New Year's Eve

Today is the last day of 2010. At 12 midnight, we are going to ring in the New Year..2011! What is in store for us all? Hopefully just good things! Here's hoping that if 2010 was a crappy year, that 2011 will be a better year; if 2010 was a good year, 2011 will be better!

We should all be thankful for all the blessings that God has given to us, and continues to shower us. Hopefully, 2011 will be a miracle year for everyone....economy will be better, those who were unemployed will find something, the homeless will get help and will cease to be on the streets, the housing problem will be better - no more foreclosure, the health system will be better for everyone. Too good to be true? Perhaps. But do you believe in miracles? Miracles do happen, and if there are more people that will pray, maybe God will give His mercy and make it better!

Whether your plans are to have a party, go to a party, drink champagne, sleep, eat or watch the ball fall to ring in the New Year in Times Square, we should not forget to say a littlle prayer for the whole world that there will be peace.

HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ALL!!!!! May God bless all of us!!!!

A New Year!

A New Year is fast approaching! Woo...hooo...another year will soon bite the dust!!! Have any of you decided on your New Year's resolution...only to be broken???? How many really followed to a T their New Year's resolution??? I see!! What do you see??? Hmmmm....I do not see many hands that are up in the air! Don't we have any determination to follow through and conquer our resolutions??? Are we a bunch of wusps and losers that we cannot even stick to what we have promised to do for the New Year??? Whoa!!! Hold on, that is such a strong word!!! Damn right it is!!! Isn't that the truth?? Are we not guilty?? Come on..tell the truth!!! You got that right!!!

How many have promised not to smoke year after year??? That is different! No, it is not! A resolution is a resolution!!! Not if you did not have that as a resolution! Excuse me....no comment from the peanut gallery please!! Oooopppssss!!!!!

How about those that promised to eat healthy?? That is one resolution that a lot of people are guilty of! For one thing..there are sooo many temptations out there...fast foods, aisle after aisle of junk food in the stores! One other thing, the junk food is sooo yummy!!! Why do the unhealthy food taste better??? What is their secret ingredient??? More fat!!! Is that it??? Comments, anyone??? If you buy the food with less calories...notice how outrageous the sugar content is! If it is not the salt content, it is the sugar content! Ay..ya..yay!!! No wonder there are sooo many obese and sick people out there!!

How about to exercise regularly?? It is easier said than done. It is nice to have a buddy system to go to a fitness center. Why bother going to a fitness center??? Just walk at the mall! Problem with that??? There are soo many temptations at the stores with big letters blazing on the windows," SALE." What do you do? Check inside to see the sale! Pretty soon you forget your main goal at the mall! See...were a bunch of woosies that easily succumb to temptations!!! What can I say??

How about just exercising in the comfort of your home?? You buy an exercise bike or a treadmill. You are gung ho in using it for a couple of months...then your interest dwindles down until the machines just gather dust and forgotten! See...we do not have incentives to continue what we have started! Who is to blame?? None other than yourself!!! Guilty as charged!!! We can't win, can we???

Well, whatever is your New Year's resolution..hopefully it is a good one that you can follow through and stick to...no matter what!!!

Have a great day! May God bless us all!!!

2010 Memories

Three more days before 2010 comes to a close! Soon all memories of 2010 will be gone, replaced by 2011. Did you capture all the things that have happened in 2010 with your camera, cell phone, or was it sketched vividly on your mind that nothing can erase?

Was it a new baby, a new house, a new job, a new cat or was it a sorry 2010 that was full of struggles financially and emotionally? Perhaps, it was a vacation of a lifetime to some exotic place, a long drive, or a short drive just to be away from all the stress of daily life??? What ever it is, we are just hoping and praying that 2011 will be a much better year for all of us! Notice that I used "much better." That's just it! I hope that everyone will get a a much better 2011 that 2010!

Hopefully, the economy will really turn around...the problems with unemployment, housing, and homelessness will come to an end. Hopefully, the government will work together for a common goal... to govern the US citizens better with no regard to any selfish agenda! After all, The United States government was for the people, for the people, and by the people! Amen, I say to that! That the government will give more dignity and compensation to the senior citizens! After all the people owe it to the seniors who painstakingly worked sooo hard over the years and cared for the emerging citizens of our dear country! They were the pillars of the society at one point and time, don't anybody forget it! Lastly, I hope and pray that the health care dilemma will be solved.... that it will be a better health care for everyone..both the patients and the doctor without any ulterior motives from the government, i.e. end of life for seniors, abortion, etc....

Wouldn't that be also nice if there was a true peace on earth?? Now! Now! You are asking for a miracle! Nations will go against nations to be the world power! Well, do you believe in miracles?? Miracles do happen, isn't it?? They sure do! I rest my case!!

Have a good day, everyone!! May God bless us all!!!

Christmas Day, 2010

It is Christmas!! The child Jesus is born!! Alleluia!!! Hip! Hip! Hooray! Christmas is one joyful, and blessed event for many people. I really like Christmas...the hustle, the bustle, the Christmas trees, the Christmas decorations and the preparation that comes with it! What I do not like with it is the temptation to overeat! I should tape my mouth 2 days before up to New Year! Ha! Ha! Ha! Wouldn't that be hilarious??? You are insane...100%!

We attended the midnight mass. The church was full, and the church choir treated us with Christmas songs for 40 minutes before the mass. Hubby, a tenor, sang O Holy Night...it was fantastic! The church was beautifully decorated with 3 Christmas trees and a ton of Poinsettia and other Christmas plants! Came home at almost 2 in the morning! Ate, talk and opened presents! Of course, Christmas would not be complete without pictures!!! One present I really liked...my book covers framed! Thank you guys!!! Now, if only I can find a suitable place to hang it! That is really fantastic!!! One of my achievements framed!!!! Wow!!!

Wow! Only had 5 hours of sleep! Do not feel tired though. Not yet, for the time being. Already had phone calls...our turn to make several phone calls! That is the beauty of phones...can call and reach out to relatives and friends!

Is that all you can say...Wow??? That is the second wow you said! And it is back to back!!! Please do not challenge me today... it is Christmas!!! I will just smile and keep on going...just like the energizer bunny! Great!!!

Have to go now...enjoy the magnificent day! Merry Christmas to all!!! May God bless all of us!!!

Christmas Eve, 2010

Wow! Christmas Eve! Is your home bustling with activity?? Cooking, baking, wrapping of Christmas present, etc..etc...Can you smell the wonderful Christmas spirit?? Are you ready to celebrate the birth of our Lord???

Happy are those people that have the whole family with them on this joyful and festive occasion! Long lines on the airport, a long drive, hustle and bustle of the Christmas Season did not hamper them to be with their love ones this Christmas! As we hug and kiss our loved ones, let us not forget to pray for the people that might be alone on this blessed day!

Happy are those people that have food on their tables and be merry with family and friends. As we party, let us not forget the least of our brothers and sisters that does not have anything.

Happy are those that have a roof over their heads. As we gather together, let us pray for the people that might be wandering on the cold, silent night of the streets!

We should all be thankful for all the blessings that God has given us. May God bless all of us! May there be peace on earth!

Christmas 2010

We all love Christmas! The highly anticipated holiday is upon us...the celebration of the birth of Jesus Christ! Alleluia!!! It is a very festive and joyful occasion where families and friends meet and have parties! What is different with this Christmas and the years gone by?

For starters, even though the economy is something to be desired, people are still spending as seen at the ringing of registers at the malls and any other stores! Unemployment is still high, but Christamas does not deter them to spend a little! After all, Christmas comes just once a year!

When a person is really young, the anticipation of Christmass is huge because of the toys that the child can play with! That is tight, I like going to my godparents and getting toys, not money! Teenage years...no more toys...gadgets, money, car! Yes, it is money time...to go shopping with friends..endless hours at the mall! Adulthood....good job, homes, nice car etc....Work! Work! Work! You are extremely blessed and lucky if you have someone to care for your children while at work! Retirees....to live healthy, be able to walk, sleep, go out and enjoy life with no holds barred! Can wake up any time you want, no time clock, no one to tell you what to do! You can do whatever you want any time, anyplace! Which category are you????

How about the family gatherings? Those were the precious years..endless talk, singing, pictures, drama, skits! Those were the really happy, fun days! As everyone grow older...families disintegrate... some goes to other places in search of their future. It is harder now to get together again because of family and economic restraints. What is one to do? Make the most of it! After all, it is Christmas!

Time to make preparations and the last minute shopping! Come on, guys..while it is nice, bright and early!!!!

Tuesday Rambling

Why do you have Tuesday rambling for today? No particular reason. Why? Do you have a problem with that? Tsk! Tsk! Tsk! Can I not ask you a question? Nope! You are only allowed 1 question a day, and you used it up already! Why didn't you tell me at the beginning? See? That is another question! You have to wait until tomorrow to ask another question! Yikes! You are something else! What? A very nice, lovely person? A nice person, my butt!! Thank you! Ha! Ha! Ha! Do you feel better now that you have unleash your pent up emotions? Why, yes! Thanks to me!!! Back to our ramblings and rantings....

Did anybody see early this morning the total lunar eclipse? This is a rare one since it fell on winter solstice! I woke up at 1 am and looked out the window. It was soo bright but did not see the moon. The moon must have been all the way up on top of the roof . Did you feel that yesterday was the shortest day of the year? Not really. The next lunar eclipse will be on 12212094. Wooo...hooo....Where will we be? Who cares? That is 84 years away!!!!

Has everyone seen the Sistine Chapel in Rome? It is one of the main tourist attraction in Rome where everyone goes to see! Did you know that a Frenchman, Jean Massa, made a tiny replica of it in Nice, France? It is one thirtieth the size in Vatican, and this guy spent 5,000 hours over 4 years to complete? He must really be a patient man to do a huge task! What do you think he got out of it? Prestige and satisfaction that he was able to duplicate such a place!

What is going on with the weather? There was a huge snowstorm in North America that cause major delay of motorists. Now the snowstorm is in Europe! California is also being inundated by heavy rains and high winds since last Friday! Let us all pray for the whole world!

An explosive device was found Tuesday in a grocery bag under the seat of a subway car in Rebibbia, Rome! Was sooo thankful it was found and no one was hurt! There are many people in Rome who use the subway! I know...we used it for a week when we went to Rome last year!

Did you know that there are 2 shortest people on earth? Ome of them is Jyoti Amge, 17, from India who is only 2 feet tall and the other one is 17 year old Khagendra Thapa from Nepal. He is only 22 inches tall! They look so cute and adorable!

Let us go to the latest inventions. Pillow tie. It is a tie that contains an inflatable pillow. Now you can sleep at your desk! Holly Molly! Wow! You can take that anywhere you go...you will have a pillow all the time! How neat! How about a Haptic wallet? It has 3 designs: Bumblebee- that buzzes everytime a deposit or withdrawal is made! Wouldn't this be annoying? Mother Bear - acts like a bear trap that you have to pry open when your funds get low! Wouldn't this be nice to bring to the casino so you cannot get more money?? How about if you are on a line and want to pay, cannot open the wallet?? Ay..ya..yay!!! That will be very embarrassing! Peacock - swells according to your balance! Oooppss..wouldn't that be hard on the back pockets or the purses? No worry about this one, mine will always be slim! Ha! Ha! Ha! How about a biometric wallet? It only opens with your fingerprint! Suppose your thumb is cut off..then what? And yuck, now the thieves have to cut your finger to get your wallet! Yikes!!!

Did you have fun with ny ramblings? Did you learn something new? Of course, you did! Well, have to go now... until the next rambling....

Survivor - Nicaragua, 12192010

What about that?? A new survivor was crowned last night in LA, in front of family, friends and fans of the survivors. As usual, there were survivors that were voted off that held grudges against the 3 finalists! How did I know that? By the look in their faces!

Take for instance, Dan Lembo, who proclaimed to the other survivors that he is rich!! He claims he owns many cars, and 20 more alligator shoes that cost at least $600! He revealed that to Holly Hoffman when she threw Dan's shoes in the water! As a peace offering last night, Holly gave Dan a cowboy boots as a replacement for his alligator shoes!!! Whoopie!!! Do you think Dan will wear that cheap shoes when he has other expensive shoes??? It will probably gather some dust in his basement! Come to think of it, why did he ever join the survivor if he is filthy rich? He can't even do anything in the camp because of his bad knees!! He was useless in all of the challenges...he was getting a free ride towards the end with Fabio and others since they do not see him as a threat! He was finally taken out by the reamaining 4, Holly Hoffman, Chase Rice, Nash and Fabio! The next one to go was Holly, the only woman standing! Boo...hooo... for Holly! She really fought to stay until the end, but the guys stuck together!

Jud "Fabio" Birza won the last 3 challenges at the end! Bravo! Fabio!! He did not win any challenges before...so I thought he was either dumb or a very weak contender! He can be given a good acting award! I guess he did not win any challenges and remained nonchalant at the beginning to keep people off his back! A very good strategic move on his part!

Wow! Every body seems to be upset with Matthew " Sash" Lenahan. I can see why..he tried to control and manipulate everyone! He did not get even a single vote! Chase was also the target of a few people because of his voting off Brenda, his ally and his crush! But he exonerated himself when he explained why!

The votes were very close: Chase 4, Fabio 5! Throughout all the grueling quetions of the 3 finalists by the jury, Fabio has been laughing and smiling! Is that his usual thing or is that a nervous laugh?? He seems so endearing with his laughing and smile while Chase and Sash were too stiff and very serious! Congratulations, Fabio...the youngest to win the Survivor title! Only 21 years old! I guess that really proves that young can beat the old timers when it comes to physical and mental challenges!!! Any comments???

Is this Jeff Probst last Survivor episode? Who knows and who cares? Because Of NaOnka Mixon and Kelly Shinn's quitting the show, there will be a new twist on the coming survivor episode in February! Is everyone ready to watch it????

Undercover Boss - Johnny Rockets, 12122010

John Fuller, President and CEO of Johnny Rockets is the featured bigwig on this episode. I do not know why I still watch the show because it is the old storyline....boss goes undercover, then gets a sob story of workers that trained him, reveal to the trainers his true identity and voila! each one of the trainers get a reward. Rewards range from scholarships, promotion, vacation etc...etc...Probably I watch it because I learn some things about the companies! That's it! That is the force that pulls me to watch it! Wow!! It is a force? Ha! Ha! Ha! Oh well, that is the only word I can think of now! So, stop it! In other words, hush and keep quiet!

First of all, I did not know that there is a franchise by the name of Johnny Rockets! It is in 15 different countries, cruise ships, airports, casinos...300 locations in 32 states! Wow! That is a lot! How come I have not heard about it? Someone pointed to me that there is one in the mall, 45 minutes away from us! I learn something new every day!

Fuller's first task was with Ajay in NY's upper east side as a line cook. Did he do good with his burger? Of course not! After Ajay tasted it, it went straight to the garbage can since it was undercooked! Oh! Oh! One point for Ajay! Ajay is a rapper musician that got a lucky break when Fuller sent him to attend the American Music Awards Red Carpet style. He is now talking to record producers! He is one lucky guy! Fuller is also going to put on trial basis on their menu, Ajay's new concoction of cheese, fries and mushrooms!

At the Mohegan casino in Uncansville, Connecticut, Fuller's task was to serve customers. It is the busiest restaurant in the franchise and one of the few that serves breakfast. The servers also do a routine dance in the restaurant! You should see Fuller dance...no dancing skills whatsoever!!! Yuck!!!! And you think you do? Ha! Ha! Ha! When we went there a few years back,I did not see the Johnny Rockets. Hmmmm....do you know why? It was because all you saw was the casino! Ooopppssss!!! It was also a huge place! Back to my blog... Janice, the server was a fireball! Very enthusiastic! Fuller is sooo lucky to have her! If I have a business I would have hired her also! She did her own dance choreography because she did not like the company's dance routine! What did she get out of helping the boss? An all expense paid to Grand Canyon where her late father wanted to take the whole family! He is also paying her extra to choreograph new dances for the company and started a scholarship fund for her 4 kids!

Next stop was a sports bar with Claudia, the bartender. His cover was almost blown when the owner's in laws ran into him in the bar! This place is slow..Claudia had to pass out flyers outside to get customers!! What did Claudia get for her efforts? A year of her rent paid by the company, so she would stay!

Atlantic City was the last stop, with Tony, a food runner who served 3 years in prison for assaulting the guy who allegedly killed her daughter. Tony also lived underneath the boardwalk for 3 months before landing a job at Johnny Rockets! That is good that Johnny Rockets gave this guy a chance to change his life! That is really great! What did Tony get from Fuller? $5,000 to keep a roof over his head! He also donated $5,000 to a children's charity in the name of Tony's daughter! He also received an all expenses paid trip for him and his children to an amusement park of his choice! Good for Tony!

Well, like I said before, it is nice and dandy for the few that the CEO have come in contact with! But how about the other employees that probably work as hard as the few chosen ones! What did they get??? And how were the few chosen to interact with the big honcho? Do they have to interview all employees and get the juiciest story to tell?? Did the employees know who they were going to deal with?? What does the other employees think of all this? Have not heard any employees that were interviewed that was not a part of the segment! Comments, anyone?

Amazing Race, 12122010

The first all female team conquered the latest Amazing Race! This team was really a good team, even though one of them is diabetic and has a fear of heights! Who were the winners? You have to hold your horses a little bit! I do not have a horse! Ha! Ha! You are a nincompoop! You have to have patience, silly!!!

The final leg took the three teams: Jill /Thomas, Nat/Kat and Claire/Brook to travel from Korea to Los Angeles. All teams ended up in the same plane for LA. The first task was bungee jumping from huge cranes at Long Beach Port. Yippeeee!!! That seems fun! But really scary! I do not think it is my cup of tea! Even for the tune of a million dollars! You are just saying that...but I think when you are there the adrenaline rush will keep you doing anything they ask you to! Oh, ya? What do you guys think? Back to bungee jumping....once they accomplish this feat, they can get the next clue!

The next clue send the teams to Pasadena, home of the Rose Bowl. I have never been to the Rose Bowl. Seems like fun, except now they do not use all roses for the floats! Where have you been? They discontinued the practice a longtime ago! Comments, anyone?? The clue sends each team to decorate a float for the Rose Bowl parade. Isn't that too early for the flower decoration for the floats? It is still 3 more weeks to go before the parade! Really! Did you see how hard and meticulous it was to place each of those little bitty flowers on the big floats?? It will take a lot of manpower and hours to decorate a float! I can see that! Once it is successfully accomplish, they can get the next clue!

The clue after this task was some kind of a riddle. to get them to the next destination..... Sancho Panza's master. You will need a computer to get the answer! Nat and Kat's taxi driver was really nice and lent them his phone to call someone. Claire and Brook stopped at a hotel to use a computer, but Jill and Thomas did not have any luck with their taxi driver nor did they stopped at a cafe or hotel...they ended up driving in circles!!! Yikes!!! What were they thinking??? They must have had a brain fart that day! Ha! Ha! Ha!

The final task took them to Don Quixote Stage where they were greeed by Bob Eubanks. Each team had to pick out in order the welcome mat greeters from the flashing game board. Thge first one to arrive were Nat Strand, 31, and Kat Chang, 35. This task need s a very sharp memory. I thought the doctors will breeze though this, but I was wrong! It was Brook Roberts, 27, and Claire Champlin, 30,home shopping hosts that went through this fast! One thing with this duo, they were always giggling and laughing! Lat one to arrive was Jill Haney, 27, and Thomas Wolfard, 30, dating couple!

Who won? None other that the doctor team, Nat and Kat , who was greeted by Phil Keoghan and the rest of the teams!! Congratulations, Nat and kat! Not only did they win a million dollars and 2 or 3 other prizes , but the distinction of the first all woman team to win!!! Hip! Hip! Hooray!!!

Apprentice 12092010

There is a new apprentice in Donald Trump's boardroom! She is none other than Brandy Kuentzel, an attorney. She was head to head with a fellow attorney, Clint Robertson!

What was their final task before The Donald made the decision? The plan was a large scale event at Trump National Golf Course in Westchester, New York. Brandy managed a golf tournament with Kathy Griffin for entertainment and Clint planned a gala headed by Liza Minelli! As usual, there were also extensive interviews of the 2 candidates!

If I were also Donald Trump, I would have picked Brandy! First of all, look at her... she is young, beautiful, well educated and has good charisma and body! Oh! Oh! You are bias! Well, she is a prize possession ...hmmm...I mean she will be nice to deal with by Donald's clients! On the other hand, I do not have anything against Clint..but he is not as sexy and good looking as Brandy! Need I tell more?? Okay we get it! Tsk! Tsk! Tsk! You are all in the outward looks! Not good! Does that mean to say that the ugly ones does not have a place in the boardroom? Well, there is always an exception for everything is it not? But, maybe if we go to Donald Trump's boardroom all we will see are gorgeous people! I hope I am wrong! Any comments???

I think I have lost interest in watching the apprentice. Maybe it has lost its glamour and people was not as feisty and competitive as before? Plus it is now on TV later... at 10 pm! By that time one is winding up to either catch up with e-mail or go to sleep! It seems they have lost their ratings! What do you think?

Sunday Yammering

Ha! Does anyone know what yammering is? Today is Sunday, and I a have a "snowlaztitis syndrome." Is there such a word? Tough! There is one now! Snow + laziness = snowlaztitis! Wow!!! Only you can create weird words! But there is a good ring to it! Ha! Ha! Ha! Am I ingenious or what? Never mind, do not answer! Can we make a song with that? Absolutely not!

Why do you have snowlaztitis? Well, look outside...snowfall has been going on since early this morning! It has not stopped, and they are predicting 7 inches by tomorrow morning! It is very cold! I was going to watch a church concert but the snowlaztitis got me instead to blog! I really would just like to curl up in bed and watch something on television, but some channels are not working! Oh, well..so here I am... working on my fingers!!! Lucky you guys! Ha! Ha! Ha!

Okay, let us go back to what yammering is. Can anyone take a wild guess? No? Aw, come on, boys and girls!!! When I tell you what it is, you will all say..." I thought so!" Okay, sound the drums please..... yammering is just another word to chattering, gossiping, muttering, prattling, ranting, spouting, tattling, flipper lip-ping, jawing, orating, conversing, babbling, blabbing, chatting, communicating, screaming, yelling, yakking, jabbering, rambling or talking!! There you go! Do not tell me that I never gave you words in case you need one for the crossword puzzle!!! He! He! He! That is a lot of words for just mere talking! I learn something new everyday!!! Isn't that the truth???

Well, what else are you going to ramble about? Sounds like you are going to introduce someone on a boxing bout! Ha! Ha! Ha! You are insane! The word ramble has the same sound as rumble but different spelling! Wow! That means you are awake and really paying attention to me!!! Wonders never cease!!! Enough...go on with your yakking!!! Yes, mam!!!

Christmas shopping. I cannot believe I was at the mall again yesterday. Had to buy undies and was sooo surprised at how much they were! I take it you have not bought any undies for the last 10 years!! Ha! Ha! Ha! I bought some..2 years ago, in Rome and they were not outrageously high! But I only liked one that I bought there! Seems like if you are looking for something reasonable, go to a cheaper store! Not the mall! That is right.. they were cheaper in the other discount stores! Did you return it at the mall? No. Why?? The lines are long and do not want to go back and forth!

I also wanted to get a bigger purse so I can carry my new released book, "My Journey With Breast Cancer." So, what happened? Goodness gracious!! Cannot find any that is made in good ole USA. I settled for a Liz Claiborne, only because I got a good deal with my $15.00 coupon! Now, I can bring my book everywhere! Hip! Hip! Hooray!

How about boots? Ay..ya...yay....The boots in the upper ritzy stores are really, really expensive...$300 and up! And just to wear it and get it dirtied??? Nope!! You are el cheapo! I do not care!!!

I have babbled too much, I am going to stop now. Why? We are having fun with your blog, why stop now? Because I do not feel ranting anymore! Do you have a problem with that? Yikes! Tsk! Tsk! Tsk! Testy! Testy! Testy! Okay thanks for giving us another interesting blog!

Have a nice week! Stay safe and keep smiling!

Survivor Nicaragua, 12082010

Another survivor was blindsided and is the 6th member of the jury! Wow! Whoever is the manipulator in this game is good! Who is it? Who was sent home packing? Why is Jeff seems upset with NaOnka and Purple Kelly quitting?

The show started with the reward challenge which was a yucky game. The survivors went through mud, retrieved a key and toss rings and bags. Chase won ! Who did he take to go with him to have the shower and other amenities? Holly and Jane! When he chose Jane, I went, "Oh oh." Chase promised if he win a reward challenge that Sash will be going with him! It was indeed a stupid move to bring Jane instead of Sash, which Chase admitted to Holly! Chase seems to be a wishy washy person! No, he is just trying to be nice to the older ladies who are in his alliance! Was Sash able to forgive him?

There are definitely 3 alliances: 1 - Jud" Fabio"Birza, Ben" Benry" Henry, and Dan Lembo. 2 - Chase Rice, Holly Hoffman, and Jane Bright. 3 - Sash, all by himself! He voted off his alliance Brenda, and NaOnka quit! But it seems that even though Sash does not have an alliance, he controls every one of the survivors! Why are they letting him call the moves? Probably because they know that he has the immunity idol! Dan said that Sash cannot be trusted but still follow him! Why is Dan still in the game? He does not win anything and seems useless! Watch that he will be in the final 3 and win the million dollars just keeping quiet and a yes man to all!

While Chase and company were enjoying their reward challenge, Benry and Fabio decided to eat the chicken! Whoa! When Jane returned and found out that the chicken is gone, she was beside herself! Oh my gosh! Jane did a memorial for the chicken complete with a cross! What the heck?? Is Jane a vegetarian? Comments? Is she losing it? I can understand because she has been in the jungle for many, many days now!! Wow! She must be really bored too...to have a memorial for a chicken!!! Isn't that amazing???

Who did you think won the immunity challenge? Sash who is very comfortable with his role as the manipulator of the game! How long do you think the survivors will listen to him? The people that they were trying to vote off was Fabio or Benry. Benry did not know that he was going to be blindsided! Fabio voted for Holly; Benry and Dan voted for Fabio; Chase, Holly, Jane and Sash voted for Benry!

In the tribal council, the members of the jury came. Among them were NaOnka and Purple Kelly who looked good. Jeff announces them as the quitters! They looked good and I think they do not really care what everyone says about them including Jeff Probst! Go, girls! You have all the right to withdraw from the game, if it will cost you your health and sanity! You were brave to do that and I applaud you both!

Who will be voted off next week? Will Sash still remain the manipulator? Will Fabio be the next target? Good questions which we have to wait until next week for the answers!

Undercover Boss, ABM Industries, 12032010

The latest featured undercover boss is Henrik Slipsager, President and CEO of ABM Industries. ABM Industries is the largest service contractor offering janitorial, parking, maintenance, engineering and security services.

The CEO, as usual traded his mansion and large office to work with the people in the bottom of his company. It is the same old storyline from the other undercover boss! What else can they do, except that? The outcome too, is the same...the CEO introduces himself to his trainers and gives them some kind of a reward, either a vacation, scholarship or a promotion! This is fine and dandy. My only qualm is ...how about the others in the company that works as hard as the few chosen ones?? Just say sorry ro these folks because they did not have the luck to be with the big honcho?? That is not fair! Is anything fair in this twisted world of ours? Comments, anyone?

It is also the same old story that the CEO fails miserably on his task and gets fired for the first time in his life! This happened in this episode when he was driving an airport shuttle bus with Kenny. Kenny thought that he was too slow and complained how heavy the bags are! Well, for one thing, the CEO is old! Ahem, excuse me...mature! Okay...mature and wise! That is better and more pleasing to the ears for the mature people, is it not??

Then he also cleans toilets and wash windows! Had he ever cleaned before? I do not think so! Of course, it is out of his comfort zone, so he will be very slow and not proficient!

I think they should try a different storyline for the undercover boss. Like what? It is for the writers and producers to decide! I am sure they have brilliant writers with grand ideas that can be put into the storyline! It is getting too monotonous and boring! Then why do you watch? There is nothing else to watch! Plus I do not really stay and watch it. I move around during the show! But some people like it. It is the same content...it is missing something that is hard to explain! Hopefully, they will change some of their format!

Goodbye To A Friend

It is Tuesday, December 7, 2010. I feel sooo lazy, after going to the funeral service of our friend. It was a beautiful service graced by about 300 people, more or less. The church was really full and there were many cars that saw him laid to rest in the cemetery. Although it was cold, it was a beautiful, sunny day! The priest talked about him and his past deeds and friends. I heard someone remark on our way out if on her funeral, there will be as many people as there was today? Indeed, this guy has many friends.... golfers, walkers, co-workers....etc.....etc......

The subject of death has been one that we usually do not want to touch. Why? For obvious reasons! The guy's family has bought the cemetery plot almost 20 years ago! In this year of inflation, that amount spent 20 years ago must have been 5x or 6x higher now. What do you think?

As we were driving, a discussion came about the final days on earth. We were thinking, the family chose a funeral home farther away from their home. We were thinking that is a good idea! Why? If the funeral home is close by, every time you pass the funeral home, it will just remind you of your loved one that has been there. What do you think?

The next discussion was about a cemetery plot or cremation. Cremation is less expensive, but you have the ashes stored in an urn. Someone had the ashes of her loved one in the cemetery, and she moved to another state. Our question...when you move, who will visit your grave or ashes? Another had the ashes of their loved one in their house. Question? Would you like to store the ashes in your home? When you leave this world, what will happen to the ashes? These are good, interesting questions!!! Someone said to scatter the ashes in your favorite place, your birthplace, etc...etc... so no one will be obligated to go to the cemetery. If the loved one re-marries, then the person that passed away will not have anyone visiting! These are really excellent questions that only you and a loved one can agree to. Any comments, anyone???

We were soo glad though that we were able to talk and be merry with him for the last time 2 weeks ago! Unbelievable! We were seated together in a party, drinking, eating, dancing, joking and carrying on. In an instant, the one you know will no longer be there on the usual place that he is on!! Life is really short! Make the most with it! Be at peace with everyone! Be happy and keep smiling!!

One thing though is really hard to do... to see someone depart from this life, whether it is your relative or a friend!! Goodbye, dear friend. Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord. And let perpetual light shine unto him! Amen!

Amazing Race, 12052010

The racers are down to the final 3! Who are the final 3? Who won this leg of the race? This race sure has taken the racers all over the world. This leg of the race took them 1,300 miles to Seoul, Korea. The teams had to drive to the DeMilitarized Zone near the North Korean border. Is that not scary? I do not think the show will do something that will endanger the safety of the racers! There they had to search for Seungil Bridge where they will find the next clue!

The clue instructs them to raft down the Hantangang River, board a humvee to go to the US Army Base Camp Casey. River rafting seems to be dangerously fun as the racers found out! Wow! It gave the racers the adrenaline push that they need! I will probably be scared to death doing the river rafting! Would you?

In Camp Casey, 1 team member had to choose a headband, walk among 200 soldiers practicing tae kwon do and find the matching headband, trying not to get hit by the tae kwon do-ers! Is there such a word? Well, there is one now...with me...Ha! Ha! Ha! Once the soldier is found, he would kick a board to reveal the next clue!

Where will the clue send them? By subway to Seoul World Cup Stadium. They had 2 options: Full Throttle or Full Bottle. In Full Throttle, teams had to travel on foot or subway to Mokdong Ice Rink, change into a speeding skating suit and skate a 2 person relay for 24 laps! Goodness gracious!!! That is a lot of laps! Suppose you do not know how to skate??? Tough!!! You will just have a sore behind!!! LOL! In Full Bottle, teams had to travel by foot or subway to Namdaemun Market, put on delivery uniforms and carry 6 giant ginseng roots without breaking any glass jar. Once the task is done, the clue will be given.

Next task was to go to Han Riverside Park or Yeouido Hangang Park to search for a statue of an airplane where the next clue is. The next clue finally instructs them to the Pit Stop at Temple of Heaven, the imperial shrine built in 1897 for the first and only emperor of Korea.

Who were the first team to arrive? Brook and Claire! But, alas! they incurred a 30 minute penalty for taking a taxi, instead of the subway to Mokdong Ice Rink! That cost them a trip for 2 to Argentina! Well, at least, they are still in the final 3!!! Jill and Thomas were the second to arrive who were ecstatic to receive the good news! Nenenenene, Brook and Claire, that is what you get for not reading the instructions!!! How many teams were eliminated because of non-compliance to the rules? Plenty!!!

Nick DeCarlo and Vicki Casciola were eliminated! Final 3: Jill/Thomas, Brook/Claire and Nat and Kat! Who are you rooting for? Well, the prize money is 1 million... Nat and Kat are doctors, they do not need the money. I am rooting for Brook and Claire and not for Jill and Thomas just because there are no 2 women pair winners yet!

Happy Saturday

What is happy with Saturday? Well, you are alive, right? Yes? You can see, right? Yes? You can hear, right? Okay, I get it!

The day started right with breakfast, and getting dressed to see a friend that fell and banged his head on the floor last Monday. Diagnosis was aneurysm and he was taken off from life support on Wednesday. A friend of ours went to visit him yesterday, he was transferred from ICU and was still comatose. When we arrived in the hospital, we asked the receptionist his room number. She asked if we were family which we said," friends." She told us we have to talk to the family! We called one of our friends who told us he passed away last night! Is that what they usually say in the hospital if a person is gone? Why can't they just say the bad news? I do not know. And we did not even had any hint of what is going on! We thought that he was just really bad that is why they are not letting people visit him! Little did we know that he was gone! And to think that we were in his table on a party last Saturday!! He even requested to be with us on the same table!! Goodness gracious!!! One da, you are here, next day, you are gone!!! He is just in his early 70's!! He is still very young! Please pray for him!!!

Do you believe that on our way back home that our car would not start? Dead battery!! We were sooo glad that we got a booster...and a new battery had to be installed!!! Ayayay!!!! More moolah to fork out!!! Oh, well, at least it was still daytime when that happened!

We were on our way home, when we passed Popeye chicken in Oak Park. I have not had any for a long time, so we stopped to get some. When we arrived home and started to eat, we found out that we were shorted by an order of large fries!!! Dumbo!!! How come I did not check the bag??? I usually check it!! And this place is more than 30 minutes away from us!!! Yikes!! I was going to call the place but there is no phone # on the receipt! Finally got the telephone #, but there was no answer! I also found out that this place has had quite a few of missed items in the order! Lesson learned: Always check your order before leaving!!! It is only probably $2. 39 for the fries, but if they kept on doing that, that is a lot of money that the management can pocket from the customers!!! I will keep on trying to call them even though it might be awhile before I probably go that way! I was sooo disappointed that I did not have the cajun fries! Oh, well, less calories! The chicken and cajun rice were really good!!!

So, you are right, it is a happy and glorious Saturday, after all!! Have a nice weekend, everyone!!! May God bless all of us!!!!

News This Week

There are many interesting news this week. I am only going to touch on a few topics. Are you ready? Get set! Go!

What is new?? Nothing much! Same old stories..... Unemployment still sucks! Benefits are still under debate! In the meantime many have already lost their benefits since last month. Why can't the government extend the benefits for another year? Let's face it...there are not a lot of jobs out there, unless we all go overseas and work there! That is really, really sad, with Christmas just around the corner!

Housing sucks! The value of houses have really gone down a lot, but it seems the taxes are still high! What do we do about this? Not sure. Anyone has any ideas to get the housing to rebound?

Economy sucks! They say that people are spending for the holidays. I see at the mall that is true! But what are people using? Credit cards! To go deeper in debt? Sigh. That is not good! The stores are really luring customers to visit them...some had given out customers a $10.00 coupon, another $15.00 and some have ongoing sale with a 10 to 20 % off on merchandise! But when you look at it, it seems the prices were raised, and then they give you a discount??? That does not seem right! Any comments??

T =Tough! whether you liked it or not, it will be done!!! S = Sexual. Isn't groping a sexual act? A=Act that everyone despises! Wow!!! That is a good one! The invasive and intrusive strip search is still a very hot conversation piece. Ther are some women that go through the scanner wearing bikinis and underwear, only to be rejected! My! My! My! Is that insane, ridiculous or what??? Anyway, how safe is the scanner that virtually strips you from head to toe? The 135 machines which will number to 1,000 by 2011 is supposed to emit negligible amount of radiation, lower than the chest x-rays. How does it work? The radiation is absorbed in your skin, is reflected back creating an image of your body, in other words it shows everything underneath your clothes, including your "tootsies or thingie."Ha! Ha! Ha! Are those the best words you can use?? But what will be the effect in the long run for people that travel a lot? Who knows? Let us just hope and pray that we will not see a rise in cancer patients!!! They say that there is a new machine that does the same thing, but it is non- radiation. I wonder when and how long before they get to use those machines!

LeBron James was back to Cleveland the other day. Were the locals still upset with him for going with the Miami Heat? Of course, they were! The people in Cleveland should get over the saga with LeBron... If he had chosen to leave, let him go! After all, he has been in Cleveland for 7 years! Get over it! It is easy to say, but who cares, there will be another basketball star that will emerge sooner or later and LeBron James will just be another name! In the meantime, Miami Heat won against the Cleveland Cavaliers, 118 - 90! Who cares? It is just basketball!!

US dollar. The US dollar has really gone down quite a bit. Here are some sample of how much the US dollar is against the other currencies: 1 USD = 0.76027 Euro, or 1 Euro = 1.31532 USD;
1 USD = 84.06433 Japanese Yen ( JPY), or 1 JPY = 0.01190 USD; 1 USD = 1.33067 New Zealand dollar ( NZD), or 1 NZD = 0.75150 USD; 1 USD = 31.34109 Russian Rouble (RUB), OR 1 RUB = 0.03191 USD; 1 USD = 1.01264 Canadian Dollar ( CAD), or 1 CAD = 0.98752 USD; 1 USD = 6.67146 Chinese Yuan Renminbi ( CNY), or 1 CNY = 0.14989 USD. Wow!!!! No wonder the Russians and the Chinese are not going to use for trading anymore the once mighty US dollar!!! Do you think the US will rebound to be the world power again?? Who knows, but China is really in full force being the number 1! Comments, anyone???

Have a nice, safe and blessed weekend!!! May God bless us all!!!

Survivor Nicaragua, 12012010

This episode had a new development that I do not think has happened before in the history of Survivor! And what is that? Two survivors are quitting!! Just like that!!! In a blink of an eye...not one, but 2 people! Surprise! Surprise! I think even Jeff Probst was surprised at the sudden development of the show! Now, there will be no voting in the tribal council tonight! The other survivors are sooo thankful to these two! Wow!!! What a shocker!!! The others really felt relieved that they can survive 2 more weeks!!! Does that mean they do not have to vote next week also?? How about the people on the jury??? They were also so shocked and surprised and at the same time mad as a burrito! Why did you say burrito? I have another word but I do not think I can say that word here! Plus I can say anything I want since this is a free country! Sort off, is it not?? He! He! He!

The survivors had to be divided into 2 teams: the yellow team - Fabio, Sash, Purple Kelly S, and Jane; the blue team - Chase, NaOnka, Holly and Benry. Each team had to be tied together while they have to untie a giant Gulliver and go though a series of obstacles. The obstacles were not easy! They had to climb over to the other side while bringing Gulliver and go though mud, hay etc. Yikes!!! A very physical challenge! I applaud these survivors for going through all these physical challenges! Dan, on the other hand, is having a free ride all along, not participating in the reward challenge! He chose the winning team, which was the blue team!!! The reward was going to the Survivor's Cinema to see Gulliver's Travels, and feast on hot dogs, nachos and popcorn! Yum! Yum!

Since the survivors lost their tarp and food, Jeff made them an offer that only Holly took, which was to give up her place in the cinema. In exchange, the survivors can have the tarp and rice! How noble Holly was!!! Or was it just to gain sympathy and friendship from the others??? Hmmm...You always think of something! Oh, well...NaOnka and Purle Kelly announced that they were quitting the game. Jefft looked surprised, but not the other survivors. What was the reason that they were quitting??? They cannot take anymore the harsh weather that is on them day in and day out! Jeff told them to think it over until the tribal council! Do you think they made a mistake? No, I do think so! At least they lasted for 28 days!! Wowie!! That is indeed an accomplishment! NaOnka and Kelly S...Bravo!!!! Good job, girls!!! If that was me, I would have quit the 1st day... with the punishment you take everyday, living in the open, always cold and hungry! I like my bed, showers, food...the whole thing!! I was wondering though about Jane and Holly. My gosh these are 2 elderly women out there! The million dollars must have been a really good incentive for them! Jane Bright is 56 and Holly Hoffman is 44!! Woo...hooo....ladies!!!! you both are either insane or like physical challenges!!! I hope you two get to be the last 2 standing against the young men and Dan Lembo,63, who is a weakling!

The tribal council was just a reiteration of what NaOnka Mixon, 27, and Purple Kelly Shinn, 20, told everyone during the reward challenge that they are quitting! No ifs, buts or maybe!!! Good job girls!!! Will they be joining Alina, Marty and Brenda in the jury house, since they were not voted off but they quit?? Who knows?? Will there be some more that will quit??

This is really one show that will test your endurance and the will to live in an environment that is harsh and open! Are you up to the challenge for the next episode to win a million dollars????

Just Plain Talk

Time flies when you are having fun!!! Where did the time go?? It is already December 1st!! Wow!!! Pretty soon, it will be Christmas! I have a question... why do we say pretty soon??? Is soon pretty?? Who, when and how were the words started to be used with soon? I really do not know, and who cares?? If you really care, then do a research and blog about it!!! Or ask someone. I am sure there is at least one person out there that is very smart and knows when pretty came to being with soon! In the meantime, let us go on with our blogging....

The first thing on my list is the billionaires, e.g., Buffett, Gates etc, etc.. going on a trip to China. They were going to see about investing in a business overseas. It also showed how these billionaires do not have to go though security and the customs! Of course, they would not have to go through the TSA and the infamous pat down/ groping because they have their own luxurious jets!! It must really be nice to be able to go anywhere without any worry about money or anything! They were also trying to talk to the rich Chinese about charity. I guess charity is not really in the vocabulary of the Chinese people. It might take time to persuade them to part with their precious yuan to help the less fortunate! Any, comments???

The fall of the dollar. It seems that China and Russia have dropped using the dollar for trading. They will each use their money now. What will happen to the dollar??? It will probably be weaker and more devalued! Wouldn't that be good for the US economy??? If the dollar is down, more people will come to America to buy mercandise, is it not?? I remember a few years back, I saw at the mall some people from Canada coming to the US to buy since their money went up!!! Can you imagine that? Canadian money is equal or higher than the American money now! I remember about 20 years ago that $1.00 US was equal to $1.50 Canadian! Sigh! Gone are those days! Oh, well. Comments, anyone???

Federal deficit. What are the plans of the US government to reduce the deficit??? Plenty, from what I heard. Are you ready?? 1 - Raise the age for social security benefits. My goodness, that is bad for the older people, they really will not enjoy their golden years! Excuse me, some seniors are not enjoying it now either! Some went back to work to make ends meet! And there is quite a bit of seniors that filed for bankruptcy! 2 - Change of the tax laws that will cost an average taxpayer $1,700 more per year! Yikes!!! That is not good!!! 3- Raise the Medicare premium. Oh, oh. This is not good either! By the way, they are also cutting down the doctor's fee by 25 % come January 1st!!! They have not given an increase to seniors for 2 years now!!! 4 - End the home mortgage deduction! What??? That is the only thing people can deduct from their taxes, since they took out the other deductions! My! My! My! What is the world getting into??? 5 - Raise gasoline taxes!! Goodness gracious!!! What will gasoline cost?? $7.00/gallon??? Wow!! Today, gasoline was $2.92 /gallon. It is outrageous!! If the gasoline go up, then everything will go up!!! Then what are people supposed to do??? Live on the streets???

Federal pay freeze. The federal employees are not going to have raises for the next 2 years! Woo..hoo....Except they already had a big chunk of raise for the last 2 years! Even if they do not get a raise, they are still better off than the private sector when it comes to pay rates!!! Right????

Unemployment. It is still very high! And many people will lose their benefits come Christmas or have already lost their unemployment benefit last month, the end of November! What will happen to these people??? I am not sure but I am praying to God that our government will do something to alleviate the unemployment and hopelessness that seems to be the norm in our society now! Can the billionaires do something for America and the people in need??? They will probably say, " what do they care?" I do not know, maybe I am thinking that there might be someone with money and nice enough to do something to make the lives better for our people! Isn't there a country that helps their people???

I think that is it for now. Let me talk about something lighter now. Rockefeller Center Tree Lighting last night. Wow!!! That is a huge Christmas tree that was lit up and witnessed by hundreds of people! And there was a bevy of celebrities that made the occasion really festive, like Jackie Evancho, Terry Fator, Jessica Simpson, Susan Boyle and Josh Groban. It was indeed a very nice celebration to herald the start of the Christmas season in New York City!!!

Amazing Race, 11282010

There are 4 teams left on the Amazing Race. Will the doctors remain in first place? Will they eventually win the million dollar grand prize??? What will happen to Nick and Vicki's relationship?? Will they survive the hustle and bustle of the race??

Jill and Thomas were the first team to fly 3,500 miles to HongKong. In HongKong, they had to take the bus and ferry to Cheung Chau Island and search for the Cheung Po Tsai Cave for the next clue. The clue will take them to Majesty Chinese restaurant in Kowloon. In the buffett table, one racer has to find a fake piece of food. Every food they touch has to be eaten! Wow!!! I wish I was there! The food look sooo yummy!!! But there are 2 racers that do not think so! Claire and Vicki got sick and started to throw up!!! Yikes!!! That is sooo gross! Once they accomplish this task, they can proceed to the next one.

The next task is a choice of Ding Ding or Sampan. In Ding Ding, racers had to board a 100 year old tram searching from the thousands of signs for the next Pit Stop, Statue Square! In Sampan, racers had to pick a wooden cage with 2 parakeets, board a sampan to find the registration on the hundreds of the boats that matches the one on the bird cage! Sounds easy??? No, I do not think so!!! The task was so hard that Nick slept on the boat leaving Vicki by herself looking at the hundreds of boats! Nick wanted to go and just incur the 6 hour penalty but Vicky did not want to give up! My! My! My! Vicki...is that what is in store for you and Nick??? Think hard before you continue your relationship with him!!! Well, any comments, anyone??

The first team to reach the Pit Stop was Nat Strand and Kat Chang. Amazing!!! These women doctors are really good!!! Go, girls!!! What did they get?? A trip to Rio de Janeiro!!! Is this the third prize they have won so far??? Wow!!! The last one to arrive were Nick DeCarlo, and Vicky Casciola. They were really lucky since it is a non-elimination leg of the race, but they have incurred a 6 hour penalty and a speed bump! Oh, well, at least they are still on the race!! Maybe this time, Nick will be nicer to Vicki and will be a better teammate!!! Who knows??? Any bets about this team???

Apprentice, 11252010

There are 4 people left in the Apprentice. Who will be eliminated on this episode? Who will be in the finals?

The episode started with Donald Trump giving them their assignment, which was to sell women's accessories by designer Isaac Mizrahi at QVC in West Chester, Pennsylvania. Octane, Clint Robertson and Steuart Martens chose the leather satchel handbags since Clint saw how his wife bought very expensive handbags when they were still well off! Fortitude, Lisa Mucheru- Wisner and Brandy Kuentzel chose the mother of pearl watches!

Steuart was the spokesperson on their team. I thought he did a good job except Clint should have kept quiet! Clint was trying to feed words to Steuart which a distraction! And Wow! They were selling the handbags for $194.97 which Mizrahi thought was too high! I thought that was outrageously high also. They sold 24 handbags for a total sale of $2,174.25. Did they win??

Lisa chose Brandy to be the spokesperson since she is Caucasian. Per Lisa, 85 % of QVC viewers are 85 % Caucasian. I do not know why race has anything to do with the spokesperson is???? They were selling the watches for $69.50, and they sold 77, bringing the total to $2,998.38!!! The women won!!! Way to go, girls!!!!

In the boardroom, the men were scrambling to get their behinds saved! Steuart is only 27 years old, has a business degree - finance and marketing. Clint is 40, is a CPA and has a law degree!!! Steuart mentioned that he grossed a million when he was 23! Clint burst his bubble by stating that he too made a million by that age!!! Wow!!! Very impressive!!! I think I like Steuart better. Why? Just because he is better looking than Clint??? No, it seems that Clint is kind of cocky and has a high and mighty attitude! I do not know, maybe it is just me. Any comments, anyone???

Who did Trump fire?? Steuart Martens!!! Steuart is back in Washington DC to his business ventures!!! Hopefully, he learned something in the Apprentice that will help him with his business!!!!

Who will be Trump's latest apprentice? Clint, Lisa or Brandi??? Stay tuned next week!

Skating With The Stars, 11232010

Now that Dancing With The Stars is in the past, there is a new show that emerged, " Skating With The Stars." Since there was nothing good to watch, I decided to watch it. I was surprised to see that the celebrities can skate! Wow! They must have picked those with previous skating experience, although I was not sure who they were! The professional skaters are also not known, at least by me! They are not the skaters that are well known. Why? Perhaps, the well known professional skaters are very busy, or perhaps the producers are not giving a very good incentive to join the show! Who knows??? Whatever the reason or reasons are, it is here, it is already a signed and seal deal. Just keep quiet and watch!!! I wonder if Skating With The Stars will give the same thrill, excitement, and controversy that the fans experienced with Dancing With The Stars??? I guess, we will have to find out, won't we??

Here are the skating pairs: The first pair is Bethenny Frankel/ Ethan Burgess. Frankel was the first runner up on Apprentice: Martha Stewart, a natural food chef and has appeared on The Real Housewives of New York; Burgess is a 3 times USA team member and has won medals in skating. Frankel was not bad with her skates!

Next pair: Brandon Mychal Smith/ Keauna McLaughlin. Smith plays Nico Harris on Disney channel Sonny with a Chance, and McLaughlin is from Hawaii and partner of Ethan Burgess. Smith can really skate!!!

Next pair: Jonny Moseley/Brooke Castile. Didn't Moseley won medals for his skiing in the Olympics? Castile is now a coach and choreographer in Detroit. She was the 2007 US national champion with partner Ben Okolski. Never heard of Castile nor Okolski!!

How about Rebecca Budig/ Fred Palascak? Budig is on All My Children as Greenlee Smythe and Palascak is married to Melanie Lambert, another skater!

Sean Young, a movie actor and Denis Petukhov. Petukhov and Melissa Gregory represented th US in the 2006 Winter Olympics.

Vince Neil, a rock singer with Tommy Lee in Motley Crue. Is he the oldest in the group??? His partner is Jennifer Wester who trained in Italy and Switzerland!

All I can say to the pairs is that they were not bad at all! I was surprised... I thought that I will see a lot of them falling and slipping on the ice. Impressive first day!! I might watch them! Has any of you know and heard of the skaters??? Any comments????

Undercover Boss - Subway, 11192010

Dan Fertman, former member of the pop band Crayon is the latest featured undercover boss. I never heard of the Crayon group. Did they ever had number one hits or songs that you know???He was the orange crayon of the band. He had to enter a rehab for drug and alcohol abuse, just like the other entertainment people!!! How come almost all pop singers, rock stars, and actors had to do drugs and alcohol?? Probably, they have sooo much money they do not know what to do with it! Or perhaps, they are lonely, so they resort to drugs! What do you think???He was offered a job selling subway franchises when the band broke down, and eventually he worked his way up!!! Although he worked at Subway, he confessed that he never made a subway sandwich!! How about that??? I thought that is a pre-requisite to be employed in Subway or any other sandwich shops!!! How did he dodge that training??? Hmmmmm... he must really be good friends with the owner!!!

His first mission? To make sandwiches! He was paired with Jessi, a sandwich artist! Wow!!! Is that what they call people who make sandwiches??? With the title, do they get paid more than the other fast food places??? Why not sandwich engineer??? You are a nincompoop! Well, they attach everything to an engineer, so why not a sandwich??? Ha! Ha! Ha! You are sooo crazy!!! So, next time I make a sandwich, I have to say, the sandwich artist at work!!! He! He! He! Anyway, back to Subway.... Did you know that sandwich artists can make a sandwich, wrap it up and put it in the bag in 40 - 50 saconds??? Wow!!! That is really fast! Needless to say, Fertman failed to accomplish this feat, so Jessi just assigned him in the back doing dishes and emptying the trash bags! What did Jessi get in return??? Fertman offered to pay her college education and a vacation for her and her father!!! Same old story like the other undercover episodes!!! It is getting to be too corny and boring, don't you think so??? Then why do you watch it??? There is nothing better to watch!!!

Second task was in Auburn, Alabama which was game day! Sherri, who has worked for 19 years at Subway was his mentor. Sherri found out that Fertman is a talker...he was slowing the line!!! Well, to make the story short, Fertman offered $10,000 to her to star in a customer service video and to be flown to California for a national conference to get RRR- rest, relaxation and retail!!! Wooo...hoooo.....

Next stop was baking with Efrainin a new store in Orlando, Florida. Did he do well with baking? Of course not!!! Plus, he managed to lock himself in a walkin freezer!!! That was hilarious, but scary for Fertman!!! So, what did Efrain get from all of this? 45,000 to donate to a foster program of his choice and $1,000 to do something nice for his adoptive mother! That's it??? That seems too cheap!!! Comments, anyone???

Last stop was in a subway shop in a church in Buffalo, New York! It has been in existence for 5 years and it provides job opportunities and experience for people in the region! Duane, his mentor showed how to do delivery. He was impressed with Duane, who was also a pastor in another church that he waived the $15,000 franchise fee so he could start his own Subway shop in his own church!!

By the way, how much is a Subway franchise? I do not know but you have to have money to make money!!! And nothing is cheap!!! Do you know that Subway is a 14 billion empire with 33,000 stores in 93 countries!!! That is really good!!! I wonder about the other sandwich shops??? That is for you to research!!! Ha! Ha! Ha!

Have a nice weekend!!!! God bless everyone!!!

Post Thanksgiving News

Another Thanksgiving Day had gone by.... now we are left with many leftovers!!! What do we do with the left overs, if it was not given away??? It will remain in your refrigerator for a few weeks. How about months of housing in the freezer that will be forgotten until next year??? Ha! Ha! Ha! You are crazy!!! With this economy??? I do not think people will be throwing their left overs!!! It will be re-cycled to create a new dish!!! Like what?? Turkey, make sandwiches or casseroles!! My family do not like turkey, so we have not been serving turkey for a long time. Ham is also one that we do not buy for the holidays. For us, the ham bone is the only thing we want for the pea soup!!! I wonder where we can get ham bones for the soup??? In the garbage!!! Yikes!!! You are sooo gross!!! I do not think so. People use it for pea soup!!! It is sooo yummy!!! Ham is also good for the western omelet, is it not??? If you did not eat turkey and ham, what did you have??? Good old Chinese food.....Chicken fried rice, crispy chicken, cantonese chicken chow mein. We also had barbeque pork in skewers, cheesy potatoes with bacon, cut up vegetables and dip, watergate salad, pumpkin pie with cool whip and oatmeal raisin/chocolate chip cookies!!! Wow!!! That sounds good!!! It was really, really good!!! My family and I were sooo thankful for the blessings we have! I am sure all of you are saying the same thing!!! Now back to reality....

Let us start with the mega mosque. I thought this is no longer going to happen! I was so surprised to see that Sharif El Gamal, the developer for the project, which changed the name to Park 51 project to The Cordoba House, was named one of NBC'S people of the Year!!! Isn't that amazing??? Matt Lauer interviewed him last night and I was amazed to know that he was born to an American mother and an Egyptian father! He is a Muslim, and I almost choked when he said that, "every Muslim is a true Jew and Christian, because Islam considers itself to be the true, corrected version of Judaism and Christianity." Either he is a fool or a liar to say that or he does not know his religion!!! And to top it all, he is asking for a $5 million grant from the United States government to help finance the building of the mega mosque!!! Isn't that ludicrous??? Enough of this, it just makes me soooo mad!@!!

Next item... Seniors. Medicare benefits for senior will be cut down, and some doctors will no longer accept Medicare patients. Medicare is cutting payments to doctors by 23 % starting December 1st to keep Medicare spending on doctors in line with the economy's overall growth rate. The retirement age will go up to 67 in 2027!!! Yikes!!! People will not get the break they deserve after working all those years!!! Plus benefits will be lowered to wealthy retirees and will trim the annual cost of living!!! What do you mean??? Seniors are upset because for 2 years now, there is no cost of living allowance, while the government workers will be given a substantial increase across the board!!! Go figure the madness of this!!! Did you know that there was over 1.5 million that filed for bankcrupty this year, and there are many seniors included in the statistics!!! With the cost of living, health care costs and low income, I can see why!!! This is not right, don't you all agree???

How about North Korea provoking war with South Korea??? That is not good!!! I did not know that there are many American soldiers stationed in South Korea??? North Korea attacked South Korea last Tuesday, but South Korea did not respond with a counterattack! South Koreans did not like that their government was too soft. As a result, their country's defense minister resigned last Thursday!!! And where was the North Korean president? President and son were busy touring a soy sauce factory and a medical school!!! My! My! My! I think that was good that the South stayed calm and cool. They are being cautious that it will not escalate!!! They have to be applauded. Let us all pray for North and South Korea that they will have peace!!!

I have to touch on the General Motors being public, with the initial offering of $33.00. Whatever happened to the die hard GM stock holders when they were dead??? The stockholders were pushed under the carpet, so to speak! GM changed the old GM name to MTLQQ, and you know what??? It is not worth anything!!!! Only a few cents!!! What happened, GM??? You should not have penalized the people that has stocks from you that did not leave you!!! Boo...hoo... to you!!! Don't you get it??? This is a greedy, hard core company that does not care with anybody!!!

I think I have enough bad news for this glorious day. I will shift my blog to ....Black Friday!!!! Where did Black Friday originate? Per Wikipedia, it originated in Philadelphia in 1966, and indicates the period where retailers are turning profits, hence, "in the black." It is the day after Thanksgiving, the busiest retail shopping day of the year. It is the start of the Christmas shopping!!!! I cannot believe that people really set up camp outside of stores to go shopping at the wee hours of the day, amid the rain and cold weather!!! What are they trying to buy??? Electronics which probably was slashed quite a bit!!! The only thing about these sales, you go there, wait for hours to go in the store, only to find out that there are only 3 or 4 with that price!!! The stores will lure you to come in... and once you are there, you might settle for a higher priced item and buy more things that you really do not need!!! An impulse buying!!! Do you get a raincheck?? Maybe, maybe not!!! If you get one, you will be lucky to get it. Sometimes, you keep coming back to the store only to find out that they still do not have it!!! And after so many trips, you just get tired and throw the raincheck away!!! Any comments??? I do not know where these people get the money to buy and buy... With nearly 15 million unemployed, or around 9.6 %, you would think that people will be apprehensive to spend their money this Christmas!!! With the higher taxes looming ahead of us, I am not sure if we should really part with our hard earned dollars!!! I know, I know!!! We should help the economy!!! That is easy to say...but who is helping our individual economy??? I rest my case!!!!

May God bless us all!!! Have a nice weekend!!!!

Thanksgiving Day, 2010

Happy Thanksgiving to all!!!!

Are you ready for the turkey and all it's trimmings??? Wow!! There goes our diet again!! Forget about diets, will you pass the turkey, cornbread, potato pie, pumpkin pie, casseroles, etc..etc... Yum! Yum! Yum!!! I just love the holidays... good food and good company!!!

Let us thank God for all that we have. May He continue to shower us with His grace and blessings throughout the year.

Have a safe and a very good Thanksgiving!!!

Dancing With The Stars - Season 11 Finals, 11232010

Dancing With The Stars- Season 11 is finally over, and another Mirror Ball Trophy was handed out to a celebrity!!! Was the winner a well deseving one, or was it just from the popularity of the celebrity??? How was the final episode???

Let me start with the judges. Len and Bruno, I cannot really say anything about them and their outfits. Carrie Ann Inaba??? I do not like her hair!!! How about Brooke Burke?? She seems to be always posing and she flutters or blinks her eyes constantly when the camera is on her! What is wrong with that??? I think she is overacting, and she seems to be artificial!!! I am not sure if that is the right word. Oh, well. Am I the only one who noticed this about Brooke??? Her outfits though are really nice, with that figure to die for!!! And how many children does she have??? Wow!!! That is truly amazing!!! How about Tom??? Why do people like to pinch his butt??? What does that mean, and what is different with his butt??? My! My! My! You ask too many questions!!!

Well, the final episode was graced by Christina Aguilera, singing and looking sexy!!! I think this is from her new movie with Cher, "Burlesque." Actually, I did not like her singing and movements, but who am I to say??? I am sure many people out there would like her movie, especially the men!!! Oh, Ya, Baby!!! The men would really like this movie!!! Ha! Ha! Ha! Back to DWTS.....

The eliminated celebrities also performed. Brandy and Maksim, who I hoped have recovered from the shock of being eliminated before Bristol Palin! Kurt Warner and Rick Fox also showed their dancing skills with their partners, and so with Margaret and Florence. Margaret must be really pleased that she once again wore her rainbow costume!!! How about Florence??? What in the heck was she wearing??? She is really sooo yellow with her outfit!!!! What is wrong with that??? Nothing, she just looks like a banana!!! Ha! Ha! Ha! A yummy one???? Never mind, do not answer!!!! How about David Hasselhoff?? He was lip synching and dancing! I was sure he was itching to sing, but he was not given an opportunity, which was good!!! Why? Don't you like his singing??? Not really!!! The Situation was also there, as usual, showing off his abs!!! Show off!!! Is it just me, or he seems to be a big head??? Comments???

Well, now, are you done with the guests? Are you going to tell us about the final 3 and their dances? Patience, my dear!!!! You are sooo impatient!!! Okay, okay....The first set of dance was the favorite ballroom dance of each celebrity! Kyle and Lacey performed their Tango. It was good and it earned them a score of 26, with an overall score of 82!!! They should have performed a livelier dance that shows Kyle's bubbly personality!!! Can you use the word, " bubbly" for a guy??? Who cares whether I use bubbly for a guy or not??? This is a free country, sort of!!! Yikes!!! Calm down!!! Goodness gracious!!! How about Bristol and Mark with their Tango??? First of all, I do not like Bristol's outfit! She seems to be a part of a band! Arghhh, she is sooo conservative at her age!! Well, she does not want to embarrass her mommy!!! Can you blame her??? They earned a score of 25, overall score - 77!! How about Jennifer and Derek? I was so surprised that they did not dance the Tango also! They settled for the Waltz. When I saw that, I said, oh, oh, why did they chose that dance??? Is the song from Dirty Dancing??? I think so! Probably it is also because of a ruptured disc she incurred the night before!! I am soo amazed at how her body is at her age!!! Are you jealous??? Yup!!! And soooo with many women out there!!! Right??? She really looks good, pain and all!!!! How could she still be flexible at age 50??? Their score? A perfect 30, with an overall score of 90!!!

The next round of dance was Cha - Cha, with the instant music," Raise Your Glass," by Pink. their dancing were all okay. All I can see with Jennifer and Bristol were their outfits flapping!! Well, their outfits were better than that of Lacey!!! What in the world was Lacey wearing??? Well, she wants to be different. It is not good!!! Oh, well, to each his or, rather, her own!!! Leave her alone, will you!!! She can wear anything she wants! After all, this is a free country, is it not?? This is the second time you said that!!! Why??? Do you really want to touch that subject??? Okay, we are still a free country, but when we go the airports... we are treated like criminals!!! We go through a scanner that someone sees all of you, and then we get a thorough pat down, including your private parts!!! If someone touches you outside that is a suit, because that is sexual harassment... touching in inappropriate places!!! How come the government does not condone this??? I want to see them go through this unnecesseary sexual harassment!!! Oh, oh, I should not have provoked you. You are again deviating from DWTS!!! Okay, where am I?? Their scores!!! The scores??? Kyle/Lacey - 28, Jennifer/Derek - 28, Bristol/Mark - 27!!!

And the winner is... Jennifer and Derek!!!!! This is the third time that Derek has won!!! I think he is just sooo lucky that he gets young partners!!! Jennifer is not young!!! Ya!!! But she has been exposed to dancing from her movie!!! Let us see if he gets someone like Florence, Betty White, Margaret and other older celebrities. Whew!!! It is a good thing the really deserving dancer won!!! Now the controversy should die down!!! Anyway, how do they end up with their partners??? Can the professional dancers pick or is it a random raffle??? Does anyone know???Comments???

Amazing Race, 11202010

The teams on this episode had to fly 2,000 miles from Muscat to Dhaka, Bangladesh. The first to leave was Chad and Stephanie. Will Chad and Stephanie continue with their lucky streak, or will they be eliminated? This is the beauty of the show, no one knows who will emerge victorious at the end of each leg of the race. There are so many variables, plus the race is not for the faint of heart! You have to have endurance, stamina and brain power to succeed! It is unlike the other reality shows where you wait for the votes, either outside or from your peers, which sometimes is not fair! If you have a good fan base, then you will win! What are you talking about???Now, now, I am deviating from my topic, so I will leave it. Okay???

The teams have to go to Sundorban Square supermarket to find a sugar cane press. Each team had to fill a large mug with sugar cane juice and one team member had to drink it to get the next clue! That must have been a yummy drink!! I remembered munching on sugar cane and it was sooo sweet!!! You cannot eat the whole thing, you just have to get the juice out!!! Then you have to spit out the thing! Yikes!!! Spit!! That is gross!!! Not really spit, but throw it out, okay??? What thing?? I guess the sugar cane pulp or whatever it is called! Come on, someone help me with the right name!!! So much for that.....Once they accomplish this task, they will get the next clue!

The next clue took the teams to do either Balanced Bricks or Balanced Meal. In Balanced Meal, teams had to pick up a midday snack called tiffin, which is delivered in a stack of metal containers. Ha! I have seen this in old movies! I am surprised that they are still using it in some parts of the world! Well, there are many things that are still done the old fashioned way!!! Here, in America,we just put it in plastic containers, and presto! you have your lunch!! We have really become people that go for modern things!!! I wonder how much those metal containers cost in auction??? Hmmm, after all, they are antique!!! I also wonder if someone here still has some of those??? Anyway, the teams had to travel to a harbor to a cargo ship where they have to hoist 30 containers to the deck. How hard is that??? Seems like an easy task, is it not? Once the meals were delivered, teams had to return with 10 empty containers!Only then will they get the next clue!!

In Balanced Bricks, teams had to transport 100 bricks using their heads from a supply shop to a nearby shop. Ay..ya..yay!!!! Won't that break your neck??? That is a lot of bricks!!! Can you do it??? I doubt it. Can you??? Once the bricks are delivered, the clue is handed to them!!!

There is a new twist to the episode: a double u turn! Two teams had to pick a team to go back and perform the other side of the detour! Woe are the teams that will be u-turned! This might be a costly task for them! Jill and Thomas targeted Brook and Claire, Nat and Kat u-turned Chad and Stephanie!!! Oh, oh, I can see the words revenge written all over Chad's face!!

The next clue took them to a rickshaw cycle shop at Nazira Bazaar where each team had to assemble one. That must really be a huge business for rickshaw in Bangladesh! Wowie!!! I could just imagine how hard it is to assemble one, just like what the teams experienced! The rickshaw has to be assembled perfectly or there will be accidents with people riding it!! Can you just imagine, if a person is riding it and all of a sudden, it falls apart??? Yuck!!! Please do not think of such a thing!!! Sorry, I could not help it! Once the task is done, they can go to the Pit Stop at Lalbagh Fort.

Jill and Thomas were the first to arrive and they won $15,000 Discover gift card! That is another beauty of the show.....contestants keep getting prizes along the way, and they are not cheap prizes either!!! So, are we going to audition for the next show??? Of course..... not!!!! Ha! Ha! Ha! You thought I will say yes!!! Not this kid!!! I do not think I could last more than one leg!!! How about a million dollars??? Is that enough incentive??? Nope!!!!

Sad to say, Chad Waltrip,26 and Stephanie Smith,23, newly engaged were eliminated. The u-turn cost them dearly, but at least they are engaged and they won a trip!!! That is why, the first cannot always remain as the first in this reality show!!! Too many variables, and soo many surprises!!!!

Anything Goes.......

There are so many topics that I am so intrigue that I want to blog about. To start, Dancing With The Stars. Brandy Norwood and Maksim Chmerkovskiy, the team that just got eliminated. Until now, they are still upset why they left before Bristol Palin and Mark Ballas! I was wondering if Bristol has a better fan base than the 2 combined, that is why they were eliminated! Why is Brandy and Maksim sooo devastated with their loss over Bristol??? These two must really have big, big heads, or ego, as they call it!!! Plus you two do not have a Mama as big as Mama Palin!!! She was almost going to be our vice president, and she is sooo pretty!!! Can you imagine, competing with the daughter of a bigger celebrity that the two of you combined!!!! Come on, Maksim and Brandy, get hold of yourselves, be a sport!!! Plus, Maksim's run in with Carrie Ann Inaba was uncalled for! Why can't Maksim zip his big mouth??? In other words, what is done is done, you two should just accept your loss gracefully and do it in the name of the sport! Do not let this cause you unnecessary grief and lose of sleep!!! You two should not dwell on this... move on and do not be sore losers!!!

Ten richest countries in the world. 1- Luxembourg, the size of Rhode Island, bordered by France, Germany, and Belgium. This is Europe's premier investment center! 2-Norway, a highly literate and affluent population because of income from oil and natural gas. 3-Kuwait, smaller than New Jersey, contains 9% of the world's oil reserves. 4- Macau, textile and manufactured goods exporter with a productive seaport. 5-Brunei, the home of the Sultan who used to be the richest man in the world!6-Singapore, leaders of pharmaceutical industries and electronics. 7- United States. Even though the unemployment is almost 10 %, it made the list due to the large salaries of the upper middle class and the wealthy!! Surprise, surprise!!!! 8- Hong Kong, heavy exporter and center of international banking. 9-Switzerland, international banking and investment for wealthy businessmen and retirees. 10- Netherlands, a very liberal, social policy and a free economy. Wow! Some of these countries are very tiny, and unheard of, I think, until now! I can see Swizerland because of the wealthy people hiding their money there. Sigh! I wish I have that much money too, to hide it in the Swiss Alps!!! Ha! Ha! Ha! You are sooo crazy!!! Kuwait...I can see why because of the oil! Isn't the United States rich in oil also??? The government just does not want to drill it!!! What are they waiting for??? I was going to say Christmas, but it is fast approaching!!! You are nincompoop!!! Oh, well. How about Netherlands? How did they manage to be on the list. Maybe it also has to do with their beautiful tulips and I heard that there is a real Moulin Rouge in Amsterdam where there are many ladies freely walking all over the place, that women from other countries might be scared to tread on, but the guys will really be happy to go to!!! Comments, anyone???

George Soros, an American stock trader and philanthropist that Glenn Beck has been focusing on. Beck claims that Soros is the mastermind of the New World Order and gives money to the person who can be his dummy in the government of a country so his agenda will succeed!!! I also heard that our president had Soros backing him so he won the election!!! Is this true, anyone??? Soros is trying to dominate the world!! Do you want to dominate the whole world?? Well, personally, no!!! I do not want to have a lot of gray hair on me! Just look at Soros and his head of hair!!!Yikes!!! It is all white!!! He seems to be very old!!! And he is still very ambitious??? My! My! My! I wonder if he is married and have kids?? Why?? I was just wondering if they will take over his agenda when he pass away!!! After all, he is not a young horse!! Ouch!!! But filthy rich!!! I hope if he has a family, that his family has Christiam values!!! What do I think of all this?? I think it might be true! And the New World Order is not new. I read about it in the 90's, and it is only surfacing now. Why?? Who knows??? Nobody thought at that time that it is feasible , and evryone is busy trying to accumulate more money!!! Now, the tune has changed to hopelessness by people with regards to unemployment, housing, etc...etc. that is why people have more time to think and see the real picture nowadays of their surroundings!!! Right??? I just hope and pray that we are not nearing the fruition of this New World Order! Any comments, anyone???

FEMA( Federal Emergency Management Agency) concentration camps, which is over 800 nationwide. It is run by the government in a program called REX 84, Readiness Exercise 84. It is fully operational and ready to receive prisoners should the United States government institute a martial law! There are 2 subprograms: operation cable splicer, to control population and Garden Plot. Is this why the government is trying to pass a bill to regulate our gardening in our backyards?? Majority of the detention camps can house 20,000 prisoners, with the biggest one outside Fairbanks, Alaska that can hold 2 million people!!! With the big uproar of the TSA's screening and groping, are these concentration camps for the people that does not want to do what the perverts in Washington wants to do with the flying people??? Heaven forbids!!! Please do not put ideas in their hollow heads!!! It is bad enough as is!!! Okay! On the other hand, is this in preparation for the New World Order or the One World government?? Maybe!!! Do you think this will happen in the very near future??? It does not matter when this will happen, but it will not be a pretty sight for everyone!!! I hope and pray that all of these are just a bunch of bull crap!!! Comments, anyone???

My gosh! all you talk about is doom and gloom, not only to us but the whole world!!! Anything else that you forgot to mention??? I think that is all for now. I will let you digest all of these and see if you can believe it or not.

Let us all pray harder that God will spare all of the people on earth with the scheming of egotistical, selfish few that wants to rule the earth!

May God bless America and all of us!!

Survivor - Nicaragua, 11172010

The survivors are changing their alliances!!! What do you mean? And which survivors are changing??? NaOnka, for one. She used to be Brenda's best friend. Now, she is working against her!!! How about Sash?? He only used Brenda. Didn't you see that he was chummy with Marty before he left??? You cannot trust NaOnka and Sash!!!! How about Chase??? I think Brenda had Chase wrapped around her little pinky!!!! He will do anything to get back with Brenda!!! He wished!!! I do not think Brenda really likes him!!! Brenda seems to be arrogant, with a high and mighty attitude!!! Those attitudes will get you nowhere in life, let alone the survivor drama!!!!

The reward challenge was a simple one... the team's had to go across using 4 barrels and slabs of wood. If one of the teammate touches the ground, they have to go back to the starting point!!! See how easy that was!!! Ya! Right!!! The winning team, the Blue team, consisting of Fabio, NaOnka, Jane, Purple Kelly and Chase went to Cerro Negro by helicopter. Cerro Negro is one of the most active volcanoes in the world. There, they did a volcano sledding and had a pizza, brownie and pop feast! The losing team went back to camp, only to see their camp and food burned down to ash!!! Whose brainchild was this...to move the fire closer to their shelter??? None other than the nincompoop, Fabio!!!

How about the immunity challenge??? Wow!!! An older lady winning against the healthy, young guys!!! Who am I talking about??? None other than Jane!!! It sure was a physical challenge! I do not know how she did it!! It consist of standing on a small platform over a pool, holding on to a rope and leaning backwards! They have to keep moving down the rope every few minutes!!! She sure has the strength and endurance!!!! A very impressive feat!!! An old lady prevailed against the wimpy, young guys!!! Good for you Jane!!!!

What about the Tribal Council??? Brenda Lowe was a very proud survivor who saw herself in a very big hole!!! Even Sash, her co-conspirator did not save her with his immunity idol!!! Chase, her puppy dog did not save her either!!! Almost everyone voted for Brsnda except Purple Kelly who voted for Benry!!! Oh, ya, baby!!! Purple Kelly is on a league by herself!!!!

Who will be the next one to be eliminated??? Not NaOnka and Sash, who each has an immunity idol!!! Will Chase get the wrath of the survivors for telling Brenda about their plan with her?? How about Dan?? He is sooo quiet, that if he and Jane ends up as the final 2, he might win the million dollars!!!!

Undercover Boss - Lucky Strike Lanes, 11142010

The featured Undercover Boss in this episode is the CEO and co-founder of Lucky Strike Lanes, a bowling entertainment center in the United States and Canada. He is 61 year old Steven Foster from Burbank,California, a graduate of Boston University Law School. This is one undercover boss that seems to cry a lot. A very emotional guy who seemed to be very attached to his late mother! His first venture was Jillian's, a pool parlor/ bowling alley that filed for bankruptcy in 2004. So, he already has a business experience that will make his second venture successful!!!

Lucky Strike Lanes opened its first location in 2003, and has spread to 20 locations across the United States and Canada. What is different with this bowling place?? It is an upscale club with gourmet food and luxurious lounges frequented by celebrities in Los Angeles and New York!

His first task was bartending with Devin, a young, energetic guy with roller skates on his shoes! He is like the kids rolling down the corridors!!! When I saw his shoes, I was really laughing!!! Whoa!!! What an enthusiastic guy!!! Foster puts on a giant bowling pin costume and went out on the street. He was having fun with his new role!!! As a result, he will be wearing the costume once a week for therapy!!! Was Foster good with his bartending?? Of course not!!! He was putting too much alcohol in the glasses!!! What is wrong with that?? Sigh!! Do I have to spell it out to you??? Yup!!! Okay, then! The customers will really be very happy, but the management will not be happy because it will cut down on their profit per bottle!!!! Got it??? Foster was so impressed with Devin that he will pick up the tab for Devin and father's vacation! Devin will also be in charge of a national campaign to include Mr.Pin and a bowling ball buddy for Mr.Pin!!!

His next adventure was with Angel, a machine technician, in West Nyack, New York. Wow!! That seems like hard work going through the machines of the bowling alley. And it seems that if you are not careful, your hands or even your body will have an accident!!! Foster found out that Angel have a daughter and a granddaughter. Foster gave Angel $10,000 for his daughter's education, gave him a raise and a new job - Head Mechanic! Angel also will be given extra pay for organizing a bowling league!!! How about that???

Next job was in the control room with Jermaine in Houston, Texas. Jermaine has only been with the company for 6 weeks, in charge of reservations and make sure the lanes are smoothly going on. Jermaine is also studying computer science, used to be a graphic designer and have a son born blind. What did Jermaine received from Foster?? He will work with the systems operator, and design a tee shirt, to which a portion of the sale will go to Jermaine's son!!! That is incredible!!!

His last stop was in Manhattan with Brianna,a waitress, at their most successful spot. Brianna has been very busy every night serving hundreds of people. Was Foster good as a waiter??? No!!! He dumped a tray of drinks in front of the customers!!! Ha!Ha! Ha! What a clumsy guy!!! He found out that the breakroom for staff is outside the kitchen on a window ledge!!! Wow!!! The staff nust be really good and have not complained!!! During Foster's talk with Brianna, he learned that she went back to her mother's house after her mother's divorce, and Brianna would like to open a day care center in the house! Foster gave $10,000 to Brianna to develop her day care center, a new breakroom and in charge of a new children's program called Bowling with Bri!!!

As usual, like in the other undercover boss program, only a few gets lucky!!! The CEO'S should also give rewards to all, not only to the chosen ones!! You will probably say, " Tough, these people were chosen to be with the big boss!" I wonder what was the criteria for selecting the employees that will train the CEO's??? That is good with the few lucky ones, but I think each and everyone of the staff should get something from the big boss!!! What do you think??? Any comments???

Dancing With The Stars, 11152010

Dancing With The Stars is down to 4 semi-finalists: Brandy Norwood and Maksim Chmerkovskiy, Jennifer Grey and Derek Hough, Bristol Palin and Mark Ballas, and Kyle Massey and Lacey Schwimmer. Who was eliminated? You have to wait for a second.

The episode consists of 2 rounds. In the first round, Brandy and Maksim danced the Paso doble where they earned a score of 27; Jennifer and Derek danced the Cha-Cha where they received a score of 30. Jennifer really looked good at her age!!! And her dancing was unbelievable considering that she has many things wrong with her body!!! The next team was Bristol and Mark with their Paso doble. Wow!! Bristol was very impressive with her dance!!! Where did she get those dance move??? Their score??? 27!!! The last team to perform was Kyle and Lacey with their Samba. Kyle can really move even though his body is not thin!! He is such an entertainer! Score?? 29!!!

In the second round, Brandy and Maksim did the Tango, earning a perfect score of 30! Jennifer and Derek did the waltz which earned them a perfect score of 30. Again!!! Bristol and Mark was next with their ok waltz, earning them a score of 26. Kyle and Lacey did an Argentine Tango and they earned a score of 29!!! What is wrong with Len?? Why can't he give Kyle a score of 10??? Who knows??? Comments, anyone???

There was quite a bit of focus on the screen with Sarah Palin. Why??? She is really the celebrity in the DWTS!!! How come the other parents are not fussed that much??? You do not know why??? I think you know why, and I am not going to spell it to you!!! Ha! Ha!

The performers for the evening were Annie Lennox and Enrique Iglesias. Who cares about the performers??? Oh, oh... We just want to know who will be eliminated so we will know who is going to be the 3 finalists!!! Do you want to bet who will be eliminated??? No, because I really do not have the slightest clue!!! On the other hand, I thought for sure that Bristol and Mark will be eliminated!!! That is what you think!!! Wrong thinking!!!

Brandy and Maksim were eliminated!!!! You should have seen Derek's mouth when Brandy and Maksim's names were announced!!! A whole elephant could have gone into his mouth!!!! Ha! Ha! Ha! His mouth was sooooo wide open!!! Derek was totally shocked!!!! And so with Brandy and Maksim!!! Does that mean that Bristol and Mark have more fans than Brandy and Maksim??? Probably!!! And it probably was to teach Maksim a lesson about his mad encounter with Carrie Ann Inaba!!! It might also be Mama Palin's big influence with the voting public!!! Take your pick for the reason or reasons!!! Any comments???

Who will win?? Sad to say, but I think Brandy and Maksim are sore losers!!! They were predicting Kyle to win!!! Come on...these 2 know that Jennifer and Derek are the best dancers of the 3 teams. Why did they not pick Jennifer and Derek??? They were just upset that they were not in the finals!!! You two should have rallied all of your friends to have voted for you!!!! It has happened before in the past DWTS, that a very good dancer was eliminated because they did not have enough votes outside. Sorry, Brandy and Maksim, get on with your lives and stop whining!!! You guys are terrible losers!!! Just be happy for the three teams remaining!!!!

Who will win??? Jennifer and Derek unless they screw their dances on the finals!!!!
