Whenever you check out on the grocery stores, you will hear paper or plastic? Most of the time, or 99 % of the time, I always say plastic! Why? Because the plastic bag is easier to carry, and because I use it as a garbage bag on the little trash cans at home. The plastic bags are usually stack with three or four in one can, so when it is full, the filled bag is removed and transferred to the larger trash can! Sounds ingenious??? You bet!!! But I am not to get the credit for this.... I learned it from my sister!!!! Nice to learn something new from my sister!!!! Thanks, sis!!!! That is some form of recycling!!! How about you? What else do you use the plastic bags for????
Sometimes, I ask for a paper bag. Why???? When I need it, like for a book cover or when there is a trip somewhere that the paper bag is needed!! I guess you can use it as trash can liners, but it is big and bulky especially if you only have a small garbage can! So, you do not really like to use the paper bags??? Not really. The paper bag uses more storage space than the plastic bag!!!
Have you ever wondered how and when the paper and plastic bags started??? Oh, oh, here she comes now with the history of the bags!!! We do not really want to hear it! Sorry, but whether you like it or not, here it comes!!! You never know when you are going to use the facts, like if you are ever to go to a game show.... then you will be prepared!!!! Sigh.... You are exhausting me!!!! Since I cannot stop you, sock it to us!!!
Paper bags come from trees. Everybody knows that!!!! Duh!!!! Did you know that the paper bag was an American innovation in 1883??? It is made of kraft paper, a German word meaning strong. Wow!!! That is ancient!!!! Plastic bags, on the other hand, began in 1957 as sandwich bags and baggies! It was not until around 1996 that the plastic grocery bags hit the stores! I remember when it used to be just paper bags in the grocery stores, and just suddenly, bam!!! the plastic bags were born!!!!
I guess the plastic bags are easier to carry than paper bags and it seems more sturdy than the paper bags. I will disagree with you on this one. I think a paper bag is sturdier and can hold more items than a plastic bag. Does anyone know??? Why don't you experiment and let us know??? Sorry, but I do not like homework!!! Oh, well, just a thought!!!
What do you guys think? Is it better to use plastic or paper??? Well, for one thing, both contribute to pollution. Look at all the landfill, how much paper or plastic are in the landfills??? Plus, how about the chemicals used to manufacture both products??? And the trees that are cut down for paper bags??? I get it!
But what are we suppose to use for groceries? How about a reusable bag made of cloth that can be used over and over??? Sometimes, I see people with that bag, and I applaud them for being environmentally savvy!! Maybe one of these days.
What do you guys think?? Some places are charging a few cents for plastic bags now. That is why I do not go to those stores!!! Why do they have to charge a fee for plastic bags?? Groceries are already expensive as it is!! But, maybe, if the stores do that, then people will start using reusable bags!! Please do not give the stores any ideas!!!! It seems far fetched now, but wait down the road, anything to get more of our hard earned money!!!!
Why is it that in the wholesale clubs, they do not give any bags??? It is the empty boxes in front of the store that you use to haul your groceries! To cut down on costs??? Hmmm... maybe one of these days, I will ask that question! I am just curious!!! Curiosity kills a cat!!! I am not a cat! I just want to know for my own satisfaction!!! Anyone feeling the same????
I guess both bags have equal effect on our environment! It is up to us to decide which has the less amount of pollution, toxicity and litter that will be created....paper bags or plastic bags????? No one can tell us what to do. Are we prepared to change? That is a very good question that only each of us can answer!!!

Meat lover or Vegetarian
Are you a meat lover or a vegetarian?
A vegetarian!!! Why?? Because for obvious reasons, the benefits are tremendous!!! Vegetarians do no eat red meat which is not too good for you!!! But beef is a good source of Vitamin B12 which is good for the nervous system and is also a good source of zinc, phosphorus and iron!!! You can also find those vitamins and nutrients in vegetables, fruits, nuts, seeds, cereal grains, and dairy products, which are basically the vegetarian diet!!!
A meat lover!!! Why??? I love meat, chicken, fish, lobster, crabs and shellfish! Those are yummy foods that you just said!! What do you love about it??? The taste, of course!!! Don't you realize though that cows are mostly raised in crowded conditions, that is why they are given antibiotics to fight infection??? To fatten the cows quickly, they are dosed with growth hormones!! Wow!!! If the cows are given antibiotics routinely and fed growth hormones, do we not get those somehow in our system when we eat beef???? I do not know. I wonder if this contributes to the diseases we come down with??? I do not know, but I will not be surprised!! Does anyone have any comments?????

If someone buys an organic fruit or vegetable, which is more expensive, and does not wash it good, you will end up sick!!! My, my, my, what do we eat???Grow your own garden, and grow your own livestock and poultry!!! That is a good answer, but not feasible, especially if you live in the city!!! A very good thought though!!!

There is one thing a friend of mine taught me what to do with beef, chicken or pork before cooking. Boil the washed meat, rinse the meat and discard the water. In this way, the junk that is on the meat will not be on your food that you are eating!!! This really makes sense to me, don't you all agree???

100th Day Blogging
Wow!!!! Hurray!!!! Yippeeee!!!!Today is the 100th day of my blogging!!!! How about that??? Are you impressed??? It has been a long way since a few months ago that I do not even know the computer! What do you mean, you still do not know the computer!!!! Shhhhhhh..... I know a little bit now. I know how to paste and copy. Everybody knows that! LOL. Oh, well. Now, I can peck the keyboard faster and furiously!!! Woo... hoooo.... I am impressed! What else can you do??? Baseball Blunder
Baseball!!! Why are you going to talk about baseball???? You do not even watch it! Well, even though I do not watch it, I still hear the comings and goings of the different teams on the radio, television and Internet!!!! I was just so amazed that the baseball world is now under the eyes of the whole world!!!! You would think that it will just hit the local news. But to hit the worlwide news???? Yes, sir!!!! The newscasters had a field day with it!!! Can you blame them? Of course not!!!! But that is good that it happened, because now the MLB ( Major League Baseball) has to examine their umpiring and scoring technique!!! Wow!!! A very hot topic around the globe, like a wildfire!!!! Even though I am not a subject matter expert on baseball, I will put in my 2 cents on this subject!!! Do you have a problem with that????
Detroit is on the world news!!! How about that??? This time it has nothing to do with unemployment, foreclosure, and crime!!! It is about a world class pitcher that had his perfect game, only to be marred by a ninkampoop umpire!!! You are right!!!! So, who are the main casts??? The stars leading the lineup is none other than an umpire veteran of 21 years, Jim Joyce, and the very own Detroit Tigers pitcher, Armando Galarraga!!! It was the greatest blunder an umpire has done against the Tigers, robbing Galarraga of a perfect game!!!! What exactly did Jim Joyce do?? Galarraga was one out away from his third perfect game of 2010, when Jim Joyce missed the call at the first base with the Cleveland Indians Jason Donald! Detroit Tigers Miguel Cabrera threw the ball to Galarraga who was covering the first base. Galarraga beat Jason Donald to the first base, but dumb Jim Joyce must not have seen it! Did he missed it because of poor eyesight or maybe all he remembers is just the sign for safe in baseball??? He must have had a brain fart, at that time!!! LOL. You are sooo stupid!!! Well, after all, he seems to be an old foggy!!!! Ha! Ha! Ha! Now, now, watch it, kiddo!!! No name calling!! Even Galarraga who was the victim did not hurl any expletives to Joyce!!!! Or was Jim Joyce far and in an angle that he did not see the real thing??? Why is there only one umpire in baseball??? Are there not other referees present in the game??? I do not really know, since I do not know baseball!!!
When Galarraga saw that he won against Jason Donald, he and his teammates were ecstatic! And so were the Detroit Tigers fans at Comerica Park in Detroit!!! Little did they know that there is an umpire named Jim Joyce that will burst their bubble!!! True enough, when they looked at Joyce, his call was in favor of the Indians!!! When Galarraga saw Joyce's hands, he just simply smiled and said nothing!!! What a genleman!!! He will surely go down in baseball history as a world class athlete, never losing his cool and a perfect gentleman!!! Even though he was robbed of a perfect game on this day, everyone on the whole world think otherwise!!! Just look at the replay of the video! Jim Joyce apologized to Galarraga that the call was a mistake, but the damage had been done! Not even the MLB commissioner, Bud Selig can undo what has already been done! Plus, the Tigers did not question the call when it happened! Ya, why didn't Leland, the Tigers coach questioned the call? They were probably in shocked??? Or maybe, in baseball, you cannot challenge an umpire??? Why is that??? I do not know, but they are crazy for not questioning that man! After all, he is just a man that can make the biggest mistake in his career!!!
How come in other sports, like football, as soon as there is a question, there is an instant replay of the previous play, and right there and there, a decision is made??? Why would baseball be any different??? You are asking me??? Ask the people in charge.... they are doing this for a long, long time!!!! Who knows????
There is a good thing that is coming out of all this hoopla. What??? The Major League Baseball will go to the drawing board and see what they can do to improve the quality of umpiring and the incorporation of replay! It is about time that they do something about it!!!!

Exercise
What is a very good exercise that will burn a lot of calories? There are plenty. Let us see. How about playing football or basketball? Forget those two! You cannot do it by yourself! How about backpacking??? Yikes!!! You have to go climb up and down the road in the wilderness!! There are many strange animals, and if you are by yourself, you might get lost!!! That is out of the question!!!! Okay, how about a high impact aerobics? I do not even know what that is!!! I have to enroll in a class to do that!! Swimming? If I do not have a swimming pool, I have to go to a public place! Forget that one also!!! Stair treadmill?? I have to buy or join a gym!!! Rope jumping??? Hmmm.... I have to buy one! Bowling??? Besides, being expensive, it does not burn a lot of calories!!!! Dancing? I have to find a partner! Golfing? That is a very expensive form of exercise!!! I am sure there are many other inexpensive ways to exercise that will not put a dent on your wallet!!! You are hopeless, I told you many forms of exercises and all you can say is no, no, no!!! I give up!!! No,please do not give up. I am sure if you think hard you can find something! DING...DING.... DING..... I got it!!!! Walking!!!! Bingo!!!! You got that right!!!!!Walking, jogging or running?? First, let us analyze what the differences are between the three?? Oh, oh, here she goes! She is going to put on her analytical cap! Not really, I am going to Wikipedia!!! Ha! Ha! Ha! Running begins when both feet are off the ground with each step. Sprinting is running fast. Jogging is a form of running at a slow or leisurely pace, with less stress on the body. Jogging at 5mph burns a lot of calories! Walking, on the other hand, is different from running. Of course, it is! Shhh, let me finish!!! In walking, only one foot at a time leaves contact with the ground and there is a period of double support!!! It is a gentle, low impact exercise, and you do not need to practice!!! Hep, hep, hurray!!! We found an inexpensive way to exercise!!!!
A minimum walk of 30 to 60 minutes a day , 5 days a week, with correct posture has overall health benefits. I have seen meny of my friends lost weight because of walking everyday! I wish I can be like them. Maybe someday!!! Forget about someday! Someday is now!!! Now or never!! Wowie!!! Sounds like an Elvis Presley song!! Ha! Ha! Ha! You are sooo stupid!!!
Kidding aside, there are a growing number of people walking... in the parks, and at the malls. Just go to the mall, and watch. You will be amazed at how many people are walking. Some of them cannot hardly make that step, but they are still walking. I feel ashamed of myself when I see that, and here I am, just after two turns, I try to stop. Well, you have to start slowly. And gradually you will build your stamina!!! A word of caution: make sure that you have comfortable shoes and clothing, and that you have talk to your doctor before going to any exercise regimen! Sounds good??? Okay, America and Canada, let us all walk for a healthy country!!!

Kidding aside, there are a growing number of people walking... in the parks, and at the malls. Just go to the mall, and watch. You will be amazed at how many people are walking. Some of them cannot hardly make that step, but they are still walking. I feel ashamed of myself when I see that, and here I am, just after two turns, I try to stop. Well, you have to start slowly. And gradually you will build your stamina!!! A word of caution: make sure that you have comfortable shoes and clothing, and that you have talk to your doctor before going to any exercise regimen! Sounds good??? Okay, America and Canada, let us all walk for a healthy country!!!

America's Got talent
America's Got Talent is back!!!
The three judges are Sharon Osbourne, Piers Morgan, and Howie Mandel. I am sooo glad that Howie is the new judge. He is soooo funny, and his expression changes with every performer!! Sharon's expression changes too. It is not the same with Howie!! I think this season will be better with him! See for yourself, and let us know what you think!!! How about Piers? Forget him, he is sooo uptight, he barely cracks a smile! How about the emcee? You mean Nick Cannon? He is such a kid on the sideline! He makes his own antics and copies whatever the performers are doing. He is good!! Such a ham!!! No wonder Mariah Carey married him!!!
The first audition was held in Los Angeles. As usual, there were so many hopefuls that auditioned. There were good performers, mediocre ones, and really, really bad acts. There were even some acts that were gruesome which the judges decided to go the next round!!! Yes, it was horrible..... knives going inside their mouth to their throat, then a long, large needle-like object piercing their mouth to their cheek. It seems so gruesome, but the judges and people liked it! You can see the people grimacing and hear their moans and wails with every move of the performers, but they want to see more!!! Phew!!! That is sooo disgusting!! Anything, I guess for money!!! I guess that is better than doing nothing!!! But what a way to earn a living!!! Don't you all agree???
Then there was a choir of veterans that used to be homeless. They were really good!!! The voice that was really good was the guy with a big voice! What do they call the people with that kind of voice?? A baritone?? Please correct me if I am wrong!!! But I think with proper guidance and a few more practice, they will be good to go!!! Sounds like a commercial to me!!! Ha! Ha! Ha!
There was also this one guy that came like a homeless, unkempt, dirty guy wearing a flowing robe! He sang and played the piano at the same time! Wow!!! I cannot believe my ears!!! He has a very good, voice!!! I just did not like it when he started to change his melody and pitch somewhere between his song! He should have left that. Anyway, I think everybody were pleasantly surprised thet he was able to deliver such a good performance!!!! He is a voice teacher. No wonder!!! Wait, there are some voice teachers that does not have a good voice!!! You are right!!! But going back to the contestant. He was not dressed appropriately with the talent he has!! Well, looks can really be deceiving and you cannot really judge a book by its cover!!! I should have learned my lesson already. But I guess that is human nature, we quickly judge someone by their appearance which is not good! Oh, well. Any comments???
How about the guy from India that does an impression of people??? He is sooo bad but hilarious, that is why he is going to the next phase! You should have seen his imitation of Arnold Schwarzenegger!!! He is delirious and crazy!!! I think Howie was having such a good time with him that he convinced Sharon for the guy to go through to the next hurdle!!! He looked sooo stupid!!!! Ha! Ha! Ha!
The first and the last acts were the best for me. Needless to say there were very many talents in Los Angeles!!! I think we will be in for a good treat on this show with sooo many raw talents in America!!!!

Bachelorette, 05312010
The current bachelorette, Ali Fedotowsky, is really enjoying every minute of her stunt as the Bachelorette! You can really see it from her eyes, gestures and body language!!!! Why would she not be, with many men vying for her attention and love!!! You can see that as soon as she enters the room that the bachelors are swooning, and their eyes looks like they are popping out of the sockets!!! Yes, Ali is beautiful, and she has a beautiful body that she flaunts all the time!!! Wouldn't you, if you are gorgeous, has a nice body, surrounded by lots of men and sky is the limit for your clothes and entertainment??? Of course you would!!!!
Her first date was with Frank, a retail manager from Illinois, who gave up his job in the past to pursue screenplay writing and lived in Paris! I thought when he said he lived in Paris, I thought it was for several years!!! No, it was only for 1 1/2 months!!!! What? You are not impressed that he was in Paris? Not really. I thought it was for several years and he knows how to talk in French! He has a very limited French vocabulary and he was there for only 1 1/2 months!!! At least, give him credit for going to a strange country with a very high standard of living!!!! Okay, I guess I will do that since this is Ali's show, and not Frank's!!! Back to their date. There was an antique top down car waiting for them outside the front door of the house. What make and model was it? Who cares?? I do not know, but I know that it is antique!! After a few minutes on the freeway, the car died on them!!!! Wow!!!! What a car!!!! Don't the executives/ producers check the transportation before it is handed to the cast members??? Or is it part of the show, to show them walking back from the freeway to the house???? Hmmm.... Anything to boost the ratings!!! Don't you guys think so???? They ended up in Los Angeles, in Hollywood, and then underneath the Hollywood sign. They have a lot of balls going down the steep incline to be under the sign!!!! I will give Ali and Frank credit for that!!! I wonder if ordinary people can climb up there and sit??? Does anyone know??? There they started kissing again!!! Are you jealous? Ha! Ha! Ha! After this episode they went to a lookout where they can see LA after dark. They sat on top of the car's hood and kissed some more, while drinking!!!! I have a thought, with sooo much drinking involved, don't some of the contestants get crazy with their driving, or is there a designated driver with them??? You are thinking so much. LOL. Leave the nitty gritty details to the producers!!!! I couldn't help it, I just thought about that!!! Did Ali came out with monkey lips for smooching sooo much with Frank??? That is a good question!!!!
The second date was a group date with the men doing a photo shoot for charity. Some men were protesting for their skimpy bathing suits, but cannot do anything!!! The calendars might end up in your house!!! Are you crazy? You will get one, only if you buy it!!! Are you going to buy one to see your favorite bachelor???
The third date was a fancy once with Jesse, a contractor from Missouri. They were whisk by a jet to Vegas and drove a sports car. They spent all day swimming and dancing! Seems like Jesse is very bashful and cannot dance. He seems to be unable to do the first move! Ali had to prompt him!!!! What is wrong with you, dude??? You are not as aggresive as Frank!!! I would not have given a rose to him!!! Maybe, once Ali got him going though, he might have been okay. Let us give him the benefit of a doubt!
In the meantime, something was brewing in the bachelor's pad, between Jonathan, the weatherman from Texas, and Craig, the dental salesman from Sarnia, Canada. Craig learned from Ali that someone told her that he was dangerous, and he is not there for the right reason. Did Ali heed Jonathan's advice??? Well, she asked Craig. Craig cannot answer and cannot even look at Ali!!! I think Craig is a pompous, egoistic, and an arrogant man!!! Good job, Ali, for not giving him a rose! Good riddance!!!!!
It seems the producers are really being extravagant in this production with Ali. Well, for one thing, they surely can afford it because it is only Ali that they are paying!!! Supposing, Ali is getting a million dollars for the show, how much are the producers getting on their commercials??? Tenfold of what Ali is making!!! Any comments????
