Live To Dance, 01052011

There is a new reality show on the tube! And it is a dance competition which is emceed by Australian Andrew Gunsberg. Who is Gunsberg? Where did he come from? I mean..what show was he on? I so not know and who cares? At least there is a familiar judge on the roster...Paula Abdul , a former American Idol judge! The other 2 judges were : longtime Michael Jackson choreographer Travis Payne and former Pussycat doll Kimberly Wyatt.

The audition was a combination of young people and old people! The audition in Los Angeles started with a 9 year old hip hop dancer, Jalen. He was adorable and the cameramen kept focusing Jalen's father in tears! A cry baby, indeed! He must really be happy and he could smell the $500,000 prize money! Ya, Baby.....$500,000! There was also the seniors Bev, 83 and Hap, 68, that wowed the audience with their jazz and funky routine! My goodness... how could she still move like that??? Unbelievable!!!! Bev.....you are an inspiration to seniors all over the world!

How about the audition in New York? There was a 90 year old lady, Bonnie Buchner who can still tap dance! Wow, that is amazing! How about the contortionist? The kids dressed like zombies ? Or the 1 guy with a bunch of ladies twitching? Or the young ballroom dancers D'Angelo and Amanda?

There were indeed many talented dancers last night! The auditions still continues tonight, which I think I will be watching. It is okay, but it seems it is missing something which I could not fathom what! Have you guys seen it? Do you know what I mean? Perhaps, it is the first show..and hopefully it will be better on the next show! We shall see!!!

Dancing With The Stars, 11082010

Extra! Extra! There is an existing feud between a judge and a professional dancer!!! Who will win in the feud??? The judge or the professional dancer???

I have mixed feelings concerning this. First of all, a judge is supposed to judge the dance, be it the celebrity dancer or the professional, the technique and how the dance is executed. No ifs, no buts! The judges have a final say, no matter what!!! Right??? You mean the professionals should just take it in one ear and let it go out the other ear??? Just say amen to everything that the judges say??? That is not fair!!! What is fair in this crooked, sad world of ours??? True, but I think the judges sometimes think they are gods on the floor and they can say anything! They do not care if the words are harsh or will bite and burst the ego of the professionals even though the professionals bust their behinds almost 24/7!!! You are right. And if there is drama in a show...any show, the ratings go up!!! People are very strange... they want to see confrontation!!! Any comments???

Who are you talking about??? Carrie Ann Inaba and Maksim Chmerkovskiy! Maksim was not happy with Carrie Ann's criticism of the Cha Cha performed with partner Brandy Norwood! They waited 4 beats to pass before starting with their dance! What is wrong with that? Maksim is trying to be dramatic!! Nenenenene...Maksim...your plan did not work!!! But how else could they know if they do not try what the judges like and do not like??? That is sooo true!!! So, who won?? Carrie Ann or Maksim??? What do you all think??? Comments, anyone???

Tied for first place with a score of 57 were the teams of Jennifer/Derek and Brandy/Maksim!!! This was the first perfect score of 3 - 10's which Jennifer received for her Rumba!!! It was sooo elegant, and very, very nice!!!

Kyle Massey and Lacey Schwimmer received a score of 56 that night. Their Jive was fantastic!!! I tell you, Kyle can really dance!

Kurt Warner/ Anna Trebunskaya and Bristol Palin/ Mark Ballas are still so-so in their dancing. Sure, they have improved a lot, but they still need many, many hours of practice!!! Bristol dodge elimination again! Is this thanks to her Mama and her tea party??? Maybe, maybe not. Who knows?? But I think next week will be the last week that she will be in DWTS! Needless to say, Kurt and Anna were kicked off this week!!!

Who will be the next celebrity to say adios??? Anybody want to bet that it will be Bristol and Mark??? Well, we have to wait and see....

Dancing with The Stars, 11022010

Last week's Dancing With The Stars is the 200th episode of the show, and there were many celebrities in the audience from previous shows. There were also 2 team captains, previous DWTS champions who picked their team members. Both team danced the Cha-Cha.

The first team captain was Kristi Yamaguchi, whose team comprised of Rick and Cheryl, Bristol and Mark and Kyle and Lacey. The second team captain was Apolo Ohno whose team was made up of Kurt and Anna, Brandy and Maks, Jennifer and Derek. When I saw the team, I already thought who will win, and I was right! Why didn't Kristi picked either Jennifer or Brandy on her team?? Was this prearranged??? Hmmmm....Kristi's team scored 24, and Apolo's team had a 27 score! They sure delivered better than Kristi's team!

Then came the individual dance competition with previous celebrities as judges, with the re-creation of their best dance performance! Mel B, season 5, judged Kyle and Massey with Mel's paso doble. Kyle looked sooo serious with an attitude! Mel gave them a 10!!! Wow!!! That was a big surprise! They earned a score of 35! Overall score: 59!

The next judge was Emmitt Smith, season 3 champion. Kurt and Anna mimicked Emmitt's Tango Though I thought it was not that good, they still earned a 10 from Emmitt! Score: 34.

Next was Rick Fox and Cheryl Burke with Helio Castroneves' Quickstep! Helio's had a banana outfit, bright yellow on his performance, and Rick chose an all green outfit, a la the Jolly Green Giant! Rick even imitated the kiss at the end! Score? 10 from Helio, earning them a 37! Overall score: 61!!!

How about Bristol Palin and Mark ballas?? Kelly Osbourne, season 9, gave them only a 9 for their rendition of the Viennese Waltz. Score:33, overall:57! Kelly Osbourne chaged her hairdo to a ponytail! I am still not sure if I like it!

How about Gilles Marini of season 8? Brandy and Maksim performed the Foxtrot! The first thing I saw was Brandy's leopard print gloves! Gilles gave them onle a 9, giving them a score of 37!

The last dance was Drew Lachey's Tango, season 2 champion. Dancers wer Jennifer Grey and Derek Hoigh who cries a lot during practice! Drew gave them a 10, garnering a score of 37!!!

Who was eliminated? Rick Fox, the jolly green giant and Cheryl Burke!!!

Who will be eliminated this week? Probably Bristol and Mark! They are always in the bottom 3! Any bets????

Dancing With The Stars, 10262010

Dancing With The Stars is down to 7 competitors. Another one will be saying goodbye! Who will be eliminated? Does anyone know? Can you take a guess? Come on, tell us, do not put us in suspense!!! Hold on! You have to be patient... Remember, patience is a virtue!

Let us take a look at the stars with their Tango and Paso Doble. Who danced the Tango? Kyle and Lacy, Rick and Cheryl, Bristol and Mark, Brandy and Maksim. Kyle and Lacey were better than last week and they earned a score of 24! It seems with Rick and Cheryl, Cheryl did all the work again, but the judges still gave them a score of 24! I can see that Rick's charm work his wonders with the judges! Bristol and Mark were better. I think Bristol is coming out now from her coccoon! She is more at ease and seems to be in control! Their score? 23! Go, girl!!!! Brandy and Maksim. What is wrong with Brandy? She is a cry baby! Always crying... did she get the judges sympathy with her crying??? Perhaps, because even though maksim lost his balance, they still received a score of 26!!! Wow!!! That was really good!!!!

How about the Paso Doble?? Audrina and Tony had a so-so dance, score:24; Jennifer and Derek made a mistake.. are they overconfident now??? Their score is a mere 20! How about Kurt and Anna? Kurt still seem awkward..score of 18!

Since it was a Rock n Roll night, the finale was a dance marathon that whichever team stays the longest in the dance floor will receive an extra score of 10! Kurt and Anna were the first to go out, and the winner was Brandy and Maksim!!! It must have been Brandy's night!!!

It was soooo shocking to see Audrina Patridge and Tony Dovolani go. I thought it should be either Rick or Kurt! I guess the sports fans are solid behind their sports idol!!!!

Who will be eliminated next week?? Who knows?? The public is hard to decipher!!! You never know what to expect! Hopefully, next week we will see better performaces!!!!

Dancing With The Stars, 10182010

Another celebrity bid farewell to Dancing With The Stars! Can you guess who it was??? Bristol Palin, who had the lowest score, or Kyle Massey, whose dancing Len did not like! Why not? I think it was cute - a combination of foxtrot and disco!

Let us look at the dancers. Maksim Chmerkovskiy and Brandy. They danced the Quckstep to the tune of the theme from Friends. Their dance earned the highest score for the evening - 27! I thought it was an okay dance! Kurt Warner and Anna Trebunskaya who danced the Bewitched theme. He earned a score of 24. I thought he has improved a lot and he was having fun!

Kyle Massey and Lacey Schwimmer, who danced the Foxtrot to Charlie's Angels theme song. They garnered only 20 points because Len did not like the combination of foxtrot and disco. Len gave them a 5! What is wrong with you Len?? Don't you think outside the box??? Your vision is just like a tunnel, straight , no detours, no thinking outside the box!!! Tsk! Tsk! Tsk! Len, where is your creative vision?? Is it because of your age?? Now, now, leave him alone! If he wants to give them a five, that is his prerogative! He is old fashioned, what do you expect???

Jennifer Grey and Derek Houghwith the foxtrot to the tune of Love and Marriage, the theme song from Married with Children. Before they danced, I had the prediction that they will not surpass the Tango from last week. Boy! Was I right!!! Their score? 25! Rick Fox and Cheryl Burke dancing the rumba to the Hill Street Blues theme song. Rick Fox looks always dashing whatever he wears! Never mind his dancing! Their score? 24!

Florence Henderson and Corky Ballas dancing the tango to the tune of the Brady Bunch. It seems they were having fun with the dance and music. The presence of Barry Williams, 56, Florence's oldest son in the Brady Bunch did not help them dodge elimination. why would he? I don't know! Anyway, they lack the intensity of the tango! Well, what do you expect? The Brady Bunch song is not a typical tango dance! Their score? 21. Audrina Patridge and Tony Dovolani with their rumba in the theme song of the Hills. What the heck is The Hills? Does anyone know? I thought their dancing was just so-so. their score? 23!

Bristol Palin and Mark Ballas dancing the Jive in the tune of the Monkees. They started with the monkey costumes which was really good. Then they stripped off their monkey costumes and it went downhill from there! They lost their timing. Bristol later said that she hates the Jive!!! Hmmmm.....Of course, you hate the Jive because you suck dancing it!!! Nevertheless, Bristol and Mark dodge elimination! Will they be safe again next week?? Bristol need to loosen up and have fun! She is sooo uptight and very proper! Oh, well, she does not want to embarass Mommy Palin, which I can understand! Any comments, anyone??

Who was eliminated? Florence Henderson and Corky Ballas! I do not think any oldies will ever win the DWTS trophy since there are so many young ones that can really dance! I wonder why they even include older celebrities that have difficulty moving!! So nobody can yell discrimination??? Goodness, gracious!!! This is a real dancing competition! The older generation can probably just watch, and not dance because it is not pretty to watch them! Oh, oh, that is not good - criticizing the older generation! If they want to dance, let them dance! That is true, if they can do it, let them dance!!! Right, guys????

Dancing With The Stars, 10122010

The week 4 of Dancing with the Stars is different. It is an accoustic show, and the stage is smaller which is a small, round platform with audience clustered around the edges. Hopefully, nobody will fall off from the small stage! Why did they do that?? To accommodate more people, or what?? What do you mean by an accoustic show?? Len Goodman keeps saying it before the show! You do not know what that means?? My! My! My! Accoustic show means that only guitars, violin and piano music accompanies the dance!!! You think now you are smart? Heck, no!! A smart aleck! Ha! Ha! Ha! I got ya!!!!

The scoring is also different. They have two categories: the first one is the technical merit of the dance, and the second score is based on their performance. Then the scores are added to get the total score! Whew! They should just stick to the previous scoring system!!! Why did they do that? The judges do not have anything better to do than to think of how much more they can humiliate the celebrity contestants! Whoa!! Those are rather harsh words! Damn right, you are!!! Giving the celebrities a score of 4 or 5??? That is too cruel!!! And their comments are very harsh also! They started with Michael Bolton and got away with it, so they keep on doing it!!! Maybe these judges started like that so now it is payback time!!! What do you guys think??? Well, for one thing, if there is drama, people liked it! More drama, more viewers, more moolah!!!! Right??? It is what keeps the show going, besides the celebrities!!!

Let us now look at the celebrities and how their dancing was! First, Kurt Warner and Anna Trebunskaya. They did the rumba with the blessings of the wife of Kurt! Why did he need her blessings? Sigh! Don't you know anything?? It is a sexy dance, so there are some intimate touchings! For heaven sake!!! It is not like you are in bed doing something indecent!! Now, now! Kurt said it is against his Christian principle since both Anna and him are married!!! Anyway, he received 3 - 5's from the judges for technical, earning him a score of 34!!! Ouch! And it was Kurt and his wife's anniversary!! Thanks a lot, cold hearted judges!!!

Next was Brandy and Maksim Chmerkovskiy dancing the rumba. What was Brandy wearing? It seems like she just draped a flimsy white sheet on her! Wait! Come to think of it, have I not seen that sheet on previous contestants? Their score was 48! It was an okay dance for me that started with a sort of dinner date to get Brandy in a romantic mood! No comment!!!

Rick Fox and Cheryl Burke who danced the Argentine Tango. Rick sure looks like Clark Gable with his mustache which Bruno remarked! Leave it to Bruno to notice it!!! Score: 39.

Kyle Massey and Lacey Schwimmer who danced the rumba. I didn't know that Kyle is a young kid! He just turned 19! No wonder he acts goofy! But he can move, and he is fun to watch! Score: 40.

Mike"The Situation" Sorrentino and Karina Smirnoff in their Argentine Tango. He showed more of his abs this time! I think Karina did all the moves. True, The Situation was able to catch her and she came out unscathed on the duration of the show, but all he did was stand and walk! That is Karina's fault, not Mike's! The Jersey Shore star received 3 "4's" and stormed off backstage and said he was done with it and left Karina speechless!! I do not blame him! He was right that he worked his tail off to go to the dance floor and be given a mere 4!!! Ouch! Double Ouch!! The Situation's ego was clearly damaged, big time! This is what the celebrities get for signing up to be in the show... to get abused and ridiculed? Is it worth the million dollars they are paid to be in the show?? Is it only a million or more?? Any comments???

Florence Henderson and Corky Ballas. My! My! My! Mrs. Brady is showing off her bad side!!! She and her partner are full of sexy and dirty moves!!! Wow!!! What does that show??? Age does not matter with sex! He! He! He! Naughty! Naughty! Naughty! It earned them a 35 score with their rumba!

Jennifer Grey and Derek Hough with their Argentine Tango! That was excellent, and I think that was a good choice of music also! Derek really pushed Jennifer to her limit which earned them a score of 56!! Well done, Jennifer and Derek! It is always fun to watch them with her graceful, beautiful body and I am sure that she has a lot of fans out there!

Bristol Palin and Mark Ballas. I think Bristol's shyness is still there. She does not feel at ease in front of people considering she has been in the limelight a lot! Well, she exposed her legs this time!!! Whoopee!!! That is a first! You are right, she is not dressed like her grandma this time! Mama Palin was there watching her! Maybe that is why she cannot loosen up??? What is it with taking Mark's top off during the dance?? I thought she will take off her white shirt also! Their score? 32. Mama Palin should do something so her precious daughter will not be booted off next week! It will be nice to see her come out of her coccoon!!!!

Audrina Patridge and Tony Dovolani with their Argentine Tango. After Derek and Jennifer??? Not even close!!! Too bad they danced after the leaders of the night!! Oh, well. Their score was not bad: 46!!!

The Situation and Karina had to say goodbye after 4 weeks! Too bad!!! I still do not know why he is called The Situation! Anybody knows??? Will the judges stay mean?? Who will say goodbye next week??

Dancing With The Stars Season 11, 010042010

There is a new leader of the pack in Dancing with the Stars! Her waltz earned them a whopping score of 26, with one 8, and two 9's!!! How about that??? She was soo graceful and the choreography was so nice that even the three judges were impressed!!! Will she keep her crown next week??? Who knows??? I am talking about Audrina Patridgeand Tony Dovolani!!!

Let us take a look at all the dances. Each dance had a storyline which in some, I did not get it. I thought I was the only one, but the judges did not get it too!!

The Situation and Karina. They did the Foxtrot, a 2.0 version of the situation where they went to a time machine and their wardrobes were instantly changed! The Situation showed his abs with his see-through top to the delight of Bruno and others! I think there is still a lot of improvement that The Situation needs to do! He is still too stiff and no grace whatsoever!! Well, what do you mean??? He is a guy that has not been dancing like the professionals!!! You got that right!!!

Margaret Cho and Louis van Amstel. They had fun with their Samba but she was not really into the timing of the dance. Sad to say, but they earned the lowest score of 18!!! Margaret is older so she, of course will have a harder time manipulating her body! It will take time to get her body tuned in to dancing!!! She made a remark that she was studying ballet when she was younger, but someone commented to her that she was the fattest ballet dancer she has seen, so she kicked off her dancing shoes from then on!!! That is a shame! Kids can be very mean!!!

How about Bristol Palin and Mark Ballas? The storyline was a homeless guy that will dance for food! Their Foxtrot was something to be desired! Bristol was still very stiff and not graceful at all!!! And what is it with her outfit??? It seems tooo old fashioned!!! She is a young girl!!! Well, she does not want to embarrass her mommy!!! But she looks old with her outfits!!! She should try to loosen up!! She seems so uptight everytime she is on the dance floor!!! Have fun!!! You are only once in DWTS!!! Make the most of it!!! It is easily said than done!!! Let me see you on the dance floor watched by millions!!! Sorry, but we are not talking about me!!! Ha! Ha! Ha!

Jennifer and Derek with their Samba. It had a student/ teacher storyline, which showed how hot Jennifer is still is!!! I was dissapointed though when they seemed to have tangled on one of the spins!! As a result, they only earned a score of 24!!! Come on guys, you are better than that!!! Time to go back and reclaim your #1 status!!!

Brandy started the practice with a duct tape she brought to put on her mouth to listen to Maksim's teaching. If I am Maksim, I will do that on all practices from the beginning to the end!!! Ha! Ha! Ha! Brandy seems to be sooo opinionated and hard- headed??? Am I right??? The storyline was a bodyguard to a singer. I thought the dance was lacking something, but it still earned them a score of 24!!!

Florence and Corky with their Sound Of Music. Florence had trouble grabbing her skirt from time to time! What do you expect from a 76 year old dancing the waltz??? I think she was ok considering her age! At least she is still alert and can still dance!!! Their score was 20!

Kurt had to practice being graceful before their Foxtrot. He had a tea party with his 2 adorable daughters, where he had to sit on a small chair and drink tea in small cups!!! That was sooo cute!!! The storyline was turning a bad day into a good one, which earned the 6'2" Kurt and Anna a 23!!!! Every little things help....right Kurt????

How about Kyle and Lacey? Kyle's challenge was to find softness which he passed with flying colors!!! Their dance was with the Eagles which Lacey did not know who they were! Sorry, people, I don't know the Eagles also!!! Lacey can really dance too. It is just not noticeable because of his size! But he has the grace and moves of a good dancer!!! They had a score of 23!

Last but not least is Rick and Cheryl. Doing the Samba with the storyline of a basketball loser finding a hooker was not bad at all. I think Rick earned more points ripping his shirt! LOL. Score?24!!

The guest stars were Ne-Yo and Michael Bolton. Michael Bolton had to fill in for Susan Boyle at the last minute. Susan had a severe throat infection and was supposed to tape Leonard's Cohen's " Hallelujah" on the show. Last month, Susan was prevented from performing the 'Perfect Day" on America's Got Talent with a 100 piece choir because the rights to the song were not cleared in time for US audiences. Susan was left in tears and was upset when she flew back to Scotland. It was really commendable for Michael Bolton to cancel his engagement. His rendition of Hallelujah was really good!!! I was sooo impressed!!!! After the performance, Michael had to go back to Iowa for his gig!!! What a trooper!!! What can you say to that, Bruno????

Too bad, someone had to leave the show. This week it was Margaret Cho and Louis van Amstel. So long, Margaret!!!! Did you guys had fun watching the shows and wished you have the grace and a professional dancer to teach you??? Yup, but I guess we will just have to settle to watching!!!!

Dancing With The Stars, 092710

It is week 2 of Dancing With The Stars and there is already a celebrity that became upset with one of the judges! I would too, if he tells me that I danced the worst jive in all 11 seasons!!! Ouch!!! Double Ouch!!! First of all, I think that remark was uncalled for!!! Second, some of the celebrities are not dancers... sure, they are entertainers but they probably have 2 left feet!!! Kudos for them for at least trying to dance in front of million of viewers!!! And probably some of these celebrities, like the one that was ridiculed in front of millions of viewers probably is earning more than any of the judges!!

Which judge committed the worst blunder in the history of Dancing With The Stars?? None other than Bruno Tonioli!! He told Michael Bolton during his jive routine with Chelsie Hightower that the dance was the worst jive in 11 seasons!!! Bruno, Bruno, Bruno, when you were learning how to dance, did you get it just like that??? You need to go to a school that teaches how to speak right and not hurt the feelings of people!!! Who do you think you are???? You can really tell that Michael Bolton was really hurt! Michael told on live TV that Bruno is inappropriate and disrespectful!!! Bruno is really something else!!! What??? I can't say the words here, you know!!! I thought the previous dance episodes had worst dancers but Bruno kept his mouth shut on them!!!! Why??? Who knows!!!

The storyline of Chelsie and Michael's jive dance was based on the song, " Hound Dog," which I thought was very lame. Michael crawled out of the doghouse. Yikes! Chelsie, how did you came up with such a gimmick??? During the interview of Brooke Burke with Chelsie and Michael, Brooke asked how the pair came up with the storyline. Duh!! Brooke, were you listening and watching?? What is wrong with these people at DWTS??? They have lost it!!! Comments, anyone????

The leader of the pack was once again Jennifer Grey and Derek Hough! Even though Jennifer's neck was hurting due to the plate and 4 screws on her neck from her surgery last year due to cancer of the thyroid, she really danced her heart out and really nailed the dance! They only received a score of 24, that is why booing erupted from the audience!!! They should have gotten a better score!!! Why judges, is it because it is only week 2 and no one deserve a 9 or 10??? Hmmmmm.....

How about Kyle Massey and Lacey Schwimmer with their Quickstep?? He is really good, considering how his body is built! What do you mean?? Didn't you see him??? That is why Lacey is trying to control his fast food diet!!! Fast food diet!!! Ha! Ha! Ha! You are ninkampoof!!

What about Bristol Palin and Mark Ballas? I was really surprised to see her dance this week. She has really improved and it seems that she has loosened up a little!!! Mama Palin was there watching her little girl! When Mark and Bristol went to Alaska, Sarah Palin was trying to imitate Bristol's shimmy! Did she succeed??? Sorry, I will not touch that with a ten foot pole! Ha! Ha! Ha! Bristol reminds me of Kelly Osbourne that had emerged from her coccoon into a confident, young lady!!

The rest of the celebrity dancers have also improved. It remains to be seen which ones will emerged as contenders. To date, I only see Jennifer Grey and Kyle Massey! Brandy?? Not really! She seemed too over-confident! The Situation?? Too stiff!!! This reminds me of what Carrie Ann Inaba said after the dance number of The Situation and Karina Smirnoff. Carrie Ann asked The Situation what his shoe size is. When he replied size 11, she said that he is pigeon- toed??? What the heck does that mean, Carrie Ann??? What does shoe size have anything to do with being pigeon- toed?? I don't get it!! The judges of DWTS have gone berserk!!!! I can't wait for the other episodes to see what else will come out of the judges mouth!!! Ha! Ha! Ha!

There is a professional dancer that we really miss!! Who??? Edyta Sliwinska, the sexy dancer with skimpy material on her outfits! I guess she have a major disagreement with the producers about her role and her husband, season 1 champ Alec Mazo's role on the show. I also read that Edyta wants to go back to school to get a degree in Communications and Dance. Is this right, anyone? Can she walk away since she is still under contract? Who knows??? Good luck, Edyta!! But you are one dancer that is really missed in DWTS! Any comments???

The dancers are getting better and the judges are getting meaner and lose. What else do you think are we going to see in the episodes to come??? Who knows??? I cannot wait!!!

So You Think You Can Dance Finals

America's favorite dancer was finally crowned!!!! Who was it??? Can you guess??? It was between Kent Boyd, Lauren Froderman and Robert Roldan!!! Tell us!!! You have to wait a little!!! Tell us!!! Nope!!!! Not yet!!! Remember, patience is a virtue!!! Oh, my gosh!!! She is not going to tell us.

Let us talk first about Cat Deeley and her," jidges." Ha! Ha! Ha! Now, you are being funny, imitating Cat Deeley!!!!! I am not really making fun of her, it is so cute when she say," jidges"!!! Nowadays, though, I noticed that she say judges right!!!! Someone must have told her to practice saying it!!!! Before I proceed, do you all know that her real name is Catherine???? I didn't know that!!! Thanks to Adam Shankman, now we know!!!! Well, tell us the fashion she was wearing. The first day, she was gorgeous with her short black dress. How about the next day??? Her dress was almost the same color as her hair or skin!!! It has big flowers on her letft side!!! I thought she has already worn that dress before!!!! Are you sure??? No. Does anyone know if that dress was a repeat performance? How about Mia?? She showed her tattoo the first day, and on the second day, she looks fantastic with her hair, makeup and clothes!! There were sooo many judges behind the table on the final night, 7 of them!!!! Wow!!!! Mary Murphy, the hot tamale queen was there looking hot and loud as ever!!!! Woo...hoo!!!! I surely missed her loud mouth!!!!

As usual, there were several guests. The last guest was Ellen Degeneres, dancing with Twitch!!! She was a replacement for Alex Wong in the dance number. The show highlighted the judges choice of dance. Alex was there, still in a cast, teary eyed because he went on the stage on a wheelchair on one dance and again after Twitch and Ellen's performance!!!! I wondered what was on his mind on this final day???? Any thoughts???? He might be thinking that he would surely be on the top 3 if not for the unfortunate accident? What is in store for Alex??? Will he be well enough to compete for the next season?? If he is, do he just go straight to Hollywood??? Everyone must have really felt bad for him, especially he was doing so well and he was the favorite!! And to think that he left his job in the ballet company for a shot at being America's favorite dancer!!!! Oh, well, he is young and everybody knows his talent, so he might get a big break somewhere!!! And to think that he is more marketable now... he is not confined to one dance only!!!! Well, Alex was just thinking outside the box!!!! Good for him!!!! He is young and he will recover soon and will dance better than before!!!!

Okay, who won??? We have been in suspense long enough!!!! My, my my... no patience!!!!! Anyway, any of the 3 dancers could win the coveted prize. They were all good!!! Per the judges, Robert Roldan was the most improved; per Cat Deeley, whenever Kent Boyd comes to the stage, the girls go berserk!!!! How about Lauren??? Per Cat Deeley, her last solo was incredible!!!! She must have done some crazy stunts that Cat Deeley was surprised that she was still alive after the solo dance!!! I missed it, so I could not comment on that!!!!

Well who won?????America's favorite dancer is...... Lauren Froderman!!!!! I knew it!!!! Everytime she goes on stage, the judges always says that she is an epitomy of perfection!!!!! Good job, Lauren!!!! Congratulations on a job well done!!!!!

So You Think You Can dance, 08042010

There are only 4 dancers left on the So You Think You Can Dance!!!! Which of the 4 will be eliminated??? Which of the 4 will survive another elimination??? Who will win, and be declared the best dancer of all??? Any thoughts, or comments???

Cat Deeleys's outfit on the first day was stunning with her short hair!!!! Woo... hoo!!!! It showed her shapely figure and long legs!!! The second day outfit is more conservative, long hemline that just stopped short of her knees!!! It was nice and Adam Shankman complimented her!!!

How about Mia Michaels??? Her outfit on the first day was different from the gaudy clothes I am used to seeing!! It was nice with her hair with some braids!!!! Her outfit the next day was also conservative!!! Her tattoo cannot be seen with her outfits!!!! Wow!!!! Is Mia trying to change her image????

How about the judges??? Nigel Lythgoe did not make any blunders this time!!! There was also a guest judge, Tyce Diorio, who is also a choreographer!!!!

The show as usual, have guest performers: Janelle Monae - singer, Desmond Richardson - dancer and Flo Rida - singer. To tell you the truth, I did not really watch them!!!! It must not have excited you then!!! That is right!! Oh, well..

Back to the show.... It showed the 4 remaining performers attending the premiere of Adam Shankman's new movie, " Step Up 3D." Wow!!!! Adam has ventured into the movie business!!! I am impressed!!!! Good luck, Adam!!!!

Who were the 4 remaining dancers??? Adechike Torbert, Robert Roldan, Kent Boyd and Lauren Froderman!!! I am really impressed with Lauren, and hope she wins!!! Who was eliminated?? Adechike!!! He should have been eliminated a long time ago, but probably he has a good fan base that is why he outlasted Billy Bell!!!

Well, next week will be the finals!!!!!!!! I cannot wait to see who will be crowned the new champion!!!! Any sneek peek???Any bets???? None??? I guess we will have to wait until next week!!! That is good!!!! We do not want to spoil the fun!!!!!

So You Think You Can Dance, 07292010

The recent episodes of So You Think You Can Dance saw the departure of 2 more dancers. Do I think that the dancers booted out deserved to go??? There was no doubt that one of them should have stayed!!!! He probably does not have a good fan base outside that he was sent home packing!!!!! What are you talking about???? Sounds like a gibberish talk to me!!!! Tell us who were sent home!!!! Not yet!!!! You have to wait a little bit!!!!

Let me talk about Cat Deeley first. The first day of the episode, she looked nice with a black and white dress. How about the second day??? I had to wear sunglasses again, because Cat Deeley was sooo bright with her hot pink outfit!!!!! Ha! Ha! Ha! Just kidding!!!!! She really looked great with her hot pink outfit!!! Is it just me or was her hair a shade darker???? Also, she was wearing sooo many bangle bracelets that I thought she was going to dance a Bollywood number!!!! Oh, ya??? Dacing a Bollywood number in high heels???? Are you crazy or what???? Cat Deeley looked great with her skinny figure!!!! Do I sense jealousy there??? Ha! Ha! Ha!

How about Mia Michaels??? Mia looked great also with her black dress!!! Wow!!!! I was really surprised that her tattoo did not show. So, Mia has conservative clothes!! I was really surprised to see her in a conservative outfit!!!! What did you think of her outfit the next day??? She was back to showing off her tattoo!!!

There was a guest judge also... Toni Redpath, a 4 time undefeated American professional ballroom dance champion and a choreographer!!! She was a breath of fresh air in the show!!!!

How about Nigel Lythgoe??? He made the biggest blunder on the show!!!! The 61 year old judge called So You Think You Can Dance.... American Idol!!!! That was a big ooopsie from the old foggy!!!! Nigel, we know that you might be going back to American Idol as executive producer and will replace all judges!!!! Are you going to be in SYTYCD and AI at the same time??? Will you be up to par with that???? Can you concentrate or you are just excited, since it will be American Idol versus Simon Cowell's X Factor???

Who were in the bottom three??? Jose Ruiz, Billy Bell and Lauren Froderman!!!! Jose Ruiz and Billy Bell said goodbye in this episode. I can see Jose leaving because it seems all he can do is the same breakdancing that he has been doing from the start!!! I was sooo surprised to see Billy Bell leave!!! I think Billy is a better dancer than Adechike Torbert!!!! What do you mean??? That is just a matter of opinion!!! Other people think that Adechike is good, hence he was saved from elimination!!!! How about you guys out there, any comments????

There are only 4 competitors left!!!! Three guys and a girl!!!! Who would be crowned the So You Think You Can Dance champion???? Will it be Adechike, Kent, Robert or Lauren???? I think I like Lauren, but I do not think she will win because of her lack of fan base!!!!! Hopefully, the voting people will see her talent and start voting for her!!!! Well, any bets who will win?????

So You Think You Can dance, 07212010

There are only 6 competitors left in So You Think You Can Dance, but there are only 5 that performed!!!! Why is that??? There was another injury!!! Are you sure these season is not cursed???? Who knows??? With the rate that these dancers are going, by the finale time, they might not have any dancers left except the all stars, the judges and Cat Deeley!!!!! Gee whiz!!!! Hopefully not!!! I do not think that the show is cursed!! What I do think is the dancers are being pushed to more than their physical limit!!!! I thought at first that it was really brilliant that they added the all stars, but after Alex Wong was eliminated because of injury, I changed my mind!!! That is why I have been asking if this is what these youngsters have to look forward to in their professional life???? Anyone care to comment???? This last show marked their 150th episode!!! How about that ??? But I do not remember in the previous episodes of sooo many injuries!!!!

Each contestant had to do 3 dances, one with the all stars, the second dance with another contestant and the third dance is a solo. Wow!!! That is a lot of dances to learn in just one week!!!! The dancers must really like to dance, otherwise this is a form of a punishment!!!! Ha! Ha! Ha! Is that what you think?? Maybe for you, but not to the competitors!!!! The competitors must really like the challenge or they would have quit!!! That is sooo true!!!! Think of all the dances they can learn!!!! Just think, when you were in school.... That is a long time ago!!!! Ha! Ha! Ha! You crazy, old fool, I am not going to quiz you!!!! Okay, then, proceed....What were you saying??? When you were in school, think of how much the teachers had to cram in that pretty little head, week after week!!! Did you complain??? This is not the same!!!! In school, your brain are doing alllllll the work, and in dancing, it is your body!!! Wait!!!! You cannot compare apples and oranges!!! In school, it is only your brain that is working!!! In dancing, you are using not only your body but your brain as well, to learn the dances!!!! Right???? Well, at least, these dancers are still young, unlike the dancers at the Dancing with the Stars, who have to learn 2 or 3 dances also in one week!!!! My, my, my, You are cornered so now you are going to say something about about another show!!!! Well, let us just go back to our topic...

Did you see the 2 outfits of Cat Deeley???? The first day was a beige dress with a spaghetti strap, with a sort of wrap around red flimsy cloth!!! That is the best I can describe that dress!!!! I think we all could have done a better job with that dress, and it would not probably cost an arm and a leg!!!! Who cares??? The producers are paying for it!!!! Hmmm.....Have you guys seen it??? Do you all agree with me??? How about her hair??? No complain, simple and nice!!!! How about the second outfit??? It was a flowing beige dress, which is a good summertime dress!!! She had a big, nice flower on her hair which was a good accent on her pretty little face!!! How about the judges??? What is it with Mia Michaels and her oh, so big tattoo on her right shoulder??? She is always flaunting it!!!! You are just jealous, you do not have one!!!! LOL....Was it always there??? I do not know, and who cares???? How about the other 2 judges, Nigel Lythgoe and Adam Shankman??? They are okay, so far. They also had a guest judge, Kenny Ortega, the director and choreographer of High School musical. He is good, he knows how to critique in a good way without any hurting words!!!!

So, who were in the bottom 3??? Robert Roldan, Jose Ruiz and Billy Bell, who has an injured knee!!! Per Nigel, 2 doctors evaluated Billy and told him that it is up to him to dance if he felt well enough. Billy chose to sit out this week!!! Can you blame him??? Of course not!!!! It is his body!!!! The injury is fresh, and who knows what more can happen if he chose to dance this week??? Good for you Billy to stand firm on your decision!!!!! I really applaud you that you did not succumb to pressure to perform!!!!! The judges decided not to eliminate any dancers this week, but next week, it will be a double elimination!!!!! You three guys are sooo lucky this time!!!!! Will your luck continue next week???? Any comments, anyone?????

So You Think You Can Dance, 07152010

There are only a few competitors left! Another dancer left the show, and the dance competition is getting more rigorous! The All Stars dancers are being partnered with the competitors. I thought it was really good, but after the second injury, I was wondering if the competitors are being pushed too much beyond their limits??? Is it like this in the real world of dancers?? The dancers have to show that their bodies are unbreakable and made of steel??? If that is the case, is it worth it to go through the strict rehearsals and other things to be a successful dancer??? I can just imagine the frustrations of dancers when they get injured, and their dreams to be a choreographer or land in a Broadway show comes crushing down!!!! Comments, anyone????

The show started with the competitors dancing with the All Star dancers, which was really good!! Then came Cat Deeley being wheeled on a couch like a goddess, so regal in her yellow dress!!!! I had to wear sunglasses while watching her because she was sooo bright, like the sun!!!! Are you serious??? Ha! Ha! Ha! Duh!!!! That was a joke!!!! Cat Deeley looked really nice with her yellow outfit!!!!

There were several guests, including Jamar Roberts and Rachel Mclaren from the Alvin Ailey American dance theater, and Twitch and Comfort, an All Stars dancers. There was also a guest singer, Christina Perri, a rising star. She sang , "Jar of Hearts", which I did not really like! Hmmm... What did you not like about it??? For me, it was missing the oomph factor. It was a very lackluster performance!!!! She was very forgettable!!! That is it!!!! That is the right word!!! I know that she cannot compete with the well known singers, but she has to make her performace better!!!!! She did not capture my undivided attention!!! A very dull performance! Do you think it is because she is new to the field, and still quite shy??? Perhaps!!! If that is the case, she needs to build up her presence!!! Enough!!!! Give her a few more months and she will be a different entertainer!!!!!

As usual, there were some dancers that performed well and some that did not!!! The bottom 3 dancers were Ashley Galvan, Billy Bell, and Jose Ruiz. I was sooo surprised that Mia Michaels criticized Jose this time!!! Is it because his braids were covered on the show!!!! Ha! Ha! Ha! Not the braids again!!! Anyway, the dancer that went home was Ashley Galvan due to her injury!!! The doctors said that she cracked a rib and would need at least 3 to 5 weeks of rest! Nigel said that she need to recuperate for the tour!!! Is this episode cursed??? This is the second injury, and hopefully the last one!!!!

It was a sad parting for Ashley, but it was not as intense as the send off for Alex!!!! I wish Ashley well, and do not be sad! Although you will not be the winner in this competition, you will be in the dance tour with your friends!!!! Billy and Jose should thank you for saving their behinds in the elimination!!!!

So You Think You Can Dance, 07082010

A disastrous day for one of the competitors... that should be the headline for the previous episode of So You Think You Can Dance!!! The competitor suffered a lacerated Achilles tendon, which means it was detached and will need surgery, and a few months of recuperation!!!!! The show ended with teary eyed judges, competitors, and audience!!!! They all felt so sorry for the turn of events for the talented artist who was eliminated as a result, and will not coming back this season!!! An opportunity lost??? Maybe, but it will make this dancer more stronger!!!! How about next year??? It is not the same!!!! Why not??? This person will start again from the beginning!!! Well, that is life!!! That sucks!!!! There are glory days, there are frustrations and disappointments!!! It seems the trophy was within reach and it fell crumbling down!!! In that case, get up and show the world that you can do it and if this door closes on you, there will be others that will open up!!!! You will see... the aftermath of the recovery will be sweeter and grander!!!! By the way, who are you talking about??? You have to have patience!!! Remember, patience is a virtue!!! Lol. You are killing me!!! Ha! Ha! Ha!

There are only six contestants left, 2 girls and 4 boys! I did not realized that there were only 2 girls standing!!! Oh, oh!!! What does that mean??? Nothing, only 2 girls remain!!! Spill it!!! There is something brewing on your pretty little head!!!! Well, does that mean that there are better male dancers than female??? No, that means there were more boys that auditioned this season than girls!!!! Do you know the ratio??? No, but the judges of the show probably knows!!! What do you guys think out there??? Any comments???

The dancers had to dance two different dances, one with the all star dancers, and the second dance, with a competitor!!! Can you imagine learning 2 dances in such a short time??? Yikes!!! Oh, boy!!!! I cannot even learn one!!! That is because you are hopeless, and you have 2 left feet!!!! Okay, I get it!!! That is what I get for putting myself in their shoes!!! That is right!!! Plus, these are boys and girls and not their mommy!!! Ha! Ha! Ha! I could not resist!!! Stop!!! You think you are sooo funny!!! Then why do I see your body jiggling with laughter??? Ha! Ha! I caught you!!!! Jiggle.... jiggling with laughter..... jiggle, jiggle... wiggle..... wiggling with laughter... that sounds like a good song!!!! Any takers??? From you??? Ha! Ha!! Ha! Never mind, you cannot even carry a tune!!! Yes, I can!!! Where??? In the bathroom!!! You are sooo stupid and insane!!! Just stick to your blogging!!!!

There were some brilliant dancing, and some dissapointing dances!!! I did not like Adechike's interpretation of Bollywood dancing!!! He completely murdered the dance!!! Now, now, that is harsh!!! You are sounding like the judges!!!! Okay, I take it. Let me paraphrase it... It looks like he did not get the dance, and was making his own moves!!! Is that better??? It was funny though, don't you think??? That is why I am sooo surprised that he was not in the bottom 3!!!!

How about the judges??? They were all civilized!!! Surprise!!! Surprise!!! Wait, how about Mia's sarcastic remark to Adechike?? I agree with Mia, though!!! Mia apologized later. I guess the judges are showing tough love to the contestants!!! After all, in the real world, it might be worst than what the judges are saying on this show!!! The judges are just preparing the dancers what is ahead of them in show business!!!! Right??? Any comments????

How about Cat Deeley??? She was gorgeous!!! Her hair flowing with 2 ornaments, and her outfit the same color as her dress!!! She made a remark to the judges, though, when they were hard on Adechike. She said with Jose, who did not perform well also, the judges only had good words, his looks, his joy and his dedication, and with Adechike, only harsh words!!!! When Cat Deeley said this, I said, oh oh... I hope Cat Deeley will not get fired talking back to the judges!!!! She will not!!! The judges need a conscience also, in the form of Cat Deeley!!! Back to Jose.... I told you before and I will say it again.... it must be the braids that is getting the judges like Jose!!! I wonder if Adechike put braids on???? What will he look like??? Hmmmm.....Are you crazy??? What are you thinking??? A wig!!!!! Like Jose's!!! Are you nuts??? You are really, really out of your mind now!!!! Ha! Ha! Ha!! Come to think of it, it might not be a bad idea!!! Well, what do you folks think????

I have dragged this long enough. The bottom 3 were Billy, Ashley and Alex!!!! Alex!!!! Why in the world would Alex be on the bottom 3??? He is the favorite!!!! Well, he came on the stage with crutches!!! He injured himself during the rehearsal, will have surgery on Tuesday, and will be off for 3 months!! That is very sad and very heartbreaking!!! Billy and Ashley should be thankful to Alex!!! Alex saved their butts and the duo will have another week with the others!!!! A very disappointing finish for Alex indeed!! His family and fans must really be devastated of the horrible news!!! I wish Alex a successful operation and a speedy recovery!!! Go, Alex Wong!!!! There is always next year!!!!

So You Think You Can dance, 06252010

The previous episode of So you Think You Can Dance was a sort of a bashing of Travis Wall, one of the choreographers, by Nigel Lythgoe! Wow!! I would have loved to have seen that! How did I miss it?? Because you cannot stay on your seat!!! You have to go up and around like something or someone is pinching your butt!!! Maybe, someone was pinching my butt, are you jealous???? Ha! Ha! Ha! Ooooohhhh.......Aahhhhhhhh.....I thought of something, maybe we can go to America's Got Talent and have a new song..... Oooohh... Aaaaahhhhh..... Ooooohhhh.... Aaaaahhhh..... Just say those words over and over while beating the drums!! Sounds good???? Enough of your nonsense!!!! Oh, well, I am just trying to put a smile on your face!!! Did I suceed??? Never mind, do not answer!!!!

Back to Nigel's episode with Travis. Shame on Nigel for reprimanding his choreographer in public!!! He should have not done the humiliation of Travis in public!!! I will be surprised if Travis returns to the show! And what will he do?? Nigel is the producer, Travis is only a dancer- choreographer! I am sure that he can find work somewhere since he is very talented!!!! And I was asking a few weeks back if Nigel is a good boss!!!! Is this the reason why Adam said something about harsh criticism??? That criticism is good for growth??? It is, but if I am working for you, it should be between the two behind closed doors, not in front of the whole world!!!! Maybe, they need a lesson on how to speak nicely and constructively, because if you have harsh words towards your employee, it will just create hard feelings!! Or is this a put on drama to the show, to boost the ratings??? Why do you think everything is a show??? Well, it is show business, is it not???? Am I right or what??? Anyone care to comment???

The show started with a group dance choreographed by Sonya Tayeh. It was a nice start, followed by the gradual elimination of the dancers. In the bottom 3 were Christina, the ballroom dancer, Melinda, the tap dancer, and Robert. Christina's solo was the same old dance she did on her previous solo, Melinda, with her usual tap dancing, and Robert with a contemporary style. Nigel loves tap dancing, so Melinda got spared because of that, I think, plus she is tall, very attractive, and has a good figure which shows with the tight red leggings she was wearing that night!!!! ! Robert did the Argentine Tango the previous night and was very good at it. Why did he ended up in the bottom 3??? I thought that Adelchike should have been in the bottom 3. I guess it depends if you have a good fan base who will vote for you to stay in the competition, or perhaps, there is something I do not see that the outside world see in these dancers that were spared. As usual, Alex was spared and so with Kent, Adelchike, Ashley, Jose Lauren and Billy. It seems that you are doing a roll call. Should someone say present??? You are soooo crazy!!! You just love it, because it adds spice!!!! See, I see you smiling!!!! LOL.

So who left the show??? None other than Christina!!!! The decision was not unanimous per Nigel. Before she was let go, the judges have high praises and Christina got a lot of buttering from Nigel!! Holly Molly, Nigel, you are eliminating the poor girl!!! If she is that good, why bother to let her go???? Well, did you not take psychology or something??? Oh, oh, here she comes with her intellectual cap. The judges does not want the contestants to leave with a grudge or hard feelings. They want to have good rapport and show their respect to the the contestants!!! Then they should also show respect to their choreographers!!!! Oh, oh, I thought we were done with that??? Yes, we were, but I just cannot resist to give my 2 cents spill since we touch the subject again!!!

The show had also brilliant guests that included Brian Gaynor and Remote Control, and Debi Nova with the all stars dancing in the background. You should have seen Debi Nova standing beside Cat Deeley! They look like David and Goliath!!! Wow!!! Cat Deeley is really tall!!! By the way, I liked her outfit and hairdo this time!!! It was very nice!!!

What is in store for the viewers next week??? For one thing, the guests will be Ne Yo and Viva Elvis Cirque de Soleil!!!

Have a nice weekend!!! May God bless us all!!!!!
