The Amazing Race episode started with the teams going to Norway, with the doctors, Nat and Kat arriving first in Narvik in search of a gondola to ride the mountain top to find the next clue. Their clue was the first Fast Forward of the race where they have to travel to a restaurant to participate in a traditional Norwegian Christmas ritual - eating an entire roasted sheep's head, with each member eating half! Once done, they can skip the other tasks and proceed directly to the Pit Stop! That is not too bad, except Kat has been a vegetarian for 22 years!!! They had to make jokes about it to be able to eat the whole thing! Did they succeed???
The other team members had to go from the gondola station to Skjombrua Bridge where one team member had to step off the deck on the bridge and rappel to the water below to signal a boat for the next clue. Then they had to haul themselves back up with a mechanical ascend, 130 feet back to the top of the bridge! Wow, the descend was no problem, but the ascend was painstaikingly hard for everyone! You really need strength, stamina, and guts!
The next clue was in Harvika where they have to choose between Bike and Boats! In Bike, teams had to ride mountain bikes in rough terrain until they find a board with the lock combination for their bikes which they have to memorize!!! On Boats, teams had to go to a fishing trawler and direct the captain to a marked spot on the shore. Then they must carry 2 large fish and a chain saw to a summer lodge. Once thes tasks were completed successfully, the teams can proceed to the Pit Stop!
Naturally, the Fast Forward team emerged as the winning team, the first one to arrive in the Pit Stop, in Ankenes Marina! Nat and Kat won another trip - this time to Costa Rica! The last team to arrive was the volleyball buddies! Katie Seamon, 23 from Rahway, New Jersey and Rachel Johnston, 24, Moorestown, New Jersey. So long, Katie and Rachel!!!!
Will the doctors keep their winning streak?? Who will be eliminated??? Stay tuned......
