HAPPY NEW YEAR! DECEMBER 31, 2021

Happy New Year!  How are we going to welcome 2022?  With open arms?  Well, whether we like it or not, it will be here. So, just smile, relax, and leave everything to God. HE is good and merciful.

The year 2021 was a continuation of 2020, a year of chaos, fear, uncertainty and problems. 2021 is not ending in a positive note, many problems especially with rising prices of everything! Name one. Food! How about gas for cars and homes? You got it babe!

It is sad, really sad, what is happening in the world today. Many people, young and old are losing hope. What are we to do? I do not know the answer. Maybe, perhaps, we have to pray more to God for mercy and compassion. Ask for forgiveness and change of hearts of the wicked and evil forces that are roaming the earth. Pray that people will wake up and turn back to God. Pray that there will be peace on earth.

May God bless and have mercy on us all!

HAPPY NEW YEAR January 10, 2021

Happy New Year!  Should we welcome 2021 with a smile or not? Of course with a smile! Why? We are alive and well with God's grace and mercy!  The year 2020 will be one of the most unforgettable year for all of us. A year full of mishaps, should I say, in regards to almost everything, e.g. health, politics, education, work and other things, here in America and all over the world.

It was a year of chaos and uncertainty to all, which seems to continue on to 2021. What should we do? I think we all should get down on our knees and pray to God for more mercy and compassion that we will all be able to withstand, endure and be safe. Why not ask for eradication of all problems? Because there are more agnostics, atheists and lukewarm people than faithful Christians! Need I say more? Of course not!

God is good! It is up to the faithful to remain steadfast in their faith, and pray harder. Pray that the good will overcome the wicked and the evil forces that are roaming the earth. Pray that good will triumph over bad. Pray that people will wake up and turn back to God! Is this asking too much?

If there are more people with God or for God, perhaps, there will be peace on earth. What a sight that will be!

May God bless and have mercy on us all!

2018 PUBLIC SQUARE ROSARY CRUSADE OCTOBER 13, 2018

The 2018 Public Square Rosary Crusade was a tremendous success with 21,145 rallies in the USA, and 23,081 in 27 nations across the globe. The number of Rosary Rallies has been steadily increasing throughout the years. When we first started in 2007, we were surprised to reach 2,000, whereas now we are slowly nearing 25,000. This increase is a wonderful means to show Heaven of our determination to please God and our willingness to stand up for His moral law.

Next year, it will take place on October 12, 2019  the Saturday closest to the Miracle of the Sun at Fatima.

I cannot believe that it has been 11 years since my first Rosary Rally. It has been in the same park except in 2007 where it was held in the parking lot of a local church. I am very thankful for my husband and the Public Square Rosary Crusaders that comes every year to pray with me even though they are in pain or have just undergone surgery. The cold weather ( 45 degrees) did not deter us with our prayers and singing. There was a guy that came and sat with us. I gave him a rosary and when he left, he said to us that he has not prayed for a long time and needed it. Praise God if we were instruments to help him!

It was such a happy and blessed occasion that we all look forward every year to gather and pray for America and the whole world.

I thank God, the Blessed Mother and America Need Fatima for the opportunity to serve as a rally captain again this year! It is truly an honor and a blessing.

May God bless all of us!

ROSARY RALLY OCTOBER 14, 2017

Last Saturday, October 14, 2017 was the 10th Rosary Rally sponsored by America Needs Fatima. There were 21,570 rallies that day throughout America and I was blessed to be one of the rally captains of this blessed event.
My rally was held in a park in Sterling Hts, Michigan. The weather was gloomy and rainy but it did not prevent us from holding our yearly rally. My husband and I decided to go early to the park to see if the covered pavilion is available. Thank God and the Blessed Mother...it was available, although we have to share it with a group of people. We were so glad and thankful that our dearest friend, Gus, helped us to set up.
At 12 noon, we started....we sang, recited the Rosary, intentions, consecration and other prayers. There was a guy from the group that was loud that listened and came to sit with us. He asked me if he could keep the copy of the 10 reasons why we do a rosary rally in public and he was quite impressed. I noticed that he took one of the rosaries on the table and was trying to follow us. I gave him a brochure with the illustrations of how to pray the rosary. I hope and pray that he got something good out of this. Who knows? He might start to pray the rosary!
Our challenges last Saturday? The devil was hard at work! The group of men were playing in the back and they were sooooo loud! We had to compete with them, when they became loud, our voices in unison became louder also. It was a shouting match at times which we tried to ignore and just kept on praying. God is good! We were able to finish our prayers beautifully and the loud mouth men did not dampen our spirits.
After the prayers, we stayed to socialize. Can you believe that these men were not as loud when we were praying? Go figure!
We were all so happy to see and talk to each other again. I think it was almost 2 pm when we finished and we all cannot wait for next year's rally which will be on October 13, 2018. Mark your calendars!
I want to thank each and everyone of the participants in my rally. I want to especially thank Gus for all the help he did. Thank you Gus, Baby & Ed for your help! Thank you all! You guys are the best! Thank you God and the Blessed Mother for another successful rally!
OMG! On the way back to our cars, the rain poured! God gave us a sprinkle of " Holy Water" in the form of rain! We truly received our blessing that day!
May God bless America and the whole world! May God bless all of us!

Rosary Rally 2017

REMINDER TO ALL TO PRAY FOR AMERICA AND THE WHOLE WORLD..........
ROSARY RALLY 2017, sponsored by America Needs Fatima, will be on October 14th at 12 noon local time. Goal: 20,000 rosary rallies across the U S....please join your local group!

I am truly honored to be a part of this great ROSARY CRUSADE that keeps on growing every year. I am truly blessed to have been a part of this since the inception....10 years ago in 2007 ( October), the same year ( May 2007) I was diagnosed with breast cancer. I can remember taking invitations to churches from Sterling Hts to St Clair Shores and calling people to join us.

I am also in awe at the hard work and dedication America Needs Fatima does to make sure the rallies are successful every year. I saw first hand how they recruit volunteers to call people all over America to be a part of these rallies. I was blessed and honored to heed the call of the Blessed Mother to volunteer in 2008. Together with my sister from Canada, we spent a week in Rossville, Kansas calling prospective rally captains. It was truly a joy to hear people say yes to us. It was a week to remember....the organization's leaders were very nice and very accommodating. The volunteers were amazing...some were bilingual which was a plus who helped interpreting with the phone calls.

My first rally was held in front of St Jane and we had people from Mt Clemens, Sterling Hts, Troy, St Clair Shores and Canada. I remember someone brought a beautiful statue of the Blessed Mother to be with us during the rally to which I was really thankful. Even though we were all freezing since it was cold and windy, we had a good time praying. Since then, we moved to the park and it has been our gathering place every year ......sunny, windy, rain, snow or sleet!

I thank God and the Blessed Mother for the beautiful people that keep on coming every year to help make the Rosary Rally a success! I thank America Needs Fatima for organizing these wonderful rallies every year! Hip! Hip! Hooray!

Uh, oh....I talked too much...anyway, please join us or your local rally near you.......thank you! May God bless all of us!

When: October 14, 2017 ( Saturday)
Where: James C. Nelson Park, 15 Mile Rd, Sterling Hts, Mi
Time : 12 noon sharp local time
Please bring your rosary & chair.

WHAT'S IN YOUR FOOD? JUNE 24, 2017

Do you know what is in your food? You will probably say, " Yes!"

Have you ever wondered what " genetically engineered or GMO means?

GMO is also known as genetically engineered, genetically modified or Frankenfood. It seems that more and more products have the words " genetically engineered " on the packages of food.

Per Wikipedia, Genetically modified foods, GM foods or genetically engineered foods, are foods produced from organisms that have had changes introduced into their DNA using the methods of genetic engineering as opposed to traditional cross breeding. In the U.S., the Department of Agriculture (USDA) and the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) favor the use of "genetic engineering" over "genetic modification" as the more precise term; the USDA defines genetic modification to include "genetic engineering or other more traditional methods."

(GMOs) refers to foods that have been modified to withstand heavy doses of pesticides, mainly glyphosate, or are engineered to contain a toxin that kills bugs when they feed on the crop. Currently, up to 93% of US corn crops were genetically modified and a staggering 96% of US soybeans grown were GMO, and those aren’t the only genetically modified foods. With these biotech foods making their way into the majority of our food, it’s important to consider their safety....https://www.mamavation.com/2015/05/hidden-gmo-ingredients.html

Why am I into the GMO subject? Great! I thought you will never ask! Here is my story.

I have been buying LOUISIANA HOT SAUCE for a very long time. The bottle that I recently bought was opened a few weeks ago. When it was poured in the food we were going to eat, we noticed several clumps inside the bottle that we have not seen in previous bottles. We thought that maybe they were molds. I wrote Louisiana Foods and here is their reply..."Thank you for the email. I have taken a look at your picture that you sent and what you are seeing is not mold but it is oxidation. The Louisiana Hot Sauce consist of three ingredients which are salt, vinegar and peppers, and all you would need to do is shake the bottle up real good and it will come back to its normal consistency ."

I wrote back and told them I am scared to feed this to my family, and that Wow! All I need is to shake it! Woo hoo! Shake, shake, shake, shake your junk away! Hmmmm.....How about you, looking at the bottle? I further asked what is genetically engineered and which ingredient was modified. Guess what? They never answered me back. Any comments?

I went to the store where I bought it, showed it to customer service. She told me that it looks like something is growing in the bottle and she would not consume it either. She gave me a replacement bottle which is still unopened.  I do not know when it will be opened.

Back to the ingredient that was altered. Guess what? It is not the pepper! It is more than likely, per reading some more that it is the vinegar! Can you believe that? Why vinegar? That is a good question! Do you know how to make vinegar? No? Neither do I! Hehehehe...Looks like we do not know anything. That is not good, is it?

Well, vinegar is made of either apples or corn plus water.  That explains everything, is it not? Most of the corn we eat are genetically modified!  So, everything that has corn is genetically modified.  How about organic food? That is a good question, we have to do research. But if you do not want food that has been altered, we have to grow our own.

Take care and read your labels before you buy!

May God bless all of us!

POLITICS JANUARY 22, 2017

Politics!  Anyone want to discuss this with me?  No? I do not really want to talk about politics either. For the majority of my adult life ( Ha!), I stayed away from politics.  I became engrossed with it only eight years ago, and it continued until now. Why? For obvious reasons. First, I thought our religious liberty was being jeopardized, and I did not like that. Next, our health insurance was a disaster. It was terrible! It seems that our money was just going to the premiums, medicine, co pay, deductible etc, etc. Next, the cost of everything is very high....food, gas, electricity. The rich is getting richer and the poor is getting poorer!  There are quite a bit of people that are in the corners asking for money, which is not right. America has money, but it keeps giving the money everywhere. Should our government take care of its citizens first? Of course, it should! But alas, it is not happening.... so I liked what President Donald John Trump said on his inauguration.... America first!

Speaking of President Trump...I do not understand why there are soooo many people against him? Is it because they cannot continue on doing what they have been doing, that is, getting richer and more powerful? They are already powerful and rich! so, why do they want more? GREED!!! That is correct! Watch it, my dear people, you cannot take your money, fame and glory with you when you die! Plus, you have to face God on your death bed! So, please do not be soooo greedy!

Now, how about the actors and celebrities who boycotted him on his inauguration? Never mind! You were not needed! The day and celebration went really fine without you! People had a fun time without all of you! We do not really care to know if you voted for him or not! He won! The people have spoken! You were all supposed to be a role model for the younger generation. But what did you do? You were all high up in your high horses like spoiled, rotten children! Tsk! Tsk! Tsk! You just showed your true colors! You are all not worthy to be idolized. Shame on you all! Grow up! The people has spoken and voted for Donald J. Trump! Whether you all liked it or not he is the new president of the United States! Hip! Hip! Hooray!

I can go on and on but I think I will stop for now.

God bless President Trump and his family!  God bless America!  God bless all of us!

DEJA VU DECEMBER 26, 2016

Strangest thing happened today... I just finished reading my post on facebook on December 26, 2013 where the lights went off and we ended up with no lights for 17 long hours! Then I realized how precious power is indeed in our lives.

Today, December 26, 2016 AT 10:30 am, our lights went off! Deja vu? I called DTE...no answer...it is a holiday! They took our address and will dispatch the problem. The machine told me to expect the power back on at 1pm. If I am just reporting it, how do they know when it will be fixed? Lights came on at 11:30 am ( Thank you God!). After a few minutes, DTE called that it was an equipment problem and power will be restored by 1 pm. There are around 1700 involved in our area. DTE called 3 more times with different times of power restoration. Wow! DTE is really efficient!
At the same time the power went off here, power also went off in our relatives place in Ontario, Canada. Weird? You bet!

Anyway, I thank God that it was not cold today....in the 50's and that the power was off only for an hour.

Have a great day and may God bless all of us!

ROSARY RALLY OCTOBER 15, 2016

Rosary Rally 2016 was a huge success! We were one of the 16, 323 rallies across the United States that prayed for the United States and the whole world! Hip! Hip! Hooray!!!
I cannot believe that the Rosary Rally started in 2007. I remember vividly when I was recruited in 2007. I was just diagnosed with breast cancer and had mastectomy. I was at home recuperating and I managed to make phone calls and distribute pamphlets in churches across Detroit and the surrounding suburbs. It had to be God and the Blessed Mother that helped me accomplish all of this amidst my breast cancer journey. In 2008, I had the honor and privileged, together with my sister from Canada, to travel to Kansas and help recruit rally captains and rally participants all across the United States. It was a huge success and it continues to grow year after year after year! Alleluia!!! Praise be to Jesus Christ!!!
Our rally was held on the park, the same park we had been having our rally since 2008. It was such a gorgeous, beautiful day although it was a little bit on the chilly side with a little wind. We cannot complain since a few years back, we did our rally in between our parked cars since there was sleet, snow and it was windy....but we still managed to pray. How about that time that we had to do our rally under the rain with our hoodies and umbrellas...but we still managed to pray. One of the " ralliers" told me that she could not remember the time of the rally since the message was accidentally erased prematurely, but she and her husband decided to just drive and join us. Guess what? They arrived at 12 noon...I told them it must have been the Blessed Mother that guided them. I'm really amazed about my rally friends that had been with me since 2007! What a commitment these " ralliers ( hehehe....is there such a word?)" have to GOD and the BLESSED MOTHER!!! I really feel grateful and indebted to these marvelous, beautiful people for always making our rally a very successful one every year!
We started our rally at 12 noon sharp ( hehe, not Filipino time, sorry, I could not resist, my Filipino friends and relatives). We sang, prayed our intentions, prayed the Holy Rosary, Consecration, Litany etc. It was such a beautiful rally with amazing, caring, and wonderful "ralliers." We all felt blessed and cannot wait until next year's rally which will be on October 14, 2017, with the goal of 20,000 rallies. Please mark your calendars!
Since the weather was nice and we had some catching up with our friends, we stayed and socialized with each other. After all, we have not seen each other for a year! It was such a joyful, blessed, well spent Saturday afternoon with friends. We were all truly blessed!
I really cannot thank enough my wonderful " ralliers" who have been coming throughout these years through snow, sleet, rain or shine. Thank you also to the people that cannot be with us physically but joined us with prayers as we prayed. Thank you all for making 2016 Rosary Rally a huge success! See you all next year, God willing.
May God bless America and the whole world! May God bless all of us!!!

SATURDAY TIDBITS SEPTEMBER 12, 2015

Saturday tidbits. First of all, why on Saturday?  Don't you have anything better to do than sit on the computer pecking on the keyboard?  Don't you have any dates? What are tidbits? Goodness gracious! Why are you bombarding me with questions? Yes, you are right...I do not have anything better to do!
Tidbits...any juicy news......

Let me see....Do you know how to correctly measure a cap for the fireplace? One has to climb the roof and measure the length and the width of the fireplace. There are many different fireplace diameters in the store, 9" by 13", 13" by 13" etc....wow! Now you think you are an expert on fireplace caps now? Hehehehe No, there was something new I learned again!

Did you know that eating in a fast food place is not that cheap anymore?  Please do not use the word cheap. What word am I suppose to use? Inexpensive! OMG! Aren't those words synonymous? Yes, but inexpensive has more class! Yuck! I can use any word I want to use! Do you have a problem with that? My, my, my, testy! testy! testy! Why did you not use coupons? I forgot them at home! Oh, well. Lesson learned: Do not leave home without your coupons! Ha! Ha! Ha! El cheapo!

We parted ways with our 2002 Ford Focus ( yes, you got that right! 2002 ) after around 150,000 miles today..... driven around town. long distance travel, work and pleasure. It was sad....for the Focus had been with us through the hot wave or the cold wave, whether sleet, snow, rain or sun. It had been a dependable mode of transportation for us and had been with us for over a decade. Can you imagine that...a small, no nonsense car driven for over a decade. Sure, it had some problems but we were able to get it fix and get it going again and again. Until it's last breath, it managed to drive home and died on us on our garage and not on a street or a forsaken place. Goodbye, our faithful and dependable Focus. I really thank God for sending us a very reliable and a dependable Focus! I hope and pray that our other cars will also be dependable and will last for a long time!

Since it is Saturday and Sunday, it is time to feed our soul.  We went to the Saturday mass and it was raining, by the time the mass was over, the sun was shining brightly! We feel really blessed and hope and pray that everyone will have a blessed, safe and a happy weekend.

May God bless all of us!

ROSARY RALLY 2015 AUGUST 18, 2015

Rosary Rally 2015 will be held this year on October 10, 2015 with the goal of 14, 000 rosary rallies across the United States.

Rosary rally is coordinated nationally by America Needs Fatima ( Tradition, Family, Property). It always amazes me that every year they surpass their goal. How did they accomplish it? Of course...with the help of God and the Blessed Mother. Also there are many volunteers from all over the United States and Canada that go to Rossville, Kansas every year to call for volunteer rally captains.

My sister from Canada and I had the privilege to go to Kansas for a week in 2007 to recruit rally captains. We started our day daily with a rosary in the car, mass in a local church and breakfast in the office. Then we will hear the bell from Mr. Pierce signalling the start of our calls. We would pray and get our binders and stack of names to call people all over the United States to recruit them for the rally. It was amazing at the responses we had, and we hardly had anyone turning us down! And if someone needs an interpreter, there was always a caller that is bilingual! There was a great camaraderie with all the volunteer callers. There was no pressure at all!

We would break for lunch which was prepared by the volunteers, relatives and staff of America Needs Fatima. And...oh, boy! what a lunch it was all the time! We were also supplied with snacks, coffee, etc for our breaks. Lunch was a time to chat with new found friends and everyone was very happy and friendly.

After lunch, we were back to our stations for more calls. It was like a three ring circus, in a good way, with several of us calling people. We can hear how the caller gets so enthusiastic with their call that we cannot help but admire the volunteer caller with the grace, ease and friendliness of their tone on each of the calls they make. With that said, how could someone on the other end refuse to be a rally captain?

At around 5:00 in the afternoon, we would hear the bell signifying the end of the day. We would pray and head for the kitchen for dinner. It was always amazing at the food that they served to the volunteers. It was always a feast and so delicious! Kudos to the volunteers in the kitchen! They did a wonderful time feeding the volunteers. My sister and I want to thank them for the great spread they prepared everyday on our stay in Rossville, Kansas!

It was not all work and no play during our volunteer days in Rossville.  The volunteers had dinner at Mr. Slobodnick's (rally coordinator) house where we met Mr. Slobodnick's  family. We also had a dinner buffett in one local place and on the weekend, we had a sightseeing trip to the War Memorial Park which was amazing!

At first, when we saw the cornfields along the way when we arrived, my sister and I thought," we're in the middle of nowhere!" Was this a mistake?  What were we thinking? Reminiscing back, it turned out to be one the best week in our lives. It was a very enjoyable, reflective, fun filled and rewarding experience that my sister and I will never forget. Thank you all!

Please join a rosary rally near you. For more information go to America Needs Fatima. org

FATHER'S DAY JUNE 21, 2015

Father's Day is tomorrow, June 21, 2015, the third Sunday in June. Isn't June 21st the first day of summer? Yes, it is! Nice day, then...right? Right!

Father's Day is a very fitting day to honor all fathers that have sacrificed a lot and gave life to their children. How and what do I remember about my father?  He is the most loving, unselfish and caring person on earth! He is also an avid dancer...boy! can he dance!  I remember him and my mother dancing in our living room while we get the records playing. I do not know why I ended up with two left feet! My father also liked the theater, he would gather us children and off we go to watch a play or a concert in the park. Sigh! memories....good, nice memories.....

He provided well for us, and there were a lot of us, really a lot! I really do not know how he and my mother were able to do it. My mother did not work at all. They wanted us to have the best so we were sent to a private school, and we have a nice, comfortable life. God is really good, that is all I can say. Thank you Mang and Pang for all you have done for us!!!

There were sooooo many, many  happy memories that if I write it all, this page will not be sufficient and I will be here forever. To make a long story short, my father was the best and I really miss him a lot. Oh, oh, here's a tissue.....Stop it! I am sure that others too will be teary eyed when they reminisce their fathers. Are you?

Well, folks, enjoy your father while you can...they will not be here forever... Cherish them, hug them, pamper them, not only during Father's Day but everyday!

Have fun, and have a nice, happy and blessed day!

Happy Father's Day to all fathers!!!!

HAPPY NEW YEAR, 2015

We just have a few hours before 2014 comes to an end, and we usher in 2015, a new year. Everyone all over the world are anticipating the dawning of a new year that will be better than last year. For some..a better job, a better home, and for others, maybe...better finances, reconciliation with others, just to name a few.

What do I hope and pray for 2015? First of all, I hope for PEACE, not only here in the United States , but the whole world. How do we accomplish that? Any suggestions or comments? I believe that everyone should ask God's help by praying. Prayers really help, and if all of us pray, then maybe, God will have mercy and grant us peace.

The next thing I hope for 2015...cessation of abortion here and abroad. I just hope and pray that people will realize that abortion is not a good thing, killing helpless babies.

Another thing I hope for is for the people to go back to God. We eliminated Him from our schools, public places and our lives. See what is going on around us....need I say more? Our country will be a better place if we put Him back in our lives.

There are other things I hope and pray for 2015 for myself, everyone, and the world, but it will be very long that before I know it, we have already welcomed 2015, so I will stop.

What do you hope and pray for 2015?

Wishing all a safe, happy, healthy, prosperous and blessed New Year!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!

ROSARY RALLY OCTOBER 11, 2014

The Rosary Rally ( cordinated nationally by America Needs Fatima )  held on October 11, 2014 was a huge success! Hip! Hip! Hooray! We joined 12, 629 rallies across the United States praying for America and the whole world. Please note that the 2015 Rosary Rally will be held on October 10, 2015...goal: 14,000!
The weather was nice and sunny, although a little bit cold and windy. All the participants were very happy, friendly and enthusiastic. We sang, prayed and recited the Joyful and Glorious mysteries. It was truly an honorto be a part of this exciting event every year. I cannot believe that it has been eight years, since 2007! Some of the participants have been going since the beginning.....rain, snow or sleet! One even told me that she was supposed to have an operation that week, she postponed it just to be with us!! Another one was supposed to have another appointment but chose to be with us instead! I am sure that God and the Blessed Mother really appreciates them in their commitment to the Rosary Rally! I appreciate all the rally participants and cannot thank them enough for being faithful to this cause.
Everyone lingered a little bit in the park after the prayers and we all mingled with each other. It was truly a glorious and a blessed day for all of the rally participants. We all enjoyed each others company and left feeling blessed!!
Thank you all again for participating and God willing, I hope to see you all next year!!! God bless you all!!
Pray for world peace!
God bless America and the whole world!!

MY JOURNEY WITH BREAST CANCER MAY 10, 2014

It has been seven years since I was diagnosed with breast cancer. Thank you God! Thank you Mama Mary! Hip! Hip! Hooray! God is good!!!  My published book with my journey from beginning of diagnosis to surgery and reconstruction to help readers know what the journey entails. Hopefully the book can educate the breast cancer patients what they will be encountering and can make decisions wisely.
