There are only 3 couples left on Bachelor Pad!!! And these couples are the ones that bonded and made a pact. It seems like in the other reality shows, it pays to hook up with other contestants who you think can keep you until the end of the show!!! Once you are an outcast or an outsider, you are sure that you will be going home! Is that what happened in this episode??? Yes!!!!
The show started with 3 women going home, since there are more women than men. The bachelors had to pick who they want as their partners. After picking their partners, they will be playing as couples. Kiptyn picked Tenley, Kovacs picked Elizabeth, Jesse B picked Peyton, and David picked Natalie!!!! The 3 women that left the show were Gwen Gioia, Nikki Kappke and Ashley Elmore. These 3 women knew that they will be going home since they are not romantically involved with any of the guys remaining.
The rose is up for grabs, and the couples had their first competition. It was a balloon throw and whoever is left standing with at least one balloon not breaking is the winner. The first couple eliminated was Jesse B and Peyton. Peyton was very hard on herself for breaking the balloons, but Jesse was all gentleman with terms of encouragement for Peyton! The winner was Natalie and David.
David and Natalie's date started with a hot, yellow Lamborghini which they drove off. But before they drove off the car, Elizabeth and Kovacs already had kissed and did some romancing on the car!!! It seems like this show is starting to belong to a playboy/playgirl station!!! Too much making out!!!! Needless to say, the women seems to be soooo cheap with the men and their acts are something else!!!! If you happen to flip the channel and see the couples, you would think that you are watching an X-rated film!!! Then why do you watch it??? I do not know. Maybe, sex really sells!!!! Then Elizabeth and Kovacs sneaked into the fantasy suite. What happened??? What do you think happened??? I don't know but I think once Elizabeth and Kovacs are gone from the bachelor pad that they will split out!!!! After all, Kovacs got what he wants from Elizabeth which Elizabeth gave without reservations!!!! My gosh!!! Elizabeth was all over Kovacs!!!! I do not know about her!!! Making out all the way on national TV!!! My! My! My!!! Where are our morals??? Down the tube... for perhaps fame!!!! In what??? To be a porno star???? Playgirl magazine???? Playboy magazine???Why not??? For big bucks!!!! Ha! Ha! Ha! I do not know about you!!!
Peyton Wright and Jesse Beck were sent home since they are the only couple that is not in a pact!!! Natalie promised Peyton, but she rescinded since David, Kovacs and Kiptyn are a very tight, solid group!!! The women cannot do anything to get Elizabeth and Kovacs eliminated!!!
Wow!!! This show is nothing but all kissing and romance!!!! Isn't this what it is all about??? Isn't the purpose is to find your love and win some $250,0000??? Then why is it on primetime TV??? I thought with shows like this that it should be at a later time!!!! Even our TV censorship seems to be lax. Oh, well. You are also watching it!!!! I know, I know, but in our household, I am the only one who watches it. The others stay away from the show!!!! Why do you watch it??? I guess it is a good subject to blog!!!! Too juicy!!! Ha! Ha! Ha! At least you are honest!!!!
Next week is the last episode, which I am glad. I cannot wait to see a wholesome show, Dancing With The Stars soon!!! It looks like you are advertising for DWTS!!!! You got that right!!!!
Have a good day!!!

Labor Day Saga continues....
Labor Day is here!!!! For some people, it is the end of a 3 day vacation!!!! What do you mean " for some people?" You mean, a majority of people?? Why?? Many are returning back to school tomorrow, and the school age children, teenagers and adults are returning back to school!!!
How about barbecues and picnics today??? I do not know about others, but we did it over the weekend! Why??? Today is the holiday!!! Well, for one thing it was better over the weekend since you can recuperate better with your sleeping, eating etc...etc.... Am I right or what???
Going to the mall over the weekend, there were soooo many sales, and a lot of people shopping!!! You will think that the economy is booming, looking at all the lines paying for their merchandise!!! What do you mean??? People were really buying over the weekend!!! Well, it is the start of the new school year, naturally everyone will be buying clothes and shoes. This weekend is no judge for the economy!!! The stores have deep discounts on shoes and clothes and it is still going on today!!!! And many stores are really trying to lure you into spending your precious dollars!!!! Many people though are really looking for a good sale, and that includes me!!!! El cheapo!!!! Ha! Ha! Ha! you got that right!!!!
We also bought over the weekend, groceries, toiletries etc...etc... for a college bound youngster. Even the groceries had some discounts on some items!!!! They know that people are hurting so the stores are offering many discounts!!! It helps also if you have a loyalty card for a grocery store!!!!
Well, what will you do today??? R & R!!! Rest and recuperation since the company is gone, and you do not have to cook because there are many, many leftovers!!!! Yum!!! Yum!!!! Oh, I just love the holidays!!!! Good food and good company!!!! Is that not right???? Maybe we can mosy over the mall also and see if there any good bargains left!!!!
Wow!!!! This holiday, you kept on talking about it.... 3 days!!!! What happened to you??? I was drunk..... with the food, excitement and company!!!! What else??? Ha! Ha! Ha! You thought I will say, drunk with booze??? Sorry, not this one!!!! I only drink pop and H2O!!!! WOW!!! My! My! My! Now she is trying to be a smart aleck!!!! I do not know about you!!!!
Okay, I will stop now. I have to go...till next time...take care, and have a good week!!!!!

Labor Day Weekend
Wow!!! Labor Day is here!!! Soon hot summer days will be a thing of the past again. No more shorts, no more tank tops, no more bathing suits, no more barbecue, no more white outfits!!! Pretty soon, it will be football season again, cold winter, dreary days and that white stuff falling from the sky!!!! Pretty soon, it will be new programs on television!!!! No more reruns!!!! Hep! Hep! Hurray!!!!
I like holidays, because it means seeing relatives and friends, parties and good eating!!! What I do not like about it is that I tend to overeat resulting in a wider waistline!!! I see a lot of heads bobbing up and down!!! What can we do so we do not overeat??? Nothing!!! Just keep eating and hopefully exercise after eating!!! I know, I know, it is easier said than done. Oh, well, just enjoy the day, the food and the companionship of the people surrounding us. We have to take advantage of these days because it seems it is hard to come by nowadays with everyone soooo busy with their lives!!! Sometimes we missed the camaraderie of our relatives and friends. Seize every opportunity with your love ones because life is short!!! Right???? Comments????
Right now, while I am writing the blog, I feel soooooo full that I think I will have to cut this short. Plus my company is waiting for me for endless gossipping!!!! Ha! Ha! Ha! I am just kidding!!! I have to go.... I can smell the corn on the cob cooking in the microwave. It is calling me to eat it!!!! It is soooo fresh and soooo sweet per someone who already tasted it!!!
So, for now, adieu, sayonara..... happy labor day!!!!!! Have a safe, happy and healthy day!!!

Labor Day, 2010
Labor Day is a holiday celebrated in the United States and Canada on the first Monday in September, September 6th in 2010, to honor the laborer. It is an annual holiday celebrating the economic and social achievement of workers. The first labor day was celebrated on September 5, 1882 in New York City and made a national holiday by the United States congress in 1884.
Labor Day is celebrated traditionally by most Americans as the symbolic end of summer and the end of vacation season. The holiday is often regarded as a day of rest and parties which include picnics, barbecues, etc. Oh, yeah! It is the end of the summer picnics and barbecue!!!! Barbecues are sooo good, I do not know why we have to limit ourselves to spring and summer for barbecues. Why??? Do you want to barbecue in the middle of winter, in the snow??? If you can.. and your grill is not buried in the snow, go for it!!!! Stop!!! Please do not talk anymore of snow. Brrr... just the thought of it makes me sooo cold!!!!!
Families with school age children take it as a last chance to travel before the children goes back to school! That is right!!! It is the start of a new schoolyear and the start of the football season!!!! It is also the end of wearing white!!!! What do you mean?? I have not even worn my whites a lot this year, and before you know it, it is done, over, kaput!!!! Not fair!!! Oh, well, then wear white all year round!!! Who cares??? Why can't we not wear white on wintertime anyway??? Because, for obvious reasons!!! Like what??? It becomes dirty with the snow coming down!!! Excuse me, that is a very lame excuse!!!! Does anyone even know the reason why whites cannot be worn after Labor Day??? When did it start to be a tradition in the United States???
Some people believed that the no white pertains only to white shoes, not the clothing. White shoes are summer attire and it is tacky to wear them when summer is over. Lots of etiquette experts does not know where the rule came from and thus cannot explain it. The practical explanation is that wearing white was a way to stay cool since white is of a lighter weight. In the old days people know what class you were by what you wore and the upper class would never wear white after labor day and all lower classes did. Nowadays, many think it is okay to wear white after Labor Day. So, are we going to wear whites after labor Day??? To wear white or not to wear whites. That is the question!!!! So, folks, what is it??? Comments, anyone????
Whatever everybody is doing on Labor Day, make it a fun filled, safe holiday!!!! Happy barbecuing and happy eating!!!!!

Big Brother, 08292010
Big Brother is down to the final 4 houseguests!!! Can you guess who the final four are??? Can you just tell us??? Hold on, where is your patience??? It went away this morning, never to return again!!!! Ha! Ha!Ha! You sound sooo pathetic!!!! First of all, never say never. Of course I will let you know who the final 4 are, but you have to wait a little bit!!!!
A lot of things happened at the Big Brother house. Like what? There was a double eviction for one thing. Oh, oh, sounds like a lot of fun!!! You bet!!!
Let us start with Britney Haynes as the head of household. She nominated Brendon Villegas and Enzo Palumbo for eviction. Who won the power of veto?? Brendon which cost him his hair!!! What?? Yup!!! His hair was shaved off!!!! He looks okay though with a bald head. It is a good thing he is good looking, otherwise he would look awful!!! Needless to say, Brendon dodged eviction!!! Since Brendon used the power of veto on himself, Britney had to look for a replacement for Brendon. Since Matt Hoffman was trying to tell Britney to put his best friend Ragan Fox on the chopping block, Britney backdoored Matt much to the delight of the other brigade members!!! So off went Matt to the jury house!!!! Little did they all know that there is a double eviction that day!!!!
Right after the eviction the power is up for grabs for the new head of household. Hayden Moss was winning, followed very closely by Brendon. Hayden though beat him by just a few seconds. Enzo Palumbo and Brendon were nominated for eviction. And this time, Brendon really got evicted, since Enzo won the power of veto. Britney replaced Enzo and Brendon's fate was sealed!!!! Finally, Brendon said sayonara to the houseguests!!!! It sure took him a long time to be evicted!!!!
Competition for HOH was done once again. This time it was Lane Elenburg that won!!! It is about time that he won! He has never won anything!! Why?? I think he was just riding on the coattails of the other brigade members!!! Who did he nominate for eviction?? None other than Ragan Fox, for obvious reasons, and Enzo.
In the meantime, in the jury house, Rachel was having the time of her life relaxing, when Kathy Hillis came in. Next came Matt Hoffman, then Brendon!!! Rachel was disappointed to see her man come to the jury house. But that did not last very long. Soon they were on each other's arms!!! Is this real love??? What do you guys think??? Comments??? How about when Matt told the others that his wife's sickness was fake??? You should have seen Kathy's and Rachel's faces!!!! They were sooo mad at Matt, I wonder if they are even going to talk to him at all in the jury house??? What do you think is Matt's wife's saying about all this lie about her??? Will their marriage crumble??? Or will they just brush this episode and continue on with their lives??? Do you think Matt told his wife what he was planning to do before he went inside the Big Brother's house??? Who knows???
Who won the power of veto?? Enzo won, who was replaced on the hot seat by Hayden!!! By a vote of 2-0, Ragan, the cry baby professor was evicted!!!
Who will win the HOH?? I would rather see any of the 3 guys win the HOH!! Britney is wishy washy. She will lie her way to everyone and was in the coattail of Lane for a long time!!! I will be surprised if she ends up in the top 3!!! Unless Lane really likes her and push for her to be in the top 3!!! Lane, forget her.. she has someone outside of the Big Brother's house!!! It will be interesting though to see who will end up with the prize money!!!!

America's Got Talent, 09012010
Finally, the remaining 5 semi- finalists of America's Got Talent have been unleashed!!! They are the creme of the crop, and the talents ranged from singing to dangerous acts to a 10 year old diva.
Let us start with Nick Cannon, the emcee. Wow, when I saw him on the stage, I was wondering what was he wearing!!! Why??? I thought his outfit was a lounging robe!!!! Ha! Ha! Ha! It is probably a very expensive outfit, but to me it reminded me of a lounging robe!!! Has anybody seen it??? Any comments anyone??? Am I an outfit ignoramus???? Ha! Ha! Ha! Thanks, Piers, now I have a new word!!!!
Who were the 12 acts? They are the following: Michael Grasso - magician; Michael Lipari and Ashleigh Dejon - acrobats/ circus; Master Alexander Bui - pianist; Jackie Evancho - 10 year old operatic singer; Murray - magician; Fighting Gravity - fraternity students where the act is done in pitch black; Nathaniel Kenyon - singer; Alice Tan Ridley - singer performing in subways; Studio One Young Beast Society - hip hop dancers; Haspop - dance with a very flexible body; Debra Romer - singer; Jeremy VanSchoonhoven - daredevil bike!
There were 2 magicians: Michael Grasso and Murray. Murray made a large train disappear from the stage, and Michael Grasso, making the lady from the cage disappear, and Michael Grasso disappearing from the stage to appear behind the judges, giving Sharon Osbourne a red rose! Both are good acts, but Michael Grasso's execution was better than Murray.
Maestro Alexander Bui, a young pianist who was superb! Howie Mandell did not get it and gave Bui an X. That is when Piers Morgan called Howie Mandell a " cultural ignoramus." Ha! Ha! Ha! Good for you, Piers, for standing up to a real talent, which the likes of Howie does not understand!!! Now, Howie has a nameplate with cultural ignoramus on it!!!! I think he made the sign just so he can hide his embarrassment!!!! Right??? I just love the show because of the 2 men always on each others throats!!!! Is this real or just a show to make America's Got Talent juicy and entertaining???? What do you guys think??? Poor Sharon, she has to learn to duck in case there ever is a pie throwing or a fist fight!!! Do not pity Sharon, these judges make big, big bucks that you and i will probably never see in our lifetime!!!! You are soooo right!!!! Back to AGT......
Fighting Gravity. How about it??? They are the best new, original act that has graced this planet since the Blue Men!!!! They deserve to already have a show in Las Vegas!!!! I can't just imagine how these college guys came with this idea!!! They are brilliant!!!! Their greatest competitor is Jackie Evancho whose voice is really mind boggling!!! To sing like that at a tender age??? My! my! my! Her parents are soooo lucky.... they have a rare gem in their hands. Hopefully, they will not be as manipulative like the other parents of celebrities and that they will continue to live in peace and harmony!!!!
Debra Romer, the singer, is starting to come out of her coccoon. She is not as timid as before. Although she is not a semi-finalist, I think she will go a long way with her voice and looks!!! In fact, she announced that there are some people that are wanting to pay and sign her up!!! Good for her!!!!
How about Jeremy VanSchoonhoven, the bike daredevil?? Like Sharon says, he is like Evil Knevil. It seems Jeremy is not afraid to try out anything to further himself!! He sure is very brave with all the stunts he has been doing!!!!!
Well, the 5 semi- finalists that will compete with the other five are: Studio One Young Beast Society, Jeremy VanSchoonhoven, Michael Grasso, Jackie Evancho and Fighting Gravity!
We are going to be treated to a good show next week. After all, the best 10 acts will be performing!!! Care to bet who will end up as the winner of the million dollar gig in Las Vegas??? To me, it seems that it will be a toss up between Fighting Gravity and Jackie Evancho!!! How about you, what do you think????

Eggs
The incredible, edible egg. Everyone likes eggs. Are you sure about that??? No, not really. But I thought since it is a good source of protein that many people like it!!!!
Eggs are laid by females of different species including birds, reptiles, amphibians and fish. The most common are eggs from chickens! How about quail eggs?? I heard it is a delicacy. I have not tasted it so I wouldn't know how that taste!! Any comments, anyone??? Eggs are sold in the supermarket as medium, large, extra large and jumbo. Most eggs used for recipes are large eggs. The eggs are usually unfertilized since the hens are confined to themselves, without the rooster. How about the eggs with the unhatched embryo that is eaten in some parts of the world??? Yuck!!! That is gross!! You can even see the beak and feathers inside the shell. Have you tasted it??? Just the egg yolk, which tastes good and the white of the egg that is sooo hard!!! I have eaten the "balut" minus the embryo!!!! People eat the embryo because they believe it is an aphrodisiac!!! Anyone want to try it??? Try it, you might like it!!!! Not me!!!!
The recent recall of eggs is the largest in the United States history, more than half a billion has the risk of Salmonella infection. Did you know that all the eggs in question where produced in an egg factory where the hens were crammed inside tiny wire cages of just 67 square inches of space to live??? The tiny wire cages are so restrictive that they can barely moved! It is cruelly confining and the hens are forced to live in misery. That is why many European countries have ban this system of confinement, and they will phase it out by 2012. . Hopefully the United States will follow with the ban. With the recent massive recall, they have to!!!
How about labeling of egg cartons? There is petition with the Food and Drug Administration urging the agency to mandate egg production labeling, including," eggs from caged hen." Similar consumer protection is already in place in Australia and the European nation!
How do you test for freshness of an egg? Fill a deep bowl with water. Carefully lower the egg into the water. If the egg is very fresh, the egg will sink immediately to the bottom, and lie flat on its side. Why? Because the air cell within the egg is very small. The egg should also feel quite heavy. As the egg starts to lose its freshness, it will float with the smaller end lying on the bottom of the bowl. The egg is still good to eat. If the egg fully floats in the water and does not touch the bottom, discard the egg! It is a bad egg!!!!
How can you tell a raw egg from a hard boiled egg?? There is a simple test. Spin the egg carefully on a countertop. The hard boiled egg will spin because it is solid and it will spin in one direction. The raw egg will not spin because the inside sloshes on different directions and therefore does not allow it to spin. Try it and see!!!
Well, well, well, now you know a little about eggs. Are you going to cook some??? Deviled eggs will be good. And so with omelet tomorrow morning!!!! A word of advice... check first if the eggs you have is part of the recall!!!!!
