ROSARY RALLY OCTOBER 15, 2016

Rosary Rally 2016 was a huge success! We were one of the 16, 323 rallies across the United States that prayed for the United States and the whole world! Hip! Hip! Hooray!!!
I cannot believe that the Rosary Rally started in 2007. I remember vividly when I was recruited in 2007. I was just diagnosed with breast cancer and had mastectomy. I was at home recuperating and I managed to make phone calls and distribute pamphlets in churches across Detroit and the surrounding suburbs. It had to be God and the Blessed Mother that helped me accomplish all of this amidst my breast cancer journey. In 2008, I had the honor and privileged, together with my sister from Canada, to travel to Kansas and help recruit rally captains and rally participants all across the United States. It was a huge success and it continues to grow year after year after year! Alleluia!!! Praise be to Jesus Christ!!!
Our rally was held on the park, the same park we had been having our rally since 2008. It was such a gorgeous, beautiful day although it was a little bit on the chilly side with a little wind. We cannot complain since a few years back, we did our rally in between our parked cars since there was sleet, snow and it was windy....but we still managed to pray. How about that time that we had to do our rally under the rain with our hoodies and umbrellas...but we still managed to pray. One of the " ralliers" told me that she could not remember the time of the rally since the message was accidentally erased prematurely, but she and her husband decided to just drive and join us. Guess what? They arrived at 12 noon...I told them it must have been the Blessed Mother that guided them. I'm really amazed about my rally friends that had been with me since 2007! What a commitment these " ralliers ( hehehe....is there such a word?)" have to GOD and the BLESSED MOTHER!!! I really feel grateful and indebted to these marvelous, beautiful people for always making our rally a very successful one every year!
We started our rally at 12 noon sharp ( hehe, not Filipino time, sorry, I could not resist, my Filipino friends and relatives). We sang, prayed our intentions, prayed the Holy Rosary, Consecration, Litany etc. It was such a beautiful rally with amazing, caring, and wonderful "ralliers." We all felt blessed and cannot wait until next year's rally which will be on October 14, 2017, with the goal of 20,000 rallies. Please mark your calendars!
Since the weather was nice and we had some catching up with our friends, we stayed and socialized with each other. After all, we have not seen each other for a year! It was such a joyful, blessed, well spent Saturday afternoon with friends. We were all truly blessed!
I really cannot thank enough my wonderful " ralliers" who have been coming throughout these years through snow, sleet, rain or shine. Thank you also to the people that cannot be with us physically but joined us with prayers as we prayed. Thank you all for making 2016 Rosary Rally a huge success! See you all next year, God willing.
May God bless America and the whole world! May God bless all of us!!!

Friends

Friends...what are friends for? To laugh with? To work with? To play with? To cry with? Or is it simply to hang around with? Whatever is the reason, it is nice to have at least one friend! I remembered my father, bless him, a very smart and wise man. He told us not to be too near nor too far with your friends! And I wholeheartedly agree with him! Why? If you are very close to your friend and knows everything about you, when the friendship disintegrate... the whole nine yards of your dirty laundry is exposed! Am I right or not??

On the othere hand, if you are very far from your friend....that is not really a friend, is it not? There is a good word for all of this....moderation! Is that a good word or not??? Comments, anyone??

Some friends come and go. Others have been blessed of being surrounded by their friends since they were really young. I applaud these people that have hang on to their dear friends for a very long time! But that also mean that these people have not moved out of where they were, unless they just kept on communicating with each other all those years! The generation now is really lucky to have so many new gadgets as a result of technology that has been advancing with no stopping on sight!

Is the new technology really great for us or not? There are some pros and cons. One of the good thing about it is that you can really communicate faster with someone even if they are in Timbuktu! Ha! Ha! Is there such a place as Timbuktu? I do not know! What are you against the new technology? Anyone can see what someone is up to any time of the day! Seems we have lost our freedom to be incognito! Then, this is good...everyone is like a celebrity! Except we do not get paid like a celebrity! That is true! We cannot win, can we? Oh, well.

Anyway, let us go back to our topic....friends. It is nice to have one, don't you think so? Problem is sometimes, we become selfish or gossipy that we lose our friends! How do we hold them? Be yourself and do not repeat any malicious gossips about your friend!

Have a nice weekend!!! May God bless us all!!!

A Good Life

What constitutes a good life????? This is a very good question!!!!! A very good question indeed, that answers will range from riches to health to family life!!!!! How about you??? What do you think constitutes a good life??? Or rather, do you have a good life??? Many people will probably say they have a good life. They have a good job surrounded by family and friends!!!! Some people will say thay have a good life because they can buy everything that money can buy!!!! Many people will say they have a good life because they have good health!!!! Some people will say they have a good life because they are very successful and people recognize them wherever they go!!!!

Let us analyze each one of these answers!!!! Oh, no!!!! Here she is again with her analysis!!! Why??? Do you have a problem with that???? Ugh!!!! She is in a rare form again!!!! Just kidding!!!! Ha! Ha! Ha! If you do not want to hear it, then I will stop!!!! Oh, oh, You hurt her feelings!!! Sorry!!!!! Okay, I am ready to rock n roll with the analysis!!!! Wow!!!! That was an easy 180 degree turn around from gloom to sunny and vibrant!!!!

A good job!!! Having a good job means you can live comfortably. You can pay your house notes, pay bills, buy food and other necessities in life!!!! Hold on!!! How about if you are just working for minimum wage???? I do not call that a good job!!! People with minimum wage cannot survive in this economy!!!! Any comments about this, anyone??? You can survive with minimum wage if you are a student living with your parents, or a retiree just trying to get up and do something to keep them from getting bored!!!! You can survive with minimum wage if this is not your only job!!!! Yikes!!!! That means having another job!!!! Goodness gracious!!!! If you have more than one job, there goes your family life!!!!! That is why the family structure is not as good as it was!!! It is hard enough as it is with one job!!!! Am I right???

Money!!!! Do you think you will have good life with lots of money???? Maybe, if you do not love your money soooo much that you think it is your god!!!! Yes, some people worship their money that all they can think off is how to get more money!!!! They forgot that there is someone up there that gave them the good fortune!!!! That is right!!!! The spiritual aspect gets lost in the quest for money!!!! Look at how many celebrities get in trouble!!!! They have money, fame and fortune, but they are still not happy!!!! Needless, to say, money does not constitute good life!!!! But if you do not have money, you will be in the poor house!!!! Then you will not be happy also!!!! You will not be able to afford your house, food etc. Is there a happy medium??? There always is, it is up to the individual!!!! What do you think????

Health!!!! Someone once told me that health is very important!!!! If you have money and you are not healthy, what is the use of having money???? Money just becomes a tool to buy medicine to prolong your life, your daily existence that might not be as joyful as you would like it to be!!!!

Family and friends!!!! Without family and friends, you are nothing!!! You will live a lonesome life. What is money and health if you do not have your loving family with you???? You do not have anyone that will be with you until the very end!!!! Sure, you can have acquaintances, but it is not the same!!! When you run out of money, these so- called friends will be gone also!!!! They are just in temporarily while you are in your glory days!!!!! Any comments????

So, what constitutes a good life???? It is not only one factor, but a combination of factors that is intertwined with each other!!!! And do not forget the most important thing!!!! God!!!!! We owe everything to Him!!!! Amen!!!!
