It is Survivor time! Another survivor was voted off unanimously! How? Because of his reamarks at the tribal council! He was the only one that admitted that he was the weakest of the tribe members! Whoa!!!! Was he really trying to dig his own grave?? Maybe, or maybe he wants to leave already!!!
The challenge for this episode was both for the reward and immunity. It was tossing sandbags onto barrels which people had to retrieve from a field. La Flor, the young survivors did not use the Medallion of Power for the challenge. They were so confident that they did not need it to win! Were they right??? Yes, they were!
The reward was a fruit basket where Kelly Bruno saw at the bottom of the basket a clue to the immunity idol. Why did she not take it then? Who knows?? NaOnka Mixon sees it too, and helps Kelly carry the basket. All of a sudden, NaOnka pushes Kelly B, wrestles her and grab the clue! Whew!! That was such a dirty move fom NaOnka! Gee whiz, NaOnka, that is not good!!!! The rest of the survivors were so surprised and upset because the fruits were smashed as a result of NaOnka's sudden movement against Kelly! Why did she just not share the clue with poor Kelly? NaOnka is really mean, she does not even pity Kelly B who has a prosthetic leg! NaOnka decided to share the clue with Brenda Lowe and they tried to figure out where the immunity idol might be hidden!
Meanwhile in the Espada tribe, Marty Piombo was trying to get rid of Jimmy Johnson. Not everyone liked the idea since Jimmy stepped up to the plate of leading the group and fishing for food. Some tribe members see Dan Lembo as the weakest among the tribe members.
During the tribal council, Jeff Probst asks all the members of the Espada one at a time if they are the weakest. Everyone said no except Jimmy Johnson! Wow! Jimmy, what were you thinking?? You created your own grave! My! My! My! Did he do this so he could go home? He is the oldest in the group, 67 years old, and he said that Survivor is harder that football! I was also thinking that it is already football season... is it not time for him to go back on television???
Needless to say, Jimmy Johnson, head coach of Super Bowl champions, the Dallas Cowboys, was the third person to go home this season! Now, that Jimmy is gone, who will replace him as their leader? Marty Piombo who thinks he can do it and did not like Jimmy?
Stay tuned for more action from the survivors, young and old!!!!

Dancing With The Stars, 092710
It is week 2 of Dancing With The Stars and there is already a celebrity that became upset with one of the judges! I would too, if he tells me that I danced the worst jive in all 11 seasons!!! Ouch!!! Double Ouch!!! First of all, I think that remark was uncalled for!!! Second, some of the celebrities are not dancers... sure, they are entertainers but they probably have 2 left feet!!! Kudos for them for at least trying to dance in front of million of viewers!!! And probably some of these celebrities, like the one that was ridiculed in front of millions of viewers probably is earning more than any of the judges!!
Which judge committed the worst blunder in the history of Dancing With The Stars?? None other than Bruno Tonioli!! He told Michael Bolton during his jive routine with Chelsie Hightower that the dance was the worst jive in 11 seasons!!! Bruno, Bruno, Bruno, when you were learning how to dance, did you get it just like that??? You need to go to a school that teaches how to speak right and not hurt the feelings of people!!! Who do you think you are???? You can really tell that Michael Bolton was really hurt! Michael told on live TV that Bruno is inappropriate and disrespectful!!! Bruno is really something else!!! What??? I can't say the words here, you know!!! I thought the previous dance episodes had worst dancers but Bruno kept his mouth shut on them!!!! Why??? Who knows!!!
The storyline of Chelsie and Michael's jive dance was based on the song, " Hound Dog," which I thought was very lame. Michael crawled out of the doghouse. Yikes! Chelsie, how did you came up with such a gimmick??? During the interview of Brooke Burke with Chelsie and Michael, Brooke asked how the pair came up with the storyline. Duh!! Brooke, were you listening and watching?? What is wrong with these people at DWTS??? They have lost it!!! Comments, anyone????
The leader of the pack was once again Jennifer Grey and Derek Hough! Even though Jennifer's neck was hurting due to the plate and 4 screws on her neck from her surgery last year due to cancer of the thyroid, she really danced her heart out and really nailed the dance! They only received a score of 24, that is why booing erupted from the audience!!! They should have gotten a better score!!! Why judges, is it because it is only week 2 and no one deserve a 9 or 10??? Hmmmmm.....
How about Kyle Massey and Lacey Schwimmer with their Quickstep?? He is really good, considering how his body is built! What do you mean?? Didn't you see him??? That is why Lacey is trying to control his fast food diet!!! Fast food diet!!! Ha! Ha! Ha! You are ninkampoof!!
What about Bristol Palin and Mark Ballas? I was really surprised to see her dance this week. She has really improved and it seems that she has loosened up a little!!! Mama Palin was there watching her little girl! When Mark and Bristol went to Alaska, Sarah Palin was trying to imitate Bristol's shimmy! Did she succeed??? Sorry, I will not touch that with a ten foot pole! Ha! Ha! Ha! Bristol reminds me of Kelly Osbourne that had emerged from her coccoon into a confident, young lady!!
The rest of the celebrity dancers have also improved. It remains to be seen which ones will emerged as contenders. To date, I only see Jennifer Grey and Kyle Massey! Brandy?? Not really! She seemed too over-confident! The Situation?? Too stiff!!! This reminds me of what Carrie Ann Inaba said after the dance number of The Situation and Karina Smirnoff. Carrie Ann asked The Situation what his shoe size is. When he replied size 11, she said that he is pigeon- toed??? What the heck does that mean, Carrie Ann??? What does shoe size have anything to do with being pigeon- toed?? I don't get it!! The judges of DWTS have gone berserk!!!! I can't wait for the other episodes to see what else will come out of the judges mouth!!! Ha! Ha! Ha!
There is a professional dancer that we really miss!! Who??? Edyta Sliwinska, the sexy dancer with skimpy material on her outfits! I guess she have a major disagreement with the producers about her role and her husband, season 1 champ Alec Mazo's role on the show. I also read that Edyta wants to go back to school to get a degree in Communications and Dance. Is this right, anyone? Can she walk away since she is still under contract? Who knows??? Good luck, Edyta!! But you are one dancer that is really missed in DWTS! Any comments???
The dancers are getting better and the judges are getting meaner and lose. What else do you think are we going to see in the episodes to come??? Who knows??? I cannot wait!!!

Undercover Boss, Choice Hotels, 09262010
The undercover boss that just recently aired was the president and CEO of Choice Hotels, Steve Joyce. Did you know that Choice Hotels are franchise hotels such as Comfort Inn, Econolodge, Quality Inn amd Cambria Suites? I didn't know that! I learned something new again today!
It seems the storyline of Undercover Boss is the same, the CEO or president disguises as a new hire to look at the different aspects of the business. The undercover boss flies to different locations of the business, then while working gets the life history of the person training them! He then exposes to the employees his real name and his real job!!! How corny!!!! The undercover boss gets emotionally nudged by the story and gives one or two employees a big break, gives someone in the family or the employee a scholarship and sends the family on a week long vacation for free!!! Well, that is good! What other storyline can they have except that??? I do not know, it tends to be repetitious and boring! But it is a different company everytime! It does not matter, it is still the same story!!!
Steve Joyce's story was the same. He flew to Orlando, Florida to meet the maintenance man who had 2 jobs to support his family and the youngest child going to medical school! We see Steve Joyce cleaning the pool, cleaning the tables and doing the garbage in a 94 degree weather! Since he is not familiar with these tasks, he sweats profusely and was very tired. Well, Steve, what do you expect? You are not physically fit to do all those physically challenging jobs walking from place to place! As a result, he gives a scholarship to the maintenance child and buys him a golf cart to eliminate wasted time walking from task to task! Isn't that nice??? Woo...hooo....
He travels to another location where he met up with the housekeeping. Wow! I did not know that there is a time allotment for each task, like 27 minutes to get one room done, a few minutes to load up a cart of towels and toiletries! Of course, he failed miserably! That is why the housekeeper said that he should go to a housekeeping boot camp! Was she serious?? Is there really a housekeeping boot camp for hotel employees??? My goodness!!! If everything they do is timed, I wonder how many failed??? I do not think I will pass their training!!!! Yikes!!!! So, next time that you are in a hotel, think of how hard the housekeepers work with minimum pay!!! Goodness gracious! How many rooms are they expected to do in a day? Thirty??? My! My! My! Any comments, anyone??? The housekeeper was sent for management training and became a general manager. Her family was sent to Disneyworld for a vacation ... all expenses paid!!! Way to go, girl!!!!
Then he goes to the sales department. He was sooo impressed with the guy that he was with that he offered him to work for him globally! I was too, considering that he was just there for 2 1/2 months! Wow!! This guy will go very far!!! Very impressive with the way he talks and deals with clients!!! That is a big loss for the franchise owner but a big gain for Steve!!!
His next stop was the front desk. Since the lady works by herself at night, she does the cleaning, laundry and the front desk! That is sooo many tasks to do by yourself! Well, at night, it is usually slow anyway. Still, they expect too much from her! What did she get for showing such multitasking? She must have been rewarded also?? Honestly, I really do not know what the reward was because I got distracted by a phone call!! Oh, well.
So, next time you go to a hotel, think of how hard the employees worked to take care of our rooms and surroundings. Are they not amazing to get everything in order before you go into the room??? Does that mean more tip is in order??? I am not going to touch that for now since I am not sure of the correct amount for tipping!

Amazing Race Season 17, 09262010
Amazing Race started with 11 teams from Gloucester, Massachusetts which is the oldest seaport in America. Their first pit stop is in London where the first team to arrive will be given the Express Pass by Phil Keoghan. The Express Pass is a new element in the game. What is the purpose of the pass? It allows the team that has it to skip a task by handing over the pass before or during the next task to receive the next clue. Per Phil, it could mean staying in the game or going home!!
The first flight out of Logan airport had room only for 3 teams, and was scheduled to land 30 minutes earlier than the second flight. Best friends, Ron Kellum, 45, Director/ Choreographer from Los Angeles and Tony Stovall, 42, from Tucson, Arizona a Doctoral student at the University of Arizona led the way ripping open their clue instructing them to fly to London, England, then drive to Stonehenge. The duo were closely followed by newly dating, Fort Lauderdale, Floridians Chad Waltrip, 26, operations manager and Stephanie Smith,23, hairstylist.
In London, dating partners from Marina del Ray, California Jill Haney, 27, hairstylist and Thomas Wolfard, 30, took the lead out of Heathrow airport followed by Ron and Tony! Each team had to drive a car to Eastnor Castle. This is where it becomes interesting. Do you know how to drive a stickshift car??? No. Well, some of these folks have but they are kind of rusty with the clutch! Nevertheless, here they were in London, Georgians Andie Dekroon,43, stay at home mom with newly found daughter Jenna Sykes, 21, student at the University of Georgia in the middle of the street with their car on a complete stop!!! Cars were honking around them! It is a good thing they did not get in an accident!! A word of advice: Learn how to drive a stick shift before going to another part of the world!
The task was to find Eastnor Castle and climb the castle to retrieve the medieval flag. The castle was guarded by peasants who doused them with dirty water to impede their climb! Once they retrieve the flag, they had to ride an ancient saucer boat to cross the moat to a knight in shining armor!! This is were it became soooo funny!!!! The boat was small and it needs balancing by the two people on it!! Some people took a long time to get the technic and they ended up capsizing the boat!!!! It was soooo hilarious!!! Ha! Ha! Ha! We were really laughing!!!! And some people are big than others, so go figure who succeeded without any problems!!!! Shame on you!!!! Laughing at them for not getting it with the second, third or fourth tries!! Come to think of it, that is really funny! See what I mean!!! The one team that really had a big problem big time was the father son team, Michael Wu, 58, Software Consultant and Content Creator and Kevin Wu, 20, student/ Internet Entertainer from Sugar Land, Texas. They finally were able to balance themselves and cross the moat with the small tortoise shell boat after at least a hundred tries ( I do not know how many tries they had!)! Wonders never cease!!!! Alleluia!!!!!
Once they cross the moat, the team had to use a medieval weapon known as a ballista where one of the teammate had to fire watermelon at a knight standing 50 feet away. Once the armored knight gets knocked down, the team can get the next clue from the jester. This is where the mishap occurred!! Home shopping hosts ClaireChamplin, 30, from Reno, Nevada and Brook Roberts, 27, from San Diego, California were set up to launch the watermelon on the giant slingshot. Claire was on deck with Brook watching when BAM! the watermelon came back to Claire and hit her straight on her face! Ouch!!!! That was totally unexpected and it must have hurt her!!! So did she quit? No, she was told that the task had to be finished!!!! Oh, oh, how about her hurt face??? Oh, well, that is a show and it must go on!!!! What???? I could not believe it!!! What a brave soul!!! Can you believe that in spite of calamity, the partners finished in 4th place!!! Good for you guys!!!!
Jill and Thomas finished first and was rewarded with the Express Pass. Ron and Tony who were the first ones to board the plane to London arrived last in the pit stop and thus was eliminated!!! What happened??? Who knows and who cares????
Well, folks, did we get psyche out to follow the Amazing Race??? Did we get a burst of adrenaline with the tasks like the contestants??? You bet!!! This is one reality show that really have a lot of action, and the team that will remain standing is because of their own stamina and endurance.... no voting from the outside world and their peers!!!!

Apple Picking Continues.....
Did any of you go apple picking yesterday? Everyone had a good time? The weather was nice yesterday, although a little bit cold. A little bit cold? Ha! You were freezing! I cannot complain though because the sun was out, no rain and no snow!!!! Thank goodness!!!
We went to the apple orchard yesterday. It was a 35 minute drive. It was a nice drive and I noticed that the leaves are starting to change. We should really see the good color of autumn next month. I was sooo surprised to see how many people were in the orchard yesterday afternoon. I guess I was not the only one that thought of apple picking and apple cider!!! There were many families with children who were enjoying themselves!
It was a cold day, so we decided just to buy apples already picked! Chicken!!!! You bet!!! I had a long sleeve shirt with a jogging top but it was still cold for me. Oh, well, maybe some other time. So, what did you buy? I bought a few items. Among them a 1/2 peck of Gala apples which was $6.75. In the fruit market, gala apples usually cost $1.20 a pound. I do not really know how many pounds is in a peck! Who cares???? Ummmm.... it was sooo good, firm and crisp!! There were other varieties like honey crisp and delicious. Honey crisp apples was more expensive by one dollar. I do not think I have tasted honey crisp apples. I did not buy any because it was green in color, and I was afraid that it might taste a little sour. Has anyone tasted it? How does it taste?
I also bought a gallon of apple cider, half a dozen donuts, honey, and kettle corn. Do not ask me how much each of the items cost...I do not know. The honey was $6.99, and the popcorn was $5.00. You do not know how much are the cider and donuts??? Nope! All I know is that the total was about $29.00 plus and the store even gave us a free bag made of cloth!! Not a bad price for a variety of items that are fresh and good!!!
We decided to eat the donut while it was still hot and take a sip of the cider!!!! It was soooo yummy!!!! The donut was hot and fresh and the cider sweet and cold!! We did not stay very long because of the cold weather, but it was really a nice, short trip in the cider mill.
I ate the popcorn at home and it was really good!!!! I almost finished it!!!! Just kidding!!! Oink! Oink! Ha! Ha! Ha! You are sooo crazy! I should have bought the big bag for $9.00! Wow!!! It was sweet and salty!!!! I think I will have to go back to the orchard for the cider and popcorn!
Well, guys and gals, go on.... go to a cider mill and enjoy the day!!!! Have a safe and happy Sunday!!!

Apple Picking
Hey, folks, it is that time of the year to go apple picking!!! Time to go to the apple orchards which are full of apples for picking. It is a good day to get a whiff of fresh air and at the same time enjoy the day as a family outing!!! Most orchards offer a variety of activities ranging from a wagon or hayride and tours!! Does this not bring memories when you went with the little ones in school for a whole day outing??? Boo...hoo... you are sooo sentimental!!! Here is a kleenex if you are going to cry!!!! Ha! Ha! Ha! Hush!!! You are sooo crazy!!!!
Where did the apple originate? Apples originated in the Middle East, area between Caspin and Black Sea more than 4000 years ago!!! Wow!!! That is really ancient!!!!! You bet!!! I am glad they discovered it because it is sooo yummy and very nutritious! Did you know that a medium apple has only about 80 calories. Yum! Yum!! Very healthy, indeed!
Apples are the easiest to pick since they are big. They also have dwarf trees that can be picked by young people!! Apples can be eaten fresh, canned, frozen and made into tasty and healthy dishes!!!
Does everyone know how to pick an apple? Of course! We have to make sure to pick firm, bruise- free apples. Try also to leave the stem on the apple, it helps them to store longer. The color can be yellow, dark green, pink, orange, bright red, dark red or a combination depending on the variety. I like Gala apples because it is crisp, firm and very good! I also like delicious apples. I leave Granny Smith's for cooking!! Hmmm... as if you really bake apple pies! Ha! Ha! Ha! You got me!! Sorry, I could not resist!! How about you, which variety do you like???
Besides apples, there are other vegetables, fruits, and homemade pies that you can buy. My favorite is the kettle cooked popcorn!!! Wow!!!! A sweet and salty popcorn snack! No wonder you like it!!! It has sugar and probably lots of it!!!! I do not care, it is soooo yummy!!!!!
What are you waiting for? Let us go apple picking!! Do not forget the apple cider and freshly made donuts!!!!! That is soooo delicious! You got me, I am going now to get some apples, apple cider and kettle corn!!! Yummy!!!!!

Survivor, Nicaragua 09232010
Survivor is here!! If you want to see a lot of action, drama, lying, cheating and women clad in bikinis in raw surroundings... this is your show!!! What do you mean by raw surroundings?? Is it not what it is called, if you are in the jungle, in the open with no beds, no blankets and no luxury items on hand??? I am not sure, but I will use it anyway! Good grief!!! Here she goes again with a new word! Any comments???
The episode this season is in Nicaragua. It seems such a pretty place! The 20 survivors were divided into 2 groups, the old group called Espada, and the young group called La Flor. On the previous episode, Wendy DeSmidt-Kohlhoff, 48, a goat rancher from Fromberg, Montana got booted off!!! Meeeeeeee.....Wendy. The very first survivor to be booted off on this episode!!!!
The second episode showed how the young group is sooo divided, having two or three separate alliances! One alliance consist of NaOnka Mixon,27, PE teacher from Los Angeles, California and Matthew " Sash" Lenahan, 30, a real estate broker from New York, New York. Since they are a minority, they were trying to recruit on their side another minority - Brenda Lowe, 27, paddleboard co-owner from Miami, Florida. It so happened that Brenda is already an ally of Chase Rice, 24,a pro race car jackman from Fairview, North Carolina! Oh, oh, that is not good! The Survivors see Chase and Brenda are really tight that they will try to separate those 2! Then there is an alliance of Alina Wilson, 23, student from Downey, California and Kelly Bruno, 26, a medical student from Durham, California. Wow!!! Kelly B. has an artificial right leg and that did not stop her from joining the Survivor!!!! Go, girl!!!!!
On the othe side, the old fogeys, Holly Hoffman, 44, a swim coach from Eureka, South Dakota did an evil thing to Dan Lembo,63, a real estate executive from Watermill, New York. Holly put sand on Dan's alligator shoes, tied it together and let it sinked in the water!!!!! What a no gooder piece of art!!!! Then she goes in front of everyone to apologize!!!! She is one crazy woman!!! Everyone should steer away from her!!!! There goes your alligator shoes, which I do not think is irreplaceable. Right, Dan??? Wait!!! What is an alligator shoes doing in the middle of a jungle??? Dan, Are you out of your mind to even bring it to Survivor??? Were you trying to show off??? You are really asking for trouble!!!! What do you think it will be? A vacation in a nice place complete with a first class hotel with all amenities???? What were you thinking when you brought your alligator shoes??? Hmmmph.... Show off!!!!
Who won in the immunity challenge?? The object is to collect 4 balls in the barrel by going through mud, unwraping the ball, bouncing the ball in a paddle between 2 people and landing the balls in the barrel. The first tribe to successfully complete the task will get the immunity idol, and hence safe from tribal council. Espada tribe had a medallion which they chose to use, so instead of 4 balls, they need only 3 balls to win!!! Nevertheless, Espada tribe won! They also received a fisherman's parapernalia!!! Since they used the medallion, the medallion was passed to La Flor for the next competition!
La Flor tribe went to the tribal council. Boy! Oh, boy!! The survivors were on each other's throats already!!!! And it is omly day 6!!!! Wow!!!! By a vote of 6-3, Shannon Elkins, 30, a pest control co-owner from Lafayette, Louisiana was sent home! Much to the chagrin of some of his co-survivors, he was non stop in his talking!!!! He was very vocal and very aggressive!!!! Because of this, Brenda was spared!!!! Adios, Shannon. Like your friends said, you should just have kept quiet!!! But you chose to be a blabber mouth!!!! Nenenenene....there goes your chance to win a million dollars!!!!!!

International Week Of Prayer And Fasting
The 18th International Week of Parayer and Fasting is from October 3 - October 11, 2010. There is a conference on October 9th, awards banquet on October 10th, and a Eucharistic Prayed Vigil on October 11th which will be held at the Basilica Shrine of the Immaculate Conception in Washington, D.C..
Why do they have a 9 days of international day of prayer and fasting? The organizers are calling people together to unite for 9 days of prayer and fasting for the conversion of nations, to bring world peace and to promote the culture of life. All faithful Catholics and Christians are encouraged to fast and pray during the 9 days.
What do we do as individuals on these 9 days? For starters, we can join a rally on October 3rd near us if we can. October 3rd is the Respect Life Sunday. We can fast daily on the 9 days, eating only bread and water or eat only one meal a day or fast from 6 am to 6 pm. We can also pray the Rosary daily, recite the Divine Mercy Chaplet daily, attend Holy Hour Prayer Vigils, attend Holy Mass daily, Consecrate yourself to the Immaculate Heart of Mary, turn off the television for one week and perform Spiritual and Corporal Works of Mercy. We can also join a Rosary Rally near us on October 16th at 12 noon.
We are all living in difficult economic times. Many people are unemployed with 18 % unemployment rate, and we do not seem to see the end of this unemployment crisis! There are still many foreclosed homes and the poverty rate is really way up there! To top it all, there are so many disasters all over the world!!
Let us look at unemployment rate in America... it is up to 18%, and we do not see the end of the tunnel!!! Businesses are still laying off, and other businesses are not hiring!!! That is why someone said, that if you have a job, hold on to it very tightly!!!! Housing industry is still down, with many people still being driven out of their homes! Can the government do something??? Not really, because they are broke too!!!! Too much unnecessary spending!!!! This is sad, really sad!!!
Then there was the oil explosion in the Gulf of Mexico, which is now labeled as the most catastrophic oil spill in the US history! As a result of the spill, some people lost their means of livelihood, and the environment is so polluted that the wildlife has died. This is soooo sad!!!
How about the massive flooding in Pakistan? Monsoon rains have damaged Pakistan for almost 2 weeks killing more than a thousand people and displacing others! This is really sad!!!!
Let us take a look at Iran's nuclear power plant. The Islamic Republic of Iran has been feeding uranium for the past several weeks to their first and only nuclear power plant. By October 2010, Iran will be producing fissile material, and eventually the Bushehr plant will be activated! What does this mean?? Some believe that with this activation will be a catastrophic outcome!!! This is very, very sad, and hopefully it will not come to fruition!!!!
What are we to do??? Implore the heavenly weapons to stop wars and catastrophes!! Our Lady said that prayer and fasting can stop calamities. We all have the secret weapons in our midst, prayer especially the Holy Rosary and fasting!!!!
So, let us all join together in unity on October 3rd to October 11th. Let us all pray!!! Better still, pray the Rosary everyday so the world will change and we will have world peace!!!!!

Dancing With The Stars, 09212010
Dancing With The Stars new episode is here!!!!! There are 12 celebrities paired with the dancing experts, and as usual, the emcees are Tom Bergeron and Brooke Burke. Brooke's outfit on the first day of the episode was sooo revealing that if someone accidentally pull it off, her breasts will be really bared very easily!!! That is why I was really surprised to see her outfit on the second day was so modest!!! Oh, well, since she has a good body, she flaunts it!!!! Are you jealous??? Considering that she has 4 kids, that is remarkable to have a body like that!!!! You are right!!!!
Who are the dancers? They are the following: Bristol Palin/ Mark Ballas, Rick Fox/ Cheryl Burke, Jennifer Grey/ Derek Hough, Michael Bolton/ Chelsie Hightower, Margaret Cho/ Louis Van Amstel, Kurt Warner/ Anna Trebunskaya, Florence Henderson/ Corky Ballas, David Hasselhoff/ Kym Johnson, Brandy Norwood/ Maksim Chmerkovskiy, Kyle Massey/ Lacey Schwimmer, Audrina Partridge/ Tony Dovolani and Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino/Karina Smirnoff.
Let us talk about Bristol Palin. She is very stiff, and a little on the heavy side. If she can manage to stay long in DWTS, I think her body would be a knockout. She has a pretty face also. Mama Palin should see to it that her dear daughter does not get eliminated soon!!! Bristol also seems to be on the shy side considering she had been on the limelight a lot!!! Well, with time she will emerge beautifully and gracefully from her coccoon!!!
Rick Fox is very tall for Cheryl! Cheryl had to get a 4 inch shoes to make her taller!!! How could Cheryl walk and dance in those heels??? I wonder if her feet went bonkers after each dance???? I was surprised that Rick has rhythm! He is also good looking. No wonder he got Vanessa Williams!!! Too bad, Cheryl, I do not think you will get any blings from Rick!!!!
Jennifer Grey, Baby from Dirty Dancing. Wow!!!! She can still move gracefully and beautifully with Derek!!! No wonder she got the highest score for the night...24!!!! I think she will be the favorite to win!!!
How about Michael Bolton, the singer??? He is very stiff and it seems that Chelsie was leading him!!!
There was too much comedy with Margaret Cho and Louis. Sure, it was entertaining, but she is in a dancing competition, not in a slapstick comedy hour!! I was soooo surprised that she dodged elimination!!!!
Kurt Warner, the retired football player. He is okay. He needs more practice!! Why is he retired?? He seems too young to retire! Not with football!!! Do you want him to be the old man of the team??? I do not think so!!! And if he could afford it, why not???
How about the 76 year old Florence Henderson??? She has a lot of spunk in her!!! She really wants to dance but the dance does not seem to fit her right!!! Well, look at her age!!! At least she is trying. I want to see you dancing in front of millions of viewers when you are 76!!!! I do not think you will be able to move like her!!! Okay, you are right!!!! I admit she does look good! I wonder though how much botox she has been injected already???? Ha! Ha! HA!! You are sooo crazy!!!! Ay..ya...yay!!! Shhhh.... We are not going to talk about that, okay??? We are here to talk about dancing!!!
Brandy Norwood, the singer. She is really good!!! I was not surprised that she can dance. She is also one of the contenders for the trophy!!!
Kyle Massey. Wow!!!! With his size, I was really surprised to see him dance!!!! He can really move!!! He is also a contender for the trophy!!!!
How about Audrina Partridge?? She needs a lot of practice!!!! Very stiff, not graceful!!!!
How did Mike Sorrentino got the nickname The Situation??? Anyone??? is it from his role in Jersey Shore??? With only 5 days of practice, nobody can really expect a lot from him!!! He is young, I am sure that he will be able to grasp what Karina will teach him!!! Any bets that Karina and him will be romantically involved???
David Hasselhoff. He is too gimmicky which did not work with both the judges and the viewers!!!! Adios David!!!! Too bad for Kym, she is off too from DWTS!!!!
Well, well, well, we saw the start of DWTS. Do you think it will have the same intensity as last years???? Probably. There are at least 3 that is in the position to garner the trophy!!! Who knows...there might be other that will push themselves to the limit!!!! Comments, anyone?????

Memory Loss
Memory loss is a very painful thing to see with your loved ones. You are at a loss because there is nothing you can really do to help and reverse the situation!
What causes memory loss?? There are so many things that can cause memory loss. One of them is aging, which occurs because the brain cells start dying which influences the ways in which the information is recalled within the brain. Another cause is brain trauma , which can be permanent or temporary, the major cause is stroke. Other causes may be drug and alcohol abuse, dementia, medications or infections.
What are the symptoms of memory loss? It varies from person to person, like forgetting names and dates, running errands and forgetting the reason for the errand, easily getting lost, having difficulties in performing familiar tasks such as driving and baking! Oh, oh!!! Except for driving and baking, I have experienced some of these symptoms!!! Do I have some "Somezheimer's" already??? You are really a dingbat!!! It is called Alzheimer's, not Somezheimer's! Well, my mind is still good most of the time that is why I call it Somezheimer's!!! Ha! Ha! Ha! You are really crazy!!!! You concocted another word again!!!! The first symptom is confusion or decreased alertness. My gosh!!!! Most of the time I am really confused!!!! You are really ninkampoof!!!! Memory loss is not a laughing matter!!! Who is laughing???? Nenenenene... she got you!!!!
What can we do to prevent it??? Sudden trauma resulting in head injury can be prevented by wearing seatbelts while driving or wearing a helmet while biking! One should avoid alcohol abuse, quit smoking, eat nutritious foods, reduce stress, exercise and socialize! If you have high blood pressure, control it with medication!!!
Can it be treated? Not, unless it is is caused by a reversible condition. Which is??? Amnesia!!! Doctors, is this right??? Comments, anyone???
Memory loss is indeed something that we hate to see occur in someone we know. Hopefully, we will not experience it ourselves. It is indeed very painful to see a loved one deteriorate and does not know you when you are with them. What do we do??? Just keep the person company and keep praying!!! Some said that there are sometimes episodes that the person will know you and they always seize that day!!!
How does some people in their 90's or 100's do it??? There are some that are really enjoying life to the fullest in their 90's or 100's, and their minds are still very sharp!!! For one thing, we should all start to somewhat reduce stress in our lives no matter how impossible it might be! We also have to eat better nutritious foods, exercise and be happy!!!!
Smile!!!! Have a good and pleasant day!!!!!

Doctor's Office
Do you like going to the doctor??? Of course not, if I can help it!!!! Is this the same sentiment of everyone??? Yes??? When you go to your doctor, how long do you have to wait?? Thirty minutes??? Fifteen minutes??? One hour??? How about 1 hour and 40 minutes plus the half hour that you came early???? Yup!!! That is 2 hours waiting just to be called to come in and wait again in the examining room!!!!
What is it with doctors trying to overbook patients??? Do doctors think that patients do not have anything better to do than wait in the office all day long??? My gosh!!! The whole day was shot for me and my companion!!!!
We arrived in the doctor's office at 10:30 am. By 11: 15 am, the receptionist informed us that the doctor was running late!!! She was just seeing the 10 am patients!!!! My appointment was supposed to be at 11am!!! By 12:30 pm, I had it!!! I went to the receptionist and inquired how much longer I had to wait. She told me that the doctor was running 1 hour behind!!! I informed her that my appointment was already 1 1/2 hours late!!! She said," Oh, you will be called next." Ten long minutes had passed before I was called!!!! Alleluia!!! By that time, I was fuming, tired and hungry!!! The woman apologized profusely and was offering tea or coffee to cool me off!!! I refused everything!!! She then told me she was going to get my blood pressure, which I told her will be very high considering the stress and agony of waiting!!! True enough, my blood pressure was 140/110!!! And my blood pressure usually runs 110/70!!! Such dumb woman!!! I told her it will be no good!!! Oh, well.
Once inside the examining room, I waited again for the doctor for 25 minutes!!! Ay..ya..yay!!! This is toooooo much!!! I was not the only one either that was fuming for waiting sooooo long!!! How long do you think I saw the doctor??? A mere 2 minutes!!!! And for that, I had to pay a co- pay, and the insurance had to probably pay an arm and a leg!!!! Wow!!!! That is over 3 hours in a doctor's office!!! When I asked the receptionist what happened, she told me that the doctor cut some days!!! Aha!!! So, the doctor tried to shoved as many patients in one day!!! Someone pointed to me that they are also entitled to some days off!!! Oh, well.
Someone also mentioned this is a taste of what will be coming with the new health care!!! Patients will be waiting for a long, long time in the office before the doctor can see the patient!!!! My gosh, if that is true, the patients might as well get a number, go home and come back!!! Is this a good idea or what??? I cannot see people getting stuck in a doctor's office for hours!!! That is too cumbersome!!! Well, whether we like it or not, it will be coming!!!
So, what can we do??? Nothing really!!! The doctors will not really care if you are waiting for a long time, as long as they get paid!!! And they really get paid good, is it not???? I guess we have to have more patience??? Not, if you have to wait for over an hour or two hours!!!! I believe that is too much and is not really acceptable!!! What do you guys think??? Am I being too hard??? Comments, anyone????

Oh, well.

Sunday
What is Sunday??? It is the Day of the Sun, the first day of the week, derived from Egyptian astrology. It is the day between Saturday and Monday. In Christian tradition it is the Sabbath's Day and in many it is the Lord's day!!!
So, what is it, is it the first day of the week, or the last day of the week? I always wondered about that!!! That is a very good question!!! According to international standards ISO, Sunday is the seventh and last day of the week. In Hebrew and Islamic calendars, Sunday is the first day of the week!!!
There is soooo much material about Sunday that is too complicated to absorb in such a short period of time that I am not even going to attempt to write its origin nor its history!! Chicken!!!! You bet!!! Maybe some other time!!!
All I know is that for many Christians, Sunday is a day set aside for worship of God due to the belief that Christ's resurrection was on a Sunday!!! And many important holydays are on Sunday, like Easter Sunday and Palm Sunday. It is a day to abstain from work as much as possible. What are you talking about that??? Nowadays, it seems that for many people, Sunday is just another day of work, not only to doctors and nurses but to many workers in various fields!!!! Gone are those days that people work only on Mondays to Frdays!!! Nowadays, the weekends are a part of a workweek, and people no longer get paid overtime for it!!!! Am I right or not??? Comments, anyone????
What do people do if they have to go to work on a Sunday??? Go to church on Saturday night or Sunday early morning or early night!!!Hmmm... that is easily said than done!!! Well, if there is a will, there is a way!!!! I rest my case!!!! If you cannot go to a church physically, there is always a service on television, which I have heard will soon be a thing of the past!!! I hope not, because when I got sick, I have been turning on the television set for the mass!!! It was really nice!!!! Heaven forbids that they delete this program!!! It will be disastrous for the homebound people!!!!
What do we do now on a Sunday??? Go to church, and enjoy the day!!!! It is a rest day to appreciate everything that God has given to each and everyone of us!!!! We should be very thankful!!!! Come on, relax and enjoy the beauty of everything that is around us!!! Life is short and we cannot afford not to be happy and enjoy life to the fullest!!!! Take a stroll in the woods with someone, have a picnic which might be the last this year since it is getting colder, or go to a cider mill!!!! Ooooohhhh, that is yummy!!! Apple picking, cider and fresh made donuts??? What more can you ask for???
Come on, getup and enjoy this day!!!! May God bless us all!!!!

Big Brother, 09172010
A winner was finally crowned as the Big Brother's best houseguest!!! Is that the title of the person who won and is richer by half a million dollars??? I do not know but it sounds good anyway!!! No wonder people are conniving, fighting, lying etc..etc... because of the amount of money that is at stake!!!!
How would you like being in a house with total strangers for many months with no contact with the outside world??? No television, no phones, no relatives or friends!!!! Wow!!! That is sooo intense!!!! I do not think I can last that long with complete strangers that will be plotting, lying and what have you to get ahead of the game!!! These people that join these reality shows should be commended!! They have thick skin and can survive the stress and aggravation!! Well, who would not, if there is a huge amount of money in stake?? Not me!!! Why not??? I am not into joining reality shows...I just want to watch it!!!! Too much drama inside the house, be it men or women!!! You got that right!!!
Let us first go back to the HOH competition. Hayden Moss won the 3 part HOH competition and who did he choose to be with him in the final 2??? None other than Lane Elenburg, the bff of Britney Haynes!!! Therefore, Enzo Palumbo got evicted!!
By a vote of 4-3, Hayden won the $500,000!!! Who voted for him??? Kathy Hillis- the sheriff, Matt Hoffman- the liar, Ragan Fox- the cry baby professor, and Enzo Palumbo-meow meow brigadier!!! Lane got 3 votes from Britney Haynes - the wishy washy beauty, Rachel Reilly - bring em on feisty woman and Brendon Villegas- the smitten lover of the Las Vegas diva!!!! Ha! Ha! Ha! You are something else, you gave each and everyone of them a nickname!!!
Hayden Moss, now that you have half a million dollars, maybe you can afford to cut your bangs??? It is sooooo long!!!! Can you even see??? How about Lane Elenburg that has a crush on Britney??? Since he won $50,000 he can start the courtship!!! How about Britney's fiancee??? Are they still on??? Who knows??? Why do you say that??? Because in the big brother's house, it seems Lane and Britney were sooo chummy!!!! By the way, Britney won $25,000 as America's favorite!!! I was sooo surprised!!! I liked Rachel to have won since she got the houseguests on their toes while she was there!!! Oh, well.
Now, that Big Brother is over, what is in store for the reality shows??? Plenty!!!! Take your pick.... Survivor, Apprentice or Dancing with the Stars!!!! Wow!!! That is quite a lineup!!!!
Happy watching!!!! Take care and have a nice weekend!!!!!

Reality Show
There are new reality shows since it is September!!! Do I hear clapping or chuckling or disgust???? Well, well well, whether we like it or not, reality shows are here to stay!!! For one thing, reality shows are cheaper to produce than the regular shows!!! The contestants does not have to be paid, they are only housed and fed, is that not right??? Sure, there is a prize money, but with the ads I think the producers are ahead!!!! How about the host??? They get paid with a good amount of money, for example, Jeff Probst of the Survivor gets paid $150,000 per episode or around $600, 000 per the whole 10 episodes!!! But this is peanuts as opposed to the regular shows!!! Tina Fey is making as much as $350,000 per episode!!! Wow!!! There is a big disparity in the pay!!!! Why??? I do not know!!!! Ask the producers!!!!! Tsk! Tsk! Tsk! Testy! Testy! Testy!
Survivor premiered 2 days ago. As far as I know, there are 20 contestants: 10 old folks that belong to the Espada group and 10 young ones that belong to La Flor group. The episode was filmed in Nicaragua .Wow!!! The old versus the young ones!!! That is not fair!!! For sure the young ones has an advantage over the old foggeys. Do not be too sure about that because there are some oldies that are made of steel and very resilient!!! What are you talking about??? I do not think so, the age ranges from 41 to 67!!! The young ones range from 20 to 30!!! That is all i can say about the show for now since I missed it.
The other show that premiered last night was the apprentice. The contestants are all unemployed ranging from a financial advisor to a sales rep to a lawyer! I could not believe that even lawyers are unemployed! What is happening in this crazy world of ours??? You said it, the world has gone berserk!!!!So, what happened in the show??? I do not know since I did not really watch it. We had company but I saw Donald Trump still with his signature hairdo!!!! So, I cannot say anything also about the show. Oh, well. Maybe next time when all the guests are gone and everything is back to normal.
I have to cut my blog short since I am feeling soooo sleepy and tired. Until next time...may God bless all of us!!!!!

America's Got Talent, 09142010
Another talent show bites the dust!!! The finale of America's Got Talent was heavy with well known celebrities including Usher and David Copperfield! When David Copperfield appeared on stage, I was trying to compare him to Michael Grasso and I can truly say that for me, Michael Grasso is in the league of David Copperfield!!!
What is wrong with Piers Morgan??? This is already the final 4, he buzzed Prince Poppycock!!! He is the cultural ignoramus, not Howie Mandell!!! He should get a nickname of Piers Morgan, aka Trigger Happy X!!!! He said that his performance was too serious!!!Last night, he admitted though that he made a mistake of buzzing Prince Poppycock!! Too late, Piers, the damage was done already which landed Poppycock the 4th place!!! When I heard Trigger Happy X buzzed PP, I was disgusted that if I was in the audience, I would have given him a piece of my mind!!!!
Michael Grimm, the 3 judges gave him a standing ovation!! Everytime he sings, he reminds me of Michael Bolton!!!! I guess he has a unique voice that is taking him to success!!!! Happy Trigger X told him that he could win the coveted million dollar prize and the headliner in Cesar's Las Vegas!!!
Jackie Evancho. What can I say??? She has a very unique voice!!! It is a real gift from up there!!! Before the announcement of the grand prize winner, I wondered though how she will be able to cope with Las Vegas at a tender age of 10??? True, she is gifted and talented, but her childhood years will be gone!!! Will she be like Michael Jackson that in later life begun to act like a child, since he did not get a normal childhood??? Wooo!!! Hold on!!! Maybe Jackie will be different!!! I hope so!!!
Fighting Gravity. They have a very unique and fresh act! I wonder who is the brains in their acts??? One of them??? Or all of them??? They surely deserve to be a headliner in Las Vegas!!!! They do not need to go back to school if they will earn millions!!! After all, with the sad economy, even college graduates are unemployed. Is that what we go to college for??? To earn top notch dollars which today is a thing of the past!!!! Yikes!!! What are you talking about??? Well, I just read that there is indeed a very high unemployment rate and it is not stopping!!! Las Vegas unemployment rate is now 25 %!!! I was sooo shocked to hear that!!! And there is this insurance agent that talks to a lot of people, everytime he talks to someone, when it comes to the question, " what is your job?", the answer is mostly unemployed!!!! This is a harsh and grim reality thet is plaguing America!!!! No wonder there is still many foreclosures, and people are not buying anything!!!! Oh, well, enough.... let us go back to AGT.....
I was soooo surprised that Jackie Evancho lost to Michael Grimm!!! I guess everyone is thinking what I was thinking that she is too young to be a headliner in the sin city!!! Michael Grimm was so shocked when Nick Cannon announced his name!!!
Speaking of Nick Cannon, he was soooo melodramatic and full of suspense!!! I guess that is Nick for you!!!
Congratulations to all 4 finalists, and good luck to all!!!! I was surprised at the outcome, but I am sure that Michael Grimm's grandparents are very happy!!!
Congratulations, Michael Grimm and good luck in Vegas!!!!!

Bachelor Pad, 09132010
At last, Bachelor Pad came to its end!!! There were three pairs of bachelors and bachelorettes left, and all three pairs were in alliance with each other!
The episode started with a dance contest, a la Dancing With The Stars competition. Tenley Molzhan and Kiptyn Locke was taught by Chelsea Hightower. Their performance was really good, which earned them a score of 26! It pays to have a previous dance experience, is it not, Tenley????
The next couple was Elizabeth Kitt and Jesse Kovacs taught by the hot female ballroom dancing expert Edyta Sliwinska! During the practice, Kovacs was oogling and admiring Edyta's fabulous body!!! My goodness!!! I do not think that Kovacs really learned his dance moves especially with Edyta gyrating to him!!! On the other hand, Elizabeth was sooo jealous with Edyta that I do not think she learned her moves either!!!! Needless to say, Edyta is too much of a distraction for Kovacs and Elizabeth!!! The pair sucked in their performance earning a score of 24!!! Thus, they were eliminated!!!
Louis Van Amstel taught Cha Cha to David Good and Natalie Getz. Dave said during the practice that he is not afraid to dance with a dude for 250 grand!!! They only received a 25 score since they forgot the end of the routine!!!
Can you believe that the judges were Melissa Rycroft, who is pregnant, Jake Pavelka since he was in DWTS for 5 weeks and Krista!!! Oh, well, I think they did a pretty decent job judging!!! Was Tenley uncomfortable whe she saw Jake or vice versa??? I do not know, and who cares????
Who did KipTen, a concoction of Tenley for Kiptyn and Tenley, chose to be with them for the $250,000 prize??? KipTen chose David and Natalie out of loyalty!!! Kipten were out of their mind for choosing Natalie and David!!! It cost them the 250 grand to go down the drain!!! There were more losing bachelors and bachelorettes that hate Kiptyn and Tenley! Nenenenene... that is what you get for not choosing Elizabeth and Kovacs!!!
As I predicted, Elizabeth and Kovacs called it quits, Tenley and Kiptyn are very much together, David and Natalie will try a long distance relationship, and Gia Allemand had her first kiss from Wes Hayden at the prompting of the audience!!! Wes took the opportunity since Gia is free!!!!
For the 250 grand, Chris Harrison had a twist, if both David and Natalie choose share, they will split the money 50/50; if they both choose keep, neither would get anything and the money will be split to the bachelors and bachelorettes panel; if one chooses keep, and the other choose share, the person who chose keep will keep all the money!!!
What did you think they chose??? Natalie was being melodramatic before she gave her answer!!! Did the producers told her to do that??? Hmmm... you are always suspicious!!! Of course!!! Anyway, both Natalie and David chose share!!! David was soooo excited that he kissed Chris Harrison on the mouth!!! IsDavid an AC-DC??? What do you guys think???? What does Natalie think???
Who do you think will pursue their love??? We will have to wait and see!!!!

I just marked yesterday my 200th published entry!!!!! How about that???? Are you guys impressed??? Wow!!! That is something... to get 200 blogs done and published!!! How on earth do you get your materials to blog??? I am not telling, just like they say," Ancient Chinese secret." Ha! Ha! Ha!
Are you going to celebrate??? Of course, complete with a big party with streamers, lots of food and music!!!! Are you crazy??? Just for that and you expect a celebration??? Why not??? Not everyone has the guts nor balls ( there you go! I said it!!!) to write a blog and publish for everyone to read!!! This blog just started for relatives, but right now there are others who have been reading it!!! There are some foreign sounding blogs that have been coming to read my entries and when I go to their website, it looks like Arabic characters. I do not understand a thing!!! Not fair!!! They can understand my blog, but I cannot understand theirs!!!! Oh, well... I am soooo honored for others to read my blog!!!
There are also some that is asking me to get paid for blogging, which I have declined. First of all, I am still clueless with the computer. Is that why you have not succumbed to the idea of getting paid while blogging??? Yup!!! Then why bother blogging??? You are wasting precious time and you are not really reaching many people!!! I do not know... call me crazy but I guess I just want to blog!!! What can I say??? Since I know what blog means, it had become non stop for me!!!! I guess you can call it.... Blah..blahtitis!!!! Ummmm...Is there such a word??? I do not care!!! I like the sound of it!!! I think that will be a good song... let us see... blah...blahtitis...blah....blahtitis....blah....blahtitis... Yikes!!! Here she goes again!!! What key will that be??? The key of Blah!!!! Ha! Ha! Ha!!! I got you!!!! You are really insane!!! A ninkampoof!!! Thank you very much!!!!
I cannot believe though that I can peck the keyboard better than before!!!! Until now you are still pecking the keyboard??? Yes, do you have a problem with that??? Ooopppps. Tsk! Tsk! Tsk! Testy, testy, testy!!!! Well, my fingers were trained to just peck, so it is hopeless to type the normal way!!! Oh, so you are abnormal??? In what sense??? Typing, dodo!!! First of all, what does dodo means??? Who knows and who cares??? That means you do not know what that means, either!!!! Please do not use words that you do not know!!!! Why not??? It seems fun!!!!
Try it, you will like it!!!! Dumb! Dumb! Dumb!!!

50th Wedding Anniversary
Has anybody been to a 50th wedding anniversary? I have been to a 50th wedding anniversary twice!!! In this day and age, people are lucky if they reach their 25th wedding anniversary!!!! Am I right or wrong??? Because whenever I see a couple, all I hear is they are separating or divorcing!!! What is wrong with this picture??? Are couples sooo fast to jump into marriage??? Or something else is causing the demise of marriages???
With this economy, I heard that most marital issues are financial. I know a few that got a divorce because of financial problem. Some men and women also have the itch to find other lovers!!! I am not sure if they want to live on edge, but probably they want a greener pasture!!!!
There is a woman that has been unfaithful for sooo many years. I am not sure why the family did not know about it!!! She had been pretending to work on weekends, only to meet her lover!!! Sounds like a movie to me!!! Ha! Ha! Ha! No, it is a true story that can be a good movie! She finally left her husband, who was a very nice man, but poor!!! The woman's lover is her boss, so she wanted to be able to afford all the nice, great things in life!!! Well, I guess we can call her a "goldigger!" After 25 years of marriage, she finally went kaput with her marriage!!! The guy did not even get a cent from her even though she was the one who was really making a lot of money!!! Do you think that is because of the man's pride??? Probably!!!! Anyway, there is a saying, "What goes around, comes around." Hold on... you were talking about 50th wedding anniversary, why on earth did the subject become about divorce??? Well, doesn't divorce and marriage come hand in hand???
Back to the original topic....wedding anniversary. The ceremony was nice, complete with 4 sponsors, 4 bridesmaids and groomsmen, 2 flower girls and a ring bearer. Wow!!!! That is a lot of bridal entourage, just like a regular wedding!!!! Did you cry during the ceremony??? No, but many people did, including some choir members!!!! Do you know why??? No, tell us!!!! During the ceremony, the minister was soooo emotional with his words that some people got carried away and were crying! I wonder if the ministers of the church we went for the ceremony had to learn how to be emotional??? I guess that is an art in some churches so the congregation can be carried with the theatrical performance of the minister??? I assume you do not belong to this congregation??? No, that is why I was surprised how it went with the minister's "act." To you, it might be an act, but to others it is not!!! Sorry, but I could not resist. I guess each church has different ways to relate to the people!!! You can say that again!!!!!
How was the reception? it was held in a Chinese restaurant, buffet style. There was sooo much food, and there was entertainment that the family organized. It was a very nice, festive occasion!!!
Mind you, the celebration did not end there. There was also a celebration the next day in someone's house!!! It also became a sort of a family reunion, which was really nice!!!! It was amazing that everyone was able to fit inside the house!!!! This time it was all homemade food.... steak, noodles, pizza, salad, vegetables, beef, fruits, dessert, etc...etc... There was also entertainment in the form of a Karaoke. There was soooo much food, picture taking, laughing, and talking. Almost everyone had a doggie bag to take home!!!!
The 2 day affair was a very successful occasion. Everyone really enjoyed themselves. What a way to see relatives from far away places. The couple are sooo blessed that they have a loving family and friends. We are also blessed to have been related to this wonderful couple.
As I see it, life is indeed precious! We should all be thankful for all the abundant grace that God has been showering to us, especially our good health!

9/11 Ninth Anniversary
Yesterday was the 9th anniversary of the horrific, brutal day that killed the lives of 2,977 men and women. Innocent lives that were lost 9 years ago!!! For what??? For the glory of the 19 terrorists and their co-horts that hijacked 4 Boeing 757's and attacked American civilians!!!
9/11 is an unforgettable day for many, many people. I remembered that I was at work when I heard it. I remembered that all of us at work were so grief stricken and had utter disbelief of the catastrophe that had engulfed the United States!!! There were 4 hijacked airlines, Flight 93 the last of the 4 hijacked airlines which plummeted to the ground near Shanksville, Pennsylvania on its way to the White House or the Capitol. Thank goodness for the bravery and courage of some men who fought the hijackers!!! They were heroes that averted another catastrophic incident!!!
Why did the terrorists chose New York and Washington as targets??? For obvious reasons!!!! What??? They are the 2 most symbolic cities in the United States, New York being the center of finances, and Washington, the center of government!!! Because of that devastating incident, the twin towers was gone forever and so with the thousands of lives of innocent people!!!! That is soooo sad. America will never be the same again!!!!
Can we heal and move on after this tragedy??? Of course, we will, but it will take time. Time heals pain, but we have a long way to go for our anger, grief and suspicion to die down!!! We are a tolerant nation, but this is one of those times that the American people will not forget for quite sometime!!!!
Because of 9/11, our lives have changed forever!!! Gone are those carefree, democratic way of life that we know. Sure, we are still free to move around, but every move we take is somewhat recorded in a camera or whatever. When we go to board a plane, it takes forever to be screened through the security. The security gets more complicated and more modern and our whole body goes through the security! Nothing is sacred anymore!!! If the security is not satisfied with the electronic view of our body, then they resort to a pat and search!!!! Ay...ya...yay!!!! But this is better for the people because it puts our mind at ease that we can travel safely around the world!!!!
What happens in Ground Zero??? First of all, it is a sacred ground, a resting place for some on that dark, gloomy and horrific day. A place where the grim reality became known that Americans are hated soooo much for their love of freedom and their tolerant attitude. A grim reality that there are indeed people out there that will push to such lengths as to destroy property and lives of innocent people!!!! And what sort of human beings would resort to such violence???? People that do not have gods or pretend to worship something that is inhuman and laughs at the misery of not only America but the whole world!!!! What happens to Ground Zero is a good question!!!! We all hope and pray that no one in their right minds will erect something that will be sooooo despicable to the nation that was put in shambles on that gloomy Tuseday morning!!!! We also have to pray for those people that changed the course of everybody's lives. May they repent and realize what damage their cruel intentions have done not only to America but the whole world, not only physically, but also mentally!!!
May God protect us all from all the evil that is upon this great nation of ours. Let us all pray for peace in the whole world!!!!

21st Birthday
Just came back from a birthday party. Of course there were good food, video watching, Endless picture taking and non stop talking!! My! My! My! My jaw is hurting from eating, talking and laughing!!! Too much of everything!!! Is that good or bad??? I think both!!!
The girl just turned 21!!!She left us to go with her friends to paint the town red!! I was joking with her that she is now legal to drink! Her eyes lit up and her smile was from ear to ear!!! You are ninkampoof!!! Why did you say that??? Do not be hard on yourself. Even if you did not say that, that is what she will do!!!
Do you remember when you turned 21??? Not really. That was many, many moons ago!!! I do not remember going out to have a drink. Maybe that is why I really do not like to drink. Good for you!!! Your liver will be healthy!!!
It is getting late...I have to get my beauty rest. Tomorrow, I have to go to a 50th wedding anniversary, hence my blog is early.
Take care, and have a safe, nice weekend!!!!

Big Brother, 09052010
And then there were 4!!! That is right! Only 4 houseguests are left in the Big Brother's house. Who will win the half a million dollars? Who will win the $25,000??? The finale is scheduled next Wednesday, which will be a 2 hour show, where the evicted houseguests will determine who will win the coveted prize money!!!
The head of household competition was really intense. It was decorating a Christmas tree where the competitors will have to use their hands to guide the ornament to the respective slots. You would think that Britney will win the competition since she has small hands. Did she??? No way, Jose!!!! She broke many decorations! Hayden won!!! Hayden Moss nominated Britney Haynes and Lane Elenburg. Lane's plan was to win the veto, so he can use it on himself and take Britney to the final 2!! Did his plan worked??? Of course not!!!
Hayden and Enzo Palumbo decided that it was time to tell Britney of the Brigade alliance. How did Britney take it??? She was upset and felt that she was used and betrayed by all 3! She knew at that instant that she will be gone unless she wins the veto!!!! Unfortunately, Hayden won the veto, and so Britney was evicted by the sole vote of Enzo!!!! Ha! Ha! Britney, that is what you get for trusting Lane!!!! Adios, Britney!!!! Oh, oh, I cannot wait what will happen in the jury house when she gets there!!!!
In the meantime, in the jury house Ragan Fox arrived. Matt Hoffman confessed to Ragan about his lying on his wife's sickness. Ragan took it hard just like the others. Then Ragan decided to tell everyone that he has a PhD in communication and he is a professor. What happened afterwards was a confrontation between Rachel Reilly and Ragan!!! It seems like Ragan holds grudges for a long time and he is not one who can forgive and forget. I wonder why??? Does he think he is all that since he has a PhD??? I remembered him belittling Rachel before in the Big Brother house because of her job! But Rachel also has a Chemistry degree, so she is a smart lady. She probably is making more as a VIP cocktail waitress than if she would have worked as a chemist!!!! I was sooo amused at the confrontation of Rachel and Ragan that I wished the jury house was the one on instead of the 3 guys! The jury house now is more interesting that the Big Brother house, which is boring and yucky!!!! So, I am really glad that it is almost over!!! The Big Brother house has not been the same since Rachel left!!!!
The most important head of household competition is going on. On the first round, Hayden won. Wow!!!! The 3 guys were physically challenged at the competition, their bodies getting quite a beating with the wall and a waterfall! Britney should be glad that she is gone!!!! On the second round where Lane and Enzo had to compete, they have to guess which houseguests were merged together to create a monster picture! Both of them guessed right, but the faster one to do it was Lane...in 1.13minutes!!! I knew that Enzo will not do well on the competition. He has not won any HOH!!! He is lucky he is in an alliance!!!!
Hayden and Lane has to compete for round 3. Who will win the final HOH??? Who will be the final 2??? Will it be Hayden and Enzo, Lane and Enzo, or Hayden and Lane??? I bet the HOH will be Hayden and Hayden will probably win the half a million dollars!!! Any comments????

America's Got Talent, 09062010
Well, well, well... the 4 finalists at America's Got Talent were finally revealed!!! These acts are really good, and they can already perform in Las Vegas as far as I am concerned!!!! They are that good??? You bet!!! Before I reveal the 4 finalists, let me tell you who were the 10 semi- finalists were the 4 were picked from!!!
The 10 semi- finalists were: Prince Poppycock - singer with outrageous costumes; Christina and Ali - sisters singers; Studio One Young Beast Society - hip hop dancers with gymnastics; Michael Grasso - magician; Fighting Gravity - college guys who performs in the dark; Jackie Evancho - a young soprano; Jeremy Van Schoonhoven - bike daredevil; Anna and Patryk - young ballroom dancers; Michael Grimm - singer; and Taylor Mathews- singer.
Let us start with Prince Poppycock. He always puts on a good show, plus he has a very good operatic voice. And his costumes!!!! Ay..ya..yay... they are outlandish and really seems complicated!!! He said that he picks his materials for his costumes, I wonder if he sews it??? Does anyone know??? How about his makeup??? Does he do that too??? Where did he learn how to do his costumes and makeup, let alone how on earth did he come up with what he is going to do for his next act??? His act with the American theme was excellent!!! Everyone in the audience were on their feet!!! He must have a very good imagination!!! He is very talented, and I really think that he will be good in Las Vegas!!!!
Christina and Ali. Sorry, Ali, but I really think that Christina, the young one, should come back next year by herself!!! She has a very good voice! Her chances would have been better if she was by herself!!! Taylor Mathews is okay, but there are many more good singers in the competition, including Michael Grimm! Michael Grimm sang without his guitar, and the judges were all for it since he could move freely and not restrained by his guitar!!! I wonder if Taylor Mathews get rid of his guitar if he will be better like Michael??? Who knows??? It is too late now!!! There is always a next year!!!
How about Jackie Evancho??? She has a rare gift from God!!! Hopefully her voice will not change since she is soooo young!!! Wow!!!! Her parents has a gold mine in their midst!!! They should nurture her. Jackie seems to be very nice and polite, and her fame has not gotten in her head. Hope she stays that way!!!
Anna and Patryk. I knew that they are not going to the next level because the other acts were better. I was sooo horified when Anna fell down the stairs on their way to the dance floor. But like a true trooper, Anna got up and started dancing!!! But you can sense that she was kind of uptight after the incident. Oh, well, many people have the same mishap. She is not the only one, like the judges told her. I am sure that these 2 will go places with their dancing!!!
Studio One Young Beast Society. The young hip hop dancers that added some hard gymnastics on their dance routine. They executed their act very well but there are better acts than them. They are young and I am sure this will not be the last time that we will be hearing of them!!!
Jeremy Van Schoonhoven. My gosh!!! Is he out of his mind doing the very dangerous things with a bike??? He is really crazy and good with the manipulation of his bike!!! I wonder where he can perform his act??? Will people come and pay to see him??? How about Evil Knevil??? Did people pay to watch him??? There you go!!!
Michael Grasso. I was sooo disappointed that he did not make it to the next round. He was soooo good with his magic!!! I wonder, just like Howie, how he can exchange places and costumes with the other people??? His magic is really polished and very entertaining!!!
Fighting Gravity. These young college guys are very, very good!!! How did they come up with this act??? They have sooo much talent... I really think they already have a spot in Las Vegas!!!! Yes, they are that good!!!
The 4 finalists are Michael Grimm, Prince Poppycock, Fighting Gravity and Jackie Evancho!!! I think Jackie will win, but the others will have a spot in the Vegas limelight!!!!

Traffic Pains
Have you ever been stuck in traffic for a long time that you are ready to curse and leave your car in the traffic mess??? Yes??? You are not the only one!!! Many people have experience the stress and aggravation of being stuck in traffic either to go to work or on vacation.
What can you do??? Nothing really. Just expect for a miracle!! i expereienced wall to wall cars on the freeway several times. But there was one incident that I cannot forget. There was an accident, and the cars were on a standstill. There was no way out. Then I saw many cars going backwards towards an exit. Soon, more cars followed suit. Can you blame them??? Not really. The cars were stuck on the freeway for hours!!!! Can you just imagine how much time, money and fuel was wasted on this one occasion??? A lot!!!! And people's stress level must have been very high. Don't you wish that the car can just fly and take off??? That will be nice! But if that happens, the congestion will be in the sky!!! I would rather be stuck in traffic down than up!!!! Comments, anyone????
The traffic congestion is really something else, especially during summertime when the orange barrels appear on the roads! How about wintertime??? There is also congestion on the roads because of the snow that has not been cleared!!! And with wintertime, sometimes your commute is doubled!!! We cannot win, can we???
Some said that the traffic congestion in Los Angeles is nothing, compared to Mexico City or Beijing. The other traffic pains you will experience is in Johannesburg, Moscow and New Delhi!
What are the government going to do about this? Build a high speed rail system. The rail system has low CO2 emission than the cars or airplanes, plus it will relieve the traffic congestion!! Are you sure about this? No, but I am sure that some people have done research on this already!!!!
Well, make sure you have a nice CD, magazines, books, snacks and drinks on your car all the time so the next time you are stuck in traffic, you will have something to pass your time!!! Who knows, maybe if all the cars have snacks and drinks, then everyone can get out of the car and have a party!!! Wouldn't that be fun??? Ha! Ha! Ha! You are something else!!! You think of something all the time!!! Oh, well. That is better than moping and fuming in your car!!! This will be better for everybody's health!!!! Care to do this next time that you are stuck in traffic??? What do you guys think????

Bachelor Pad, 09062010
There are only 3 couples left on Bachelor Pad!!! And these couples are the ones that bonded and made a pact. It seems like in the other reality shows, it pays to hook up with other contestants who you think can keep you until the end of the show!!! Once you are an outcast or an outsider, you are sure that you will be going home! Is that what happened in this episode??? Yes!!!!
The show started with 3 women going home, since there are more women than men. The bachelors had to pick who they want as their partners. After picking their partners, they will be playing as couples. Kiptyn picked Tenley, Kovacs picked Elizabeth, Jesse B picked Peyton, and David picked Natalie!!!! The 3 women that left the show were Gwen Gioia, Nikki Kappke and Ashley Elmore. These 3 women knew that they will be going home since they are not romantically involved with any of the guys remaining.
The rose is up for grabs, and the couples had their first competition. It was a balloon throw and whoever is left standing with at least one balloon not breaking is the winner. The first couple eliminated was Jesse B and Peyton. Peyton was very hard on herself for breaking the balloons, but Jesse was all gentleman with terms of encouragement for Peyton! The winner was Natalie and David.
David and Natalie's date started with a hot, yellow Lamborghini which they drove off. But before they drove off the car, Elizabeth and Kovacs already had kissed and did some romancing on the car!!! It seems like this show is starting to belong to a playboy/playgirl station!!! Too much making out!!!! Needless to say, the women seems to be soooo cheap with the men and their acts are something else!!!! If you happen to flip the channel and see the couples, you would think that you are watching an X-rated film!!! Then why do you watch it??? I do not know. Maybe, sex really sells!!!! Then Elizabeth and Kovacs sneaked into the fantasy suite. What happened??? What do you think happened??? I don't know but I think once Elizabeth and Kovacs are gone from the bachelor pad that they will split out!!!! After all, Kovacs got what he wants from Elizabeth which Elizabeth gave without reservations!!!! My gosh!!! Elizabeth was all over Kovacs!!!! I do not know about her!!! Making out all the way on national TV!!! My! My! My!!! Where are our morals??? Down the tube... for perhaps fame!!!! In what??? To be a porno star???? Playgirl magazine???? Playboy magazine???Why not??? For big bucks!!!! Ha! Ha! Ha! I do not know about you!!!
Peyton Wright and Jesse Beck were sent home since they are the only couple that is not in a pact!!! Natalie promised Peyton, but she rescinded since David, Kovacs and Kiptyn are a very tight, solid group!!! The women cannot do anything to get Elizabeth and Kovacs eliminated!!!
Wow!!! This show is nothing but all kissing and romance!!!! Isn't this what it is all about??? Isn't the purpose is to find your love and win some $250,0000??? Then why is it on primetime TV??? I thought with shows like this that it should be at a later time!!!! Even our TV censorship seems to be lax. Oh, well. You are also watching it!!!! I know, I know, but in our household, I am the only one who watches it. The others stay away from the show!!!! Why do you watch it??? I guess it is a good subject to blog!!!! Too juicy!!! Ha! Ha! Ha! At least you are honest!!!!
Next week is the last episode, which I am glad. I cannot wait to see a wholesome show, Dancing With The Stars soon!!! It looks like you are advertising for DWTS!!!! You got that right!!!!
Have a good day!!!

Labor Day Saga continues....
Labor Day is here!!!! For some people, it is the end of a 3 day vacation!!!! What do you mean " for some people?" You mean, a majority of people?? Why?? Many are returning back to school tomorrow, and the school age children, teenagers and adults are returning back to school!!!
How about barbecues and picnics today??? I do not know about others, but we did it over the weekend! Why??? Today is the holiday!!! Well, for one thing it was better over the weekend since you can recuperate better with your sleeping, eating etc...etc.... Am I right or what???
Going to the mall over the weekend, there were soooo many sales, and a lot of people shopping!!! You will think that the economy is booming, looking at all the lines paying for their merchandise!!! What do you mean??? People were really buying over the weekend!!! Well, it is the start of the new school year, naturally everyone will be buying clothes and shoes. This weekend is no judge for the economy!!! The stores have deep discounts on shoes and clothes and it is still going on today!!!! And many stores are really trying to lure you into spending your precious dollars!!!! Many people though are really looking for a good sale, and that includes me!!!! El cheapo!!!! Ha! Ha! Ha! you got that right!!!!
We also bought over the weekend, groceries, toiletries etc...etc... for a college bound youngster. Even the groceries had some discounts on some items!!!! They know that people are hurting so the stores are offering many discounts!!! It helps also if you have a loyalty card for a grocery store!!!!
Well, what will you do today??? R & R!!! Rest and recuperation since the company is gone, and you do not have to cook because there are many, many leftovers!!!! Yum!!! Yum!!!! Oh, I just love the holidays!!!! Good food and good company!!!! Is that not right???? Maybe we can mosy over the mall also and see if there any good bargains left!!!!
Wow!!!! This holiday, you kept on talking about it.... 3 days!!!! What happened to you??? I was drunk..... with the food, excitement and company!!!! What else??? Ha! Ha! Ha! You thought I will say, drunk with booze??? Sorry, not this one!!!! I only drink pop and H2O!!!! WOW!!! My! My! My! Now she is trying to be a smart aleck!!!! I do not know about you!!!!
Okay, I will stop now. I have to go...till next time...take care, and have a good week!!!!!

Labor Day Weekend
Wow!!! Labor Day is here!!! Soon hot summer days will be a thing of the past again. No more shorts, no more tank tops, no more bathing suits, no more barbecue, no more white outfits!!! Pretty soon, it will be football season again, cold winter, dreary days and that white stuff falling from the sky!!!! Pretty soon, it will be new programs on television!!!! No more reruns!!!! Hep! Hep! Hurray!!!!
I like holidays, because it means seeing relatives and friends, parties and good eating!!! What I do not like about it is that I tend to overeat resulting in a wider waistline!!! I see a lot of heads bobbing up and down!!! What can we do so we do not overeat??? Nothing!!! Just keep eating and hopefully exercise after eating!!! I know, I know, it is easier said than done. Oh, well, just enjoy the day, the food and the companionship of the people surrounding us. We have to take advantage of these days because it seems it is hard to come by nowadays with everyone soooo busy with their lives!!! Sometimes we missed the camaraderie of our relatives and friends. Seize every opportunity with your love ones because life is short!!! Right???? Comments????
Right now, while I am writing the blog, I feel soooooo full that I think I will have to cut this short. Plus my company is waiting for me for endless gossipping!!!! Ha! Ha! Ha! I am just kidding!!! I have to go.... I can smell the corn on the cob cooking in the microwave. It is calling me to eat it!!!! It is soooo fresh and soooo sweet per someone who already tasted it!!!
So, for now, adieu, sayonara..... happy labor day!!!!!! Have a safe, happy and healthy day!!!

Labor Day, 2010
Labor Day is a holiday celebrated in the United States and Canada on the first Monday in September, September 6th in 2010, to honor the laborer. It is an annual holiday celebrating the economic and social achievement of workers. The first labor day was celebrated on September 5, 1882 in New York City and made a national holiday by the United States congress in 1884.
Labor Day is celebrated traditionally by most Americans as the symbolic end of summer and the end of vacation season. The holiday is often regarded as a day of rest and parties which include picnics, barbecues, etc. Oh, yeah! It is the end of the summer picnics and barbecue!!!! Barbecues are sooo good, I do not know why we have to limit ourselves to spring and summer for barbecues. Why??? Do you want to barbecue in the middle of winter, in the snow??? If you can.. and your grill is not buried in the snow, go for it!!!! Stop!!! Please do not talk anymore of snow. Brrr... just the thought of it makes me sooo cold!!!!!
Families with school age children take it as a last chance to travel before the children goes back to school! That is right!!! It is the start of a new schoolyear and the start of the football season!!!! It is also the end of wearing white!!!! What do you mean?? I have not even worn my whites a lot this year, and before you know it, it is done, over, kaput!!!! Not fair!!! Oh, well, then wear white all year round!!! Who cares??? Why can't we not wear white on wintertime anyway??? Because, for obvious reasons!!! Like what??? It becomes dirty with the snow coming down!!! Excuse me, that is a very lame excuse!!!! Does anyone even know the reason why whites cannot be worn after Labor Day??? When did it start to be a tradition in the United States???
Some people believed that the no white pertains only to white shoes, not the clothing. White shoes are summer attire and it is tacky to wear them when summer is over. Lots of etiquette experts does not know where the rule came from and thus cannot explain it. The practical explanation is that wearing white was a way to stay cool since white is of a lighter weight. In the old days people know what class you were by what you wore and the upper class would never wear white after labor day and all lower classes did. Nowadays, many think it is okay to wear white after Labor Day. So, are we going to wear whites after labor Day??? To wear white or not to wear whites. That is the question!!!! So, folks, what is it??? Comments, anyone????
Whatever everybody is doing on Labor Day, make it a fun filled, safe holiday!!!! Happy barbecuing and happy eating!!!!!

Big Brother, 08292010
Big Brother is down to the final 4 houseguests!!! Can you guess who the final four are??? Can you just tell us??? Hold on, where is your patience??? It went away this morning, never to return again!!!! Ha! Ha!Ha! You sound sooo pathetic!!!! First of all, never say never. Of course I will let you know who the final 4 are, but you have to wait a little bit!!!!
A lot of things happened at the Big Brother house. Like what? There was a double eviction for one thing. Oh, oh, sounds like a lot of fun!!! You bet!!!
Let us start with Britney Haynes as the head of household. She nominated Brendon Villegas and Enzo Palumbo for eviction. Who won the power of veto?? Brendon which cost him his hair!!! What?? Yup!!! His hair was shaved off!!!! He looks okay though with a bald head. It is a good thing he is good looking, otherwise he would look awful!!! Needless to say, Brendon dodged eviction!!! Since Brendon used the power of veto on himself, Britney had to look for a replacement for Brendon. Since Matt Hoffman was trying to tell Britney to put his best friend Ragan Fox on the chopping block, Britney backdoored Matt much to the delight of the other brigade members!!! So off went Matt to the jury house!!!! Little did they all know that there is a double eviction that day!!!!
Right after the eviction the power is up for grabs for the new head of household. Hayden Moss was winning, followed very closely by Brendon. Hayden though beat him by just a few seconds. Enzo Palumbo and Brendon were nominated for eviction. And this time, Brendon really got evicted, since Enzo won the power of veto. Britney replaced Enzo and Brendon's fate was sealed!!!! Finally, Brendon said sayonara to the houseguests!!!! It sure took him a long time to be evicted!!!!
Competition for HOH was done once again. This time it was Lane Elenburg that won!!! It is about time that he won! He has never won anything!! Why?? I think he was just riding on the coattails of the other brigade members!!! Who did he nominate for eviction?? None other than Ragan Fox, for obvious reasons, and Enzo.
In the meantime, in the jury house, Rachel was having the time of her life relaxing, when Kathy Hillis came in. Next came Matt Hoffman, then Brendon!!! Rachel was disappointed to see her man come to the jury house. But that did not last very long. Soon they were on each other's arms!!! Is this real love??? What do you guys think??? Comments??? How about when Matt told the others that his wife's sickness was fake??? You should have seen Kathy's and Rachel's faces!!!! They were sooo mad at Matt, I wonder if they are even going to talk to him at all in the jury house??? What do you think is Matt's wife's saying about all this lie about her??? Will their marriage crumble??? Or will they just brush this episode and continue on with their lives??? Do you think Matt told his wife what he was planning to do before he went inside the Big Brother's house??? Who knows???
Who won the power of veto?? Enzo won, who was replaced on the hot seat by Hayden!!! By a vote of 2-0, Ragan, the cry baby professor was evicted!!!
Who will win the HOH?? I would rather see any of the 3 guys win the HOH!! Britney is wishy washy. She will lie her way to everyone and was in the coattail of Lane for a long time!!! I will be surprised if she ends up in the top 3!!! Unless Lane really likes her and push for her to be in the top 3!!! Lane, forget her.. she has someone outside of the Big Brother's house!!! It will be interesting though to see who will end up with the prize money!!!!

America's Got Talent, 09012010
Finally, the remaining 5 semi- finalists of America's Got Talent have been unleashed!!! They are the creme of the crop, and the talents ranged from singing to dangerous acts to a 10 year old diva.
Let us start with Nick Cannon, the emcee. Wow, when I saw him on the stage, I was wondering what was he wearing!!! Why??? I thought his outfit was a lounging robe!!!! Ha! Ha! Ha! It is probably a very expensive outfit, but to me it reminded me of a lounging robe!!! Has anybody seen it??? Any comments anyone??? Am I an outfit ignoramus???? Ha! Ha! Ha! Thanks, Piers, now I have a new word!!!!
Who were the 12 acts? They are the following: Michael Grasso - magician; Michael Lipari and Ashleigh Dejon - acrobats/ circus; Master Alexander Bui - pianist; Jackie Evancho - 10 year old operatic singer; Murray - magician; Fighting Gravity - fraternity students where the act is done in pitch black; Nathaniel Kenyon - singer; Alice Tan Ridley - singer performing in subways; Studio One Young Beast Society - hip hop dancers; Haspop - dance with a very flexible body; Debra Romer - singer; Jeremy VanSchoonhoven - daredevil bike!
There were 2 magicians: Michael Grasso and Murray. Murray made a large train disappear from the stage, and Michael Grasso, making the lady from the cage disappear, and Michael Grasso disappearing from the stage to appear behind the judges, giving Sharon Osbourne a red rose! Both are good acts, but Michael Grasso's execution was better than Murray.
Maestro Alexander Bui, a young pianist who was superb! Howie Mandell did not get it and gave Bui an X. That is when Piers Morgan called Howie Mandell a " cultural ignoramus." Ha! Ha! Ha! Good for you, Piers, for standing up to a real talent, which the likes of Howie does not understand!!! Now, Howie has a nameplate with cultural ignoramus on it!!!! I think he made the sign just so he can hide his embarrassment!!!! Right??? I just love the show because of the 2 men always on each others throats!!!! Is this real or just a show to make America's Got Talent juicy and entertaining???? What do you guys think??? Poor Sharon, she has to learn to duck in case there ever is a pie throwing or a fist fight!!! Do not pity Sharon, these judges make big, big bucks that you and i will probably never see in our lifetime!!!! You are soooo right!!!! Back to AGT......
Fighting Gravity. How about it??? They are the best new, original act that has graced this planet since the Blue Men!!!! They deserve to already have a show in Las Vegas!!!! I can't just imagine how these college guys came with this idea!!! They are brilliant!!!! Their greatest competitor is Jackie Evancho whose voice is really mind boggling!!! To sing like that at a tender age??? My! my! my! Her parents are soooo lucky.... they have a rare gem in their hands. Hopefully, they will not be as manipulative like the other parents of celebrities and that they will continue to live in peace and harmony!!!!
Debra Romer, the singer, is starting to come out of her coccoon. She is not as timid as before. Although she is not a semi-finalist, I think she will go a long way with her voice and looks!!! In fact, she announced that there are some people that are wanting to pay and sign her up!!! Good for her!!!!
How about Jeremy VanSchoonhoven, the bike daredevil?? Like Sharon says, he is like Evil Knevil. It seems Jeremy is not afraid to try out anything to further himself!! He sure is very brave with all the stunts he has been doing!!!!!
Well, the 5 semi- finalists that will compete with the other five are: Studio One Young Beast Society, Jeremy VanSchoonhoven, Michael Grasso, Jackie Evancho and Fighting Gravity!
We are going to be treated to a good show next week. After all, the best 10 acts will be performing!!! Care to bet who will end up as the winner of the million dollar gig in Las Vegas??? To me, it seems that it will be a toss up between Fighting Gravity and Jackie Evancho!!! How about you, what do you think????

Eggs
The incredible, edible egg. Everyone likes eggs. Are you sure about that??? No, not really. But I thought since it is a good source of protein that many people like it!!!!
Eggs are laid by females of different species including birds, reptiles, amphibians and fish. The most common are eggs from chickens! How about quail eggs?? I heard it is a delicacy. I have not tasted it so I wouldn't know how that taste!! Any comments, anyone??? Eggs are sold in the supermarket as medium, large, extra large and jumbo. Most eggs used for recipes are large eggs. The eggs are usually unfertilized since the hens are confined to themselves, without the rooster. How about the eggs with the unhatched embryo that is eaten in some parts of the world??? Yuck!!! That is gross!! You can even see the beak and feathers inside the shell. Have you tasted it??? Just the egg yolk, which tastes good and the white of the egg that is sooo hard!!! I have eaten the "balut" minus the embryo!!!! People eat the embryo because they believe it is an aphrodisiac!!! Anyone want to try it??? Try it, you might like it!!!! Not me!!!!
The recent recall of eggs is the largest in the United States history, more than half a billion has the risk of Salmonella infection. Did you know that all the eggs in question where produced in an egg factory where the hens were crammed inside tiny wire cages of just 67 square inches of space to live??? The tiny wire cages are so restrictive that they can barely moved! It is cruelly confining and the hens are forced to live in misery. That is why many European countries have ban this system of confinement, and they will phase it out by 2012. . Hopefully the United States will follow with the ban. With the recent massive recall, they have to!!!
How about labeling of egg cartons? There is petition with the Food and Drug Administration urging the agency to mandate egg production labeling, including," eggs from caged hen." Similar consumer protection is already in place in Australia and the European nation!
How do you test for freshness of an egg? Fill a deep bowl with water. Carefully lower the egg into the water. If the egg is very fresh, the egg will sink immediately to the bottom, and lie flat on its side. Why? Because the air cell within the egg is very small. The egg should also feel quite heavy. As the egg starts to lose its freshness, it will float with the smaller end lying on the bottom of the bowl. The egg is still good to eat. If the egg fully floats in the water and does not touch the bottom, discard the egg! It is a bad egg!!!!
How can you tell a raw egg from a hard boiled egg?? There is a simple test. Spin the egg carefully on a countertop. The hard boiled egg will spin because it is solid and it will spin in one direction. The raw egg will not spin because the inside sloshes on different directions and therefore does not allow it to spin. Try it and see!!!
Well, well, well, now you know a little about eggs. Are you going to cook some??? Deviled eggs will be good. And so with omelet tomorrow morning!!!! A word of advice... check first if the eggs you have is part of the recall!!!!!
