Politics! Anyone want to discuss this with me? No? I do not really want to talk about politics either. For the majority of my adult life ( Ha!), I stayed away from politics. I became engrossed with it only eight years ago, and it continued until now. Why? For obvious reasons. First, I thought our religious liberty was being jeopardized, and I did not like that. Next, our health insurance was a disaster. It was terrible! It seems that our money was just going to the premiums, medicine, co pay, deductible etc, etc. Next, the cost of everything is very high....food, gas, electricity. The rich is getting richer and the poor is getting poorer! There are quite a bit of people that are in the corners asking for money, which is not right. America has money, but it keeps giving the money everywhere. Should our government take care of its citizens first? Of course, it should! But alas, it is not happening.... so I liked what President Donald John Trump said on his inauguration.... America first!
Speaking of President Trump...I do not understand why there are soooo many people against him? Is it because they cannot continue on doing what they have been doing, that is, getting richer and more powerful? They are already powerful and rich! so, why do they want more? GREED!!! That is correct! Watch it, my dear people, you cannot take your money, fame and glory with you when you die! Plus, you have to face God on your death bed! So, please do not be soooo greedy!
Now, how about the actors and celebrities who boycotted him on his inauguration? Never mind! You were not needed! The day and celebration went really fine without you! People had a fun time without all of you! We do not really care to know if you voted for him or not! He won! The people have spoken! You were all supposed to be a role model for the younger generation. But what did you do? You were all high up in your high horses like spoiled, rotten children! Tsk! Tsk! Tsk! You just showed your true colors! You are all not worthy to be idolized. Shame on you all! Grow up! The people has spoken and voted for Donald J. Trump! Whether you all liked it or not he is the new president of the United States! Hip! Hip! Hooray!
I can go on and on but I think I will stop for now.
God bless President Trump and his family! God bless America! God bless all of us!

LET'S TALK ABOUT FOOD! JANUARY 6, 2017
Let's talk about food! Why not? I love food...can you not tell? Never mind, do not answer! Where do I start, or rather when do I start? Today, of course!
Let me start with the honey baked ham that I bought from ... guess what store? Honey Baked Ham store of course!
The honey baked ham was supposed to be for Christmas and New Year. I just bought a "bone in" 1/4 pound because I am the only one that usually eat it. Why not boneless ham? Because I want to make split pea soup with the bone! Oh...oh...there goes the farts! Hehehehehe...sorry I could not resist. Oh well. Anyway, when I arrived home, I opened the package. It looked soooo good!
The next morning, guess what I had for breakfast? H-O-N-E-Y B-A-K-E-D H-A-M!!! It was soooo yummy that I ate a lot. Everyone at home could not resist it either. It was eaten either as is or fried. It was so good that by Christmas there was only very little that was left. Oh well, we totally enjoyed the ham.
Confession...wait...do I need to call a priest? OMG! Please keep quiet. Sorry, I could not resist. Let me continue....When I bought the ham from the grocery store ($ 10 for 8 pounds) last year, it ended in the freezer for a very long time and it is only me that eats it. Sigh! What a waste!
Conclusion: Although it was expensive, $30.00 for a 1/4 pound, it was well worth it. Money was not wasted. Hip! Hip! Hooray!

DEJA VU DECEMBER 26, 2016
Strangest thing happened today... I just finished reading my post on
facebook on December 26, 2013 where the lights went off and we ended up
with no lights for 17 long hours! Then I realized how precious power is
indeed in our lives.
Today, December 26, 2016 AT 10:30 am, our lights went off! Deja vu? I called DTE...no answer...it is a holiday! They took our address and will dispatch the problem. The machine told me to expect the power back on at 1pm. If I am just reporting it, how do they know when it will be fixed? Lights came on at 11:30 am ( Thank you God!). After a few minutes, DTE called that it was an equipment problem and power will be restored by 1 pm. There are around 1700 involved in our area. DTE called 3 more times with different times of power restoration. Wow! DTE is really efficient!

At the same time the power went off here, power also went off in our relatives place in Ontario, Canada. Weird? You bet!
Anyway, I thank God that it was not cold today....in the 50's and that the power was off only for an hour.
Have a great day and may God bless all of us!

NONSENSE TALK NOVEMBER 28, 2016
Monday after Thanksgiving.....can you believe that it is almost the end of the month? OMG! Before you know it, it will be Christmas!
It seems just yesterday that we were bombarded with political ads for the election, then it was election time. Some people could not believe the outcome of the election, and some states changed their political affiliation. Okay people, time to move on!
I guess people have really move on. Did I just answer my question? Nope, there was no question. Hehehehe....Why did I say that people have moved on? Because when you go to the mall, it is crazy! People are buying their hearts out like there is no tomorrow. Is there too much confidence on the new administration? Perhaps. Is that a good thing? Perhaps....time will tell.
The first agenda that the president elect should do is repeal and replace the so called " affordable (NOT!!!!) health care plan! It is soooo bad that some people could not afford the ungodly super high deductibles and are being sent to collections. What was the use of paying the super high premiums if nothing will be paid by the insurance? Who are getting fatter in the wallet with all of these? Certainly not the people who keep paying. No wonder there were many people that resorted to paying the fine instead of the premiums....it was cheaper! Let us just hope and pray that the new president will get rid of the disastrous obamacare forever!
Christmas is coming soon! You can tell with all of the Christmas decorations, songs, television shows etc. It seems that people are alive now....they are more joyous and festive. Can you all see? Watch and look at peoples faces, atmosphere have become festive. A great sign?
I hope and pray that everything will be all right here and everywhere.
May God bless all of us! Have a great day!!!

ROSARY RALLY OCTOBER 15, 2016
Rosary
Rally 2016 was a huge success! We were one of the 16, 323 rallies
across the United States that prayed for the United States and the whole
world! Hip! Hip! Hooray!!!
I cannot believe that the Rosary Rally started in 2007. I remember vividly when I was recruited in 2007. I was just diagnosed with breast cancer and had mastectomy. I was at home recuperating and I managed to make phone calls and distribute pamphlets in churches across Detroit and the surrounding suburbs. It had to be God and the Blessed Mother that helped me accomplish all of this amidst my breast cancer journey. In 2008, I had the honor and privileged, together with my sister from Canada, to travel to Kansas and help recruit rally captains and rally participants all across the United States. It was a huge success and it continues to grow year after year after year! Alleluia!!! Praise be to Jesus Christ!!!
Our rally was held on the park, the same park we had been having our rally since 2008. It was such a gorgeous, beautiful day although it was a little bit on the chilly side with a little wind. We cannot complain since a few years back, we did our rally in between our parked cars since there was sleet, snow and it was windy....but we still managed to pray. How about that time that we had to do our rally under the rain with our hoodies and umbrellas...but we still managed to pray. One of the " ralliers" told me that she could not remember the time of the rally since the message was accidentally erased prematurely, but she and her husband decided to just drive and join us. Guess what? They arrived at 12 noon...I told them it must have been the Blessed Mother that guided them. I'm really amazed about my rally friends that had been with me since 2007! What a commitment these " ralliers ( hehehe....is there such a word?)" have to GOD and the BLESSED MOTHER!!! I really feel grateful and indebted to these marvelous, beautiful people for always making our rally a very successful one every year!
We started our rally at 12 noon sharp ( hehe, not Filipino time, sorry, I could not resist, my Filipino friends and relatives). We sang, prayed our intentions, prayed the Holy Rosary, Consecration, Litany etc. It was such a beautiful rally with amazing, caring, and wonderful "ralliers." We all felt blessed and cannot wait until next year's rally which will be on October 14, 2017, with the goal of 20,000 rallies. Please mark your calendars!
Since the weather was nice and we had some catching up with our friends, we stayed and socialized with each other. After all, we have not seen each other for a year! It was such a joyful, blessed, well spent Saturday afternoon with friends. We were all truly blessed!
I really cannot thank enough my wonderful " ralliers" who have been coming throughout these years through snow, sleet, rain or shine. Thank you also to the people that cannot be with us physically but joined us with prayers as we prayed. Thank you all for making 2016 Rosary Rally a huge success! See you all next year, God willing.
May God bless America and the whole world! May God bless all of us!!!

FATHER'S DAY JUNE 18, 2016
Wow! It is already June. Time flies soooo fast....where did it go? Having fun so much you lost track of the time. Quick....grab it, before it leaps out. Hahahaha. OMG, that was lame. Kidding aside, it is Father's Day!!! Hip! Hip! Hurray!
I remember my father very much. He was an avid reader, a great dancer ( why did I not get his dancing talent??), a very good provider, a very kind and giving person. I do not know how he and my mother sent their children to private schools and helped with the education of his two brothers. There were also relatives all the time in our modest house who lived with us in the city while they went to school.
My father would take all of us in the park to watch the orchestra play or go to the theater to watch a show. I do not know why I did not get his love for culture. Oh, well. I also remember him bringing me to his work, I guess the bring your child to work have been a practice a long time ago. We always take vacations to the province ( countryside) every summertime, going through winding roads either by car or by bus. Those were really unforgettable, happy days that will remain with me forever.
I am always grateful and very thankful to my father who sacrificed a lot and gave us everything. so our future will be a great one.
May all the boys and girls recognize what their fathers do to give them a better life. Hopefully they will cherish the days they have with their father and their family for they will not be here forever.
Oh, my! Am I getting sentimental? Am I going to cry? Hold on...here are some tissues. Hehehehehe...cannot resist.
Well, what are you waiting for....pamper your father today. Take him out to a nice dinner, a movie or just do something nice for him. Like what? Mow the lawn, trim the weeds, give him a hug or anything that is nice. Cherish the days that he is here with you.
So, what are you waiting for??? Hug your father, kiss him, show your love and affection today and everyday of the year!! May God bless all fathers!!!!
To Pang...I miss you soooo much....luv ya......mwah!!!!!
May all fathers have a safe, happy and a blessed day!
HAPPY FATHER'S DAY!!!
