HAPPY NEW YEAR, 2015

We just have a few hours before 2014 comes to an end, and we usher in 2015, a new year. Everyone all over the world are anticipating the dawning of a new year that will be better than last year. For some..a better job, a better home, and for others, maybe...better finances, reconciliation with others, just to name a few.

What do I hope and pray for 2015? First of all, I hope for PEACE, not only here in the United States , but the whole world. How do we accomplish that? Any suggestions or comments? I believe that everyone should ask God's help by praying. Prayers really help, and if all of us pray, then maybe, God will have mercy and grant us peace.

The next thing I hope for 2015...cessation of abortion here and abroad. I just hope and pray that people will realize that abortion is not a good thing, killing helpless babies.

Another thing I hope for is for the people to go back to God. We eliminated Him from our schools, public places and our lives. See what is going on around us....need I say more? Our country will be a better place if we put Him back in our lives.

There are other things I hope and pray for 2015 for myself, everyone, and the world, but it will be very long that before I know it, we have already welcomed 2015, so I will stop.

What do you hope and pray for 2015?

Wishing all a safe, happy, healthy, prosperous and blessed New Year!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!

40 DAYS FASTING BEFORE CHRISTMAS DECEMBER 19, 2014

Wow! My 40 days fasting from meat, eggs, dairy products ( including cheese ) before Christmas will soon come to an end on December 24th. I could not believe I have lasted this long without meat, eggs and dairy products. It was not too hard fasting from meat but not with cheese and milk. Almond milk cannot replace the real milk, as far as I am concern. I found out too that I can resist the temptation. Why do I say that? One time, I woke up with the smell of bacon, and when I saw the plate of bacon, I took the plate...just brought the plate of bacon close to my nose, sniffed it ( like a dog! Ha! Ha! Ha!), and put it down without even touching it! I did really good!

Hummus, pita bread, garlic sauce, almond milk, pasta, and margarine  have been my best friend for the last 19 days! I even learned how to make a cake with no eggs, and it turned really, really good! I learned what to substitute the eggs with and I was really susprised how yummy the cake was. Can you believe I made it twice already, but the cake was different from the first time since I tried a different formula for the egg substitute the second time. Nevertheless, it was still delicious!!!

Did I lose some weight on my journey? Not really, since I was able to find junk food that conforms to the fasting. Did you know that? And besides, I have been eating a lot of carbohydrates, bread, pasta, rice and  potatoes.

I was able to eat and taste vegetables that I did not know exist, like kale and Swiss chard. Did you know that you can make kale chips. I did not know that until my journey.

What a journey this is! Will I do it again? Maybe, and maybe the second time around, I can eat better and not just carbohydrates!

DECEMBER 1, 2014

I was just informed by twitter that today is my 4th twitterversary....wow! Time flies when you have fun! Hip! Hip! Hooray! Does that make me an expert on tweets? An expert on social media? Of course not! It is really amazing how I was able to do tweeting with my pecking on the keyboard...of course I can do it with tweets, after all, one is only allowed 140 words!

Can you believe it is already December 1st? We have 24 more days until Christmas, and I have 24 more days until I can eat again meat and dairy products. Why? It is a 40 days fast from meat and dairy products ( and that includes cheese, butter etc...) in preparation for Christmas, the same as in Lent. I tell you, being a meat, cheese, egg and butter lover, it is very hard to stick to it. I'm almost tempted when I see scrambled eggs, sausage, steak and other delicious meat dishes in front of me. I hope I can last with the abstinence for 24 more days!

Have a great day, everyone! May God bless all of us!!!

DORITOS " BEAM ME UP" COMMERCIAL NOVEMBER 7, 2014

I really like the DORITOS " BEAM ME UP" commercial with the following link below.  Please rate it with a 5 so they will have a chance in the competition. Hmmm.....you like it because they are your relatives! Ha! Ha! Ha!  That is right...but it is funny, hilarious and catchy. The actors were really good....the " alien princess" is very pretty and the actor is really good! Look at their expressions!!! The crunch emanating from the actor while eating the Doritos is soooo inviting... I want to eat Doritos now! I almost fell out of my chair when the "alien princess" came for more Doritos and not for him. Poor fellow, he is sooo much in love of the " alien princess," that he is willing to make a fool of himself and dressed up into a bag of Doritos! It deserves a BIG " 5."    See for yourself.....

DANCING WITH THE STARS OCTOBER 27, 2014

Dancing With The Stars last night's theme was Halloween. Did it live up to your expectations?  Yes, it did! The dances and costumes were really fantastic! Seems like Halloween is getting bigger and bigger every year...people are obsessed with it more. Why? Maybe, because for once a year, someone can dressed  into something they fantasize about without being ridiculed? Retailers are also having a field day selling the costumes and candies! Wait....why are you talking about Halloween?  Isn't your topic " Dancing With The Stars?"  You are right!  Sorry, I just could not resist. Back to the show.....

What can I say? Nothing much to say......Julianne Hough is again gorgeous with her outfit and hair. It is Ryan Seacrest's loss! What the heck? Why mention Ryan? You are a nincompoop! Sorry, Julianne...could not resist. LOL. Erin Andrews is stunning with her black outfit and hair. Ha! Ha! Ha! They got you....nothing to criticize! Hopefully, Erin will not take another break. If she does, hopefully they will get Brooke Burke or somebody else besides Leah Remini!

Len Goodman is back!!  Welcome back, Len! Did you miss him? A little....just a little?  Never mind!  Yes, I miss his accent and his merry old remarks!  Old? Yes!  Merry? No way, Jose!!! How about cranky???  Do you want me to answer that?  On second thought, never mind! I like him better than the guest judges they have while he was gone!

Let's see..Julianne Hough as a judge...I think she is getting confident with her judging.  I have a question though, is it not hard or awkward to judge your brother?  Is it hard to ignore the fact that he is your brother and not just a contestant? Sorry, Julianne, I know that you are a good judge and try to be as fair a judge to all, but I cannot resist to wonder sometimes.  I also wonder what Derek thinks about this...does it push him harder so the people will not say anything about a judge being his sister?  I saw the expression on Derek's face when Julianne critic him and partner. I was holding my breath of what score she will give them.  I'm so glad she gave Derek and partner the score they deserve!  Sorry guys, it is just an opinion.  On the other hand, you both are lovely people, very energetic and very accomplished dancers....Derek can continue dancing with Julianne as one of the judges. You said it....One of the judges....she is not the only judge...I would worry if she was the only judge! Got it?  I rest my case!  Keep up the good work, Julianne and Derek!  Enough of this.....

Antonio Sabato Jr and Cheryl Burke were eliminated on this episode. Bye....Antonio must have less fans than the others on the show. Why do you say that? Do you think that someone else should have been eliminated? IDK....yikes! You are into a different lingo now...WTH!  LOL.  TNT......Please explain...OK.
IDK...I DON'T KNOW;  WTH....WHAT THE HECK;  LOL...LAUGH OUT LOUD;  TNT....TILL NEXT TIME; OK....OKAY.   Hmmmmm.....

That's all for now, folks....have a safe, happy and blessed day....

TELEVISION SHOWS OCTOBER 20, 2014

How did you all like Dancing With The Stars last night?  Was the right person booted out?  How was the guest judge? Were the dancing and costumes measured to your expectations? My gosh! You are asking a lot of questions! Oooooppppssss....sorry...But wait...this is a free country, so I can ask many, many questions is it not? I rest my case! Ha! Ha!

Let us start with the guest host.  Uh! Oh!  Who?  Leah Remini!  What about her?  I do not think she should have been the host. Why?  She is rough or coarse, whatever you want to call it.  She does not have the finesse that Erin Andrews or Brooke Burke have. She was hitting the professional dancer, Derrick Hough, all over the place with her microphone.  Plus I saw her in the previous episode while she was a contestant. Why did they not take Brooke back as the guest host?  She and Tom Bergeron were really good together. Where was Erin?  In Kansas City covering the World series! Did you miss her? Booo..hoo... here's some tissues....

The judges.....Julianne Hough and Carrie Ann Inaba were looking glamorous as always!  Julianne....thumbs up to your dress! Simple is good! By the way, nice back!  I could not believe that Carrie Ann spank Alfonso Ribiero 10 times!!!  Did you get a thrill, Carrie Ann?  Sorry, I could not resist....she must have been really impressed with his dancing to get this reaction from her. I can see that especially after he had injury on his groin ( is it really the groin, or something else? Ha! Ha! Ha! ). I am sorry Alfonso, I am not laughing AT you, I am laughing WITH you! I hope you get better soon!  Pitbull, the singing sensation.. the guest judge....was he made into a judge so they do nat have to pay him and be a guest singer? I just thought about that. A guest singer and a guest judge... why not? Or was he paid on both counts? What is it to you? You are not the one paying, the commercials does! And speaking of commercials, it seems that there are more commercials now than ever!  Anyway, I guess he is an okay judge also.

Jonathan Bennett/ Allison Holker on week 6 were booted out. I will miss his face with his large eyes popping on the screen every now and then. I did not think he was the worst dancer on the show. He must have lesser followers that the other celebrities!

The VOICE   OCTOBER 20, 2014

The judges continue on their quest for the most talented singers on the show.  They stole some singers that they thought should have a second chance. Is this a gimmick on the judges side....selecting the least talented so both of their singers will have a chance to stay? Hold on missy, both of the singers have equal talent, but the judges can only choose one.  That is what I am saying, the judges knew that both are talented, but they do not want to let them go....so they pick the lesser artist so the other artist can stay. That is my observation of the show and the judges. The 4 judges, Gwen Stefani, Adam Levine, Blake Shelton, and Pharell Williams seem to be getting along fine and I admire them for their keen ears for beauty and perfection of the contestants voices.

That's all folks....have a safe and blessed day....

ROSARY RALLY OCTOBER 11, 2014

The Rosary Rally ( cordinated nationally by America Needs Fatima )  held on October 11, 2014 was a huge success! Hip! Hip! Hooray! We joined 12, 629 rallies across the United States praying for America and the whole world. Please note that the 2015 Rosary Rally will be held on October 10, 2015...goal: 14,000!
The weather was nice and sunny, although a little bit cold and windy. All the participants were very happy, friendly and enthusiastic. We sang, prayed and recited the Joyful and Glorious mysteries. It was truly an honorto be a part of this exciting event every year. I cannot believe that it has been eight years, since 2007! Some of the participants have been going since the beginning.....rain, snow or sleet! One even told me that she was supposed to have an operation that week, she postponed it just to be with us!! Another one was supposed to have another appointment but chose to be with us instead! I am sure that God and the Blessed Mother really appreciates them in their commitment to the Rosary Rally! I appreciate all the rally participants and cannot thank them enough for being faithful to this cause.
Everyone lingered a little bit in the park after the prayers and we all mingled with each other. It was truly a glorious and a blessed day for all of the rally participants. We all enjoyed each others company and left feeling blessed!!
Thank you all again for participating and God willing, I hope to see you all next year!!! God bless you all!!
Pray for world peace!
God bless America and the whole world!!

TELEVISION SHOWS OCTOBER 14, 2014

DANCING WITH THE STARS  10142014

Last night's Dancing With The Stars was again entertaining and really fantastic!  Did I expect it to be less than exciting?  Of course not!  It is one of the shows that is always filled with glamorous people, glamorous outfits, scantilly clad women and bare chested men! Woo...hooo....so you are drawn to the bare chested men???  No!  It is purely entertainment.

The contestants and professional dancers were really good last night especially Alfonso Ribeiro. I will not be surprised if he wins the trophy! There is a couple ( Janel and Artem)  that was too sexy for me though, their burlesque dance was too much! I do not know why they danced this way.  I'm glad that their scores were low! Uh! oh! What do you mean? Too sexy for you? That does not belong to a primetime television how!  Enough for this.

Sadie Robertson, Duck Dynasty star, danced with Derek Hough in the Great Gatsby theme. Sadie is very graceful with her long limbs. She is very young and young people usually can adapt to anything! Iss that true?  Of course, it is true!

Erin Andrews was stunning in her black dress and so with Julianne Hough. I like Julianne with her simple looks and outfit. No more ooompha chest, Julianne? Or am I the only one that like her simple outfits?

Carrie Anne Inaba was a beauty last night with her outfit and hair! Kudos to you, Carrie Ann!  There was a guest judge, Jessie J, an award winning pop singer. She is an okay judge, better than the comedian from before. I think she is more in the reality of judging, shown by her scores, which is more in sync with the other judges.

What are you? Seems you are singling Dancing With The Stars. Are you not going to write on other shows? Maybe. Let me think......

THE VOICE  10142014

I think THE VOICE is better than the other singing competition.  It seems that there are better singers in this conmpetion.

The judges are great.....Blake Shelton and Adam Levine who have been judges since the beginning of THE VOICE!  I was surprised that Pharell Williams is kind of mellow. How many hats does he have, I wonder???  Gwen Stefani is fun to watch. I cannot believe that she can climb the chair and get up in the back without falling ( from an earlier show). Her clothes does not seem to be pretentious like other singers. She seemed to be a different person with her straight hair. With her curly hair, at first glance, she reminds me of  Madonna. Do you agree with me? Oh, well. It seems the four judges get along well. Should it be that way? Yes, but I have seen other shows where the judges are bickering!

That is all for now folks. Have a great day!

TV SHOW 10062014

Hi!  It's me again!  Back so soon?  What do you mean...it has been a week...did you miss me?  Well....never mind... do not answer....Are you ready? Let's start.....

DANCING WITH STARS.....

It was a nice show, as usual, with Julianne Hough looking gorgeous as ever, minus her "thingies." I was also glad that they do not have a guest judge that do not know how to score ballroom dancing. And do you think the home viewers know how to score? Home viewers at home were the fourth judge since Len Goodman is still out. Do not look at me, I did not cast a single vote since I am not a ballroom dancer! Tell the other viewers who voted! Well, let me see, probably it is the same criteria the home viewers used, the same as the previous judge.

Did the show booted the right person? Let me see. Betsey Johnson/ Tony Dovolani was voted off this week. I think that is right.  Although Betsey is physically fit and performed a nice jive, she is a nice choice to go, even though she can really do fantastic splits at such age. I really applaud her and in awe that she can do that!! Hip! Hip! Hooray! Betsey!!! Wooo...hooo....Which leaves me to ask, why do they keep on having " mature" contestants in Dancing with the Stars? They will never win since they do not have the grace and limber body to compete with the younger generation!  What are you saying? Should they have Oldies Dancing With the Stars? It might be boring, unless they find some oldies that have been dancing all their life and can still move like Derek Hough and Julianne Hough! Oh, Oh, do not give them any ideas!

How about the other dancers? Jonathan Bennett/Allison Hooker.....Everytime I see Jonathan, he makes me crack up! Why? His eyes!!!  His eyes become sooo big and it seems he is always in awe at everything! Watch him  and his reactions....Enough for now with the stars...Oh, oh, I can see something brewing on your mind....

Erin Andrews, the host. What about her? She is gorgeous, tall and skinny! There! Nothing to talk about her! Well, yes, there is...her dress!  She looks fantastic in it. Yes, she does! But...how come it looks like, even though she is skinny, you can see her back is like a caterpillar. And below her waist, the dress has a little bulge.....did you not see it? I was really surprised and cannot believe it myself! Well, well, well..are you not a  little bit too critical? I can also see a caterpillar on you! Well, sorry to burst your bubble, but I am not in the limelight, so who cares about me? I rest my case..Ha! Ha! Ha!  You have a point....

That's all for now, folks....have a safe and happy week....

DANCING WITH THE STARS 09302014

Last night's Dancing with the Stars was so much fun to watch, the theme was movie night. I watched not only  because of the the dancing, the star studded show, professional dancers, the costumes but also because of the judges. Why the judges? Because of Julianne Hough this year. She was bestowed of two gigantic melons on the first show, but last night she was just a gorgeous human being without the giant things on her breasts! I was wondering what happened to her " well endowed thingie"? It was gone last night! How did she do that? Abracadabra...and it is gone? Wow! I guess that is show business for you. I really liked her look last night....really beautiful....her dress was amazing and she really looked amazing! Her hair was really amazing too! Whoever did it did a great job and enhanced her face. Her overall appearance: Simple but elegant!

Now, they have a guest judge....a comedian....I think he should just stick to being a comedian and stop being a judge on a dance show. I do not think he really knows how to judge.....giving high marks to people that I think did not deserve it! On the other hand, the producers might have taken him so the audience can see how a comedian scores in a dancing competition! Oh well, that is just my 2 cents worth of observation.

How about the other two judges? They are fine. Inaba looks nice all the time and she has a different beauty than Julianne. I have not seen her yet act as crazy as before on the previous shows. Bruno is still Bruno. I thought he will give a low score on the dancers when he was not able to critic them. Boy! Was I wrong! He managed to keep his cool and gave them a cool score like the rest of the judges.

Overall, it was a very good show last night. Would I watch it next week? You bet!!!

TELEVISION SHOWS SEPTEMBER 18, 2014

We all love our television shows, is it not?  We are glued watching it every night ( or day?).  Why? We get to laugh, be entertained etc and we forget all what is going on around us and around the world. But I am not here today to talk about that, I am here to talk about the TV shows!  I also watch it and get entertained but I still know what is going on around me. Oh, my! Here she goes again...no lectures please!  Alright, back to what I am saying....let us start.....

AMERICA'S GOT TALENT.....we saw last night the crowning of the winner of the show, season 9,  an illusionist...Mat Franco who started with his love for magic at a very young age of 4, per her grandmother. When I first saw Mat Franco, I thought he was a comedian. He did not look like a magician to me. Oh, Oh, Why? How does a magician look? He does not look somber or serious to me, he seems to be more of a comedian type face, hard to explain. Anyway, his magic tricks are really good and clean. He deserved to win the one million dollar prize money and headlining his own show at Las Vegas.

The runner up was Emily West, a sexy country singer who I thought was a favorite of one of the judges, Howard Stern. He probably thought she was really hot and pretty. Sorry, Howard, you are married to a beautiful lady! Why did Emily chose Cyndi Lauper for her duet?  No offense, Cyndi Lauper, you are a talented artist but I think Emily chose the wrong person to sing with! Would that had caused her the win? Maybe, maybe not. Who knows?

The favorite of the show was Quintavious, a 12 year old singer who landed in fifth place. He wowed the audience everytime he is on stage, but the icing on the cake for him was when he had the duet last night with Jennifer Hudson. He did good in his pick of  who to sing with! Wow! He really held his own along side the grammy winner and star. Too bad, he did not get a lot of votes. Will he be following the footsteps of Michael Jackson to stardom?  He can really, really sing and he will go places in the music industry!

I really think that the one who stole the show last night was Nick Cannon with his glittering shoes and watch full of bling! Flaunt it, if you have it, right Nick?

NEXT.... DANCING WITH THE STARS......Jullianne Hough, the new judge....Jullianne...what did you do...soooo big, it looks ridiculous! I forgot...you are now a movie star. Then, will you able to still dance and carry them? I bet it will be a little hard! I hope it does not give you back trouble. You are sooo beautiful and sexy already that you really did not need two melons on your chest!!! Sigh...that is what Hollywood does to women. Oh, well.

How about the contestants? Lolo! My! My! My! You need to check your attitude problem! I was sooo glad and happy that you were eliminated!  Good riddance!!

Well, folks, this is all for now....have a great day!!!

JUST PLAIN TALK March 19, 2014

Just came back from Kroger today...prices on some items have gone up...do you think it's because the value of the dollar has gone down? Maybe. I just read today that China started to trade with another country in yuan, not in dollars. Shredded cheese, Kroger brand on sale is now $2.59 for an 8 oz package; cost of spam went up also to $2.69. Who cares about spam? I do, it's easy to fix & eat. Don't they serve that in restaurants in Hawaii? Yes, they do.  But there are certainly good buys in Kroger today, e.g., beef ( chuck pot roast) is buy one get one free. This is really a great price!; Keurig caribou kcup ( 12 ) is $6.99 ( previously $8.99), a very good buy; some green mountain kcup is also on sale at $6.99, a really good price. Hilshire polska kielbasa is 2 for $4.00. There might be other items on sale that I did not see since I was in a hurry. Sale ends on Sunday 3/22.
Other stop was an Asian store, double dragon rice 20 lbs was $19.99 which was $12.99 before; kyongi rice 40 lbs was $24.99 which was $19.99 before. I do not know if I am the only one that is griping about prices...packages of items are getting smaller & prices are going up. One can easily spend $ 50 nowadays with only one or two items! Yikes!!! What can we do? Anyone??
Another thing that has gone up is medicine, I did not have a copay before Obamacare on generic but now, AFTER OBAMACARE,  it is $19.25 for a 90 day supply! Premiums also has doubled and the benefits are not that great..high copay, etc...Isn't that ironic...the affordable care is not affordable....why do the politicians call it affordable, perhaps they do not know what the word " affordable" means? For them, it might be affordable since they are millionaires but for ordinary folks like me, it is outrageous and insane!! So, what will people do...buy food or buy medicine? Goodness gracious!!! I hope and pray that Obamacare will be repealed!!!
What is going on?
....High prices on food, gas, healthcare.
....High unemployment
....US dollars devalued
....Crazy weather all over
I can enumerate other things but I think I might run out of space, so I will stop now. I just hope and pray that things will get better...am I being overly optimistic? Probably...you guys tell me...I think I am done for now....
Let us all pray for world peace. May God bless each and everyone of us!!!!
