Amazing Race, 11282010

There are 4 teams left on the Amazing Race. Will the doctors remain in first place? Will they eventually win the million dollar grand prize??? What will happen to Nick and Vicki's relationship?? Will they survive the hustle and bustle of the race??

Jill and Thomas were the first team to fly 3,500 miles to HongKong. In HongKong, they had to take the bus and ferry to Cheung Chau Island and search for the Cheung Po Tsai Cave for the next clue. The clue will take them to Majesty Chinese restaurant in Kowloon. In the buffett table, one racer has to find a fake piece of food. Every food they touch has to be eaten! Wow!!! I wish I was there! The food look sooo yummy!!! But there are 2 racers that do not think so! Claire and Vicki got sick and started to throw up!!! Yikes!!! That is sooo gross! Once they accomplish this task, they can proceed to the next one.

The next task is a choice of Ding Ding or Sampan. In Ding Ding, racers had to board a 100 year old tram searching from the thousands of signs for the next Pit Stop, Statue Square! In Sampan, racers had to pick a wooden cage with 2 parakeets, board a sampan to find the registration on the hundreds of the boats that matches the one on the bird cage! Sounds easy??? No, I do not think so!!! The task was so hard that Nick slept on the boat leaving Vicki by herself looking at the hundreds of boats! Nick wanted to go and just incur the 6 hour penalty but Vicky did not want to give up! My! My! My! Vicki...is that what is in store for you and Nick??? Think hard before you continue your relationship with him!!! Well, any comments, anyone??

The first team to reach the Pit Stop was Nat Strand and Kat Chang. Amazing!!! These women doctors are really good!!! Go, girls!!! What did they get?? A trip to Rio de Janeiro!!! Is this the third prize they have won so far??? Wow!!! The last one to arrive were Nick DeCarlo, and Vicky Casciola. They were really lucky since it is a non-elimination leg of the race, but they have incurred a 6 hour penalty and a speed bump! Oh, well, at least they are still on the race!! Maybe this time, Nick will be nicer to Vicki and will be a better teammate!!! Who knows??? Any bets about this team???

Apprentice, 11252010

There are 4 people left in the Apprentice. Who will be eliminated on this episode? Who will be in the finals?

The episode started with Donald Trump giving them their assignment, which was to sell women's accessories by designer Isaac Mizrahi at QVC in West Chester, Pennsylvania. Octane, Clint Robertson and Steuart Martens chose the leather satchel handbags since Clint saw how his wife bought very expensive handbags when they were still well off! Fortitude, Lisa Mucheru- Wisner and Brandy Kuentzel chose the mother of pearl watches!

Steuart was the spokesperson on their team. I thought he did a good job except Clint should have kept quiet! Clint was trying to feed words to Steuart which a distraction! And Wow! They were selling the handbags for $194.97 which Mizrahi thought was too high! I thought that was outrageously high also. They sold 24 handbags for a total sale of $2,174.25. Did they win??

Lisa chose Brandy to be the spokesperson since she is Caucasian. Per Lisa, 85 % of QVC viewers are 85 % Caucasian. I do not know why race has anything to do with the spokesperson is???? They were selling the watches for $69.50, and they sold 77, bringing the total to $2,998.38!!! The women won!!! Way to go, girls!!!!

In the boardroom, the men were scrambling to get their behinds saved! Steuart is only 27 years old, has a business degree - finance and marketing. Clint is 40, is a CPA and has a law degree!!! Steuart mentioned that he grossed a million when he was 23! Clint burst his bubble by stating that he too made a million by that age!!! Wow!!! Very impressive!!! I think I like Steuart better. Why? Just because he is better looking than Clint??? No, it seems that Clint is kind of cocky and has a high and mighty attitude! I do not know, maybe it is just me. Any comments, anyone???

Who did Trump fire?? Steuart Martens!!! Steuart is back in Washington DC to his business ventures!!! Hopefully, he learned something in the Apprentice that will help him with his business!!!!

Who will be Trump's latest apprentice? Clint, Lisa or Brandi??? Stay tuned next week!

Skating With The Stars, 11232010

Now that Dancing With The Stars is in the past, there is a new show that emerged, " Skating With The Stars." Since there was nothing good to watch, I decided to watch it. I was surprised to see that the celebrities can skate! Wow! They must have picked those with previous skating experience, although I was not sure who they were! The professional skaters are also not known, at least by me! They are not the skaters that are well known. Why? Perhaps, the well known professional skaters are very busy, or perhaps the producers are not giving a very good incentive to join the show! Who knows??? Whatever the reason or reasons are, it is here, it is already a signed and seal deal. Just keep quiet and watch!!! I wonder if Skating With The Stars will give the same thrill, excitement, and controversy that the fans experienced with Dancing With The Stars??? I guess, we will have to find out, won't we??

Here are the skating pairs: The first pair is Bethenny Frankel/ Ethan Burgess. Frankel was the first runner up on Apprentice: Martha Stewart, a natural food chef and has appeared on The Real Housewives of New York; Burgess is a 3 times USA team member and has won medals in skating. Frankel was not bad with her skates!

Next pair: Brandon Mychal Smith/ Keauna McLaughlin. Smith plays Nico Harris on Disney channel Sonny with a Chance, and McLaughlin is from Hawaii and partner of Ethan Burgess. Smith can really skate!!!

Next pair: Jonny Moseley/Brooke Castile. Didn't Moseley won medals for his skiing in the Olympics? Castile is now a coach and choreographer in Detroit. She was the 2007 US national champion with partner Ben Okolski. Never heard of Castile nor Okolski!!

How about Rebecca Budig/ Fred Palascak? Budig is on All My Children as Greenlee Smythe and Palascak is married to Melanie Lambert, another skater!

Sean Young, a movie actor and Denis Petukhov. Petukhov and Melissa Gregory represented th US in the 2006 Winter Olympics.

Vince Neil, a rock singer with Tommy Lee in Motley Crue. Is he the oldest in the group??? His partner is Jennifer Wester who trained in Italy and Switzerland!

All I can say to the pairs is that they were not bad at all! I was surprised... I thought that I will see a lot of them falling and slipping on the ice. Impressive first day!! I might watch them! Has any of you know and heard of the skaters??? Any comments????

Undercover Boss - Subway, 11192010

Dan Fertman, former member of the pop band Crayon is the latest featured undercover boss. I never heard of the Crayon group. Did they ever had number one hits or songs that you know???He was the orange crayon of the band. He had to enter a rehab for drug and alcohol abuse, just like the other entertainment people!!! How come almost all pop singers, rock stars, and actors had to do drugs and alcohol?? Probably, they have sooo much money they do not know what to do with it! Or perhaps, they are lonely, so they resort to drugs! What do you think???He was offered a job selling subway franchises when the band broke down, and eventually he worked his way up!!! Although he worked at Subway, he confessed that he never made a subway sandwich!! How about that??? I thought that is a pre-requisite to be employed in Subway or any other sandwich shops!!! How did he dodge that training??? Hmmmmm... he must really be good friends with the owner!!!

His first mission? To make sandwiches! He was paired with Jessi, a sandwich artist! Wow!!! Is that what they call people who make sandwiches??? With the title, do they get paid more than the other fast food places??? Why not sandwich engineer??? You are a nincompoop! Well, they attach everything to an engineer, so why not a sandwich??? Ha! Ha! Ha! You are sooo crazy!!! So, next time I make a sandwich, I have to say, the sandwich artist at work!!! He! He! He! Anyway, back to Subway.... Did you know that sandwich artists can make a sandwich, wrap it up and put it in the bag in 40 - 50 saconds??? Wow!!! That is really fast! Needless to say, Fertman failed to accomplish this feat, so Jessi just assigned him in the back doing dishes and emptying the trash bags! What did Jessi get in return??? Fertman offered to pay her college education and a vacation for her and her father!!! Same old story like the other undercover episodes!!! It is getting to be too corny and boring, don't you think so??? Then why do you watch it??? There is nothing better to watch!!!

Second task was in Auburn, Alabama which was game day! Sherri, who has worked for 19 years at Subway was his mentor. Sherri found out that Fertman is a talker...he was slowing the line!!! Well, to make the story short, Fertman offered $10,000 to her to star in a customer service video and to be flown to California for a national conference to get RRR- rest, relaxation and retail!!! Wooo...hoooo.....

Next stop was baking with Efrainin a new store in Orlando, Florida. Did he do well with baking? Of course not!!! Plus, he managed to lock himself in a walkin freezer!!! That was hilarious, but scary for Fertman!!! So, what did Efrain get from all of this? 45,000 to donate to a foster program of his choice and $1,000 to do something nice for his adoptive mother! That's it??? That seems too cheap!!! Comments, anyone???

Last stop was in a subway shop in a church in Buffalo, New York! It has been in existence for 5 years and it provides job opportunities and experience for people in the region! Duane, his mentor showed how to do delivery. He was impressed with Duane, who was also a pastor in another church that he waived the $15,000 franchise fee so he could start his own Subway shop in his own church!!

By the way, how much is a Subway franchise? I do not know but you have to have money to make money!!! And nothing is cheap!!! Do you know that Subway is a 14 billion empire with 33,000 stores in 93 countries!!! That is really good!!! I wonder about the other sandwich shops??? That is for you to research!!! Ha! Ha! Ha!

Have a nice weekend!!!! God bless everyone!!!

Post Thanksgiving News

Another Thanksgiving Day had gone by.... now we are left with many leftovers!!! What do we do with the left overs, if it was not given away??? It will remain in your refrigerator for a few weeks. How about months of housing in the freezer that will be forgotten until next year??? Ha! Ha! Ha! You are crazy!!! With this economy??? I do not think people will be throwing their left overs!!! It will be re-cycled to create a new dish!!! Like what?? Turkey, make sandwiches or casseroles!! My family do not like turkey, so we have not been serving turkey for a long time. Ham is also one that we do not buy for the holidays. For us, the ham bone is the only thing we want for the pea soup!!! I wonder where we can get ham bones for the soup??? In the garbage!!! Yikes!!! You are sooo gross!!! I do not think so. People use it for pea soup!!! It is sooo yummy!!! Ham is also good for the western omelet, is it not??? If you did not eat turkey and ham, what did you have??? Good old Chinese food.....Chicken fried rice, crispy chicken, cantonese chicken chow mein. We also had barbeque pork in skewers, cheesy potatoes with bacon, cut up vegetables and dip, watergate salad, pumpkin pie with cool whip and oatmeal raisin/chocolate chip cookies!!! Wow!!! That sounds good!!! It was really, really good!!! My family and I were sooo thankful for the blessings we have! I am sure all of you are saying the same thing!!! Now back to reality....

Let us start with the mega mosque. I thought this is no longer going to happen! I was so surprised to see that Sharif El Gamal, the developer for the project, which changed the name to Park 51 project to The Cordoba House, was named one of NBC'S people of the Year!!! Isn't that amazing??? Matt Lauer interviewed him last night and I was amazed to know that he was born to an American mother and an Egyptian father! He is a Muslim, and I almost choked when he said that, "every Muslim is a true Jew and Christian, because Islam considers itself to be the true, corrected version of Judaism and Christianity." Either he is a fool or a liar to say that or he does not know his religion!!! And to top it all, he is asking for a $5 million grant from the United States government to help finance the building of the mega mosque!!! Isn't that ludicrous??? Enough of this, it just makes me soooo mad!@!!

Next item... Seniors. Medicare benefits for senior will be cut down, and some doctors will no longer accept Medicare patients. Medicare is cutting payments to doctors by 23 % starting December 1st to keep Medicare spending on doctors in line with the economy's overall growth rate. The retirement age will go up to 67 in 2027!!! Yikes!!! People will not get the break they deserve after working all those years!!! Plus benefits will be lowered to wealthy retirees and will trim the annual cost of living!!! What do you mean??? Seniors are upset because for 2 years now, there is no cost of living allowance, while the government workers will be given a substantial increase across the board!!! Go figure the madness of this!!! Did you know that there was over 1.5 million that filed for bankcrupty this year, and there are many seniors included in the statistics!!! With the cost of living, health care costs and low income, I can see why!!! This is not right, don't you all agree???

How about North Korea provoking war with South Korea??? That is not good!!! I did not know that there are many American soldiers stationed in South Korea??? North Korea attacked South Korea last Tuesday, but South Korea did not respond with a counterattack! South Koreans did not like that their government was too soft. As a result, their country's defense minister resigned last Thursday!!! And where was the North Korean president? President and son were busy touring a soy sauce factory and a medical school!!! My! My! My! I think that was good that the South stayed calm and cool. They are being cautious that it will not escalate!!! They have to be applauded. Let us all pray for North and South Korea that they will have peace!!!

I have to touch on the General Motors being public, with the initial offering of $33.00. Whatever happened to the die hard GM stock holders when they were dead??? The stockholders were pushed under the carpet, so to speak! GM changed the old GM name to MTLQQ, and you know what??? It is not worth anything!!!! Only a few cents!!! What happened, GM??? You should not have penalized the people that has stocks from you that did not leave you!!! Boo...hoo... to you!!! Don't you get it??? This is a greedy, hard core company that does not care with anybody!!!

I think I have enough bad news for this glorious day. I will shift my blog to ....Black Friday!!!! Where did Black Friday originate? Per Wikipedia, it originated in Philadelphia in 1966, and indicates the period where retailers are turning profits, hence, "in the black." It is the day after Thanksgiving, the busiest retail shopping day of the year. It is the start of the Christmas shopping!!!! I cannot believe that people really set up camp outside of stores to go shopping at the wee hours of the day, amid the rain and cold weather!!! What are they trying to buy??? Electronics which probably was slashed quite a bit!!! The only thing about these sales, you go there, wait for hours to go in the store, only to find out that there are only 3 or 4 with that price!!! The stores will lure you to come in... and once you are there, you might settle for a higher priced item and buy more things that you really do not need!!! An impulse buying!!! Do you get a raincheck?? Maybe, maybe not!!! If you get one, you will be lucky to get it. Sometimes, you keep coming back to the store only to find out that they still do not have it!!! And after so many trips, you just get tired and throw the raincheck away!!! Any comments??? I do not know where these people get the money to buy and buy... With nearly 15 million unemployed, or around 9.6 %, you would think that people will be apprehensive to spend their money this Christmas!!! With the higher taxes looming ahead of us, I am not sure if we should really part with our hard earned dollars!!! I know, I know!!! We should help the economy!!! That is easy to say...but who is helping our individual economy??? I rest my case!!!!

May God bless us all!!! Have a nice weekend!!!!

Thanksgiving Day, 2010

Happy Thanksgiving to all!!!!

Are you ready for the turkey and all it's trimmings??? Wow!! There goes our diet again!! Forget about diets, will you pass the turkey, cornbread, potato pie, pumpkin pie, casseroles, etc..etc... Yum! Yum! Yum!!! I just love the holidays... good food and good company!!!

Let us thank God for all that we have. May He continue to shower us with His grace and blessings throughout the year.

Have a safe and a very good Thanksgiving!!!

Dancing With The Stars - Season 11 Finals, 11232010

Dancing With The Stars- Season 11 is finally over, and another Mirror Ball Trophy was handed out to a celebrity!!! Was the winner a well deseving one, or was it just from the popularity of the celebrity??? How was the final episode???

Let me start with the judges. Len and Bruno, I cannot really say anything about them and their outfits. Carrie Ann Inaba??? I do not like her hair!!! How about Brooke Burke?? She seems to be always posing and she flutters or blinks her eyes constantly when the camera is on her! What is wrong with that??? I think she is overacting, and she seems to be artificial!!! I am not sure if that is the right word. Oh, well. Am I the only one who noticed this about Brooke??? Her outfits though are really nice, with that figure to die for!!! And how many children does she have??? Wow!!! That is truly amazing!!! How about Tom??? Why do people like to pinch his butt??? What does that mean, and what is different with his butt??? My! My! My! You ask too many questions!!!

Well, the final episode was graced by Christina Aguilera, singing and looking sexy!!! I think this is from her new movie with Cher, "Burlesque." Actually, I did not like her singing and movements, but who am I to say??? I am sure many people out there would like her movie, especially the men!!! Oh, Ya, Baby!!! The men would really like this movie!!! Ha! Ha! Ha! Back to DWTS.....

The eliminated celebrities also performed. Brandy and Maksim, who I hoped have recovered from the shock of being eliminated before Bristol Palin! Kurt Warner and Rick Fox also showed their dancing skills with their partners, and so with Margaret and Florence. Margaret must be really pleased that she once again wore her rainbow costume!!! How about Florence??? What in the heck was she wearing??? She is really sooo yellow with her outfit!!!! What is wrong with that??? Nothing, she just looks like a banana!!! Ha! Ha! Ha! A yummy one???? Never mind, do not answer!!!! How about David Hasselhoff?? He was lip synching and dancing! I was sure he was itching to sing, but he was not given an opportunity, which was good!!! Why? Don't you like his singing??? Not really!!! The Situation was also there, as usual, showing off his abs!!! Show off!!! Is it just me, or he seems to be a big head??? Comments???

Well, now, are you done with the guests? Are you going to tell us about the final 3 and their dances? Patience, my dear!!!! You are sooo impatient!!! Okay, okay....The first set of dance was the favorite ballroom dance of each celebrity! Kyle and Lacey performed their Tango. It was good and it earned them a score of 26, with an overall score of 82!!! They should have performed a livelier dance that shows Kyle's bubbly personality!!! Can you use the word, " bubbly" for a guy??? Who cares whether I use bubbly for a guy or not??? This is a free country, sort of!!! Yikes!!! Calm down!!! Goodness gracious!!! How about Bristol and Mark with their Tango??? First of all, I do not like Bristol's outfit! She seems to be a part of a band! Arghhh, she is sooo conservative at her age!! Well, she does not want to embarrass her mommy!!! Can you blame her??? They earned a score of 25, overall score - 77!! How about Jennifer and Derek? I was so surprised that they did not dance the Tango also! They settled for the Waltz. When I saw that, I said, oh, oh, why did they chose that dance??? Is the song from Dirty Dancing??? I think so! Probably it is also because of a ruptured disc she incurred the night before!! I am soo amazed at how her body is at her age!!! Are you jealous??? Yup!!! And soooo with many women out there!!! Right??? She really looks good, pain and all!!!! How could she still be flexible at age 50??? Their score? A perfect 30, with an overall score of 90!!!

The next round of dance was Cha - Cha, with the instant music," Raise Your Glass," by Pink. their dancing were all okay. All I can see with Jennifer and Bristol were their outfits flapping!! Well, their outfits were better than that of Lacey!!! What in the world was Lacey wearing??? Well, she wants to be different. It is not good!!! Oh, well, to each his or, rather, her own!!! Leave her alone, will you!!! She can wear anything she wants! After all, this is a free country, is it not?? This is the second time you said that!!! Why??? Do you really want to touch that subject??? Okay, we are still a free country, but when we go the airports... we are treated like criminals!!! We go through a scanner that someone sees all of you, and then we get a thorough pat down, including your private parts!!! If someone touches you outside that is a suit, because that is sexual harassment... touching in inappropriate places!!! How come the government does not condone this??? I want to see them go through this unnecesseary sexual harassment!!! Oh, oh, I should not have provoked you. You are again deviating from DWTS!!! Okay, where am I?? Their scores!!! The scores??? Kyle/Lacey - 28, Jennifer/Derek - 28, Bristol/Mark - 27!!!

And the winner is... Jennifer and Derek!!!!! This is the third time that Derek has won!!! I think he is just sooo lucky that he gets young partners!!! Jennifer is not young!!! Ya!!! But she has been exposed to dancing from her movie!!! Let us see if he gets someone like Florence, Betty White, Margaret and other older celebrities. Whew!!! It is a good thing the really deserving dancer won!!! Now the controversy should die down!!! Anyway, how do they end up with their partners??? Can the professional dancers pick or is it a random raffle??? Does anyone know???Comments???

Amazing Race, 11202010

The teams on this episode had to fly 2,000 miles from Muscat to Dhaka, Bangladesh. The first to leave was Chad and Stephanie. Will Chad and Stephanie continue with their lucky streak, or will they be eliminated? This is the beauty of the show, no one knows who will emerge victorious at the end of each leg of the race. There are so many variables, plus the race is not for the faint of heart! You have to have endurance, stamina and brain power to succeed! It is unlike the other reality shows where you wait for the votes, either outside or from your peers, which sometimes is not fair! If you have a good fan base, then you will win! What are you talking about???Now, now, I am deviating from my topic, so I will leave it. Okay???

The teams have to go to Sundorban Square supermarket to find a sugar cane press. Each team had to fill a large mug with sugar cane juice and one team member had to drink it to get the next clue! That must have been a yummy drink!! I remembered munching on sugar cane and it was sooo sweet!!! You cannot eat the whole thing, you just have to get the juice out!!! Then you have to spit out the thing! Yikes!!! Spit!! That is gross!!! Not really spit, but throw it out, okay??? What thing?? I guess the sugar cane pulp or whatever it is called! Come on, someone help me with the right name!!! So much for that.....Once they accomplish this task, they will get the next clue!

The next clue took the teams to do either Balanced Bricks or Balanced Meal. In Balanced Meal, teams had to pick up a midday snack called tiffin, which is delivered in a stack of metal containers. Ha! I have seen this in old movies! I am surprised that they are still using it in some parts of the world! Well, there are many things that are still done the old fashioned way!!! Here, in America,we just put it in plastic containers, and presto! you have your lunch!! We have really become people that go for modern things!!! I wonder how much those metal containers cost in auction??? Hmmm, after all, they are antique!!! I also wonder if someone here still has some of those??? Anyway, the teams had to travel to a harbor to a cargo ship where they have to hoist 30 containers to the deck. How hard is that??? Seems like an easy task, is it not? Once the meals were delivered, teams had to return with 10 empty containers!Only then will they get the next clue!!

In Balanced Bricks, teams had to transport 100 bricks using their heads from a supply shop to a nearby shop. Ay..ya..yay!!!! Won't that break your neck??? That is a lot of bricks!!! Can you do it??? I doubt it. Can you??? Once the bricks are delivered, the clue is handed to them!!!

There is a new twist to the episode: a double u turn! Two teams had to pick a team to go back and perform the other side of the detour! Woe are the teams that will be u-turned! This might be a costly task for them! Jill and Thomas targeted Brook and Claire, Nat and Kat u-turned Chad and Stephanie!!! Oh, oh, I can see the words revenge written all over Chad's face!!

The next clue took them to a rickshaw cycle shop at Nazira Bazaar where each team had to assemble one. That must really be a huge business for rickshaw in Bangladesh! Wowie!!! I could just imagine how hard it is to assemble one, just like what the teams experienced! The rickshaw has to be assembled perfectly or there will be accidents with people riding it!! Can you just imagine, if a person is riding it and all of a sudden, it falls apart??? Yuck!!! Please do not think of such a thing!!! Sorry, I could not help it! Once the task is done, they can go to the Pit Stop at Lalbagh Fort.

Jill and Thomas were the first to arrive and they won $15,000 Discover gift card! That is another beauty of the show.....contestants keep getting prizes along the way, and they are not cheap prizes either!!! So, are we going to audition for the next show??? Of course..... not!!!! Ha! Ha! Ha! You thought I will say yes!!! Not this kid!!! I do not think I could last more than one leg!!! How about a million dollars??? Is that enough incentive??? Nope!!!!

Sad to say, Chad Waltrip,26 and Stephanie Smith,23, newly engaged were eliminated. The u-turn cost them dearly, but at least they are engaged and they won a trip!!! That is why, the first cannot always remain as the first in this reality show!!! Too many variables, and soo many surprises!!!!

Anything Goes.......

There are so many topics that I am so intrigue that I want to blog about. To start, Dancing With The Stars. Brandy Norwood and Maksim Chmerkovskiy, the team that just got eliminated. Until now, they are still upset why they left before Bristol Palin and Mark Ballas! I was wondering if Bristol has a better fan base than the 2 combined, that is why they were eliminated! Why is Brandy and Maksim sooo devastated with their loss over Bristol??? These two must really have big, big heads, or ego, as they call it!!! Plus you two do not have a Mama as big as Mama Palin!!! She was almost going to be our vice president, and she is sooo pretty!!! Can you imagine, competing with the daughter of a bigger celebrity that the two of you combined!!!! Come on, Maksim and Brandy, get hold of yourselves, be a sport!!! Plus, Maksim's run in with Carrie Ann Inaba was uncalled for! Why can't Maksim zip his big mouth??? In other words, what is done is done, you two should just accept your loss gracefully and do it in the name of the sport! Do not let this cause you unnecessary grief and lose of sleep!!! You two should not dwell on this... move on and do not be sore losers!!!

Ten richest countries in the world. 1- Luxembourg, the size of Rhode Island, bordered by France, Germany, and Belgium. This is Europe's premier investment center! 2-Norway, a highly literate and affluent population because of income from oil and natural gas. 3-Kuwait, smaller than New Jersey, contains 9% of the world's oil reserves. 4- Macau, textile and manufactured goods exporter with a productive seaport. 5-Brunei, the home of the Sultan who used to be the richest man in the world!6-Singapore, leaders of pharmaceutical industries and electronics. 7- United States. Even though the unemployment is almost 10 %, it made the list due to the large salaries of the upper middle class and the wealthy!! Surprise, surprise!!!! 8- Hong Kong, heavy exporter and center of international banking. 9-Switzerland, international banking and investment for wealthy businessmen and retirees. 10- Netherlands, a very liberal, social policy and a free economy. Wow! Some of these countries are very tiny, and unheard of, I think, until now! I can see Swizerland because of the wealthy people hiding their money there. Sigh! I wish I have that much money too, to hide it in the Swiss Alps!!! Ha! Ha! Ha! You are sooo crazy!!! Kuwait...I can see why because of the oil! Isn't the United States rich in oil also??? The government just does not want to drill it!!! What are they waiting for??? I was going to say Christmas, but it is fast approaching!!! You are nincompoop!!! Oh, well. How about Netherlands? How did they manage to be on the list. Maybe it also has to do with their beautiful tulips and I heard that there is a real Moulin Rouge in Amsterdam where there are many ladies freely walking all over the place, that women from other countries might be scared to tread on, but the guys will really be happy to go to!!! Comments, anyone???

George Soros, an American stock trader and philanthropist that Glenn Beck has been focusing on. Beck claims that Soros is the mastermind of the New World Order and gives money to the person who can be his dummy in the government of a country so his agenda will succeed!!! I also heard that our president had Soros backing him so he won the election!!! Is this true, anyone??? Soros is trying to dominate the world!! Do you want to dominate the whole world?? Well, personally, no!!! I do not want to have a lot of gray hair on me! Just look at Soros and his head of hair!!!Yikes!!! It is all white!!! He seems to be very old!!! And he is still very ambitious??? My! My! My! I wonder if he is married and have kids?? Why?? I was just wondering if they will take over his agenda when he pass away!!! After all, he is not a young horse!! Ouch!!! But filthy rich!!! I hope if he has a family, that his family has Christiam values!!! What do I think of all this?? I think it might be true! And the New World Order is not new. I read about it in the 90's, and it is only surfacing now. Why?? Who knows??? Nobody thought at that time that it is feasible , and evryone is busy trying to accumulate more money!!! Now, the tune has changed to hopelessness by people with regards to unemployment, housing, etc...etc. that is why people have more time to think and see the real picture nowadays of their surroundings!!! Right??? I just hope and pray that we are not nearing the fruition of this New World Order! Any comments, anyone???

FEMA( Federal Emergency Management Agency) concentration camps, which is over 800 nationwide. It is run by the government in a program called REX 84, Readiness Exercise 84. It is fully operational and ready to receive prisoners should the United States government institute a martial law! There are 2 subprograms: operation cable splicer, to control population and Garden Plot. Is this why the government is trying to pass a bill to regulate our gardening in our backyards?? Majority of the detention camps can house 20,000 prisoners, with the biggest one outside Fairbanks, Alaska that can hold 2 million people!!! With the big uproar of the TSA's screening and groping, are these concentration camps for the people that does not want to do what the perverts in Washington wants to do with the flying people??? Heaven forbids!!! Please do not put ideas in their hollow heads!!! It is bad enough as is!!! Okay! On the other hand, is this in preparation for the New World Order or the One World government?? Maybe!!! Do you think this will happen in the very near future??? It does not matter when this will happen, but it will not be a pretty sight for everyone!!! I hope and pray that all of these are just a bunch of bull crap!!! Comments, anyone???

My gosh! all you talk about is doom and gloom, not only to us but the whole world!!! Anything else that you forgot to mention??? I think that is all for now. I will let you digest all of these and see if you can believe it or not.

Let us all pray harder that God will spare all of the people on earth with the scheming of egotistical, selfish few that wants to rule the earth!

May God bless America and all of us!!

Survivor - Nicaragua, 11172010

The survivors are changing their alliances!!! What do you mean? And which survivors are changing??? NaOnka, for one. She used to be Brenda's best friend. Now, she is working against her!!! How about Sash?? He only used Brenda. Didn't you see that he was chummy with Marty before he left??? You cannot trust NaOnka and Sash!!!! How about Chase??? I think Brenda had Chase wrapped around her little pinky!!!! He will do anything to get back with Brenda!!! He wished!!! I do not think Brenda really likes him!!! Brenda seems to be arrogant, with a high and mighty attitude!!! Those attitudes will get you nowhere in life, let alone the survivor drama!!!!

The reward challenge was a simple one... the team's had to go across using 4 barrels and slabs of wood. If one of the teammate touches the ground, they have to go back to the starting point!!! See how easy that was!!! Ya! Right!!! The winning team, the Blue team, consisting of Fabio, NaOnka, Jane, Purple Kelly and Chase went to Cerro Negro by helicopter. Cerro Negro is one of the most active volcanoes in the world. There, they did a volcano sledding and had a pizza, brownie and pop feast! The losing team went back to camp, only to see their camp and food burned down to ash!!! Whose brainchild was this...to move the fire closer to their shelter??? None other than the nincompoop, Fabio!!!

How about the immunity challenge??? Wow!!! An older lady winning against the healthy, young guys!!! Who am I talking about??? None other than Jane!!! It sure was a physical challenge! I do not know how she did it!! It consist of standing on a small platform over a pool, holding on to a rope and leaning backwards! They have to keep moving down the rope every few minutes!!! She sure has the strength and endurance!!!! A very impressive feat!!! An old lady prevailed against the wimpy, young guys!!! Good for you Jane!!!!

What about the Tribal Council??? Brenda Lowe was a very proud survivor who saw herself in a very big hole!!! Even Sash, her co-conspirator did not save her with his immunity idol!!! Chase, her puppy dog did not save her either!!! Almost everyone voted for Brsnda except Purple Kelly who voted for Benry!!! Oh, ya, baby!!! Purple Kelly is on a league by herself!!!!

Who will be the next one to be eliminated??? Not NaOnka and Sash, who each has an immunity idol!!! Will Chase get the wrath of the survivors for telling Brenda about their plan with her?? How about Dan?? He is sooo quiet, that if he and Jane ends up as the final 2, he might win the million dollars!!!!

Undercover Boss - Lucky Strike Lanes, 11142010

The featured Undercover Boss in this episode is the CEO and co-founder of Lucky Strike Lanes, a bowling entertainment center in the United States and Canada. He is 61 year old Steven Foster from Burbank,California, a graduate of Boston University Law School. This is one undercover boss that seems to cry a lot. A very emotional guy who seemed to be very attached to his late mother! His first venture was Jillian's, a pool parlor/ bowling alley that filed for bankruptcy in 2004. So, he already has a business experience that will make his second venture successful!!!

Lucky Strike Lanes opened its first location in 2003, and has spread to 20 locations across the United States and Canada. What is different with this bowling place?? It is an upscale club with gourmet food and luxurious lounges frequented by celebrities in Los Angeles and New York!

His first task was bartending with Devin, a young, energetic guy with roller skates on his shoes! He is like the kids rolling down the corridors!!! When I saw his shoes, I was really laughing!!! Whoa!!! What an enthusiastic guy!!! Foster puts on a giant bowling pin costume and went out on the street. He was having fun with his new role!!! As a result, he will be wearing the costume once a week for therapy!!! Was Foster good with his bartending?? Of course not!!! He was putting too much alcohol in the glasses!!! What is wrong with that?? Sigh!! Do I have to spell it out to you??? Yup!!! Okay, then! The customers will really be very happy, but the management will not be happy because it will cut down on their profit per bottle!!!! Got it??? Foster was so impressed with Devin that he will pick up the tab for Devin and father's vacation! Devin will also be in charge of a national campaign to include Mr.Pin and a bowling ball buddy for Mr.Pin!!!

His next adventure was with Angel, a machine technician, in West Nyack, New York. Wow!! That seems like hard work going through the machines of the bowling alley. And it seems that if you are not careful, your hands or even your body will have an accident!!! Foster found out that Angel have a daughter and a granddaughter. Foster gave Angel $10,000 for his daughter's education, gave him a raise and a new job - Head Mechanic! Angel also will be given extra pay for organizing a bowling league!!! How about that???

Next job was in the control room with Jermaine in Houston, Texas. Jermaine has only been with the company for 6 weeks, in charge of reservations and make sure the lanes are smoothly going on. Jermaine is also studying computer science, used to be a graphic designer and have a son born blind. What did Jermaine received from Foster?? He will work with the systems operator, and design a tee shirt, to which a portion of the sale will go to Jermaine's son!!! That is incredible!!!

His last stop was in Manhattan with Brianna,a waitress, at their most successful spot. Brianna has been very busy every night serving hundreds of people. Was Foster good as a waiter??? No!!! He dumped a tray of drinks in front of the customers!!! Ha!Ha! Ha! What a clumsy guy!!! He found out that the breakroom for staff is outside the kitchen on a window ledge!!! Wow!!! The staff nust be really good and have not complained!!! During Foster's talk with Brianna, he learned that she went back to her mother's house after her mother's divorce, and Brianna would like to open a day care center in the house! Foster gave $10,000 to Brianna to develop her day care center, a new breakroom and in charge of a new children's program called Bowling with Bri!!!

As usual, like in the other undercover boss program, only a few gets lucky!!! The CEO'S should also give rewards to all, not only to the chosen ones!! You will probably say, " Tough, these people were chosen to be with the big boss!" I wonder what was the criteria for selecting the employees that will train the CEO's??? That is good with the few lucky ones, but I think each and everyone of the staff should get something from the big boss!!! What do you think??? Any comments???

Dancing With The Stars, 11152010

Dancing With The Stars is down to 4 semi-finalists: Brandy Norwood and Maksim Chmerkovskiy, Jennifer Grey and Derek Hough, Bristol Palin and Mark Ballas, and Kyle Massey and Lacey Schwimmer. Who was eliminated? You have to wait for a second.

The episode consists of 2 rounds. In the first round, Brandy and Maksim danced the Paso doble where they earned a score of 27; Jennifer and Derek danced the Cha-Cha where they received a score of 30. Jennifer really looked good at her age!!! And her dancing was unbelievable considering that she has many things wrong with her body!!! The next team was Bristol and Mark with their Paso doble. Wow!! Bristol was very impressive with her dance!!! Where did she get those dance move??? Their score??? 27!!! The last team to perform was Kyle and Lacey with their Samba. Kyle can really move even though his body is not thin!! He is such an entertainer! Score?? 29!!!

In the second round, Brandy and Maksim did the Tango, earning a perfect score of 30! Jennifer and Derek did the waltz which earned them a perfect score of 30. Again!!! Bristol and Mark was next with their ok waltz, earning them a score of 26. Kyle and Lacey did an Argentine Tango and they earned a score of 29!!! What is wrong with Len?? Why can't he give Kyle a score of 10??? Who knows??? Comments, anyone???

There was quite a bit of focus on the screen with Sarah Palin. Why??? She is really the celebrity in the DWTS!!! How come the other parents are not fussed that much??? You do not know why??? I think you know why, and I am not going to spell it to you!!! Ha! Ha!

The performers for the evening were Annie Lennox and Enrique Iglesias. Who cares about the performers??? Oh, oh... We just want to know who will be eliminated so we will know who is going to be the 3 finalists!!! Do you want to bet who will be eliminated??? No, because I really do not have the slightest clue!!! On the other hand, I thought for sure that Bristol and Mark will be eliminated!!! That is what you think!!! Wrong thinking!!!

Brandy and Maksim were eliminated!!!! You should have seen Derek's mouth when Brandy and Maksim's names were announced!!! A whole elephant could have gone into his mouth!!!! Ha! Ha! Ha! His mouth was sooooo wide open!!! Derek was totally shocked!!!! And so with Brandy and Maksim!!! Does that mean that Bristol and Mark have more fans than Brandy and Maksim??? Probably!!! And it probably was to teach Maksim a lesson about his mad encounter with Carrie Ann Inaba!!! It might also be Mama Palin's big influence with the voting public!!! Take your pick for the reason or reasons!!! Any comments???

Who will win?? Sad to say, but I think Brandy and Maksim are sore losers!!! They were predicting Kyle to win!!! Come on...these 2 know that Jennifer and Derek are the best dancers of the 3 teams. Why did they not pick Jennifer and Derek??? They were just upset that they were not in the finals!!! You two should have rallied all of your friends to have voted for you!!!! It has happened before in the past DWTS, that a very good dancer was eliminated because they did not have enough votes outside. Sorry, Brandy and Maksim, get on with your lives and stop whining!!! You guys are terrible losers!!! Just be happy for the three teams remaining!!!!

Who will win??? Jennifer and Derek unless they screw their dances on the finals!!!!

Airport Screenings

The airport screenings nowadays is something to be desired! I thought I should put in my 2 cents of blogging, since that is a very hot topic nowadays!!!!

The Transportation Security Administration has been mandated by the United States govenment to subject all people flying in and out of the United States to be subjected to an invasive scrutiny of a person's body! What do you mean all people?? I heard that the people wearing burtka's and are from the Middle East are not subjected to this degrading groping and naked picture taking!!! How are they exempted?? I do not know and I am not really sure why they should ever be exempted!!! If all of us has to do it, it is just right that every one... no exceptions should have to abide to the full body scanner and aggressive groping!!! Any comments from anyone????

Why and when did this start?? It started because of a Nigerian wearing a bomb in his underwear on Christmas Day. Damn those terrorists!!! But I really, honestly think that if the government really want to eliminate the terrorists, they can do so! Don't you all agree?? Because of them, our democratic way of life is starting to go kaput! What do you mean starting??? Whether we like it or not, we do not have freedom anymore!!! Sure we can go anywhere we want to but isn't there a camera now all over the streets and wherever you go??? Every move we make is recorded...every conversation we do is recorded.... and now, the government has a truck with an x-ray concoction that travels on the roads to take pictures of the inside of our cars if they think your car is a suspect!!! My!My! My!! Gone are those happy, merry, democratic way of life for us!!! Hold on... we were talking about the airport screening, you are deviating again from the subject??? I cannot help it, but I think this is intertwined with the security in the airport!

I have an idea... Oh, oh, I am afraid to ask what it is! Here is my idea... Since Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays are fast approching, and there will be many travelers, why can't our government, starting with President Obama and family, to the senators and all their families, congressmen and all their families, and all of his cabinets and their families, go for a full body scan and aggressive groping which is personal pat downs including their groins? These govenment people should do it in the airport in front of the people flying! Is this asking too much?? Perhaps, if people will see that the President and the other government officials can do it, then the subjects, meaning all of us will probably be more submissive with what the TSA is doing! Ha! Subjects??? My goodness, sounds like we are under a monarch!! Wow!!! How about that??? Lead by example...our beloved government!!!! Right??? Any comments???

True, the body scanning and pat downs make our flying safer, but it is really ridiculous, and I think it has really gone too far!!! It is an invasion of privacy! I really do not want to be grope by anyone on my private parts, especially strangers!! Only our husbands or wives should be able to feel us!! Is that asking too much??? Supposed the person that is groping you is a pervert?? How about the person in the full body scanner?? Did these people go through background checks??? I know that Janet Napolitano said that the pictures are discarded right away. Suppose someone doing it has other ideas?? Is the person alone or are there are many in the room??? If he is by himself, anything can happen!!!! Right???

If someone refuse either the scanner or the groping, then the person will pay a $10,000 fine!!! Wow!!! That is really deep!!! Why can't we all just change our outfits before we go through security and tell the TSA that it is against our religion to be groped or scanned??? Then they have to think of other ways, is it not?? This is really weird!!!

Why is it that the only ones doing this is the airport in the United States??? How come the other countries are not doing it??? Are you sure the other airports are not doing it?? I am not really sure, but I am just concerned for now here in the US. Are the other countries more proactive? Do they have more expertise in security screenings? Why are the US citizens being treated like second class citizens??? Why can't we have normalcy in the airports? If the other countries are more keen and savvy with their security, why can't we send our people for training?

Hopefully, all of this will be resolved before the holiday travel. Take care every one and may God bless America and all of us!!!

Amazing Race, 11142010

The Amazing Race episode for this week took the teams 4,000 miles to Muscat, Oman. Once in Oman, the teams had to go to Burj Al Mubkaharah where a man would give them their time to climb the fort to get their next clue! When the teams landed in Oman, they found the place very hot....90 degrees! Wow! That is surely scorching!!!!

The next clue took the teams to Jabel Shams, the tallest mountain in Oman. There, one member of the team had to rappel 500 feet down the mountain to find Aladdin's ring in one of the lamps! Yikes!!! That was not only scary going down the mountain, but also physically demanding to look for a ring in hundreds of lamps scattered at the bottom of the mountain!!! One really had to have stamina, courage and determination to do all the physical challenges in this show!!! Wow!!! I do not think I have the stomach to do all the things that the teams had to do and endure!!!! Is any of you up to the challenges of this reality show????

From the mountain, they had to travel to find a stack of books in the town of Nizwa. Wow!!! I wonder who thought of those giant books and why??? That is your next homework!!! Ha! Ha! Ha! You are curious, then look for the answer, and let us know!!!
At Nizwa, the teams had a choice of Water Table or Wedding Table.

In Water Table, teams had to fill a delivery truck with water. That is an easy task! Hold on! The water had to be pumped from an ancient well! Oh, oh... Once the truck is filled, and delivered to a designated house, the next clue will be handed out!

In Wedding Table, teams had to go to an Arab market to buy 25 frozen chickens and the ingredients to make a traditional wedding soup. This soup symbolize health and virility! The clue will be given once the Maqbous dish had been delivered to the bride and groom!

All of the teams chose the water table! That seems to be easier than making soup!!! The next clue took the teams to Muttrah Souq, a market in Muscat. There they should find a vendor who will give them frankincense which they have to give to the famous Ali Baba, who will hand them the next clue!!

The Pit Stop was at Alam Palace. The first team to check in was Jill and Thomas. Unfortunately for them, they were penalized for 1/2 hour for paying a taxi driver to lead them to one of the places in the clue! While they were waiting, Chad and Stephanie checked in!

Wow!!! This is a very lucky day for Chad and Stephanie! Chad proposed to Stephanie earlier on one knee in front of the Arabian Sea amid the cheers of the other 5 teams! Now they were in first place, winning a trip to Belize!!! Hooray for Chad and Stephanie!!!

Who was eliminated? The father/ daughter team of Gary Ervin and Mallory Ervin! Whose fault was it? Mallory for not listening to her father when she was trying to read the map and got lost! They were driving for 9 hours!!! Wowie!!! Mallory should have listened to her father to just ask directions from the locals, which she turned down!!! Mallory, you are a nincompoop! Do you think that because you are Miss Kentucky, that you know everything and you did not listen to your father??? That was a huge mistake that could have been avoided!!! Sometimes, the elders, hence, your father knows best!!! After all, he is more experienced and smart!!!!

Survivor - Nicaragua, 11112010

The survivors were recently merged into one tribe - the Libertad tribe. Will Marty remain as the puppet master? Will Nash and Brenda remain the controlling partners of the tribe? When will the tribe members realize about the dynamic duo??

The reward challenge for a barbeque was very physical. The survivors had to burst through hay, sticks and bricks! The men and women had to be divided randomly, except Chase who will sit out during the competition. Whoa!!! The teams were divided...all the men ended up in one team, and the women in another team! Wow! How ironic that is for the women. They do not have a chance to win with all the men against them. That was sooo unfair!! And the idiot Chase chose to be with the women! What is wrong with Chase? Can't he see who the women were pitted against a very physical, demanding challenge?? What was he thinking???

The men had a good time during the barbeque feast and they had the time to really bond with each other. They were busy concocting a plan of who should go next. Will the plan succeed??

On the camp, the puppet master was busy telling everyone that they are going to put down NaOnka's name so that her immunity idol will be flushed out but they are really going to blindside Jane! This has really became a war between Marty and Jane! Who will survive??

The immunity idol was once again for grabs. The memory challenge was indeed challenging. Jeff Probst will show a series of pictures and the survivors have to remember the order the pictures were showed! That needs concentration big time! Who do you think won? The last 2 were Marty and Brenda. I was holding my breath who would emerge as the winner. Brenda won!! Hip! Hip! Hurray!!!

During the tribal council, Jeff instigated again the food stolen by NaOnka. Jeff!!! You are really enjoying this, are you not?? Anyway, NaOnka and Marty had a few "nice words" with each other again! Even Fabio had to put in his 2 cents worth of comments! Wow!!! That was a very heated discussion on the tribal council!!!

Who was voted off? Jane ended up with 4 votes, and Marty, 7 votes!!! Marty did not know that it was coming!!! It was about time that he left!!! He is getting to be irritating!! A master puppet, indeed!!!Comments, anyone????

Dancing With The Stars, 11082010

Extra! Extra! There is an existing feud between a judge and a professional dancer!!! Who will win in the feud??? The judge or the professional dancer???

I have mixed feelings concerning this. First of all, a judge is supposed to judge the dance, be it the celebrity dancer or the professional, the technique and how the dance is executed. No ifs, no buts! The judges have a final say, no matter what!!! Right??? You mean the professionals should just take it in one ear and let it go out the other ear??? Just say amen to everything that the judges say??? That is not fair!!! What is fair in this crooked, sad world of ours??? True, but I think the judges sometimes think they are gods on the floor and they can say anything! They do not care if the words are harsh or will bite and burst the ego of the professionals even though the professionals bust their behinds almost 24/7!!! You are right. And if there is drama in a show...any show, the ratings go up!!! People are very strange... they want to see confrontation!!! Any comments???

Who are you talking about??? Carrie Ann Inaba and Maksim Chmerkovskiy! Maksim was not happy with Carrie Ann's criticism of the Cha Cha performed with partner Brandy Norwood! They waited 4 beats to pass before starting with their dance! What is wrong with that? Maksim is trying to be dramatic!! Nenenenene...Maksim...your plan did not work!!! But how else could they know if they do not try what the judges like and do not like??? That is sooo true!!! So, who won?? Carrie Ann or Maksim??? What do you all think??? Comments, anyone???

Tied for first place with a score of 57 were the teams of Jennifer/Derek and Brandy/Maksim!!! This was the first perfect score of 3 - 10's which Jennifer received for her Rumba!!! It was sooo elegant, and very, very nice!!!

Kyle Massey and Lacey Schwimmer received a score of 56 that night. Their Jive was fantastic!!! I tell you, Kyle can really dance!

Kurt Warner/ Anna Trebunskaya and Bristol Palin/ Mark Ballas are still so-so in their dancing. Sure, they have improved a lot, but they still need many, many hours of practice!!! Bristol dodge elimination again! Is this thanks to her Mama and her tea party??? Maybe, maybe not. Who knows?? But I think next week will be the last week that she will be in DWTS! Needless to say, Kurt and Anna were kicked off this week!!!

Who will be the next celebrity to say adios??? Anybody want to bet that it will be Bristol and Mark??? Well, we have to wait and see....

Undercover Boss - Chicago Cubs, 11072010

This episode features one of the owners of the Chicago Cubs, a baseball franchise at Wrigley Field in Chicago. Todd Ricketts is the youngest of the 4 siblings who was delegated to be the undercover boss! Sounds familiar, all of you that are the youngest of the siblings??? You always get to do the dirty work of the oldest siblings!!! Ha! Ha! Ha! Just kidding!!! I am sure this is not the case of the Ricketts.

Like I said before, the storyline is all the same ... the undercover boss gets to spend a day or two with an employee to learn the job. While on the job, the undercover boss gets the life history of the trainer, then the trainer gets a little piece of the pie of the company!!!! I did not say a piece of the pie, but a little, itty, bitty piece!!! Like what?? A paid vacation, a scholarship for the employee or the employee's children.

The Chicago Cubs Undercover Boss is in the same category. Todd Ricketts was with Darryl, a day crew maintenance and scoreboard operator. What did Ricketts do? He had to clean all of the restroom and fully stock it up for game day!!! I did not know that they just hose the toilets with plenty of water and let it dry!! I hope they also did it with bleach, I did not really pay attention of what they used!!! Why did you not pay attention??? I was doing something else while watching!!! Hmmm... Anyway, why do I have to explain to you??? It is not scrubbing the toilets like the hotels!!! Oh,well. Todd Ricketts was very slow with his work and soo clumsy that Darryl fired him!!! Now, that was funny!!!! To redeem himself, he went back to be a scoreboeard operator!! I did not know that the scores are done manually?? Or did I miss something again??? The scoreboard operator had the best seat in the football field!!! How about that???

Ricketts tried his luck next on the concessions, selling hotdogs. Did you know that they sell 1.5 million hotdogs per year?? Wow!!! A very big business!!! But the vendors are only paid commission. I wonder how much??? Why?? Are you going to try to do it?? No, I am just curious, because Rocco, who was showing Ricketts the art of selling hotdogs had been in the business for 28 years, since he was 16!!! A very long time!!! He must be making good money that is why he stayed. Ricketts found out that selling hotdog is a very demanding, back breaking job, and you need to yell a lot!!! At the end of the day, there were still 4 hotdogs left.Do you know what Ricketts did?? Paid $20.00 from his own pocket and threw the 4 hotdogs in the garbage!!! Rocco saw the hotdogs in the garbage and was furious! Ricketts denied and lied on national TV!!! Oh, oh, not good for an owner!!! What do you guys think???

Ricketts next assignment was with Joe, and the grounds crew, where they had to make sure the infield is in perfect condition, rain or shine! This is also a very hard task which need lots of hands to get the job done!

Next stop was with Jose, the parking lot attendant, who makes sure that the cars are in a tight straight line for maximum cars. He failed on this task also! Then he saw a friend while doing it, so he disappeared to tell his friend what is going on! Oh, oh, almost busted!!!

The next thing was revealing his true identity in the corporate office and rewatding the 4 people that he came in contact with!!!

How about the rest of the employees? Hopefully, the management will extend the good fortune to the other employees that the management did not have any contact with!!! Is this a lot to ask the management???

Amazing Race, 11072010

This leg of the race took the teams to Russia. Jill and Thomas were the first to arrive from St. Isaac's Cathedral to the Abtobo Circus. The teams then had to choose between Circus Band or Circus Clown. In Circus Band, teams had to choose an accordion player to teach them to play a Russian folksong. When they could correctly perform the 3 songs, they will get the next clue. How hard is that??? If you do not have musicality, I think that is really hard which some teams learned!!! In the Circus Clown, teams had to learn a traditional plate spinning. The 10 plates had to spin simultaneously, That sounds sooo much fun!!! Oh, yeah?? I do not think so!!! I think some of the teams that chose this task had a very hard time with spinning the plates!

The teams then had to find Bank Bridge, the canal bridge guarded by 4 creatures with golden wings. There they will get their next clue which is to travel on foot to 1 Vladimirskiy Street Tower. They have to climb a tower to figure out the small figurine on the ledge to visit the famous St. Petersburg building, the Church On Spilled Blood.

The next clue was to find where Peter the Great was buried. Teams had to ask the locals and some were not able to help them out. This clue took them to Peter and Paul Fortress, where they had to do a Russian game "Gorodki", similar to our bowling. With the use of a wooden bat, one of the teams had to clear all pins in 3 different formation. Once this task is accomplished, they will get the next clue which is to go to the Pit Stop, in the bastion at St. Peter and Paul Fortress.

Kevin and Michael Wu had trouble with the plates, then in Gorodki, Michael Wu decided to do the task, only to find that he is such a weakling that their team ended head to head with Stephanie and Chad in the last place! Kevin and Michael beat Stephanie and Chad in the Gorodki court but not on the Pit Stop. But, they were sent back by Phil Keoghan to settle their bill with their taxi! Come on, Michael and Kevin, you still have a chance!!! Not on your life, missy! The Wu's encountered a 1 hour penalty due to a missed instruction on their clue which specifically says to travel by foot to the tower!!!! A very huge, costly mistake for the Wu's who got eliminated!

Once again, the doctors, Nat and Kat emerged as the leader of the pack! For their reward, they each earned $5,000!!!! This team is really a go getter, an unstoppable team that the other teams had to reckon with!! Way to go, Nat and Kat!!!!!

Apprentice, 11042010

In this episode, Donald Trump changes the team. Fortitude now has David, Poppy, Stephanie and Anand, while Octane consists of Clint, Brandy, Liza and Steuart.

What was the task? To design a 4 page advertisement for the clothing line - shirts, ties and cuff links, of Donald Trump's signature clothing which is available at Macy's. Trump gave the team a warning that this task is very personal to him, so they need to impress him!! Of course, it is personal to him, it is not only his collection, but he is thinking of the revenue that will be generated to add to his bundle of money!!!! Got it??? The team will be judged by Terry Lundgren, President and Chairman of Macy's, according to 3 criteria: creativity, brand integration and overall presentation! The project manager of the winning team will be meeting with Terry Lundgren.

David was the project manager of Fortitude. Their motif was everything in black, which David thought was original and classy except the shirts and ties should be in color. The model showed up and instantly, David had all but praises for the young model, which Anand jokes David about some " man crush." Wow! That was deep, Anand!!! Do you think that is what prompted the fussing to each other of David and Anand??? Who knows?? David delivers the presentation without rehearsing. The judges liked the contrasting colors on the models, but seemed concerned about the ill- fitting clothes on the models!

The project manager for Octane was Brandy, who immediately proposes something sexual. Clint also suggested sex, power and wealth as the presentation's motif. It will be a woman on a bed wearing a men's clothing the morning after! Steuart and Brandy were going to meet with the models, only to find out that the models were nowhere in sight! Steuart and Brandy made an executive decision, to be the models of their team!! Eric Trump visited Octane and applauded Brandy for taking an additional work as a model, but he was concerned that her other duties might be shortchanged! Eric was also concerned about the raciness of the photoshoot for Trump's image!! During presentation, Brandy stumbles on her delivery, calling it Trump collection. It should have been Donald J. Trump Signature collection!

Well, who was the winner??? Although Terry Lundgren likes Fortitude's motif, he did not pick it because of the model not fitting in the shirt! Terry Lundgren decided that he likes Octane's ad so much that he is going to use it in a major Macy's campaign! So, sex surely sells???? Of course, it does!!! But that seems to be a new image for Donald Trump, is it not??? Ha! Ha! Ha! It is about time!!! He is married to a beautiful woman and is always surrounded by beautiful women across the universe!!!!

In the boardroom, Trump asks Brandy if she was having an affair with Steuart which she calmly denied, and said that she prefers older men!!! Whoa!!! Donald Trump!!! Your mind is in the gutter!!! I did not know you are a " DOM ," dirty, old man!!! Whoopsie, you were so intrigued with their performances, you just have to blurt it out!!! Ha! Ha! Ha! That tells us, you are as human as the rest of us...only with more money!!!! So, who got fired? David Johnson, 34, of Portage, Michigan!

Survivor, Episode 8 11032010

In this episode, the tribe merged to become one! Were the members still honoring their alliances and friendships? You bet! In the merge, there are no more group rewards or group challenges, instead it is the new beginning for individual challenges and individual rewards. Is this not too early in the game??? Nothing is too early for the show! The producers can do what they want to do!! Right?? Sigh! You are right! They are the boss of this reality show!!

What is this about NaOnka being controversial again? Well, NaOnka is being NaOnka. She made tortillas for the tribe and she was fuming when someone ate the largest one she tried to make for herself! Serves you right, NaOnka for being greedy! Anyway, NaOnka was left with the smallest tortilla so she planned her revenge by stealing the flour and hiding it in the woods! Little did she know that Holly saw her!! Wait! It was not only the flour that she stole, but she also stole fruits and the frying pan! Then she shares it with Alina! Alina, you are a fool! Alina took the bait!!! she ate the fruits with NaOnka!!! I guess that is what food can do to you if you are hungry. The temptation is sooo big that Alina could not resist the temptress in the name NaOnka! Now, NaOnka has a partner in crime!!! Way to go, NaOnka!!! I guess because of too much food, NaOnka can still think that she neede someone to go down with her!!! And it worked!!!

The confrontation.... Since Holly saw NaOnka steal the flour, she announced it to everyone, which NaOnka denied at first. Fabio stood up to her! Wow! I cannot believe that Fabio kept on going after NaOnka! Woo...hooo...Fabio, you suddenly woke up!!! That's what food will do to you!!! NaOnka was cornered, so she told everyone that Alina was her partner in crime!!! I think, Brenda, one of her alliance was so surprised with what NaOnka did to the food. Enough af NaOnka....

There is a new bond that has developed between Jane and Chase, just because they were both from North Carolina! Whatever happened to Brenda and Chase's bond? It seemed it had gone cold when they got separated. Brenda's alliance is now with Sash and NaOnka! NaOnka is such a lucky gal that she has a good, tight alliance!

Who won in the immunity challenge? Jane, of all people, won for the ladies! Unbelievable!!! Jane, the skinny, older lady???? Wow!! There is still hope for the older generation out there!! Way to go, Jane!!! And Jane did not even quit until the men had a winner!! What does this show??? She is a show off and is telling everyone to beware of Jane!!! Will that make her a target, since she can win challenges??? Who knows with this game???

Who got voted off? Marty dodged the bullet again because of Nash and against Jane's protests! You can really see that Jane and Marty are at each other's throats. I think that the tribe made a huge mistake of not voting Marty off yet! Watch him emerge as the puppet master again!!! Alina, of course, got voted off because of the stolen food and she did not have any faithful alliance like NaOnka!!!

Will the alliance of Brenda, Sash and NaOnka survived? Chase and Jane? Marty, Dan and Fabio?? Will we see a new alliance forming? Will NaOnka do another stupid, crazy move?? We will have to wait and see....

Dancing with The Stars, 11022010

Last week's Dancing With The Stars is the 200th episode of the show, and there were many celebrities in the audience from previous shows. There were also 2 team captains, previous DWTS champions who picked their team members. Both team danced the Cha-Cha.

The first team captain was Kristi Yamaguchi, whose team comprised of Rick and Cheryl, Bristol and Mark and Kyle and Lacey. The second team captain was Apolo Ohno whose team was made up of Kurt and Anna, Brandy and Maks, Jennifer and Derek. When I saw the team, I already thought who will win, and I was right! Why didn't Kristi picked either Jennifer or Brandy on her team?? Was this prearranged??? Hmmmm....Kristi's team scored 24, and Apolo's team had a 27 score! They sure delivered better than Kristi's team!

Then came the individual dance competition with previous celebrities as judges, with the re-creation of their best dance performance! Mel B, season 5, judged Kyle and Massey with Mel's paso doble. Kyle looked sooo serious with an attitude! Mel gave them a 10!!! Wow!!! That was a big surprise! They earned a score of 35! Overall score: 59!

The next judge was Emmitt Smith, season 3 champion. Kurt and Anna mimicked Emmitt's Tango Though I thought it was not that good, they still earned a 10 from Emmitt! Score: 34.

Next was Rick Fox and Cheryl Burke with Helio Castroneves' Quickstep! Helio's had a banana outfit, bright yellow on his performance, and Rick chose an all green outfit, a la the Jolly Green Giant! Rick even imitated the kiss at the end! Score? 10 from Helio, earning them a 37! Overall score: 61!!!

How about Bristol Palin and Mark ballas?? Kelly Osbourne, season 9, gave them only a 9 for their rendition of the Viennese Waltz. Score:33, overall:57! Kelly Osbourne chaged her hairdo to a ponytail! I am still not sure if I like it!

How about Gilles Marini of season 8? Brandy and Maksim performed the Foxtrot! The first thing I saw was Brandy's leopard print gloves! Gilles gave them onle a 9, giving them a score of 37!

The last dance was Drew Lachey's Tango, season 2 champion. Dancers wer Jennifer Grey and Derek Hoigh who cries a lot during practice! Drew gave them a 10, garnering a score of 37!!!

Who was eliminated? Rick Fox, the jolly green giant and Cheryl Burke!!!

Who will be eliminated this week? Probably Bristol and Mark! They are always in the bottom 3! Any bets????

Daylight Saving's Time, 2010

Daylight Saving's Time for 2010 ended today at 2:00am November 7, 2010! Did you all remember to move your clocks back one hour and gain 1 hour of extra sleep today??? Yippeee!!! I think the people in the bars are the ones really rejoicing!!! Why??? They got an extra hour of drinking and boozing today, isn't that right??? I see many happy faces nodding in unison!!!

Daylight Saving Time, Daylight Saving's Time or DST starts every year on the 2nd Sunday in March at 2:00am, where we set the clocks ahead one hour and lose 1 hour of sleep. It ends in November! The best way to remember is " Spring forward, Fall back,"

Why do we have DST? It allows us to use less energy to light our houses by taking advantage of the longer and later daylight hours, during the 8 months of Daylight Saving's Time. The DST was instituted in the United States during World War 1 to save energy for war production by taking advantage of the later hours of daylight between April and October!

There are some states that does not observe DST - Arizona, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, US Virgin Islands and American Samoa. The days are more consistent in lenght throughout the year because these areas are closer to the equator. Wow!! I really learned a lot again today!

Daylight Saving's Time is good, if you know when the changes are. There was one year that we did not have any idea that the time changed. We went to church and that was the fastest service I have ever been! It was almost over when we arrived!!! That was sooo embarrassing!!!! You are really nincompoop! How could you not know it??? It is all over the news!!! I do not know...maybe we were on a different planet that time!!! Ha! Ha! Ha! Needless to say, that was the only and last time we did not know of the change!!!

The only thing with DST, you are used to a certain time to go to bed, now the sleep patterns are messed up!!! Oh, well.. You will get used to it again!!!

Have a nice week!!!!

Veteran's Day, 2010

Veteran's Day is an annual United States federal holiday honoring military veterans. It is also called Armistice Day or Remembrance Day due to the anniversary of signing of the armistice that ended World War 1.

The first Armistice Day was proclaimed by United States President Woodrow Wilson on November 11, 1919. It was not until May 13, 1938 that November 11th became a legal holiday. On June 1, 1954, Congress amended the act replacing Amistice Day with Veteran's Day. It seems there is so much history on the Veteran's Day, isn't it???

In 1971, in accordance with the Uniform Monday Holiday Act, Veteran's Day was moved to the 4th Monday in October, only to be moved back to November 11 in 1978! What is the Uniform Monday Holiday Act? It is a bill which Congress passed in 1968 which moved a number of federal holidays to Mondays, among them Washington's birthday or President's Day, Memorial Day and Veteran's Day. The 4 holidays that were not moved were New Year's Day, January 1st, Christmas Day, December 25th, Thanksgiving Day, 4th Thursday in November and July 4th! What was the purpose of this bill? There are a number of reasons, among them to reduce absenteeism before and after a midweek holiday, and to give the federal workers a chance to have a long weekend to be with their families who may be far apart! Wow! That was nice of them to think of the workers! Do you see the concern of businesses now with their employees??? Not really!! Times have really changed!!! Nowadays, it seems in the workplace, it is the survival of the fittest!!! Am I right or not??? Comments, anyone???

Veterans Day National Ceremony is held each year on November 11th at Arlington National Cemetery with wreath laying at the Tomb of the Unknowns. The ceremony is to honor and thank all who served in the US Armed Forces. Some communities have their own parades and ceremonies.

Are all businesses open? Some are closed including banks and federal offices, and some are open including schools, local governments, and retail stores, which might have a lot of Veteran's Day sale!!!

Let us all thank and pray for all the people that have served and are serving in the military! Without them, we would not have the democracy that we are enjoying now!!! Thank you all!!!!

Undercover Boss - Chiquita Brand International, 10312010

The feature for this week's Undercover Boss is CEO of Chiquita Brand International, Fernando Aguirre. This is one succes story of an immigrant who worked hard to realize the American dream. He immigrated to the United States at age 17. Chiquita Brand International is based in Cincinnati, Ohio and I did not realized that it also distribute vegetables and other fruits! Did you know that??? I learned something new again today!!!

Fernando Aguirre headed Chiquita since 2004 and brings home more than $7.6 million a year!!!! Wow!!! Does anyone know what a $7.6 million look like??? I do not know about all of you, but wow!!! I do not think I will make that much in my lifetime!!!! Maybe if I win the lotto or something!!! Ha! Ha! Ha! Aguirre is also part owner of Cincinnati Reds! Why not, if he could afford it!!!!

Fernando should be thankful that he does not have to do the physical work in his company, because he will be fired just like that!!! He tried his hand operating a fork lift with Fernando to process some banana shipments across the United States making sure the bananas do not get bruised. It took him 3 hours to unload 1 truck, where Fernando can unload 4 trucks in 3 hours!!!! My! My! My! That was very slow!!!! Well, it is his first day at work.... let me see you do it and see how long it will take you!!! Sorry to burst your bubble, but I am not a forklift operator!!!! Ha! What did Fernando, the forklift operator got as a reward? A new forklift machine!!! Ha! Ha! Ha! That is not a reward!!! That is a reward for the company!!!! Hmmmppphhh!!!! Fernando also received a week long dream vacation for him and his family!!! If I was Fernando, I would have opted for a pay increase, then I could probably afford a vacation with my family every year!!! What do you think, guys????

Aguirre's next stop was with Magic, a young produce dryer operator. This is a fast paced, chilly environment!!! It was a constant barrel changing under the machine. As soon as the barrel was full of the salad, the barrel had to be replaced with an empty barrel!!! Aguirre failed miserably on that one also! Many lettuce ended up on the floor!!! I wonder if the workers just pick those up and end in the supermarket?? And maybe that is why sometimes, there are salmonella bugs on the salad bags??? Hopefully not!!! What was Magic's reward?? Aguirre arranged Magic to be a part of a supervisory training program to eventually become a plant manager, and he will be his personal mentor! He also awarded a $10,000 scholarship fund for his 2 kids!!! I think this is better, but I was just thinking, how about the other people in his company with little kids?? Is he going to give them each a $10,000 scholarship for their kids??? I do not think so!!! That is why, I think this is not fair to everybody in the company. Only the chosen ones get rewarded!!! Not fair!!! What is fair in this crooked world of ours??? Ha! I rest my case!!!

Next was shipping with Anna, who works for Chiquita and does not even like bananas!!! Oh, oh, she is a blabber mouth! If I was her, I would not tell that to anyone!!! She was busted!!!! Aguirre blew this job also!! Anna's reward? An improve computer sysytems, an elevator and a $5,000 donation to a local animal shelter in Anna's name!!! Anna, you fool, Chiquita will get the honors and the tax credit for that!!! Why didn't the CEO just give her a big, fat raise or bonus??? Cheap! Cheap! Cheap!!

Last stop was in the lettuce fields in Salinas, California. This is really a physical, demanding job... bend over to pick the lettuce, core it and put in the conveyor belt in 10 seconds or less! Shucks!!! That was fast! Why can't they slow the conveyor belt a little??? That is cruel!!!! No wonder, it is only migrant workers that wants this job!! Long hours, from 5 in the morning until late at night, with minimum wage??? Ayyayay!!! Leo, the lettuce picker has been doing this for a very long time. He spends 6 months in California and 6 months in Arizona with his family!!! Wow!!! That is what I call a real sacrifice for the family! Leo's reward? Company will pay for all legal fees for him and his family to be an American citizen and a dream vacation for him and his family!!!! Why? How much does it cost to be an American citizen? He was here for a long time, and I am assuming that he entered the country legally. Any comments???

The Undercover Boss is good and dandy, but the only lucky ones to get something from the big boss are the lucky chosen 3 or 4 employees!!! How are these 4 picked??? Do they picked the ones that have the saddest story to tell??? Why can't the big boss give rewards to all of the employees, not only to the chosen 4??? Is that asking too much from CEO'S that are earning outrageous and sinful amounts of money??? Comments, anyone???

Amazing Race 10312010

The Amazing Race segment this week took the teams to St. Petersburg, Russia where the teams had to travel 12,000 miles by car, train and plane. The first to depart was Nat and Kat. The teams had to find the Rostral Columns to get their next clue. In the clue, the teams had to choose between classical music and classic cinema.

In classical music, they had to go to a historic palace to find a maestro with 3 gramophones to listen to 3 different compositions being played. Teams had to enter 2 adjacent ballroom filled with piano and pianists. Ay..ya...yay.... that was insane!!!! All of them were playing at the same time!!!! Wow!!!! A mentally challenging game that needs the utmost concentration!!!! Do you think you have the concentration needed for this challenge??? The teams had a hard time figuring out which piano was playing the correct composition that some of them gave up and went to the other clue!!! Once the correct composition was identified, the next clue was given!

In classic cinema, teams had to travel to Lenfilms, a legendary film studio and a soundstage where the first movie was screened in Russia. Teams had to search through piles of film clips and find one that matched any scene playing on the screen. Yikes!!! You should have seen the faces of the teams when they saw the mound of films!!!! Once they find the correct clip of Sergei Eisentein's classic film, October, they will get the next clue!

Partners Jill and Thomas were the first to get the film right. They proceeded to Palace Square in the town of Aleksandrovskaya, where one team member had to put on a traditional babushka clothing and plant a row of 50 potatoes, fertilized with cow manure!!! Wow!!! That was really an exhausting, physical demanding task!!! That was good that the younger Wu did it! I do not think the elder Wu would have done the task successfully!!!

The Pit Stop was at St. Isaac's Cathedral, the largest Russian Orthodox Church in St. Petersburg. Kevin and Michael should have been first but Kevin did not listen to his father, Michael, to check in the park across the street! Kevin, you should sometimes listen to your father's wisdom!!! That is what sometimes happens...the children think they know everything!!!! Nenenenene, Kevin, it cost you to be number one and the trip to Sao Paulo, Brazil which Jill and Thomas won!!!

Vicki and Nick was the last team to arrive, but they did not get eliminated because it was a non-elimination leg of the race!!! Lucky them!!! And they were also lucky that they did not have any penalties for being the last team to arrive!!!

Seems that the winners of a leg constantly changes, which is really good. There will be more winners of prizes, and it seems that every team has an equal chance of winning the million dollars!!! Who do you think will be the winner??? Comments????

Election Results

Hip! Hip! Hooray!!!! The midterm elections is finally done and over with!!!! We will all be spared of the advertisements of the candidates all over the television, on the lawns, on the streets, on the internet, in the mail and door to door campaigning by the candidates!!!! Phew!!! That is a lot of money, time and effort spent by the candidates. Until yesterday at 3 pm, there was a candidate knocking on our door for the last minute plea to get our votes!!!

The material that came to our house was so much that it could probably fit one large garbage bag! Ha! Ha! Ha! Are you serious, or are you kidding??? Well, I tell you, it was a lot!!! And the leaflets or the election materials were made of those glossy, expensive materials, and came in different sizes!!! The candidates sure spent a lot of fortune with their campaigns!!!!

Did the candidates you voted for got elected??? I think some of the candidates I voted came out victorious. Great!! Now let us just hope that these newly elected officials will listen to the people that they are governing and not be swayed by the great speeches and rhetorics of the people in the higher hierarchy!! Let us all hope and pray that the newly elected officials will only think of what this great country stands for, the democratic way of life!!! May these newly elected officials remember that this country under God is for the people, by the people and for the people!!!!

We, the people, will be watching every politician, won't we? Then, we, the people will have a chance to see them get re-elected or not in 2012!!!! Let us all hope and pray that with the newly elected officials that our unemployment, economy, health insurance and housing will be better and once again, America will emerge as a great nation!!!!

God bless America and all of us!!!!
