way of life is changing! Don't you all agree??? It is really sad that after all these years, America that we love is a different country!

Could 9/11 be prevented? Were there people that knew what was coming but ignored it? It seems that with all of the sophisticated technology that we have, that it could have been prevented, is it not? Who knows? Only God knows! And whoever did this will answer to Him on his last day!

Why was the 10th year memorial without any prayers or clergy? That was sooo sad...are we not a nation under God?? I really do not know why the mayor of New York City did that! I really think that some of our countrymen have lost it! They do not want to mention God! That is what the problem is in our country..we have become a country without faith....that is why God's wrath is upon us. Look at all the things happening all around us...earthquakes, fire, floods, etc, etc....We, as a nation should try to re-establish our relationship with God. We should put back prayer and God in our daily lives. Without God, our country will be in a mess, which we are already. Can we, as a nation, go back to being the greatest democratic nation on earth? Only with God's help. And every citizen of the United States should unite in prayer because it cannot be done with just a few. So, how about it? Let's start to put God back in our lives. Who knows, maybe our country will turn around for the better, the one world government will not go through as planned, and there will be world peace!

God bless America! May God bless us all!!!

The Clowns In Washington

Are you tired of watching the clowns in Washington of their debate of the debt, whether to raise it or not? I am sure there are many people that are eagerly anticipating of what the 3 ring circus and their leader will do with the debt!

I am opposed to raising it! Why? It will be very disastrous for America to raise the debt ceiling! For one thing, it will sink us further in the hole, resulting in bankruptcy! If they raise the debt ceiling, it will be just a temporary fix until next year and someone will become a hero for the election next year! Do we want our beloved country to be bankrupt? Of course not! I do not understand why it is taking them a long time to reach an agreement, and politicians are resorting to bluffing, which is not nice! It seems these clowns are children...who all need a hard spanking to wake up! Any takers?????

Both parties are getting ridiculously crazy, not wanting to listen to one another. Or perhaps their sense of right or wrong have disappeared...poof!....our elected officials seem to have lost their fighting powers, or should I say, they have no guts! No balls! They should stand to what is going to be right for the best interests of the American people, not for the elite few! I am sure there are sooo many ways to solve this crisis if all of them put their heads together, not for their own glory but for the sake of all Americans and the United States. They should find a solution that they will be proud of and will go down into the history books as the great government officials that solved the crisis and prevented the downfall of our beloved country! I am sure they do not want to be in the history books as the guys that helped with the downfall of America! All we can do now is pray that God enlighten each and every one of them and teach them to reach right solution.

God bless America! May God bless each and everyone of us!!!

July 4th 2011

On this 4th of July, let us all pray for our beloved country and all of its citizens that we will continue to have our freedom and our country will continue to be great.

Let us all pray that our elected officials do their jobs better and that they be more compassionate towards their fellow men.

Let us all pray that our elected officials do not forget that our country is for the people, by the people and of the people!

Let us all pray that the citizens of the United States put back God above all in their hearts, homes and everywhere.

Have a safe, happy and blessed 4th of July!!!! God bless America!!!!

Doctor's Office Visit

Do you like going to the doctor? Do you dread going to the doctor? How long do you have to wait before you are called in? How long is your consultation with the doctor? These are all very good questions.

Went to the doctor for a visit. Following me to the doctor's office was an irate patient who came on Saturday and the office was closed. The receptionist tried to explain in vain. It was a good thing another patient in waiting started a conversation with the irate patient. Pretty soon, we were entertained by the woman, and within 10 minutes we know some of her family's life stories. That is it! Doctor's offices should have an entertainer! Ya! Wishful thinking! I did not even know that I have been waiting for a half hour!

Once inside the examining room, I waited for another 20 minutes before I saw the doctor which only took 10 minutes! Then I was left in the room for another 10 minutes before blood was drawn from me! I saw the doctor for another 5 minutes and then it was sayonara! Ya, baby! My waiting was longer than my actual consultation with the doctor! Is there something that can be done? Anyone???

Oh, well....we all have to have patience....right?? After all, patience is a virtue!!!!

Computer Woes

Why is my topic, " Computer Woes?" Because there are so many things with the computer that will give you headache, especially if someone is like me that is not computer savvy! You would think that since I have been blogging for a while now that I am really good with the computer! Boy, oh, boy, you got that wrong!!! Hmmmm....let us see... in my opinion, you do not have to know a lot about computers to blog. All you need are your fingers that do the walking in the keyboard, is it not??? You do not even have to be proficient in typing...which is me. I just peck with my fingers and I get by with my typing which was better now than before! Woo...hooo! Are you serious?? You call that typing?? What else do you call it?? Pecking the keyboard??? That sounds like a Chinese dish...Peking duck!!! Yum!!! Do you want some??? Oh my gosh!! I do not know about you. We were talking about typing...the next thing I know.. we are into Chinese food!!! Ay..ya..yay....can you please be serious?? Why??? This is a free country..sort of... so I can day what I want to say! Do you have a problem with that??? Tsk! Tsk! Tsk! Testy! Testy! Testy! Now, why are you talking about toast? Do you want me to toast a bread for you??? Yikes!!! Are you hungry??? All you can think of is food!!! What do you want me to think about??? Ha! Ha! Ha! Oh, oh, never mind...I see your mind is in the gutter!! Back to our topic....

Why don't I learn how to type correctly?? That is really a good question. I was going to say, " What for?" Oh, my gosh! Please do not answer a question with a question! Why not??? Sigh...you are sooo crazy!!! Excuse me...it takes one to know one!!! Ha! Ha! I got you!!!

The computer was so crazy today. I was trying to post a comment, and it would not let me! It took me 30 minutes to figure it out why it was not posting! You did? Wow! Wonders never cease!! Amen, I say to that!!! Am I a genius now??? Not in a million years, kiddo!!! Oh,well.

What else is your computer woe? The keyboard! The letters are gone!! It must be because of my pecking! You are right about that especially with your long painted nails! What does my painted nails have anything to do with that?? You are nincompoop! I think you meant my pointed long nails! Painted...pointed...same thing! Not really....one has an a after p, and the other one has an o after p! Now, you are an expert in spelling!! Are you jealous??? LMAO!!! Do you even know what LMAO means? Yup! Just learned that last month! Wow! You are getting there too with the lingo!! Of course!!! Phew!!! You are sooo proud! Would you not be also if you learn more computer slang??? I rest my case!!!!

Computer woes, indeed! More like a nut case!!! Ha! Ha! Ha! Time to say so long... farewell.....nighty night!!!!! Have a great day tomorrow!!!

Breakfast

What is breakfast? It is the most important meal of the day and the first meal taken in the morning after a night's sleep.

Why is it important to eat breakfast? It keeps your metabolism running since your body is not into a " starvation" mode. And if you skip breakfast, you tend to overeat. Right?

Breakfast does not have to be elaborate. It can just be a hard boiled egg, whole grain toast and fruit juice. It can also be a bowl of whole grain cereal with berries and low fat milk. Sounds good? Sounds too healthy for me! What do I want for breakfast? A Western omelet with hash browns, toast with jelly and coffee! Yummy! But you cannot eat this everyday or you might turn into a big giant person!

How about oatmeal? I heard that many people who eat oatmeal for breakfast regularly has lost weight! I can eat oatmeal once but not everyday! Or how about oatmeal raisin cookies with chocolate chips??? Yum!! You are deviating again from the topic! Oh, oh, sorry. Back to breakfast.....

How about cereal? It is okay as long as you eat the healthy kind! I read that the cereals are losing business. Is it because people just get their breakfast from the fast food place?? It is faster and maybe cheaper? Faster maybe...cheaper...I doubt it.

Well, folks, be sure to eat a healthy breakfast tomorrow! It should include protein and plenty of fiber to satisfy hunger and keep us feeling full until lunchtime! Comments, anyone???

Eat a healthy breakfast....and have a great day!!!!

American Idol 05252011

There is a new American Idol winner......Scott McCreery, a 17 year old country singer!!! That is another guy that won!!! Does that mean that there are no talented young women out there anymore? You must be kidding! Well, I thought for sure that Pia Toscano would win, but she was eliminated. Well, did you vote? No. Why not? I do not know! That is what was wrong, people thought that many will vote for her and did not vote so she was eliminated early! But that is done and over with and Scotty is the winner whether we like it or not!!

How about Lauren Alaina, the runner up? She is okay with her singing, nothing remarkable or unforgettable. Is she the girlfriend of Scotty? Why? When Scotty was announced as the winner, Lauren planted a kiss on Scotty's lips!!! That is right, in front of millions of viewers! Lauren is probably telling the world that Scotty is already taken!! Hmmm....Who cares??

Last night was a big event, attended by so many celebrities. American Idol must have made a ton of money to afford all these big name celebrities! I am going to say again...who cares??? They are not getting money from the people!!! It is not a bailout money!!! Ha! Ha! Ha! That is sooo dumb!! Sorry, I could not resist!

Well, here's to Scotty and Lauren.... congratulations and good luck!!

Dancing With The Stars 05242011

A new champion was crowned last night at Dancing With The Stars! Who?? Can you guess? Oh, my gosh! She is going to keep us in suspense again!!! So?? This is a free country....sort of...for now...is it not?? We can still say whatever! Are you sure about that?? Not really, so you got me..this time!! Oh, well.

When Chelsea Kane and Mark Ballas was announced in the 3rd place, I could not believe it!!! I must have screamed sooo loud that one of our cats came running to see what has happened to me!! Ha! Ha! Ha! Sorry to our cat!!! It must have been really loud!! I could not believe it that Chelsea and Mark came in third! I was holding my breath when the winner was announced because it was between Kirstie Alley/ Maksim Chmerkovskiy and Hines Ward/ Kym Johnson! I was going to hurl some crazy expletives if Kirstie and Maksim won! I am sooo glad the winner was Hines and Kym!

Hines and Kym deserved the trophy because he was really good! In fact, I think he is a better dancer than Emmitt Smith! Oh, oh!!! Sorry, Emmitt, but I really think that Hines is an excellent dancer than you! Hines can really move his butt and all of his body....gracefully!!!! How did Emmitt win the trophy on that season??? Who knows??? Oh, well, it is done and over with...so beat it!!! Okedoki!!!

Hines....your mama must have been really proud of you!! I am also amazed how Kym can continue despite her neck injury!! Kym just kept on going and going and going like there was no tomorrow!!! Congratulations to Hines and Kym!!! Now, Hines has another trophy to display on his showcase!!! Way to go, guys!!!!

American Idol 05192011

There are just 2 contestants left on American Idol, since Haley Reinhart from Wheeling, Illinois was sent packing last night! The 2 left are Scotty McCreery from Garmen, North Carolina and Lauren Alaina from Rossville, Georgia. Are the 2 left the creme of the crop?? I do not think so...they are just very, very lucky!!! I would have loved to see Pia Toscanowin. Pia must not have very many fans like James. Oh, well. Will the winner this season be like some of the other winners who did not make it in the real world??? That remains to be seen!

The show last night showed the remaining 3 visit their hometowns. Wow!! They sure had a big, warm welcome which made them broke in tears. That must have been such an emotional day to these 3 young people! They are now celebrities and closer to thie dreams which I hope they will conquer!

Who do you think will win? Scotty? Lauren?? I guess we will have to wait until next week!

Have a nice weekend!!!

Dancing With The Stars 05172011

And then there were 3....that is right! Only 3 celebrities with their partners are left on Dancing With The Stars! It is down to the nitty gritty! The celebrities are really feeling the grueling practices, and it seems that the choreography are getting harder and more daring!

Chelsea Kane and Mark Ballas are the top contender this season. Mark and Chelsea are suited for each other...both are young and will push themselves to the limit! Plus they will try anything and everything even if the judges do not like it! Chelsea even won the Cha Cha dance for winner takes all and received the 15 points all by herself!!

Kirstie Alley and Maksim Chmerkovskiy are okay. Kirstie seem to have a very good fan base...she might be able to win it, not because she is the best dancer of the season but because she is the most popular of the 3 celebrities!! Kirstie really looks good, she has lost a lot of weight! Hopefully, she will keep her nice body after the season is over!

Hines Ward and Kym Johnson are also contenders for the trophy. Hines can really dance even though he is a football player! They are also pushing themselves to some crazy, daring antics which led Kym to the emergency room during practice! From what I can see, Kym has a problem with her neck. She probably is just ignoring it since the competition is not over yet! She is so lucky that nothing major happened to her!

Ralph Macchio and Karina Smirnoff were sent home packing! What was Karina wearing??? She is really trying to be sexy that Bruno Tonioli cannot keep his mouth shut! Did Karina pose for Playboy already?? Because of that, will she be able to come back to Dancing With The Stars??? It must have been a lot of moolah given to her to pose nude for Playboy! Any comments???

Who I really miss in Dancing With The Stars is Edyta Sliwinska. She is beautiful, have a great body and skimpy clothes! I wonder if she will ever come back??? Oh, well.

I guess this is all for now. Till next week.....

A Little Bit Of News

The days and weeks are going fast...is it just me or is everyone experiencing the same?? It is the middle of May but it seems we are going back to winter! It was cold yesterday and this morning, it is only 47! That is too extreme...it is not winter! Do you see the white stuff? Only on some people's heads!!! Ha! Ha! Ha! You are nincompoop! Tell us your news....enough of your nonsense! Excuse me, what do you call my blog? Nonsenzetalk. I rest my case! Ha! Ha! You cannot, win, can you???

This week, the " National Debt Ceiling" hit it's congressionally limit of over $14 trillion! That is a lot!! What will be the consequence of this for the younger generations?? Yikes!! Let us hope and pray that our government solve this catastrophe! Watch the video of doodoorazzi.com

Unemployment is still high! According to Wall Street Journal, 5.5 million Americans are currently unemployed and not receiving benefits! Only 66.8% of American men had a job last year which was the lowest level recorded in US history! That is a shame, is it not?? Today, there are 44 million Americans on food stamps which is 1 out of every 4 American children. This is a big jump from 2007 which has only 26 million Americans on food stamps! Speaking of food stamps, did you know that JP Morgan is the largest processor of food stamp benefits in the United States? That means, the more Americans that go on food stamps, the more money JP Morgan makes! Did you all know that in 1965, 1 out of every 50 Americans are on Medicaid? Today, that number is 1 out of 6!!

The % of millionaires in Congress is more than 50 times higher than the % of millionaires in general population! According to a new report from AFL -CIO, the average CEO made 343 times more money than the average Americans did last year! How about the members of Congress giving some of their money to help with the US debt instead of dipping into the pensions of the old people, the social security and Medicare??

Dancing With The Stars 05102011

Would you like to guess who was send packing today from Dancing With The Stars? I was kind of surprised a little, to tell you the truth. So, tell us, who was booted off??? I am not telling! Why? It is a suspense! Yikes! Here she goes again with her suspense! That is not fair! Tell me, what is fair in this world of ours??? See, you cannot give me one! Excuse me, you are deviating from your topic! Who cares? I can do what I want since this is still a democratic country, is it not? Not really. Oh, ya? Do you want to please elaborate? No, thanks...I am going back to Dancing With The Stars......

There were only there were only 5 celebrities left in the competition. One of them is Chelsea Kane and Mark Ballas. She is always fun to watch with the edgy, cool and modern choreography by Mark Ballas. Chelsea surely can deliver what Mark asks her to do...with grace and gusto! These two have a very good partnership and I will not be surprised if they win at the end!

Kirstie Alley and Maksim Chmerkovskiy seems to have a hate- love relationship. Or are these just a show for the viewers?? I am really amazed how Kirstie look! She is still chubby but you can tell that she lost some pounds. That is why Maksim can really lift her better without injuring himself! Plus she does not seem to be clumsy or losing anything anymore! Did she regain her self esteem??? You bet!!! I do not think that she will win unless she has a big fan base!

Hines Ward and Kym Johnson. I still cannot believe how mellow and nice Hines is. He has a very good rhythm and can really move all that body and butt gracefully! Are you sure he is a football player??? He is not stiff at all! He also has a chance to win this competition.

Ralph Macchio and Karina Smirnoff. Ouch!! I am sooo amazed how Ralph can still dance in spite of his injury on his leg! He is one strong and courageous competitor! It is probably his Karate kid upbringing. Is that right, Ralph? How about Karina? When is she posing for playboy? Will she be able to return to DWTS after her stint with the playboy czar???

Romeo and Chelsea Hightower. Romeo has rhythm and can really dance! What don't I like with him? He seems to be goofy and have a big ego. Is it just me or have you also noticed it?

Well, I was really surprised at the voting outcome! I thought for sure that Ralph will kiss DWTS goodbye since he has an injury, and it is useless to prolong his agony! I was wrong! wrong! wrong! It would have been better for him to go at this point, but I guess the viewers felt sooo sorry for him that he was saved! So, that leaves Romeo, Hines and Chelsea. Sound the drums please.....Romeo was booted off tonight! I am predicting Ralph to hit the road next week. I might be wrong ...since he seems to have a strong following! We will have to wait and see next week!

Worldwide Fatima Rosary May 13, 2011

America Needs Fatima is asking the faithful to please pray the Holy Rosary this Friday, May 13th. Why on May 13th? It is the day, May 13, 1917, when Our Lady first appeared to the three children at Fatima. Our Lady said," Pray the Rosary everyday to obtain peace for the world!"

The aim is to get 1 million people to say the Rosary on that day, and hope that it will be worldwide.

How about it? Please join everybody and say the Rosary on Friday, May 13th!

May God bless all of us!!!!

Mother's Day 2011

Tomorrow is Mother's Day. How are you celebrating the day with your mother? Will you be treating her to a nice dinner in a restaurant? Or are you making dinner at home? Perhaps a carry out? Are you showering her with flowers, chocolates, a plant, a jewelry, a purse? Are you crazy? I wish I could but with today's economy, just a little something inexpensive. I am sure the mothers out there will appreciate anything...even just a greeting coming from the heart!

I wish my mother is still alive today. I miss her dearly and I am sure all my brothers and sisters do too! I can just reminisce how great she was...her company, her conversations, her cooking, her playfulness, her sense of humor, her endless sacrifices so that we will have a bright future, and most of all, her unconditional love. That is right, a mother gives to her children anything and everything without any qualms. She will fight and protect her children without regard to her own safety! I can go on and on and on about how our mothers are so wonderful. Without our mothers there would not be any great men and women out there, don't you all agree?

HIP! HIP! HOORAY TO ALL MOTHERS!!! YOU ARE ALL BEAUTIFUL, PATIENT, KIND, LOVING AND WONDERFUL!!! THANK YOU!!!

HAPPY MOTHERS DAY TO ALL MOTHERS AND MAY GOD BLESS ALL OF YOU!!!

Friends

Friends...what are friends for? To laugh with? To work with? To play with? To cry with? Or is it simply to hang around with? Whatever is the reason, it is nice to have at least one friend! I remembered my father, bless him, a very smart and wise man. He told us not to be too near nor too far with your friends! And I wholeheartedly agree with him! Why? If you are very close to your friend and knows everything about you, when the friendship disintegrate... the whole nine yards of your dirty laundry is exposed! Am I right or not??

On the othere hand, if you are very far from your friend....that is not really a friend, is it not? There is a good word for all of this....moderation! Is that a good word or not??? Comments, anyone??

Some friends come and go. Others have been blessed of being surrounded by their friends since they were really young. I applaud these people that have hang on to their dear friends for a very long time! But that also mean that these people have not moved out of where they were, unless they just kept on communicating with each other all those years! The generation now is really lucky to have so many new gadgets as a result of technology that has been advancing with no stopping on sight!

Is the new technology really great for us or not? There are some pros and cons. One of the good thing about it is that you can really communicate faster with someone even if they are in Timbuktu! Ha! Ha! Is there such a place as Timbuktu? I do not know! What are you against the new technology? Anyone can see what someone is up to any time of the day! Seems we have lost our freedom to be incognito! Then, this is good...everyone is like a celebrity! Except we do not get paid like a celebrity! That is true! We cannot win, can we? Oh, well.

Anyway, let us go back to our topic....friends. It is nice to have one, don't you think so? Problem is sometimes, we become selfish or gossipy that we lose our friends! How do we hold them? Be yourself and do not repeat any malicious gossips about your friend!

Have a nice weekend!!! May God bless us all!!!

Dancing With The Stars 05032011

Another celebrity was sent home! Who? You have to wait a little longer! Why? Because I said so!!! Lmao!!! Would you believe I finally found out what lmao stands for??? Do you all know?? Am I the only one that did not know what those letters are? Oh, well, now I know!! Am I happy? Proud? Not really...actually feel stupid...and what the letter stands for is soo stupid and crazy!!! Back to DWTS.....

Why did they have a guest judge this week? He is something else! His scores are sooo crazy!!! Who does he think he is?? Well, is he not a champion of something? Who cares?? Please do not take him back! He does not know how to score and give criticism!

There are only 6 celebrities left. Who do you think will win? Chelsea Kane with Mark Ballas? Maybe. They are a good pair, and she can really dance! I did not know that Mark's mother is also a ballroom dancer. She can really move! But alas, I think her presence with the celebrities made them jittery. As a result, Chelsea was sooo stiff after Mark's mom gave her pointers in dancing!

Kirstie Alley with Maksim Chmerkovskiy....wow! Kirstie has lost some weight!!! That is why I want to learn how to dance but my partner would not let me since I have 2 left feet. Oh, well. Even though Kirstie is chubby and older, she has musicality and rhythm. Way to go, Kirstie!!!

Kendra Wilkinson and Louis Van Amstel.... Does Kendra even smile?? Seems she has a chip on her shoulder. i really do not like her dancing and her attitude!!!

Romeo with Chelsea Hightower....Romeo can dance, but he seems to be cocky. Does he think he can win this competition? He is kind of obnoxious sometimes with his ways. I do not know, have you all seen it too?

Ralph Macchio with Karina Smirnoff....He has a chance to win. Cannot believe he can dance. His Karate movies have paid off!!

Hines Ward with Kym Johnson...with his built, I was really surprised that he can move and dance extremely well! He is a better dancer than Emmitt Smith, the football player that won a few years back! And Hines seem to be a really nice person...always smiling! Keep it up, Hines!!

Well, Kendra Wilkinson was booted off last night! Great! Who will be next? I guess we will have to wait until next week.

Have a great day!

National Day Of Prayer, 2011

President Barack Obama proclaimed May 5, 2011 as the National Day of Prayer for this year. He proclaimed this day on April 29, two weeks after the 7th Circuit Court Of Appeals finally ruled in favor of National Day of Prayer! Hip! Hip! Hooray!!!

This is the day for all Americans to come together - to pray in unison for our beloved nation. This proclamation follows the tradition that goes back to a very long time ago when the Continental Congress called for a day of " public humiliation, fasting and prayer," to be observed on July 20,1775. See my previous blog on Tuesday, 04/27/2010 National Day Of Prayer.

Prayer has played an important part in the United States and in shaping our nation's leaders. We should all be thankful to God for the many blessings and freedom that we are enjoying. So, how about it? Let us all join one another on May 5th and pray for our beloved America! Let us all forget our differences on this day and go hand in hand praying!!! Wouldn't that be really great and pleasing to God? Perhaps if we do this, God will have mercy and spare us all from further disasters and calamities!

May God bless us all!!!!

Sunday, May 1, 2011

It Is Sunday- May 1, 2011 !!!!

It is Sunday, May 1st!!! So? Please do not give me an attitude today! Why?? Because I feel good!!! So? Let me tell you why it is a good day.

First, it is Divine Mercy Sunday. Divine Mercy Sunday is the Sunday after Easter which the Catholic Church has been celebrating since April 30, 2000. This is a promise that Jesus made for complete forgiveness of all sins and punishment! How do you get a complete pardon of sins?? One has to receive Holy Communion today after going to confession. Confession is a time for repentance. When one goes to confession, God is there with us and the priest. If you missed it today, when is the next Divine Mercy Sunday? If one missed today's indulgence, we have to wait until next year which is April 15, 2012!

The other thing that is great today is the beatification of Pope John Paul ll in Rome. A crowd of 1.5 million people gathered at St. Peter's Square to witness the celebration performed by Pope Benedict XVl. A giant photo of Pope John Paul ll was revealed as the crowd cried and applauded! I wished that I was there to have witnessed this extraordinary event, which is the first step in the process of declaring someone a saint! Now, he is one step closer to sainthood! Hip! Hip! Hooray!! I cannot help to reminisce when I was in Rome in 2009. When I stepped at St Peter's Square, I was in awe..this is one great place where pilgrims come and go and many important events in the Catholic Church has taken place. It gave me the goose bumps going through the Basilica and seeing many tourists from different religion and nationalities in one place! Which comes to my mind....why can't humanity get along?? Why can't we all get along??? You want me to answer that?? Never mind, I will answer it! I will sum it up in three simple words: Power, Greed and Money!!! Any comments, anyone???

Have a great day! May there be world peace! May God bless all of us!!!

The Royal Wedding, 04292011

Why is the world obsessed with the royal wedding? Is it because it was indeed a fairytale, with a commoner in the name of Catherine Middleton marrying a prince? The prince, Prince William is the second in line of succession to Queen Elizabeth 11. Wow! Prince William was indeed a big catch....a prince who is rich and good looking! What else can a girl ask for?

On the other hand, even though Kate Middleton is a commoner, she is beautiful and not poor either. Her parents are successful business people! Some people thought that Kate had her eyes on the prince for a long time, and she succeeded in her baiting him during a fashion show! Go, girl! She knows what she wants and she got it!!! Prince William fell for her....hook, line and sinker!! A modern woman, indeed!

The royal wedding was held at Westminster Abbey in London and was watched globally by over 2 billion people! Almost all of the television stations in the United States was in London to cover the wedding. The atmosphere in London must have been a very festive one with all the people all over the world witnessing the event!

I thought that Great Britain's economy must have been good to afford a grand royal wedding. I do not really know about that but they spent $70 million but because of the tourists and spectator, they made around $100 million! Goodness gracious!!! That is a lot of profit and great for the businesses over there! Hmmm....I wonder if there is something like that over here in the United States that will make such money??? Anyone????

Now that they are married, Prince William was granted soooo many titles by the Queen...Duke of Cambridge, Earl of Strathearn, and Baron Carrickfergus. Kate will be known as Her Royal Highness Princess William Arthur Philip Louis, Duchess of Cambridge, Countess of Strathearn, Baroness Carrickfergus, but not as Pricess Catherine!! My gosh!! That is a mouthful of titles!!

There were 1900 guests in the royal wedding. I was wondering about the date of Prince Harry? What was the ugly clothes that she was wearing? It looks crinkled, the color of the top looks different than the bottom and what was on the side protruding?? Oh, well...Prince Harry...next time inspect your date before she goes out!!!

Congratulations to the newly married couple!!!!

It's The Weekend!!!!

Did you guys missed me?? I have been off for a few days. You did not notice? Boo...hooo...You hurt my feelings!! Not!!! Why were you off?? It is a long story and it is almost 11 pm. I have time...... Sorry, I do not plus I am getting sleepy.

It is not really a long story. We had houseguests during Easter, which was really good! We had so much fun playing, talking, eating and spending the Easter holiday with each other. This are rare occasions now that I really appreciate it when families get together despite the hustle and bustle of everyday living. So, you had a great time during the Eater holiday? Of course!!! I hope you all did too!!

What is it with family?? You can be yourself, and you forget all the worries in the world. Is that right? Right! I did not even think of the high prices of food and gas last weekened! Now, I am back to reality! Bummer!!!

Oh, oh, here she comes now with her gripes!!! Come on...let's go! Listen, everyone....Did you see that gas is averaging now at $4.05/gallon. Wow! Suppose you only make minimum wage and your job is far, will you be able to afford your commute???

How about food? I noticed that the groceries are not jampacked as before with less cashiers. Have you all noticed it too?

Unemployment is still high! Someone just told me that there were hundreds of people that were turned down by a leading fast food place. Yikes!!! What in the heck is going on in our dear country?

I also read that in 5 years time, good ole USA will be out performed by China! Hopefully, America will not turn into a third world country as some people are predicting! What do you think? Will we let that happen?? What are we supposed to do??? I do not know! All I know is how to pray.... please, everyone....pray everyday for our country and the whole world that it will not succumb to a one world government that the few selfish elite wants to do!

Have a great weekend!!! May God bless America, the whole world and all of us!!!

The Sad Forecast For The United States

People of the United States of America...Please do not let this happen!!!

Per the International Monetary Fund ( IMF) , the "Age of America" is ending sooner than what the other people are saying! By 2016, just a mere 5 years from now, the US economy will be overtaken by China.

And whomever is elected US president next year will be the last one to preside over the world's greatest economy! That is truly sad and I cannot believe that our great country is really going down the toilet!!

Maundy Thursday

Maundy Thursday or Holy Thursday is observed by Catholics on Thursday before Easter. It is the day of the Last Supper of Jesus Christ with his apostles before his betrayal, his trial and his crucifixion.

This is a solemn observance where he humbles himself by washing the feet of his apostles prior to the Last Supper. In churches around the world, the priest does the washing of the feet during the service. My gosh, can you imagine how he lowered himself to the rank of slaves by washing his apostles' feet? I am in awe of what He did and the succession of events that unfolded after the Last Supper. I could just imagine that He could have taken the easy way out, but because of His love for us, He endured many demeaning and horrific things.

How many of us will do the same to save someone? One? Two? None? Sad to say, but we live in a society that is full of pride, selfishness, arrogance, anger, etc. Why can't we follow in Jesus' footsteps? Because we are cowards...we do not want to be ridiculed! We want a life that is full of glory and riches with no concern of anybody else! Am I right? Or are these words too harsh? Maybe? Maybe not?

We really have a lot to learn from Jesus. He loves us soo much that He did what He did! Is it not time to change our ways....love others and erase hate in our vocabulary? Let us all try to follow God's way. Maybe then, there will be world peace! Am I asking for a tall order? Maybe, but I believe in miracles! And I know that miracles do exist!

Grocery Stores Self Check Out

The grocery stores self checkout is gaining popularity. Have you all noticed how more and more stores have these self checkout? Anything to conserve money for the businesses! These computerized checkouts do not get paid plus they do not get benefits like health insurance, paid vacation days, paid sick leave etc..etc...

Does everyone like it? If you only have a few items, that is good. Some stores have a limit of 15 items, but there are stores now that there is no limit to the items. What sucks with these self check out is when you are buying produce that does not have a code and it is not on the computer, then you are at the mercy of the checkout person! And sometimes these people are busy, and they can be mean! Why do these people work in these places if they have an attitude problem? Sometimes, I am tempted to tell the manager about it, but I just ignore it. I hope that I really do not lose my patience with them!!

When you have a big item, you have to take it out of the cart to scan it, whereas in the usual cashier checkout, they can just scan it without lifting them out from the cart! I asked one time why, the woman told me that they do not have a scanner? Why can't they be given a scanner? They make lots of money anyway!!! I do not kow why, go figure!!!

Speaking of making lots of money, businesses nowadays, I hope not all, but just a few....the prices are higher because they are going by the high cost of gasoline. Is that not crazy or what? So, I read that it really does not matter if you buy the ones made from China or not, the prices are being hiked by American businesses too!! We cannot win, can we??? In the meantime, the consumers, especially the low income and middle income family are really getting the bad deal all around! Any comments?? Am I wrong or am I right??

Well, folks, let us all pray for our beloved country, that all of this will pass, and America will once again thrive and still be the country for the people, by the people and of the people!!!

May God bless all of us!!!

American Idol 04142011

The American Idol is still going strong despite the controversy surrounding last week's elimination of Pia Toscano! And I thought, like many people, assume that Pia will be the winner this season! Boy!! Were we all wrong! We really cannot predict how the public will vote. That was really a big shock to all of us!!! The judges were equally shocked also! Talking of judges, one of the magazines declared Jennifer Lopez as the most beautiful woman in the world! Hey, Marc Anthony, did I see a good grin??? Of course you know how it feels to be married to the most beautiful woman in the world, you were married at one time to a former Miss Universe, was it not?? You are a lucky " dawg!" LOL. Back to the contestants..... The contestants this year seems to be already in their element...very good and at ease on stage. They do not seem to have a stage fright, and it seems that they are doing their own concerts! Are they really that great?? You bet!! Well, let us see now who are the front runners. Scott McCreery, the big voiced country singer is the one we have to watch on the boy's side. On the girl's side, it is Lauren Alaina, although Haley Reinhart seems to be really showing that she is in the running! But all the idol hopefuls this year are really very talented and anybody I believe has an equal chance of winning as long as they pick good, powerful music that is a good fit with their voice and personality! Kelly Clarkston was one of the special guests tonight. Did she switch to country music? She seems heavier than before and I did not like her song, even though it was supposed to be platinum. I think the judges did not think very highly of her song too...they did not give her a standing ovation which they gave to Rihanna! Who was the idol that was booted off? PaulMcDonald aka Rod Stewart! Hey Paul, I like your colorful outfit and your smile showing off your pearly teeth!! You are one of a kind!! I thought that Stefano was going to go home this week. I was wrong! Oh, well, he has another week to show off his talent!! Well, folks, American Idol just said goodbye to another one. The group is getting smaller. We will have to wait another week to see another one bite the dust! In the meantime....have a great and blessed day tomorrow!!!

Dancing With The Stars 04122011

Kirstie Alley was in the limelight again in Dancing With The Stars!! LOL. This time she lost her shoe when she was twirled down by Maksim Chmerkovskiy! She stayed down for a few minutes putting her shoe back on, while Maksim improvised some steps waiting for her! Ay...ya...yay!!! Kirstie...Kirstie....Kirstie....what will be the next disaster next week??? I think I vote to keep her for the duration of the show!! What do you guys think??? She is very entertaining!!! By the way, is it just me? Seems she has lost a few pounds! That is really good, that is why I told my dear hubby to dance so I could shed some pounds! I did not get a very good response. Oh, well, I guess I will stick to my walking! This episode was different. It was classical night graced by a 46 piece orchestra with amazing violinist David Garrett and beautiful singer Katherine Jenkins! Is Dancing With The Stars trying to teach culture to the American people??? Not a bad idea, except I might fall asleep with the classical music!! Ha! Ha! Ha! I take it you are not a fan of classical music? Not really. But it was interesting to see last night how the dancers were able to dance with that kind of music! There were so many good moves, whether it was the Paso Doble or Viennese Waltz! I did not know that the Viennese Waltz is 300 years old! Wow! That is old!! I learned something new again today! Thank you, Len Goodman! Who was in the bottom 3? Chelsea Kane/ Mark Ballas , probably because of Len's remark about their Viennese Waltz interpretation to the tune of a Harry Potter music and costumes!! The other dancer in the bottom was Kendra Wilkinson/Louis Van Amstel. It seems Kendra has an attitude problem. I was rooting for her to go!! Unfortunately, she is staying and Sugar Ray Leonard/Anna Trebunskaya was eliminated! Darn! Hopefully, Kendra will say goodbye next week and as far as I am concerned she does not have musicality, so she needs to go!!! Does everyone agree??? Great!!!! Until next time!!! Have a great day!!! God bless all of us!!!

Sunday Chatter

It is Sunday....have you all been good today? You are nincompoop! Who in the right mind will say no? Who knows, maybe there is one or two, or maybe several that will be honest to say yes. You never know. That is sooo true! What are you chattering today? How about the tic tac toe. Okay, what about it? It is such a simple game...placing the x or o to block your opponent! Can you believe that it was right there in front of me and I blew it??? I felt soo stupid!!! Everybody can see what the right move should have been but did I do it?? Of course not! What was I thinking??? Who knows??? That is no excuse...it was plain stupid!!! Oh, well, it is a thing of the past, move on!!! Just do not do the same thing next time, which I am sure you will not! You learned your lesson! Next! Government shutdown. It was averted!! Woo hooo....as if we do not know that it will be averted! These people are really good actors, is it not?? And they have been in the limelight for a few days!! Next! I read something interesting, stupid and crazy. The German Central Bank was sending damaged euros to China to be recycled as scrap metal. The inner core separated from the ring around it. You know what China did? China put back together the coins and sent it back to Germany to be exchanged for undamaged euros!!! Isn't the Chinese people smart??? You bet!!! Next! What is this about Donald Trump running for president in 2012? Which party will he be on? Republican? I really do not know. Do you think he will make a good president? Well, they said that his popularity is going up because he is talking about the right things, e.g., Obama's birth certificate. That is one thing about Obama, why can't he just produce it to put an end to this hoopla?? And why aren't the lawmaker's questioning him?? Isn't it too late since he has been in the office for 2 years now??? Comments??? Next Eva Longoria's skimpy 'tuxedo" outfit when she was a guest at Letterman. Letterman could barely talked when a button popped out revealing nothing underneath! Way to go, Eva!!! How come there has been sooo many wardrobe malfunctions of celebrity clothes??? Aren't the designers or whoever makes the dresses check the dresses first before releasing it to the celebrities??? If I am the celebrity, I would have cursed the people that made the dress, unless it is good publicity stunt??? Who knows with the celebrity world. It seems the more they are in the limelight, the better it is for their success!! Am I right or not??? Well folks, this is it for now. Have a nice week!!! God Bless!!!

American Idol 04072011

Unbelievable!! Crazy!! I could not believe who went home tonight on American Idol!! It was the singer that I was anticipating to win!! Well, did you vote? No. You did not vote for your singer so...tough!! She went home and there is nothing you can do about it! but you have always known that American Idol winners are not the real ones that have a good voice. American Idol winners has been and is always who has more people voting for him or her! It is a popularity contest, no ifs, no buts! True, but I am still really sad to see Pia Toscano leave. It should have been Stefano Langone, not her! Too bad, he is more popular than Pia! The judges did not believe the verdict either as seen on their faces! It seems that Jennifer Lopez had tears on her eyes and Randy Jackson's mouth was sooo wide open that a fly could have gone straight to his mouth! I did not really see Steven Tyler's facial expression. Is it because of his long, long hair that covers his face??? Oh! Oh! I am not going to touch that with a ten foot pole!! True, the contestants were all singing their hearts out, but Pia was supposed to be the best of them all! I really thought that the 3 contenders for the trophy were Pia, Jacob Lusk and Scott McCreery. I was also surprised to see Jacob in the bottom 3! Oh, well. With Pia's voice and personality like that, I am sure that she will get a recording contract. Just look at the other Idols that made a name for themselves even though they did not get the title! It is not fair!!! Are everything fair in this crazy world of ours? I rest my case!!!

Dancing With The Stars 04052011

Dancing With The Stars just eliminated Ms. Wendy Williams!! Hip! Hip! Hooray!!! I am soooo glad and sooo happy that she is gone!! Kaput!!! She has sooo much attitude that it is not good watching her! Does she think she is over and more successful than the other celebrities in DWTS? I do not think so! When her name was announced, instead of dancing with her partner, Tony Dovolani, she shook hands with some of the audience and paraded on the dance floor like a beauty queen of something...I was going to say something but I am not going to! Plus she said that she was the one that is sooo busy with her work, family....blah...blah...blah....Does she think the other celebrities do not work and their lives were not as hectic??? Isn't she a doll??? NOT!!!! She is something else! Hope she does not come back to DWTS!! She is such a disgrace to DWTS!!! Enough of her!!! What happened to Kirstie Alley and Maksim Chmerkovskiy on the dance floor? Did Maksim's knee buckled because of Kirstie's weight?? Sorry, Kirstie, but that is what I think I saw! Maksim blames himself which is really a very gentlemanly thing to do!! But it seems that they redeemed themselves, for they still garnered a good score. I really think Kirstie has good rhythm, she can really dance!!! I hope that Kirstie and Maksim are alright for next week's show! The competition is surely heating up, and the celebrities have equal chances of winning the trophy. The remaining celebrities are really nice and they do not let their celebrity status give them a big head. Plus it seems that they are really enjoying dancing even though at times they are petrified and uneasy! I would too if I dance in front of several million people!!! Does Hines Ward even get mad?? He seems to be really nice and gentle! Seems he always has a smile on his face! His mother really did a nice job raising him! No wonder he made such a big name for himself! He can also move his body nicely. What about Ralph Macchio? All I heard from Ralph was his wife! Well, it was their anniversary, and he was having fun! With whom? Never mind, do not answer....it makes me nervous when a man keep uttering the wife! Was there something there that Ralph is kind of uneasy with??? Oh,well... How about Sugar Ray Leonard? I wonder how much he paid the guy from the boxing ring to be at DWTS?? Who cares...you are not paying!!! You are absolutely right!! Well, well, well...I cannot wait to see next week's show. How about you???

The American Dollar

The American dollar has been on top for a very long time. Will it stay to be on top or will it be a thing of the past? This is a very good question that everybody is following. For one thing, a lot of foreign investors have a lot of dollars in their hands. Will they really dump it and replace it with what? The yuan from China? The euro from the European nation? Or will it be something else?? I really do not get it why many countries are sooo eager to get the United States at the bottom of the barrel, but the citizens of many countries keep coming here to invest, have a good life with no restrictions in large mansions and live without any government interference and rule! And why is our government, seems like, is now opting to control everything in sight! Are the United States citizens not capable of tending for themselves? I do not think it is that, I think it is because there are a few elite people that are greedy and selfish that wants to control not only the United States but the whole world! What do you think? Am I right or wrong on my assumption? Comments are always welcome! I have noticed that it is getting worse with the US dollar! You cannot buy anything cheap now! When you go to a store, $50 is nothing! Sure you can buy something, it is not even a full bag if you get meat! Yikes! That's too bad we cannot have live chickens, pigs etc in the city! Even the fruits and vegetables are so expensive! What can we eat that is cheap? Nothing really! How much more can we stretch our dollar? Gasoline is very expensive also! It is now averaging $3.65/gal in Michigan, and I am sure that it is higher in other states like California! But California's pay is higher too than Michigan! That is true, but their cost of living in California is higher! Ugggghhhhh!!! We cannot win, can we? What we can do is just pray that everything change for the better. Let us also pray that there will be world peace. Miracles do happen, and hopefully there are enough people praying for the whole world that maybe God will be really merciful towards all of us! Have a great week, everyone!!! God bless!!!

American Idol 03312011

Extra! Extra! Two contestants were just eliminated from American Idol!!! Who were the two?? Can you guess?? Darn!! Just give it to us!!! Why?? Because... I said so!! Too bad!!! Ha! Ha! If Ryan Seacrest can put people in suspense, so can I!!! LOL.... It seems on the last show, the American Idol hopefuls were really fighting for their lives! They were all, okay, almost all, were really good. I could not really believe the quality of the singing the contestants showed this week! The song were Elton John songs which suits some of them really well! Probably it also helps with someone teaching and guiding them every week! The judges were still the same. Is Steven Tyler really that nice?? It seems he does not want to hurt someone's feelings. He reminds me of Paula Abdul! All he can say are nice encouraging words! I really like that...unlike Randy Jacksonthat is trying to be like Simon Cowell! Jennifer Lopez, on the other hand is in between. She is the belle of the show!!! I really liked her big, large head of hair on the second night! Too bad, the cameramen did not do a closeup with her hair! Why not?? Is it because her hair will not fit the television screen??? Oh my gosh! That is an awful thing to say! I almost fell off from my chair from laughing at your comment!! My! My! My! I thought you liked it! Yes, I liked it..but I really did not see a closeup of her with her gigantic hair!! Enough of JLo's hair! There were over 55 million viewers that voted this week. Wow!!! That is a lot! Does that mean the people liked the 3 judges better than before? Maybe. Let's get back to the contestants.... They changed the format of how Ryan Seacrest announced who were safe and who were in the bottom 3. He calls them for a duet, and then he tells them whether they are safe or not..I think this is better because they do not have to sing after their names are announced that it is the end of the road for them! James Durbin really outdid himself, singing like in a concert and ending it with a piano fire! That was really aggressive and brilliant! Naima Adedapo's reggae singing was good but I did not really liked it! It is time for her to go! Thia Megia is still sooo timid looking! What do you expect? She is only 16 years old! Can you perform in front of a live audience when you were 16?? I thought so!! You have to give her credit! But she has been on America's talent, so she should have had experience! Oh, well. Paul McDonald is really the younger version of Rod Stewart...his singing, his moves...except does Rod Stewart always flashes his pearly white teeth??? I honestly do not remember! Any comments??? Well, at the end, Rod Stewart, rather, Paul McDonald dodges another elimination! Naima Adedapo and Thia Megia saw the end of their American Idol dream. Wait! We cannot really say that it was the end for these 2 ladies. For one thing, they are with the tour and who knows what lies ahead of them?? That is sooo true!! Look at some of the Idol contestants that were eliminated but are successful!!! Anything is possible to all of them!!! Okay then, let us see next week who will be eliminated.... in the meantime...have a nice and safe weekend!!! God bless!!!

Dancing With The Stars, 03292011

Who was the first celebrity to be eliminated this season? Do you want to take a guess? Please tell us!!! Not yet...you have to be patient a little bit more. Why?? Don't you want to know what happened first, who danced what and the scores?? Not really, but I think you will do it anyway! You got that right baby!!!! Let us talk about Tom Bergeron and Brooke Burke first. What about them? Tom is as usual... a smart aleck with Len Goodman once in a while, and Brooke Burke still posing a lot while flickering her eyes! I will admit though that Brooke had nice figure hugging dresses for the last two nights! And to think that she has several children!! That is such an accomplishment!! What is it with Dancing With The Stars on the second night? The first hour is a rerun of the first night? Why?? Plus, they sure know how to waste time on the second hour! Why do you say that? They already showed the celebrity dances, but they do it again and again before the eliminations are announced!! Well, they want to fill up the whole hour, and what is a better way to do it than to recap the dances?? Oh well.... I just thought I will mention it. Who was good this week? Romeo with Chelsea Hightower with the quickstep was good, but it seems he is trying sooo hard to be macho and a Romeo with Chelsea!! Isn't Chelsea too old for him?? Age does not matter with celebrities! That is true, and I forgot!! Ralph Macchio with Karina Smirnoff was also good with their Jive. It was fast and lots of energy!! Hines Ward with Kym Johnson in their Quickstep was also good, considering that he is a huge guy!! One thing for sure, Hines seems to be a mild mannered guy with a smile always!! Being nice is not good enough to win...you have to have excellent dancing skills! Well, all the celebrities on this season are not as great as the others from previous seasons, so I think everyone had a pretty good chance of winning!!! Except??? Wendy Williams with Tony Dovolani, Mike Catherwood with Lacey Schwimmer, Sugar Ray Leonard with Anna Trebunskaya, Kendra Wilkinson with Louis van Amstel, and Petra Nemcova wuth Dmitry Chaplin!!! Oh....oh...you already picked who you think will be eliminated early! Yes, unless they have something rolled up on their sleeves!!! Mike Catherwood with Lacey Schwimmer was the first celebrity eliminated this season. Ouch!!! He is now in the company of the lousiest dancers in the history of Dancing With The Stars!! Are these celebrities going to compete with each other to redeem their names??? I do not have a clue but they should!!! Well, until next week.....have a great day!!!!

Interesting Tidbits

Have you all noticed how the middle class is slowly dissipating from America? It seems there are only 2 classes now in America: the rich and the poor!!! That is right, baby, no more middle class!!! Is that good or bad?? That is definitely bad!! The gap between the rich and the poor is bigger today!! The rich are getting richer; look at the soaring stock market and the huge bonuses the CEO's and President's of the companies are getting! On the other hand, the poor are getting poorer, which is most of us! There is high unemployment, many foreclosures and lots of families drowning in debts! For one thing, our government have sooo much power and corporations are being catered by the government big time!! Our founding fathers must be turning on their graves for what is happening to our dear country!! The wealthy sure is enjoying the economic recovery while most of us are struggling!!! I read that facelifts for men rose 14 %. Are these the "vain" men from Wall Street?? The average bonus on Wall Street for 2010 was $128,530!!! Can you believe that??? That is ridiculous!!! Why can't this people share their wealth with everyone like our dear president said during his campaign?? While the Wall Street people get good bonuses, employee compensation has been the lowest in 50 years!! Not only that, unemployment rose in 351 of the 372 largest cities in the Unted States!!! How about sale of luxury items? That increased also! Million dollar home sale rose 18.6 %, private jumbo jet sales are soaring, Porsche sales increased by 29 %, luxury jewelry retailer Tiffany and Co announced an increase in profits by 29%, Cadillac sales are up by 36 %, Rolls royce reported an increased in sale by 171%. You and I could not afford any of these luxurious items....so who are buying these??? The rich people of course! We do not even go shopping now because of the high cost of gasoline and food!!! Thank goodness we have some TV programs that we can watch to keep us entertained!!! I could go on and on but I am just sooo disgusted with the way that our society is heading into!!! Share the wealth indeed!!! Did you all know that there are more than a million families that lost their homes due to foreclosure, and that is expected to increase in 2011??? Yikes!!! Unemployment is at a standstill at over 10 %, same as last year; half of American workers make only $25,000/ year or less?? How could you afford anything earning just this amount while an average CEO makes 185 times more money than an average American worker! No wonder Porsche has announced it is taking orders now for their first hybrid - 918 Spyder! Cost?? A whopping $845.000!!! Wow!! The old, balding men are back into the sports car trick to get young, good looking chicks!!! Yup!!! The dirty old man is back!!! What is our world getting into??? Today, there are an all time high of 44 million Americans on food stamps!!! That is really crazy!! Our once great country has really gone to the dogs!!! What are we to do?? Pray... that our government will open it's eyes to what is happening to their citizens and do something!!! They should really spread the wealth, not only to corporations but to everyone!!! After all, a happy citizen is a happy country, is it not??? May God bless all of us!!! Let us all pray for world peace!!!

Cooking Pot Pie

Why am I talking about cooking?? First of all, I am not a chef and I am just so..so in cooking!! Why do you say that? Remember: never admit to your faults or shortcomings!! Yes, ma'm! Repeat after me: I am a great cook! Okay. I am an excellent cook! Ha! Ha! Ha! I turned it up a notch!!! Oh, my gosh! I do not know about you! Well, do you have a problem with that?? Of course not, carry on.....

I think I am really getting good at it, if I have a recipe! After all, it is just like in the chemistry lab following directions, is it not?? If you want to put it that way and it will make you happy!!! Anyway, I made some chicken pot pie the other day. How did it turn out? Pretty good! Except...Oh, oh...except what? I am so used to baking all the time at 350 that I set the oven at 350 instead of 425! So, I had to cook the pie longer! What else did you do? Instead of making the sauce, I did a shortcut. What was the shortcut? Adding a little bit of milk to the cream of chicken soup! How did it turn out? I was really satisfied with it!! Surprise! Surprise!! What else did you do with the recipe? I used ready-made pie crust. There is nothing wrong with that! You are right! The pie crust was delicious! But...But what?? How come I cannot get the pie crust out of the container without breaking it? It fell into pieces and my pie was not too good looking! What did you do? When I was peeling it in the container, it stated to break into pieces!! Did you defrost it? Not really! That is probably what your problem is!! Make sure it is defrosted next time before you peel it out of the container! Will do, thanks!

Even though my pot pie is not an A + in appearance or presentation, I think it was an A++ on taste!! Sez who??? Me!!! Who else?? Ay..ya ..yay....Why can't you wait for someone to tell you whether it is good or not?? Why?? I have a good sense of taste!! Who cooked it? Me!!! And I am soooo proud of myself!!! In fact I think I will give myself a pat on the back!! Ha! Ha! Ha! Want some??? It is sooo tasty!!! Soooo yummy!!!!

Have a nice weekend, everyone!!! God bless!!!

American Idol, 03252011

Motown returns to American Idol!!! The contestants gave them their all and I am sure that the celebrities were really pleased with the performance of each of the idol hopefuls! The competition is really getting intense, and every contestant is trying to outshine each other!

Ryan Seacrest is sooo dramatic as usual... when he announced who will be on the bottom 3 and who will stay! He gets an " A +" for drama....no wonder he gets big bucks!!! Jennifer Lopez looked really beautiful last night and Steven Tyler is still the same quiet, funny looking guy, who had a birthday cake on the show last night! How about Randy Jackson? The Dawg, I think is trying to be Simon!!

I was really surprised with Naima Adedapo who sang Dancing In The Street. Her showmanship was really great! Last week, I thought she should go. This week she showed that I was wrong and she is here to stay! The other hopeful that I was really surprised was Haley Reinhart! For starters, she took out her beautiful curls and made it staight!! Is that her new image??? It worked together with a little attitude!! How about Paul McDonald? He surely looks and sounds like Rod Stewart! He can make a name for himself just because of that which is a good thing!!

Who were in the bottom 3? Thia Megia, who stepped out from her ballad comfort zone and sang Heat Wave. I think she needs to step up several notches for her showmanship and should lose her shyness!!! But she is only 16!! That is true! That is quite an accomplishment for a 16 year old! Stefano Langone is the next one to be on the bottom 3. He sings good, but his interpretation of Lionel Richie's Hello is something to be desired!! The 3rd person on the bottom 3 was Casey Abrams who is one of the judges favorites! I really do not care for his singing, but I am not a singer and a judge! It was so dramatic how they saved him. Casey started to sing and the judges told him to stopped....they used the one and only save for the season and there are still 11 people!!! Wow!!! I was shocked!!! The judges must really liked him a lot!! As a result, all 11 contestants will go on the tour!!!

Who am I rooting for to win? Pia Toscano, who I believed has the whole package...beauty, poise and voice!!! She just have to show to the world that she can sing other stuff besides ballads!!! The other contender for the title is Scott McCreery with the deep voice! I think that he will go places with or without winning American Idol!! The other one is Jacob Lusk who seems to always get standing ovations from the judges!!! There is no denying that he has a very good voice and he truly has a gift!!!

Next week will be awful for the contestants since there will be 2 that will be eliminated! That should be okay. After all, all 11 will be with the idol tour after the show ends!!

Housing Blues

The housing industry is still having many problems! One of the problem is that new home sales for February, 2011 in the United States hit an all time low , only 19,000 sold! For one thing, how could people buy a house if they are unemployed?? It is extremely difficult to find a job in today's economy! There are so many people that have been out of a job for a year now, and they simply stopped looking! Besides, I read that companies do not even want to hire people that has been unemployed for a long time! That is big time discrimination on these people through no fault of their own that they are unemployed! In that case what is the future for the unemployed people?? That is not fair...and it is sooo sad!! Something has to be done! How about the politicians that are trying to please corporate America by robbing money from the weak, like the elderly and kids by getting their private pensions or education money just to give to businesses to further fatten their wallets??? That is not right, do you all agree???

Let us talk about people that are employed. Even if they are employed, who could afford a 20% or more down payment for a new house especially if you are only earning $8.00 or $9.00 an hour?? Would you not rather spend it on food, which , by the way has been on a steady increase for quite sometime now? What can we do to alleviate the situation? Grow your own vegetable garden this spring and freeze some! I like what some cities are doing...a co-op garden for people to get their vegetables.

Home foreclosures are still on the rise. Did you know that 11% of US homes are standing empty?? Why can't the bank dispose of these homes? Because the mortgage lenders have tightened their lending standards!! Per Mortgage Bankers Association, at least 8 million Americans are at least 1 month behind on their mortgage, and a high number of Americans are "underwater" on their mortgages. There is a projection of 48 % negative equity of American homes by the end of 2011!! Did you all get the valuation of your house from the city??? There is a big decline in the home value but I am so amazed of how much the property tax remains! It was only a few dollars less!! Sigh!!! We really cannot win, can we???

Did you also know that 63 % of Americans feel it is better to rent than to own a home?? Tell me if I am wrong, but I read somewhere that is the future for the people...that the government would rather people rent than own a home! What is the reason for this? I do not know!! Does anyone know if there is a truth to what I read???

Lastly, the cost of oil continues to rise. If the conflict in the Middle East does not stop, we might see the cost of oil rising to $200!! In that case, who can still afford anything??? We need to all pray.....pray.....pray.....

May there be world peace!!! May God bless all of us!!!!!

Dancing With Stars, 03212011

Dancing With Stars, Season 12 has begun!!! I like the start of the DWTS this year - it was enjoyable to watch and it seems that there are more celebrities that have rhythm and can dance!!!

The emcees are still the same, Tom Bergeron and Brook Burke. Brook is still the same old gal that seems to pose a lot and flicker her eyelashes for the camera! How about the judges? Same old judges...with Bruno Tonioli still doing his crazy antics amidst Len Goodman's disgust! And Carrie Ann Inaba is still the same emotional woman!

Ralph Macchio, 49, aka Karate Kid, with Karina Smirnoff was the leader of the pack, earning a score of 24 with their foxtrot! Ralph can really move! Thanks for the days and hours of practice being the Karate Kid, huh Ralph? Too bad, Karina you will not be able to seduce him!!!

I was pleasantly surprised with Kirstie Alley, 60, with Maksim Chmerkovskiy... she can dance the cha cha with that big body of hers!! Wow!!! Kudos to you, Kirstie...hope you go to the finals!!! Score: 23!

Hines Ward of Pittsburgh Steelers with Kym Johnson, dancing the cha cha. I think the score of 21 is too high! You were not that good! Seems Kym did more work than you!

Kendra Wilkinson- Baskett...with his daddy Hugh Heffner watching. Her dancing with Louis Van Amstel earned them a score of 19! I thought her score was low! The judges should have given them a better score since she can dance and move her butt really well!

Romeo, a rapper actor with Chelsie Hightower. He can dance better than his father, Master P, that is why he earned a score of 19! He seemed to be enjoying himself immensely on the dance floor! Is that real or just the nerves at work?? Ha! Ha! Ha!

Chelsea Kane, Jonas star, with Mark Ballas. She is really good...young and pretty!!!! They earned a score of 21! There are some facial feature of her that reminds me of Julianne Hough...don't you guys agree??

Petra Nemcova, supermodel and 2004 tsunami survivor with Dimitri Chaplin. She is tall and needs a lot of practice! Score: 18!

Wendy Williams, talk show host and Tony Dovolani. Yuck!!! No wonder she was crying because she was horrible!!! She should go first!!!

Chris Jericho, wrestler with Cheryl Burke who received a score of 19! I thought the judges gave them a big score because they were afraid of him! Look at his size! And a wrester too? I will really give them a good score no matter what!! Cheryl, will Chris give you some bling??? Remains to be seen!!

Sugar Ray Leonard, 54, boxer, with Anna Trebunskaya. I thought he will be dancing better than that! I was wrong!!! Oh, well...Score: 17!

'Psycho" Mike Catherwood, Love Line co-host with Lacey Schwimmer. Ay..ya...yay...need I say more?? Score: 13!!!

There you are folks, the 11 celebrities who accepted the Dancing With The Stars challenge. If next week will be as good as this week, then I am hook watching it!!

Japan

The devastation in Japan is horrendous killing more than 7,600 and 11,000 still missing! It had been one week since the 8.9 earthquake and tsunami. The greatest concern now is radiation, which has seeped into the spinach and milk from a nearby farm.

There are now 500 emergency workers trying to help in the cooling of the reactors at Fukushima Dai - ichi nuclear plant. How brave are these people who volunteered to save their country and their countrymen's lives! Bless them!

The crisis led to power shortages, food shortages and factory closures triggering a plunge in the stock market. The world are nervously watching because if this happens to Japan, it can happen anywhere.

It was so neat yesterday watching the news about a plane being dispatched to Japan from the United States. The plane can detect the radioactivity of the nuclear plants without endangering the lives of the people on the plane! I have not heard any more news about this? Has anyone heard anything and would like to share to the world?

This is really sad. Soo many sad news around the globe....no wonder there are so many people that are depressed. Will there be any good news?? I hope so!

Let us all help Japan with monetary contributions, a prayer or both. May the Japanese people remain steadfast with their faith and not lose hope!!

May God bless everyone in the whole world!!!!

American Idol, 03172010

Karen Rodriguez, the bilingual singer, was eliminated yesterday from American Idol amidst Jennifer Lopez pleading from Randy Jackson and Steven Tyler! How do I know?? I am just assuming since Randy said the judges were not unanimous in their decision and with the look in Jennifer's face. For me, Naima Adedapo should have been the one to let go! Karen has a better voice to me than Naima! I think Naima is just getting sympathy votes, and she probably will say that she does not care if they are just sympathy votes as long as she can stay and be on tour with the other contestants.

Who was in the hot seat besides Karen Rodriguez and Naima Adedapo? Haley Reinhart! This is the second week in a row that she was in the bottom 3! I guess she is getting used to it! Oh, well, do not worry, Haley, I really love your hair!!!! That is gorgeous....very nice!!!

Lee DeWyze, a former American Idol champion was one of the guest performers last night. Goodness gracious! His song and singing was blah and B...O...R...I...N...G...! No wonder he has not made any name for himself!! Do you think it is his choice of music? Probably!

I am always laughing when I see Steven Tyler. His facial expressions are priceless! Is he high because of Jennifer???? Sorry, Tyler, I cannot resist.....I am just kidding!!! Sorry Jennifer...You are just sooo sexy and pretty!!! I love watching Tyler especially when he really like the music!!! Then it seems he is on his own little world, with his eyes closed and savoring the music!!! Tyler....You are one of a kind!!!

Who am I rooting for??? The gorgeous Pia for the girls, and Stefano from the boy's group! I cannot wait next week!!! Have a great and blessed day, everyone!!!!

Price Increase!!!

I was going to just talk about price increase on food, but I saw that the increase is not only with food but everything else! I have been talking about this for quite sometime but seems that nobody really cares! Is it because people have more than enough finances or everybody is just tired and cannot do anything about it? Maybe both???

Have you noticed that your money is hard to stretch nowadays? I wonder why?? You wonder why?? No, I am just being sarcastic! Of course, money is very tight nowadays, because everything costs sooooooooo much!! Should we all start to grow our own vegetables? Or raise our own chickens and pigs?? Do they allow to raise livestock in the city? If not, maybe the city officials will allow it since it is expensive to buy meat! Ha! Ha! Ha! Come on...dream on....

Gasoline prices is now $3.55/gallon in Michigan. It is probably higher in California or other states. I do not know...all I know is it is too expensive to fill out the tank! What used to be only $15.00 for every fill up is now $30.00! Ay..ya...yay!!! So, I have been trying to combine all my trips so gasoline is not wasted! Should we all start riding a bicycle??? Oh, oh, I will be in trouble since I do not know how to ride a bike! It is hopeless for me! How about just building up a tricycle??? That is a thought!!! Sounds good, is it not???

Food prices are really high! Have you noticed how much food you can buy for $50.00? Not much nowadays. Meat and chicken has gone up so much over the last few months. You know what we can stock up with today??? Corned beef!! They are on sale since it is St. Patrick's Day! It is cheaper this week! Eggs are also on sale for $1.00 for large eggs at Kroger, so be sure to stock up on that too! I noticed though that the large eggs are the medium eggs of yesteryears!Retailers or manufacturers are cutting down on the size of the items to be able to still sell it low. Have you noticed that too for quite sometime now??? I also noticed that whenever something is on sale, like sugar for $2.69 a bag, people grab it and leave the shelves empty! How about chocolate chips for baking? People are grabbing the sale items and leaving the more expensive brand names on the shelves!

How about clothes? I am not really sure yet because I try not to buy any! But I am sure that it has gone up too since cotton prices have gone up! I think I am getting discouraged and sad on the state of our economy that I am stopping now.

Take care everyone!! Happy St. Patrick's Day!!! May God bless us all!!!

News...Here And There....

Okay, what is new? There are still lingering news about Japan. There are still 8,000 missing. My prayers go to the people of Japan for the devastation incurred and the loss of lives. It will never be the same for the Japanese people. Of course, they will be able to cope but it will take time, money and effort not only from the Japanese people but throughout the world! What does that mean for their economy? Their economy will of course suffer, and some other nations too! After all, Japan is a very powerful nation. Did you know that Japan is the second largest foreign holder of US government debt? It has about $882 billion in US Treasury Bonds! If they liquidate that $882 billion, which they might, considering they need money to rebuild....what do you guys think will happen??? The US economy will go down further! The cost of everything will skyrocket! The cost of everything is already skyhigh! They are saying that this is just the beginning! Oh my gosh! What we need are more prayers!!!! It makes me sad to even think of the future, so I think I will stop for now on this subject!

Just read the prediction that middle skill workers will be in high demand in the future! What does that mean? Middle skill workers are those with more than a High School diploma but less than a four year degree. Wow! Why is that? It is probably so that companies can pay them less and have more profit in their pockets to give bonuses and jets to their CEO'S and President's! Right?? So, now, they are saying that going to college is useless and will be a thing of the past? I do not know. Your guess is as good as mine!!!

How true is this what I read about a team of radical Islamics under the banner of Shariah 4 has plans to cover the Statue of Liberty with a burkha? Give me a break! That is truly crossing the line! Miss Liberty has been on the American shore for a long time and it is a part of the US history!! Don't these people have anything better to think and do?? What do you, American people think of this? Are we allowing this to happen???

May God bless us all!!!

Bachelor, 03142011

Bachelor Brad Womack finally picked a bachelorette! The most controversial bachelor of Season 11 did not dumped the last two ladies standing, Emily Maynard and Chantal O'Brien! This was so different from the first time he was a bachelor when he snubbed DeAnna Pappas and Jenni Croft. Did Womack changed? He should since he keeps saying he went to therapy! Sometimes he seems to have a stern face and when he says he is happy, I do not see a smile on his face! It seems that he has a hard time smiling. Have you all noticed that also?

These people are sooo lucky, they went around the world like Costa Rica, Africa etc... to film the episodes. The show must be racking a lot of dough to afford the lavish style and globe trotting! There must be a lot of suckers watching the show! You watch it too! Yes, I did watch it because I want to see the women acting crazy and silly vying for the affection of one man! I also wanted to see if Womack is a changed man! I am not sure yet!

The other 2 bachelorettes that were in the final four were Ashley, the dentist, and Shawntel, the funeral director. Brad would be sitting pretty if he have chosen Ashley because she is a dentist! Dentist makes a lot of money, and too bad, Brad missed his chance! Oh, well, they seem not to have too much chemistry and Ashley seems to be wishy washy! I just about died when Shawntel took Brad to a mausoleum and showed him how she does her work. That is too weird! I do not blame Brad for running away from her! Back to the last two bachelorettes.....

In Africa, Brad's relatives met the two ladies. The mother warmed up to Chantal right away since she is outgoing, fun and energetic. Emily, on the other hand was reserved, sweet and shy. After Emily told Brad's relatives how she lost her last love, Ricki Hendrick, a NASCAR driver, they all warmed up to her. Emily seems to be always thinking and uptight. What did Brad see in her? Her beauty and her sad life raising Ricki, her daughter, by herself! Brad felt being protective towards her and her daughter! But it seems that Emily is a very independent woman! Does she really need someone like Brad? Also, Emily must be earning a very good amount of money to be able to afford a house like that! Unless Hendrick was well off and she inherited a huge amount of money!

Chantal, on the other hand is very pretty but I think needs to lose some weight! Sorry Chantal, you are on the limelight so everything on you will be under scrutiny! I think she was really into Brad! Just think about her last date which was to swim with the sharks! If Chantal did not love him, she would not have done it! And Brad Womack.... you are insane and stupid for letting her go!! Don't you want to have fun and not be tied down???

It seems that Brad and Emily has had problems already. Brad, it seems, wants to get married. Emily, on the other hand, is not ready and have some doubts, insecurities and what have you about Brad. Then does that mean that Emily does not really love Brad??? On the other hand, I think Brad wants to get married so he can save face from last time...to tell the world that he has changed and is not a failure! What do you all think?

Well, whatever these two lovebirds decide, I am sure that the world is watching and wishing them the best of luck!!!!!

Life In General

What do you want to talk about life? I am not sure yet since it seems my brain is still asleep! Blame it on Daylight Savings Time...I lost one hour of precious sleep! Excuse me, what do you mean, you lost 1 hour of sleep? Sometimes you go from one day to the following afternoon with no sleep! That is different..I have company and I am having fun! Got it? Oh, excuse me, I forgot you are having fun! That makes a big difference!!! LOL.

Okay, I get it now. When you are a baby, you do not have any care in the world. You are playful and happy as long as you are full and your bum is clean! Ha! Ha! Ha! That is not a good thing to say about a baby! What do you want me to say? They are sooo adorable and cuddly that everyone wants to hold them?? No, just say they cannot take care of themselves so they really are very dependent on their parents!

When you are a teenager...this is the time when the struggle within oneself comes! The teenager wants to be embraced by the "in" group that they sometimes become blind to everybody and their surroundings! They are so gung ho to have the approval of their peers that they forget who really loves them! Is that right?? But not all teenagers are like that...some have a good sense of right and wrong! That is true, but sometimes they get challenged to do something stupid and when they realize it, it has been done and over with! All they get are regrets and a point of no return! I think this is the time that really shape a person's being. Most of the time, the kids listen to their peers rather than their parents! You are right, sad, but true!

Adulthood. This is the time that you try to make as much money as you can. Buy all the items that you see is necessary to be called successful and spend, spend, spend. After all, what is money for? To spend and be merry! Most people do not think about tomorrow! Is there not a song that goes like this? Tomorrow...tomorrow...it's only a day away...Tsk! Tsk! Tsk! Why do I even talk to you? You become crazy in the middle of a serious talk! I do not really know about you! Back to being serious... That is true, not everyone has a good sense to save for the future. Before they realize it, they have spent all their money and has gone bankrupt, almost bankrupt, or really struggling! So, my advice to the younger generation....Save! Save! Save! But how could they save if they do not have jobs? Pray, keep on looking and do not lose hope! There is something there that is waiting to be discovered by the young folks! Keep on persevering and hoping for good things to come! Have faith and everything will be alright! After all, life is like a circle...sometimes you are down...sometimes you are up! You cannot be down all the time...you have to be up eventually taking a little step at a time!

Golden Years. Lucky are those people that have saved all their life to really enjoy their golden years! They must have really sacrificed a lot to be able to save a bundle, and now they are reaping their rewards! How about the seniors that are not as lucky? They are really struggling! Some are resorting to a reverse mortgage so they do not have to pay their mortgage. Is reverse mortgage the answer? I do not know. I heard that you own your house as long as you live there. So what happen to the children or survivors? I really do not know! Some parents live with their children? Is that good or bad? It probably has its ups and downs. Personally, I think it will be hard especially if your children are married! I once heard someone remarked that she wished she has her own house! But seniors cannot live by themselves forever! Sad, but I have heard some live by themselves and they are 80 years old! Wow! That is incredible! I applaud this seniors. After all, it is independent living!!!

A Little Bit Of News

March 13, 2011...start of Daylight Savings Time!!! Did you all changed your time? Remember.. Spring Forward!!! Yes, you got it right, baby, we lost 1 hour of sleep today!!! Feel tired?? Do not worry we will gain that 1 hour back in the Fall! I know! I know! It is a long time from now. Well, kiddo, you cannot do anything...so deal with it and stop whining!!!

I feel sooo bad about the 8.9 earthquake/tsunami that devastated Japan the other day. The death toll is reaching 10,000. Hopefully the aftershocks are done and the nuclear plants will be alright! Let us all pray for the Japanese people!

Have you seen the latest kitchen gadgets? My! My! My! To start with...A Toast Stamper!! Goodness gracious!! Would you spend $6.99 for a plastic stamper to stamp some designs on your toast?? Maybe if you have small children to make them eat toast? How about adults? Are you willing to part with your money for a stupid thing like a toast stamper???

Next item, please...A Chef Basket worth $14.99. It starts off flat and expands into a flexible basket that lets you cook, boil or deep fry. You invert it and presto! A steamer is born! It is a neat idea, but who needs another kitchen gadget??

How about a Wowbacon Microwave Bacon Cooker for $23.95? It cooks the bacon in a two compartment container, looks like a pitcher from the picture, the fat draining on the outer compartment. Maybe this one will be good since it will not have the fat splattering all over the microwave and thus paper towels are saved! But isn't that kind of expensive? Well, you are not using paper towels, so is that not savings???

Then there is the Yumbots Robot Cupcake Molds from $19.30. Can you imagine eating robot shaped cupcakes? This will be a fun way to serve cupcakes for birthday parties! Available in red, blue, green and yellow! Are we all running now to get these molds? Heck, no! Not me..I do not need any more extra gadgets on my cupboard!

How about a Pig Cooking Lid that is placed directly on the pot? Steam is released through the pig's snout! Oink! Oink! Sorry, I forgot how much it is since I am not interested.

There are soo many more gadgets but I think I will stop for now! I am not buying anymore kitchen gadgets to use just once and let dust accumulate in it! Thank you very much, but I will hold on to my dollars even though the value has gone down big time!

Lte us take a look at the Extra Virgin Oil. Wowie! It is really outrageously high! A few years ago, I can get a big bottle for $5.00! Now? It is about $10.00!!! Oh, well, I think I have to keep on looking for a sale! Good luck to me finding one!

Talking about extra virgin oil, did you know that there is one with garlic in it? Ummm!!! This will be good for salads. The best part of that is... it is MADE IN THE USA! The name of the company? Sutter Buttes California!! I feel like a spokesperson for this company (lol), but I am trying to buy products only made in America! I hope and pray for our economy that all Americans do the same! Or are we too late? Better late than never! Wow!! That is what I like...a fighting spirit!!! So, come on everybody.....let us pray, buy US made products and keep on trying to help and save America from its spiral downwards!

Have I blabbered enough already? You bet! Okay, I will stop now. Let us all pray for all the people in the world! Let there be world peace!! May God bless everyone and their families reading this blog!

Price Fluctuations!!!

We have all seen how the unrest in the Middle East is making chaos to us here in the United States. Everything is outrageously high! And this is just the beginning...so they say. I could not imagine how much more the cost for everything will be!

Gas. It is now averaging $3.55 /gal in Michigan. Because of the high price of gasoline I am always in the lookout for a cheaper price. If you have a Kroger card, the price per gallon is only $3.45 at participating Shell stations! But before you go running to Kroger, make sure you know your prices! There are some items that are high and some items that are reasonable...that is why most of the time I just buy sale items!

Food. Today, at Kroger, a 1 gallon of Canola oil is on sale for less than $8.00! Is it time to stock up on oil?? You bet! Vegetable oil is more than $8.00! Corned beef is also on sale because of the coming St. Patrick's Day! I bought one package, cooked it and it is good! I am thinking of going back to freeze! Other food prices are really high.

Housing - Did you know that the value of houses even went down? And to top it all, the property tax went down very little! Why is that? Who knows? Almost all states and cities are going bankrupt so they have to really think of how they can get more money or keep their money!

So, what are we as citizens do? Learn to conserve everything? Tighten our belts? All of the above! And they said, this is just the beginning of these skyrocketing prices for everything! We have to hold on for the choppy road ahead!!!

Things That Happened And Is Happening!!!

It is already March! Spring is here! Hip! Hip! Hooray! Not sooo fast, kiddo! We just had freezing rain last night and prediction of snow for Sunday! Yikes!!! Will winter ever end??? I thought we will have an early winter because the ground hog did not cast a shadow! Do you believe in that nonsense?? Not really!! Oh, well....mother nature is teaching us how to be patient! Patience is a virtue....is it not???

Did you know that March 4 is pound cake day? I never knew about that until today! Why was this made into a day? To probably help the bakers and the stores so they can sell pound cake!!!! Commercialism is the name of the game!! Whatever, it is sooo good, I do not really care! So, guys and gals, go out and buy some pound cake and add some more inches to your waistline!!! Who am I kidding??? I will probably go and get some pound cake! I wonder which one is the best? I have not had one for a long time! Just make it! It will probably be better! But it also take time! Just make up your mind whether you are going to make it or buy!

I did not know that TSA do pat downs now on people getting off from Amtrak train. It happened last month in Savannah, Georgia. It was also an intrusive pat down on kids and adults!! Goodness, gracious why do the government allow TSA to keep on molesting kids and adults with their pat downs??? Pretty soon, it might be in the grocery stores, the banks, the malls etc?? Then, we, the citizens will get used to it that we would not mind it anymore! These people are playing with our minds!!! They are gradually getting us to be a yes man so their hidden agenda will be embraced wholeheartedly by all! Am I right? Comments, anyone???

Did you all know that a Net Neutrality Act was passed on December 21, 2010 by FCC? What is this about? It gives the government the ability to regulate the internet and any interstate communication they choose without warnings! Ay...ya...yay....Isn't this what happened to the other dictatorship countries before it crumbled?? There goes our freedom of speech! It seems our government is losing it! They want complete control of everything and are they winning?? Only if the American people do not wake up!

State cuts! With the state cuts, the governor is trying to get the people's money...the children, the poor, and the seniors! This has really become crazy! Some government officials of one state are Awols! They did not want to vote so they fled to another state! Is that a smart move or a bad ass move on their part? I am sure that there will be more states that will follow because of what the new governors are planning which is completely ridiculous, crazy and outrageous!

Did you know that there are a few states that does not have income tax? They are Florida, Texas, Nevada and Alaska! Alaska, I heard even gives money to people every month for staying! Can you imagine living in Alaska??? They can have it...it is tooo cold! Brrrr!!!!!

Made In America

Where are all the products made in America? Are there even any products made in America? Are American made products a thing of the past? Who is to be blamed for this? The government? The consumers? Or both?

Have you noticed that when you go to the deep discount places that most items, if not all, is made in China? The stores at the mall is no exception! Almost all is either made in China, Bangladesh, Mexico, or India, just to name a few countries. Why is that? Their wages are very low...lower than the wages in the United States! The products made overseas is dirt cheap, that is why American consumers buy it!

When I am in the store, be it in a discount store or a well known store at the mall, I make it a point to discourage people to buy anything made in China! Why? Why?? That is a stupid question!! First of all, look at the American economy as compared to China or other places! Our economy is something to be desired! We still have many, many, many unemployed people! Do not listen to what the government is saying about the unemployment! They are trying to make it good for them! Just see for yourself, unemployment is not what the government says! Did you know that there are many, many, many people in food stamps also? 14%! One out of 7 people has food stamps! Is that what we want for our beloved country? A country with no jobs and a bleak tomorrow?

So, what are we as citizens, have to do? I thought that someone have to start making clothes here. I would, but I do not have finances that will allow me to do it! Do I get a financier for this endeavor? Any takers??? Someone told me that it is impossible to make clothes here in America since labor is very high! That is true, but if we really want our country to survive, someone should take the initiative to do it! The clothes from other countries are not that cheap either! Panties for women at the mall is outrageously high! The pretty ones are averaging $6.00/piece or 5 for $24.00! I think that is kind of high! What do you think? In the deep discount places there are panties for $1.00/piece, but can you use it? Of course not! I bought one, and it does not stay on my waist! That is a waste of a dollar! Return it then? So that you can waste the precious gas? I will just trow it away and not buy anyat the deep discount store! I learned my lesson! Am I right? Of course, I am!

So, all Americans should boycott any products made in China or other countries! Let us just buy products made and manufactured in the USA!!! We, as citizens need to band together so the United States will once more be a great nation!!!!! Need I say more???

American Idol, 02242011

The American Idol finally completed its most intense and grueling search for the top 12 girls and top 12 boys to compete for the coveted American Idol title! This year seems to have more talented boys and girls that competed, and the age group was even lowered to 15! Wow! Is that not too young for someone to compete in such a show? Can these youngsters cope with the pressure to be in the limelight and the constant pushing of everyone? No, I do not think so! The American Idol folks and parents of wannabe singers should leave the 15 year olds to play and be children! Even though kids grow fast in today's society, I think these youngsters should be left alone to mature! True, they will be earning big bucks, but is that what will make the kids happy? It will make the parents happy because their kids will be on top of the world, and so do the parents! And what will that take the kids into? Drugs, and more drugs since they will have unlimited access to money! Look at some of the young actors and actresses that have been in and out of rehabs and jail! They are definitely out of control, and a nuisance to society! Am I right? Of course, I am right!

Let us talk about the judges. Randy, "The Dawg" Jackson....You should see his facial expression when someone is singing. It is priceless! And it seems that Randy is trying to fill Simon's shoes! I do not think that The Dawg can fill Simon's obnoxious character! The Dawg is nicer and more mellow! Why was he not let go by the producers? Did they want someone that knows what the show is all about? Maybe, maybe not! I wonder if he ever got more money for staying? I also wonder if he is making more than the two new judges? Hmmm....Will we ever know?

Let us go now to Jennifer Lopez. It seems that she has a very sensitive side that people are seeing now. She even cried when one contestant that is a caregiver to his girlfriend was eliminated! She said that she wanted him to go through but Randy and Steven Tyler vetoed her! JLo even wanted to quit, but she was persuaded by the other two judges to get her bearings back! Wow! What a drama! What an act! These people can really make a dramatic thing. After all, thay are actors! Drama is a good thing to viewers, the show can get the sympathy of viewers. More drama and acting, more viewers, ratings go up! When ratings go up, more money! Right??

How about Steven Tyler? Just looking at him makes me laugh! His facial expressions are something else! And when he sees a beautiful contestant, he is all attentive especially if she can render the song to perfection! And he always close his eyes and seems to be savoring the song when the song is beautifully sang! Is that a sign of a good artist and musician? I do not know...you guys tell me! But I did not realize that he is a foul mouth person! On the other hand, why should I be surprised? After all, he is a rocker! And rockers are famous for foul language, sex, booze and women, is it not? Anyway, he seems to be fun to watch with all his different facial expressions! I find him amusing and entertaining, with or without a bad mouth!

This season will be interesting with a new set of judges and a whole lot of talented singers! Who says American Idol cannot function without Simon Cowell? Simon Cowell, American Idol is still alive....Nenenenenene!!!!!!! Good riddance to you, the American Idol Jerk!!!!
