America's Got Talent, 06082010

Have you seen last night's episode of America's Got Talent? There were several performances that was well worth the time to be a couch potato! Really?? Really!!

The auditions were held in Dallas and New York. As usual there were really super performances, dangerous acts, hilarious acts, risque acts and stupid acts. Name the gigs, and you would have found it on America's Got Talent!!!!

Nick Cannon, as usual, is the kid emcee who is a goofball. What do you mean kid emcee? He is not a kid, he is already a mature person! I know! In fact he is married to Mariah Carey! What did Mariah saw in him? His goofy side!!! I wouldn't be surprised if that was the reason that Mariah married him! He has so much sense of humor!!! Enough of Mariah! Let us go back to Nick....Do not get me wrong, when I say goofball, I mean it in a good way. Perhaps I should have said, he was entertaining on the sideline!!!

How about the judges?? I think Piers Morgan had mellowed ever since he came back from the Apprentice!!! What do you mean mellowed? I think that he cannot put his 2 cents worth because Howie is always blabbing!!! Howie is stealing the show from Piers and Sharon!!! Howie is sooo amusing on the show! When the two judges would like the performance to stop, he wanted it to continue so he can still see what the person is going to do! He is soooo curious, like the guy who set his genitals on fire!! How disgusting and stupid!!! Of course, the cameras blocked it for the television audience!!!! But Howie was really amused!!! I do not blame him, he is having sooo much fun! He is not as uptight as Piers Morgan!! Piers, lighten up a little bit, will you???

How about the acts? There was this one so called magician. His assistant went inside the compartment. The magician thrust the swords in the compartment. You can see that the sword was being moved inside!!!! That was so lame! Magic, indeed! He! He! He! Did he think he can fool the audience and the judges??? No, siree!!! How about the burlesque performances with one of the ladies being topless at the end??? Her top was just covered by the hands of the other performers!!! On this performance, Piers smiled!!!! Wow!! Now, we know how you can get a smile from him!!!! How about the lady that was going around and around with swords? That was sooo funny! Why? The judges had to duck while she was performing!!! The lady is blind on the left eye!!! And the judges let her through to the next round!!!! They must really have gone crazy!!!! Then there was a street vendor from New York that is an illusionist who worked with fire. The skeleton was on fire, he closed the lid and when he opened it, presto! a woman emerged! How about the guy that has several day jobs who sang Figaro. He was garbed as a Prince. When he opened his mouth, it was pure magic!!! He is an operatic singer!!!! My, my, my... Very, very impressive!!! And the guy with not one but four harmonicas??? He was awesome!!!! The 18 year old that was soo nervous?? He too has a good talent!! What beat them all is the Fighting Gravity Act!!

The Fighting Gravity act was really neat and awesome, performed in the dark!!! The gravity defying performance involves yellow neon balls and people flying in the air! I thought that when they were performing that the four guys have a string from the top which was helping them fly! Little did we know that there were more than 4 guys in the act!!! The rest who were invisible were doing all the heavy lifting making the balls and the men float in the air!!! Why were they invisible??? They were wearing black!!! These college students made up mostly of engineering and business majors are really ingenious!!! It was magical during the performance, but when the lights came on, the secret came out!!! Nevertheless, they are the next best thing to the Blue Man group!!!

I felt sorry for the last act, a comedian. There were already 4 previous comedians that the audience tore apart, so when he started, the audience were hard on him! I felt sooo sorry for him. I was thinking that he will be another one that will be saying bye...bye... Lo and behold, he kept on fighting back with the audience!!!! He did not stop!!! At the end, the rude crowd stopped!!! Wowie!!! You should have seen him turn it around!!! The audience loved him!!! How about that??? The merciless crowd found someone that cannot be beaten!!!! It was not the jokes that he forgot, but just the words that came out impromptu from his mouth that he hurled left and right to the crowd!! After all, he had the tenacity and balls to continue amid their protests and booing!! Good for him!!!! He got the audience tamed and subdued!!! How about that??? At this point, we should have called the show, " The Taming of the Wild and Unruly Crowd!" Sounds good??? Did he make it to the next round??? Of course he did!!! Good job!!!

What do you think??? It is indeed entertaining, funny and there is a certain edge to some of the acts. I cannot wait to see more next week!!!!!
